December 13, 2024 After winning the challenge for Wolfbron Bluffs and becoming the fourth Dieudonné to hold the crown, Lazare releases all the members and ends the longest standing pride's reign over the island. After seven years of the Bluffs being held by the same family, it now sits empty, waiting for the next chapter of it's leadership.

December 6, 2024 Death came to a witch hunter after she called for the death of Karsa, with Kvare answering it causing Miaran to fall. Lazare Dieudonné challenges Louve Dieudonné for Wolfbron Bluffs. Snow seems to be falling in the middle of the summer as strange animals show up and offer a tempting meal for those brave enough to jump in.

November 8, 2024 Scorpius has gone missing and in his place Zaahir steps up to take the throne of Andal Oasis. How this change of leadership will shake things up in the lands, only time will tell.

October 11, 2024 Something is happening in the Scorched Wilds. There is a battle raging between a familiar force and an unfamiliar one. What will you do? Help or hinder?

October 1, 2024 Spooky things are happening as the afterlife start walking among the living once again.

September 30, 2024 Louve Dieudonné manages to keep Wolfbron Bluffs in the family. What will happen between the Bluffs and the otherwise peaceful pride of Lorien Plains?

September 20, 2024 Ilarion Rurik challenges for Wolfbron, will the Dieudonné lead pride fall?

September 8, 2024War broke out once again in the Lagoon when a wedding had some uninvited guest arrive. The war results in the most death matches the island has seen at once. The Summit was challenged by Brighid with Talisa answering the call. After many years of the Summit have the same two leaders, the Summit changes hands. What will this mean for the balance of Amaryllis? A witch hunt has started by Luther and Miaran which seems to be turning things on an island that is full of magic.

August 25, 2024 War broke out in the challenge for the Lagoon after Cassius tries to take the Lagoon from Isla. The Cove remains with Miaran. The leadership of the Mire switches from Sigrún hold to Rike when Luther comes back to take his birthland back. Elephants push into the Rainforest and push out the lions there. Soon after Lucifer lays claim to his birthland and takes over the Rainforest.

June 27, 2024 Conflict and tensions rise as prides come head-to-head with one another across Amaryllis - just as Pyrrha and Cassius take the leap to try and claim (or reclaim) their own thrones.

May 24, 2024 Rulers continue to shift, family strife ensues, and, per usual, tensions seems taunt and always lingering on the horizon.

April 24, 2024 Things are rocky within Amaryllis as the Dieudonne clash result in three deaths and forces a shift in the rulership of Firnen Rainforest. With Caladan Cove freshly overturned as well, what will the consequenecss of these events be?

March 30, 2024 The lull has ended as a long standing family, the Dieudonné, launch death matches against their own. The Plains sees a challenge from a new comer, Aphrodite, and the quite pride is pushed into the spotlight.

March 19, 2024 A momentary lull has overtaken the lands of Amaryllis as its inhabitants attempt to find their footing and rebuild after a string of challenges. How long it will last, however, nobody can be quite sure.

February 11, 2024 The Mire has fallen from the Stärke family and is now held by Luther Rike. The change has stirred but the fighting nature of those on the island. The Brook finds a new leader with Icefang and Isla takes over the Lagoon after a storm pushes out the old leader. Reti finds himself the leader of the Hollows after Alexander is hurt. The Oasis finds a new leader in Léonie who is soon tested by Harou.

January 8, 2024 The snow has finally begun to melt anew, which means that the world is slowly returning to the much-anticipated summer season. With the various holiday activities and the other jests put on by Nafasi also coming to a close, it is safe to say that winter is finally over.

December 5th, 2023 Nafasi had pulled a cruel trick and has sent Amaryllis back into a renewed winter season! But it's not all bad, because the lands will also see a handful of holiday-themed events popping up as a result. To make things more interesting, a wayward trio of travlers have also arrived and are facilitating a mass competition between the prides, bands, and rogues -- formally dubbed the Amaryllis Winter Games.

December 2nd, 2023 The spring air brings forth a number of pride challenges. A familiar challenger for the Cove and the Oasis arrive to try to earn what they want. The new leader of the Lagoon is tested in battle as well. What changes will come from the challenges? Who will remain standing and who will find their world turned upside down?

November 27th, 2023 In a challenge between mother and daughter, the leadership of Wolfbron Bluff changes for the first time in 5 IC years.

November 22nd, 2023 Two death matches, one resurrection, and an almost-war later, the lands find themselves in a constant state of turmoil and calamity. Families have been torn apart and endless blood has been spilt; but how is it all going to end?

November 3rd, 2023 The lands stir violently as a death match rages on between Aeistrios Saxe and Morrigan Greyflood. Observers spill into the pit in droves to witness what will no doubt be a historic battle -- and it is clear that this familial fued is far from over, no matter who wins and who dies.

October 12th, 2023 With winter comes the surge of more pride challenges; Ludivine challenges Ryker for Firnen Rainforest and is victorious in her endeavors, meanwhile an outcropping of maims breaks out on the sidelines. In a shocking turn of events Luther returns to challenge Bruno for Ecrosia Mire, will the former heir prove victorious or has Bruno got what it takes to keep his brother's ambitions at bay? This has undoubtedly shaken things up as Bruno declares war against Andal Oasis and Allies in the process!

Though the air is still warm and the sun is bright, the summer is beginning to wane and, with it, the humidity has started to die down. It is a welcomed relief for the inhabitants of the jungle, as more moderate weather will mean that the rainforest will not feel quite as stifling, as well as those from the desert, who's early autumn will see calm winds and mild nights. For the rest of the peninsula, the change in seasons will be gradual, hinting towards the colder months that are soon to come.

OOC Rules
The Basics

We expect all of our members to adhere to all of our rules as outlined on this page (and tabs!) and our other rules pages:
IC Rules | Trigger Warnings.

These rules are here for everyone’s safety, inclusivity, and enjoyment. If you see a rule being broken, please bring the issue to the Staff Team — do not try to enforce any of these rules yourself.

Please understand that, while we have tried to cover everything, things get missed. If you see what could be a loophole, either OOC or IC, bring it to the attention of a Staff member. By working together in this way, the site can stay a safe and fun place for everyone.

  • If something comes up that is not outlined explicitly within the current site rules, the Sr. Staff team will look the issue over and decide how to proceed. Situations of this caliber will take into account the spirit of the site, fairness to the member base, and setting a good precedent when coming to a decision.

Age Limit

You must be 18 years old or older to join Amaryllis. Any player found to be younger will be removed from the site.

Site Rating — 3 - 2 - 3

This means that we allow graphic swearing, moderate sexual content, and graphic violence.

  • Language: 3 — Swearing and mature language are permitted. Trigger warnings may be required depending on the content.
    • What this means to us: Swearing and vulgar/mature language can be used freely on-site. If language includes subjects that fall within the Trigger Warning System, such as mentions of gore or other egregious acts, a trigger warning should be included.
  • Sexual Content: 2 — Sexual content is permitted, with some limitations.
    • What this means to us: You can write about sexual feelings, desires, and your character acting on these things. You can allude to various sexual acts or body parts, but cannot write in detail about them.
      • As per the Trigger Warning System, sexual assault of any kind is not permitted.
        • Players are expected to mark any other graphic or sensitive content with a trigger and/or content warning. Players should also mark particularly explicit characters using their signatures and profiles.
      • Any graphic mention of sex or sexual acts, whether in dialogue or narration, is not allowed - you must use “fade to black” prior to your characters engaging in sex.
    • We do not allow sexual content with characters under the age of 2 as they are considered "minors" in this setting. This includes: grooming, sexual desires, fade-to-black content, and breeding. This does not include nonsexual betrothals.
  • Violence: 3 — Graphic violence is permitted. Explicit description or in-game narration of violence is allowed but must adhere to the on-site Trigger Warning System.
    • What this means to us: Violence and gore are allowed to be written and played out on-site. However, detailed mentions of gore, violence, mutilation, or other egregious acts must always be prefaced with a trigger warning, as per the Trigger Warning System.
OOC Rules

The following rules apply when interacting with other members of the site and with members of the Staff team.

Respect

Amaryllis prides itself on being an all-inclusive community. That means we welcome everyone, no matter who you are! We ask that our members are respectful to one another at all times. Treat others how you would like to be treated, and remember to keep OOC and IC separate. If you disagree with someone, please be respectful, mature, and address the situation appropriately.

  • Both on-site and within Discord, we have listed pronouns so that our members know how to properly address each other. Respect and use these pronouns.
  • Any OOC conflicts that occur should be resolved in private messages and not brought into a public space.
  • While you may try to resolve conflicts privately, this should not result in berating, bullying, manipulating, ostracizing, etc. another member. Even in private conversations, all site rules should be followed.
  • We do not all come from the same background, and tolerance of different views is important for all members.
  • We ask that members not take things that happen on-site into the real world. This includes, but is not limited to, reaching out via another platform after being blocked on Discord, threatening, etc.

OOC to IC and IC to OOC

OOC-to-IC is taking any information that your character has not learned ICly and/or that you have learned OOCly, and using it in your posts without permission. This can include taking information from:

  • Things you have seen spoken or said in the Discord;
  • The unspoken narrative or internal monologue of a character’s post;
  • Using any information aside from the actual actions or speech of a character;
  • Using something that has happened IC or OOC as a way to pressure a member into doing something they don’t want to;
  • Pressuring others to not roleplay with someone based on IC or OOC actions;
  • Using a character to interfere with something that you personally disagree with and not having an IC reason;
  • Targeting a character based on who their player is;
  • Or anything else that you, as the writer, may have seen or heard OOC that your character would not know.

  • Excluding people from other plots because they challenged for a pride you enjoy.
  • Not considering players to adopt your cubs because one of your characters is at war with theirs.
  • Ignoring people in the server because their character betrayed yours.
  • Threatening to quit if something isn't done your way.
  • Taking out your frustrations over a plot or character action through passive-aggressive comments.
  • Guilting another into something.
  • Excluding people from plots or adopts because of who you think their friends are.
  • Questioning the behavior of someone's character because you disagree with it.

This is something that we do not tolerate, and consistently breaking this rule will result in further action being taken.

Similarly, we understand that IC events can sometimes be upsetting OOC. What we ask you to remember is that the events that occur ICly are not the direct opinion, thoughts, feelings, or motives of the character’s player. Every member is allowed to play their character realistically, as outlined by their personality.

  • It is okay to be upset by things that happen IC, but it is not okay to express your feelings in a disrespectful way, to cause gossip and drama, or to hurt others.
  • If you feel as though you are being treated unfairly, please bring it to Staff first.

Bob and John meet for the first time and start talking. John tells Bob his name, but Bob doesn't tell John his name back.
  • John cannot know Bob's name until he is (A) later told by Bob himself, or (B) is told Bob’s name by another character who knows him and has learned it.
  • Names, ranks, and other personal information about characters need to be learned ICly — otherwise, this information cannot be known.

Fred is talking to Susie. Fred’s internal monologue and the narrative of his post contain more details on his thoughts and feelings, irrespective if they are good or bad. Outwardly, he is acting or speaking a different way than what he is thinking.
  • Susie MUST behave based on Fred’s actions, and not based on what you, as the member, have read in the narrative.

If you do not like how a character is played, you can decide not to roleplay with that character, but do not hold it against the member. If you find that IC actions are affecting you OOCly, we ask that you take a step back and work to separate yourself from what is happening or ask for help from a Sr. Staff member.

Bullying

The community of Amaryllis does not accept or tolerate bullying of any kind. The Staff team takes accusations of bullying seriously and will not hesitate in taking action.

  • Harassing another player about things in-character is considered bullying. Constant pestering that makes other players uncomfortable will be met with a warning. Any unwanted pressuring of fellow players is not tolerated.
  • Bullying can be, but is not limited to: demeaning comments, passive aggression towards a player, having a group of people actively avoid or demean a player, etc.
  • Please keep in mind that bullying and harassment are in the eyes of the person and not everyone handles things the same way. Just because you do not feel like it was bullying does not mean the other person feels that way.

Roleplay Etiquette

  • It is expected that our members do not metaplay, godmod, or powerplay their characters or other members' characters.
    • Metaplaying/gaming: Characters can only have knowledge that they have obtained.
    • Powerplaying: This means to control another's actions. Attacks and the like should always be attempts.
    • Godmoding: Where the player character is overpowered, often being unable to be injured or things that are not truly possible. We don't allow this sort of imbalance.
  • Members are expected to respect the post order of threads. However, if you have waited for more than 3 OOC days for a reply in a group thread, then you can skip them.
    • Please keep in mind that some members have busy lives and may appreciate a polite reminder that they owe you a reply. The Discord channel has roles for tagging, so please make sure to check them.
  • We have thread prefixes that you can use to let members know the nature of the thread. These are listed and explained in the FAQ page of the guidebook. Please use these properly!
    • Notes in a signature do not override thread prefixes. Permission to invade private threads must be granted by all participants, unless the thread is in a pride area, as per pride rules.

Personal Advertising

Whilst we allow our members to advertise themselves on Amaryllis, we ask that all advertisements are placed into the #art-market channel in our Discord.

  • Ads are not to be placed in signatures, threads, or profiles. Asking a member for a commission in a public channel is considered as advertising.
  • If you have any doubt, take it off-site.
Account Rules

Character Slots and Account Names

Members start with 5 free character slots. You may purchase additional slots from the Petal Shop.

  • We ask that members keep in mind that names that may be considered a slur, harmful, derogatory, or culturally insensitive are not allowed. If you are unsure, please ask a Staff member. If you come across a name that you feel breaks this rule, please come to Sr. Staff directly so it can be reviewed.
  • If you would like to 'reserve' a name for future use, all you need to do is create an IC account with it.
    • Any accounts that have not been auditioned or that have 0 IC posts after 6 OOC months from creation will be deleted. There is no warning system with this.
  • If you would like to join with a name that is already taken, you can: add "II" to the end of the name, change the spelling, reach out to the player (if it's an inactive account) and see if they would let you use it. Sr.Staff can also free up the names of inactive accounts if they meet the following criteria:
    • Must be an inactive IC account — inactive OOC account names will not be recycled in case the member decides to return.
    • The inactive account must have been inactive for at least 6 OOC months and the member must no longer be active on site.
    • If the member is on-site, a request can be made directly to them.
    • The original account will not be deleted, but instead will have an "I" added to the end of the name. This is done to preserve the account information should the member ever return.

Avatar, Title, and Table Dimensions

  • Avatars are 200px wide x 300px tall.
    • They can be updated from your User CP.
  • OOC and IC Titles should not exceed 200px wide x 75px tall and cannot be more than 2 lines.
  • Table Dimensions should not exceed 500px in their width, to avoid stretching the board.
    • You can read about the Table Saver here.
  • Avatars, profiles, and tables should not include moving images.
  • Font size must not be smaller than 11px.

Profile Customization

IC profiles may be customized, but the standard content (Name, age, rank, physical attributes, trades, etc.) must remain viewable and readable.

  • Do not include any moving images.
  • Music players cannot be on auto-play.
  • Try to keep colors from being overly bright, and keep contrast over text and background colors in mind.
  • Do not size down the font.

Absences and Hiatuses

Sometimes life may get busy or you just need time away from the site for any reason. If you plan on taking a break, please post in the Absences & Hiatuses request thread in the Maintenance forum.

  • Absences can last anywhere from 3 OOC days to 3 OOC months.
  • Hiatuses can last anywhere from 3 to 6 OOC months.
  • Each have their own specific rules so be sure to read them closely.
Discord Rules

Discord is a great place to chat and make plans, so we invite you to Join Ours once you have taken a quick look here about our guidelines and expectations for the server.

Rules

  1. All site rules also apply on our Discord server.
  2. Respect that everyone has different views on things, and that it is OK to disagree. Even if you do disagree, always be respectful and kind.
  3. Please keep talk of IC actions on Discord limited to their respective channels, and never speak for another player or their characters.
  4. If a member or Staff member asks you to change the topic or move to a different channel, please do so. If you do not have a member role and are unable to move to the correct channel, please change the topic.
  5. Any art posted in Discord needs to follow the site rules, which can be found in the next tab.
  6. Harassment of any kind is not permitted.
  7. The majority of our channels have pinned messages: always read these to ensure that you understand the rules for the channel and Staff’s expectations, and remember to keep conversations relevant to the channel you’re in.

All mentions of Trigger Warning topics, including sexual assault, need to be hidden behind spoilers and prefaced by a TW in the server. If you would like to talk in further detail to someone else on the topic, please take it to your personal DMs.

  • This includes plot mentions, sharing information about your character’s backstory, linking to things on-site, and anything else that is affiliated with a TW topic.
  • To make a spoiler on discord you can add " || " on either side of your message, or highlight your text and click the little eye icon (desktop only).

Incidents of rule-breaking on Discord will be given 1 reminder, 1 warning, and then a week ban from Discord.

Channels

We want our Discord to be a safe and enjoyable place for everyone, which is why we give all members the option to toggle in and out of some of our server’s channels. To see most of our channels, you will need the Member Role, which is granted once you have an active IC account. Once you have that role, you will be given access to a number of things that are otherwise private, and can choose what you would like to see and have access to.

  • These options are accessible via the #basic-roles and #roles-for-members channels in the Important Information category at the top of the sidebar.
  • This system allows members to avoid channels that they do not want to see.
  • You will need to manually select these channels, as only a few are made mandatory in the server.
  • If all your IC accounts fall inactive, your member role will be removed until you have an active IC account once again, unless you are on an official absence.

Check the pinned messages in the channels for their rules.
Following the rules for each channel is important, and failing to do so may have you removed from the channel. If you are unsure about what a channel is for, feel free to ask.

Important Channels

  • General: This is a place to talk about random things that may not fit into the other channels. This is not a place to talk about trigger items, NSFW items, or anything else that may be considered sensitive, even when using the spoiler tag. Please also keep photos of animals and kids in the correct channels.

  • Help: We know that there is a lot of information and that you may have questions, so this is the channel to do that. We ask that current members give Staff a chance to answer questions before answering it themselves.

  • Away Notices: This is to let folks know if you are taking a break from Discord or will be away for a few days.
    • This is not official as it pertains to on-site activities and will not be checked for things such as fight timers and leadership activity checks.
    • Please make sure to post on-site if you will be gone for more than 3 days or if you are a pride leader.

  • NSFW (Not Safe For Work): We have two NSFW channels - #thot-jail focuses on sexual adult topics, and #big-kids-jail focuses on nonsexual adult topics.
    • Few topics are off-limits here, but some banned things are: bestiality, underage relations, and porn. This list may be added to as needed.
    • If your topic may be triggering, please use the spoiler and a trigger warning of some sort to let others know.

  • Rant: This channel is for ranting and venting. It is also for any talk of COVID-19, politics, or other touchy or potentially sensitive topics.

Report System

Sr Staff may not always be aware of something happening in Discord so the report system allows reports to be sent directly to the Sr Staff team without use of the Ticket System (below) for quickly notifying them of an issue. You can find more details in the #welcome channel.

  • It's used to report a message that breaks the rules or a member who is breaking a rule, being passive-aggressive, or acting in a manner that you feel the Sr. Staff team should look into.
  • Reporting a message: Please include either the link to the message or copy what the message said.
    • Please send this report from the channel the message is in.
    • If there are multiple messages of concern, please include them all in the same report.
  • Reporting a user: Please include as much detail as you can.
    • Since you are not opening a ticket about this, please let us know if you are open to having a ticket opened with you about this or not.
    • Marking "Yes" does not mean that Sr. Staff will, but it lets us know that we can if we need to.
  • This is NOT the primary method to have issues handled, that is the Ticket System.
  • The member you are reporting (and anyone else in the channel) will not be able to see that you sent a report. You will get a message that will only be seen by you.
  • Abuse of this system will result in the member being placed on a discord ban.

Ticket System

On Discord, we have a Ticketing Tool that allows members to reach out directly to the Sr. Staff team to ask questions or handle problems on-site or in Discord.

This tool is not to report bugs on the site, but rather is for handling questions, member-to-member issues, member-to-Staff issues, or other inquiries that need a direct answer without member input.

The team will make every effort to respond to tickets within 24 hours, or sooner. If your ticket is urgent, please tag Admins so that we are aware and can address it more quickly.

We have multiple types of tickets and you can learn more about them in the #ticket channel.

  • OOC Concerns
  • IC Concerns
  • Maim & DM Approvals
  • Heads Up
  • Questions

When making a ticket about an issue that is happening, please have all your information ready and give screenshots when possible. If you are having problems with another member who also happens to be a part of the Sr. Staff team, please have your initial message indicate this so that they can be removed from the ticket. This is done with no hard feelings.

Art Rules

The principles for art on Amaryllis are about having common courtesy and respect for others, owning one’s self-responsibility, and using your best judgment. When in doubt, ask for help!

Do your best to make sure that you are crediting artists properly, including respecting Creative Commons (CC) guidelines and those set by the artists themselves.

  • If using free-to-use lineart, please follow the rules that the artist has made for those lines.
  • Do not pull lines or images off of Google and think that they are free-to-use — always double check.
  • Do not alter the lines or remove copyright info without consent from the artist.

When offering art to members, please be honest about your art and offer the correct credits. Tables and other artwork need to have correct credits shown.

  • If you wish to sell art to other members, you will not have access to either the #art-market or #artist-market channels in Discord until you have an active IC account and the Member role.

Please use a proper hosting site for images.

If you are bringing over old or previously-made art, we ask that you try and find the appropriate credits. Any new art made on-site will need to follow all crediting requirements.

Staff will not be policing every piece of art on-site. We expect everyone to hold themselves accountable and use the best practices for art use and purchase.

  • That being said, if you are found to be breaking any rules, there will be consequences.
  • If you are concerned about something you see on-site, bring it to an Admin and they will assess the situation.

AI Art

AI Art is defined here as any image in which the AI-generation is clearly a part of the final product, i.e. Straight AI images, AI images that've been slightly modified/colored by an artist, AI images used as the background of an otherwise original piece.

The lack of regulation over most AI art generators means that the AI commonly pulls elements together from the artworks of artists who have not consented to have their intellectual property used in this way. The frequent use of copyrighted work poses a very serious legal gray area, and for the time being, we are not comfortable with encouraging the use of AI art on Amaryllis.

We ask that all members avoid creating AI-generated art for new profiles, manips, tables, etc.
Any previously-made work can continue to be used on-site.

Having said that, we are aware that some programs (like Adobe's new AI program in Photoshop) have more ethical standards about where they source their images from.

  • The Sr.Staff team is open to being flexible so long as you can verify and prove that the AI program you're using has explicit sourcing guidelines and works to protect the copyright of other artists.
  • As an artist, it is your responsibility to come to Sr. Staff and verify the guidelines of the AI program that you're using.
    • Failure to do so could result in your art being removed from Amaryllis, should it use AI that has not been vetted by the team.
  • Heavily altered images may be acceptable if the AI-generated elements have been entirely transformed into something original by the artist.
  • Artists are still free to use AI art as inspiration or reference.
  • No new AI art will be accepted on Amaryllis after this update (unless from an exempted source).
    • All AI art currently in use will be 'grandfathered' in. You may continue using it, and it will not be removed.

  • Here is a list of currently acceptable programs, which will be considered the exceptions to our AI Art Guidelines:

Strike System

Respect is an important part of Amaryllis’ community, and we expect all of our members to engage with others in a kind, compassionate, and open minded way.

We understand that, sometimes, the resolution is not possible without Staff help and intervention. Staff is always here to help you if you feel as though you are having issues with another member, and we acknowledge that repeated breaking of the site’s rules cannot be tolerated or ignored.

  • This is why we have created a 3-strike system to help handle situations like this.
  • This strike system is in place to keep Staff and members alike accountable for their behavior and to ensure that decisions made during times of conflict are clear and transparent for everyone.

If you have received a warning in the last 3 months or any strikes within the last 6 months, you can not apply for any level of Staff. If coming off a ban, you must be active without issue for 6 months before being able to apply for staff.

WARNING

When a member is mentioned to Staff for an offense, be it minor or something more severe.

  • Members that have been highlighted to Staff are recorded and kept on the ‘radar’ for 1 OOC month.
  • After 1 OOC month they will be removed from this list, but a record of their complaints will still be kept.
  • Examples: Posting under the word count, inappropriate names in Discord, ignoring a request for a topic change in Discord, breaking a site or Discord rule, etc.

STRIKE ONE

When a member receives a formal warning from the Staff team for repeated or more serious offenses.

  • First strikes will be on record for 1 to 3 months, depending on the offense. After that time has passed, it will be archived.
  • The strike, whether archived or not, will always remain on the player’s record.
  • Strike Ones may result in a short ban or a mute in Discord, which can be as long as 2 weeks depending on the offense.
  • Examples: Pushy behavior towards others, breaking OOC to IC or vise-versa, being disrespectful or aggressive towards Staff or other members, not using the Trigger Warning system properly, repeated rule breaking, insulting another member, misgendering after a reminder, verbal insults, passive-aggressive comments, etc.

STRIKE TWO

When a member receives a temporary ban from the site, from the Discord, or both, for very serious or repeated offenses.

  • The length of the temporary ban depends on the severity of the offense, and is subject to Staff discussion.
  • It could be anywhere from 2 weeks to 6 months, depending on the nature of the offense.
  • Example: art or content theft, sexual content with underage characters, not following the site’s rating rules, repeated instances of OOC to IC or vise-versa, hate speech of any kind, bad-mouthing staff or other members to others, doxxing, etc.

STRIKE THREE

Where a member receives a permanent ban from the site and Discord.

  • Permanent bans are not taken lightly but will be used in cases where it is viewed as the best decision for the community.
  • These are reserved for cases with long patterns of rule-breaking or very extreme offenses.
  • Examples: bullying and harassment, repeated instances of art or content theft, repeated instances of underage sexual content, patterns of disrespect and aggressive behavior with members or Staff, having multiple strikes for different reasons, having more than one OOC account, etc.

Staff reserves the right to skip over any of the lower-tiered strikes for extreme offenses.
These decisions will be communicated clearly and transparently to the rest of the community.

Things such as death threats, harassment, and other aggressive behavior will not be tolerated under any circumstances for the protection and well-being of the community.
