What is the time zone that Amaryllis runs on?

• Our base time zone is EST as this is where 90% of our membership base is located. You can figure that out here if you need too.

What are the activity requirements? How much do I need to post to be considered active?

• Leadership aside, once a month is all that we ask for. If you fall inactive, you just need to reapply to come back. If you were in a pride and reapply within one OOC month, you can request to be placed back into that pride when rejoining.
• If all your IC accounts fall inactive, your OOC account will be placed as Inactive. You will still be able to post in the OOC areas if you need to.

I made an account, but I haven't been able to get it going or have lost muse for it, what can I do?

• If you have applied with your account and it has under 25 posts and you have NOT claimed any petals or trade exp, you can have the account refunded for anything you spent on it.

The tagging system doesn't work on a character's name, how do I tag them?

• It's probably because it has spaces or special characters in it. There are 3 ways to get around this:
• The first two ways are easiest if the character's names only have characters from a standard keyboard -- you simply put either single or double quotes around the name. ex: @"Character Name", @'Character name'. Keep in mind that there are "curly" quotes in some programs (a lot of cellphone have these) and these will not work when trying to use the tagging system.
• The foolproof way to tag someone is to use their user ID (ex. @username#2 will tag Naya's OOC account without fail).

How can I see all the accounts of those who are on the site?

• We have two ways for you to see who is active on the site.You can search through the member list, which shows each active account, or our account list, which shows each account that is attached to an OOC account. Some accounts (banned, inactive) aren't visible by members.

How long does it take to get my audition approved? Why is it taking so long?

• Being approved may happen right away or it may take a few days. It depends on when the Staff is able to review the account. Having all the information correctly filled out will help speed up the process. If you are using shop items, make sure to have them added to the account properly.
• If your account has not been approved 5 days after posting, please reach out to a Staff member. If it has been less than 5 days, please give the Staff time. It is rare that it will take that long but sometimes things do get missed.

Why did another account get approved before mine when I posted first?

• This shouldn't happen often, but if it does, it may be that the Staff member accepting accounts had a question about yours and is waiting for an answer. If this happens, you are welcome to reach out to a staff member and ask.

Can someone who doesn't have an accepted IC account audition for an adoptable?

• Yes! Auditioning OOC accounts can post and make threads in the Adoptables board.

How do I rejoin with an inactive character?

• Just re-audition them! Remember to adjust their age if needed

Can I adjust my characters age?

• See the Guidebook page on refunding and resetting characters

How do I find your Discord?

• Discord is our primary way of chatting with each other and you can see our rules and how to join us here. If you don't have discord, that is ok. We announce everything on site that is important, so you won't miss-out on anything site based!

How do I request roles in Discord?

• We have two roles channels in the Discord. Our #basic-roles channel allows you to set your pronouns, timezone, and a few basic channels to pick from. Our #roles-for-members channel gives you access to more channels, and is only accessible once you have an active IC account.

What happens if the name that I want for my character is taken?

• This happens sometimes. If this happens, check to see if the name is active in the member list. If it is not, reach out to a Sr.Staff member and we will see what can be done. Sometimes, the account holder will let the name go and other times we may ask that you switch up your name spelling some.

How do I edit my profile?

• In your User CP, find "Edit Profile" and this will allow you to edit and update your profile.

I have been accepted but want to change something in my profile but can't?

• A number of key items are unable to be edited after you have been accepted, such as mutations, marking amounts, size, pelt color, etc. If you need something updated, like PVP or trades, please post in Maintenance in the correct area.

What's the difference between using the New Member Bonus (NMB) vs using the Random Design Generator (RDG) for my first character?

• Both the NMB and the RDG are tools that we have in place to allow our members to bring in more expensive characters for free.
• The NMB is tiered, and you can pick one option for your first on-site character. The RDG is completely random, can be used at any time,and can produce rare character designs, like the highest-tiered pelts and mutations, as well as breed-only items.
• If you are a first-time member making your first character, you can choose between either. But, if you choose to use the RDG on your first character, you will lose the NMB, making it unclaimable for your next character.
• Given this, it is recommended that you look at the NMB first, to see if it fits any character ideas you have.

What are native characters?

• Native characters are defined as those who were born here and have never left. They join with the knowledge of Maua and the site's lore. Those tagged as Native characters know who all the other Native characters are, unless there is a reason that they wouldn't.

How do I get a native character?

• Native characters were a special part of the BWP during the initial site open, and were free to make. As of March 3rd, 2021, new native characters can be bought for 200 petals in the Shop.

What do the icons in the Sex section mean?

• ♂ - Male
• ♀ - Female
• ⚥ - Intersex
• ⚧(M) - Trans male (biological female)
• ⚧(F) - Trans female (biological male)

Does the site have a word or paragraph count?

• We do have a minimum word count of 100 words. Threads that have 2+ posts that do not meet this minimum word count cannot be claimed for trade exp or petals.

What sort of items need a trigger warning?

• Anything that could fall under senstive in nature should have a trigger warning attached to it so that other members are aware and are given a heads-up about the content.

How many threads can I have going at once?

• As many as you feel you can keep up with.

How far back in time can I go in time with threads?

• Little tricky, as we do not like threads to be dated before major events (think fights, raids, etc.) if there is relation or mention to that event in any way. Make sure that anytning that is backdated does not impact the present.

What do all the thread tags mean?
- All Welcome.
- Private. Nothing overrides a private tag aside from a leader joining the thread in their pride lands.
- Mature. Contains mature topics.
- Mature Private. Contains mature topics. Nothing overrides a private tag.
- Trigger Warning. Contains topics that may be triggering for some.
- Trigger Warning Private. Private thread that contains topics that may be triggering for some. Nothing overrides a private tag.
- Joining. Often used when joining a pride.
- Leader. Often used when requesting a leader.
- Mandatory. Be there; often used for pride events or meetings.
- Optional. Show up if you can; often used for pride events or meetings.
- Hunts. Lets other knows that you are looking for a hunt.
- Event. Events could be for a pride or just small things.
- Raid. Planning one? Starting one? This is it.
- War. WWWAAAARRRR!!!!!!!
- Trade. Looking for a trade task.
- Experience. Looking for xp for trades.

Once a character is claimed into a pride, how long does the claim last?

• Once officially claimed into a pride, it is indefinite until the character is: released, escapes, traded, or the pride disbands.

Can creatures be claimed?

• Because creatures cannot participate in the site's fight system, they cannot be claimed.

Can my character know everyone and their names?

• Nope, we want characters to learn things in character so you'll need to roleplay out learning new things.

I would like to have cubs! How do I that?

• We love cubs! Check out the breeding guidebook page to learn more about what is needed and how to request a litter.

What's the method of finding characters that are hidden in threads?

• Some characters try to "spy" or "hide" in public threads, but this is not guaranteed. In other words, without specific trade perks, they always have a chance to be found. For all of the information on how to do this, check it out here, under the "Escaping, Interferences, & Hiding" tab.

Do I have to put my characters in the passage when arriving?

• Nope. It is the fastest way to get into a pride but you do not have to start there.

I want to join a pride, how do I pick one?

• Take a look at each one, look at their rules and their leaders. Who would your character mesh with best? Do you want to join a newer pride or a pride that is stable? Both have perks and downfalls. A newer pride would have open ranks to join. An older pride has hunt perks and stable, proven leadership. It is up to you!

What do I do if my character is claimed into a pride I don’t like?

• There are several ways you can handle this. You could contest the claim and fight for freedom. You could attempt to run away; this action can be rolled for. You could accept it for the time and either fight your way out later or find someone from another pride to fight for you. In some cases, pride leaders hold meetings and those who do not show are no longer part of the pride, so you could wait it out. Or you could accept it and try to find a way to bring the pride down from the inside.

What is the difference between a claim and an invite?

• A claim is when a ranked member decides/tells another that they belong to a pride. An invite is an offer to join a pride and the receiving lion has the ability to say yes or no.

If the pride my character is in gets challenged for and won, does my character still have to stay in it?

• Nope. Your character can flee the lands and stay away. It may take a little time for the title to be dropped, depending on how the new leader runs things but you do not have to stay.

I want to challenge for a pride, how do I do that?

• You should first make sure that you have looked over the guidebook page for the leadership. There are a number of items that you need to make sure you have covered before challenging or you risk being voided. You also need to make sure you have the amount of petals needed to challenge.

I want my character to challenge for or claim a pride. Do they have to meet the leadership posting requirements the whole time that they are challenging?

• Yes. From the moment that you post the challenge/claim, you need to continuously meet the leadership posting requirements.

Yay! I am a pride leader, now what?

• Congrats! Get out there and get some new members. Go to other prides and see if anyone wants to be allies. Start making plans.

As a leader, can I make rules that go against the site rules?

• The only thing we allow the pride rule to change is the way a pride moves if the main leader fails reqs. Otherwise, please follow the rules.

If your character is already injured and they get into another fight, what happens?

• Unless your fight resulted in a wounded roll, you can write your character's injuries as you'd like, within reason.

Do we request wounded rolls or do they happen automatically?

• If your fight qualifies for a wounded roll, Staff will post the wounded status with the official fight results, as well as all other important information.

How would I instigate a death match without consent of the other player?

• Unless the character is on Green PVP, you can't death match them without consent.
• Exception: If it appears as though the member/character is hiding behind a lower PVP status, this infringes upon the site rules. In this scenario, the character would have their PVP increased by Staff.
• Example: Lion A is Yellow PVP, and they death match Lion B and Lion C, who are Green PVP (meaning consent is not needed by Lion A), without any IC reason. BUT, Lion D cannot death match Lion A as revenge because Lion A is still on Yellow PVP. This is an example of hiding behind PVP statuses.

Can cubs (aged less than one year) be attacked? If so, can they fight back using the fight system?

• Cubs are not exempt from fights, but face huge penalties due to their age. Their PVP must still be respected and followed.

How many tasks can be claimed in a thread for a trade?

• In most threads, you can claim a total of 3 trade tasks (maximum) per thread.
• However, there are certain circumstances where you can claim an additional trade task (for a total of 4 trade tasks per thread):
• 1on1 character threads can claim one additional trade task (total of 4) if the thread is 15+ posts in length; and
• Threads with 3-4 characters can claim one additional trade task (total of 4) if the thread is 30+ posts in length.
• Threads with 5 or more characters do not qualify for additional trade tasks.

Can one task count for two trades? i.e. If I participate in a hunt using the rolled system, can I claim that hunt for my character's Master and Sub Master trades?

• No. Trade tasks have to go to one or the other, never both.

Can you repeat the same task in a single thread? i.e. If my character exercises to gain strength over two posts twice, totaling exercising to gain strength over four posts?

• You can repeat the same task in a single thread, but the tasks have to be distinct and separate from one another in order to be claimed separately.
• i.e. Running up a hill for four posts would not count as two tasks, but running up a hill and then pushing boulders around would.

When a character reaches an age listed for experience points, do they automatically gain those points? Or do they have to join as that age to get those exp points?

• You only get age-related trade experience when joining.

Can you double-up on trades? i.e. Can I have Barbarian be both my Master and Sub-Master trade?

• No, you can't.
