October 11, 2024 Something is happening in the Scorched Wilds. There is a battle raging between a familiar force and an unfamiliar one. What will you do? Help or hinder?

October 1, 2024 Spooky things are happening as the afterlife start walking among the living once again.

September 30, 2024 Louve Dieudonné manages to keep Wolfbron Bluffs in the family. What will happen between the Bluffs and the otherwise peaceful pride of Lorien Plains?

September 20, 2024 Ilarion Rurik challenges for Wolfbron, will the Dieudonné lead pride fall?

September 8, 2024War broke out once again in the Lagoon when a wedding had some uninvited guest arrive. The war results in the most death matches the island has seen at once. The Summit was challenged by Brighid with Talisa answering the call. After many years of the Summit have the same two leaders, the Summit changes hands. What will this mean for the balance of Amaryllis? A witch hunt has started by Luther and Miaran which seems to be turning things on an island that is full of magic.

August 25, 2024 War broke out in the challenge for the Lagoon after Cassius tries to take the Lagoon from Isla. The Cove remains with Miaran. The leadership of the Mire switches from Sigrún hold to Rike when Luther comes back to take his birthland back. Elephants push into the Rainforest and push out the lions there. Soon after Lucifer lays claim to his birthland and takes over the Rainforest.

June 27, 2024 Conflict and tensions rise as prides come head-to-head with one another across Amaryllis - just as Pyrrha and Cassius take the leap to try and claim (or reclaim) their own thrones.

May 24, 2024 Rulers continue to shift, family strife ensues, and, per usual, tensions seems taunt and always lingering on the horizon.

April 24, 2024 Things are rocky within Amaryllis as the Dieudonne clash result in three deaths and forces a shift in the rulership of Firnen Rainforest. With Caladan Cove freshly overturned as well, what will the consequenecss of these events be?

March 30, 2024 The lull has ended as a long standing family, the Dieudonné, launch death matches against their own. The Plains sees a challenge from a new comer, Aphrodite, and the quite pride is pushed into the spotlight.

March 19, 2024 A momentary lull has overtaken the lands of Amaryllis as its inhabitants attempt to find their footing and rebuild after a string of challenges. How long it will last, however, nobody can be quite sure.

February 11, 2024 The Mire has fallen from the Stärke family and is now held by Luther Rike. The change has stirred but the fighting nature of those on the island. The Brook finds a new leader with Icefang and Isla takes over the Lagoon after a storm pushes out the old leader. Reti finds himself the leader of the Hollows after Alexander is hurt. The Oasis finds a new leader in Léonie who is soon tested by Harou.

January 8, 2024 The snow has finally begun to melt anew, which means that the world is slowly returning to the much-anticipated summer season. With the various holiday activities and the other jests put on by Nafasi also coming to a close, it is safe to say that winter is finally over.

December 5th, 2023 Nafasi had pulled a cruel trick and has sent Amaryllis back into a renewed winter season! But it's not all bad, because the lands will also see a handful of holiday-themed events popping up as a result. To make things more interesting, a wayward trio of travlers have also arrived and are facilitating a mass competition between the prides, bands, and rogues -- formally dubbed the Amaryllis Winter Games.

December 2nd, 2023 The spring air brings forth a number of pride challenges. A familiar challenger for the Cove and the Oasis arrive to try to earn what they want. The new leader of the Lagoon is tested in battle as well. What changes will come from the challenges? Who will remain standing and who will find their world turned upside down?

November 27th, 2023 In a challenge between mother and daughter, the leadership of Wolfbron Bluff changes for the first time in 5 IC years.

November 22nd, 2023 Two death matches, one resurrection, and an almost-war later, the lands find themselves in a constant state of turmoil and calamity. Families have been torn apart and endless blood has been spilt; but how is it all going to end?

November 3rd, 2023 The lands stir violently as a death match rages on between Aeistrios Saxe and Morrigan Greyflood. Observers spill into the pit in droves to witness what will no doubt be a historic battle -- and it is clear that this familial fued is far from over, no matter who wins and who dies.

October 12th, 2023 With winter comes the surge of more pride challenges; Ludivine challenges Ryker for Firnen Rainforest and is victorious in her endeavors, meanwhile an outcropping of maims breaks out on the sidelines. In a shocking turn of events Luther returns to challenge Bruno for Ecrosia Mire, will the former heir prove victorious or has Bruno got what it takes to keep his brother's ambitions at bay? This has undoubtedly shaken things up as Bruno declares war against Andal Oasis and Allies in the process!

Litter Systems
How It Works

Amaryllis offers two different ways to have litters on-site: dice-roll litters and custom litters. It is up to both players of the parents to decide which method they would like to use.

  • Players may request a dice-roll first to see the results. They can then decide whether to go with the dice-roll or opt for a custom litter, if they prefer.
  • Regardless of which litter system is chosen, litters derived from incest will only have one cub of a small build. If you are unsure, please contact a Staff member.
  • A lioness' fertility decreases once reaching the age of 10, decreasing their odds of a larger litter.

All cub requests should be posted here for processing.

Dice-Rolled Litters

Dice-rolled litters leave everything up to chance and the results are free to create and bring on site. After posting your Cub Request, dice are rolled by Sr. Staff to determine all aspects of the cubs, including the following:

  • How many cubs there will be (0-4).
    • The number of cubs is based on the rank of the mother and how many threads the parents have together.
    • For split-father litters, who the father of each individual cub is will also be determiend.
  • The sex, fur color, eye color, size, markings, global markings, mutations, and possible random mutations or diseases, based on the information provided in the cub request.

The results are then posted, as well as a due date for the mother. Following the results, you have a few options in terms of making re-rolling or adding cubs to the litter, all of which are purchaseable in the Petal Shop.

  • You can re-roll a single cub for 150 petals, or re-roll the entire litter for 300 petals.
    • There is no limit on how many re-rolls you can do.
    • Full litter re-rolls means re-rolling the details of the entire litter, including the number of cubs; single cub re-rolls means re-rolling the details of one specific cub.
  • You can add "+1 cub" to a dice-rolled litter for 200 petals.
    • Only one "+1 cub" can be used per litter, and it can’t be used if the maximum number of cubs (4) had already been reached.
  • Re-rolls and +1s must be posted within 72 hours of the cub roll results.
  • If the original roll results in a 0, only one (1) re-roll is allowed before a new breeding attempt is needed.
    • This only applies if the first litter roll results in 0. If you receive a successful litter first, then receive 0 on a full litter re-roll, you can do additional re-rolls as normal.

Some parts of the cub rolls can’t be changed, while others can be for a small fee in the Petal Shop.

  • Sex-swapping a cub costs 50 petals.
  • Extra genetic markings cost 50 petals (per additional genetic marking above what was rolled).
  • Extra genetic global markings cost 150 petals (per additional global above what was rolled).
  • Extra genetic mutations cost 150 petals (per additional mutation above what was rolled).

Cubs rolled with genetic markings (inherited from either parent) can have the marking vary somewhat.

  • The color of the marking can be different and the marking can move around the body, but the number of markings must stay the same (i.e. if the parent has one sock, the cub can’t have two socks).
  • The size is only allowed to scale down, and the style must stay the same. Staff has the final say if changes to a genetic marking are too much.

Rolled bonus markings can be anything, genetic or non-genetic, except for global markings. Additional bonus markings cannot be purchased.

Random mutations and diseases are optional and must be requested at the time of the roll. The cub's player decides whether or not to use them.

Split-Father Litters: For split-father litters, genetics for each cub are determined based on who is rolled to be the biological father. So if Larry and Joe have a split-litter with Susan, a cub who is Joe’s offspring can only have genetic markings from Joe and Susan’s gene pools, not Larry’s.

Breeding Perks: Trade and pride perks are optional, meaning that you are able to pick which perks are used during a litter roll. Only list out the trade and pride perks that you want used in the cub request — typically, using breeding perks gives you a higher chance of rolling traits that go outside of the genetics of the parents.

Breed-Only Traits: Breeding can sometimes result in rare characteristics, such as colossal or extra small sized cubs and breed-only pelt colors. These are always up to chance (a dice roll) and are not guaranteed, even if requirements are met.

  • Colossal Size: Chance to receive when the breeding pair are both large in size.
  • Extra Small Size: Chance to receive when the breeding pair are both small in size.
  • Breed-Only Pelts: Chance to receive when either parent has reached Level 4 in their Master trade.
Random Mutation Roll: If selected by the parents, the cubs will receive a random mutation roll. Some mutations are harmless and some are lethal. All random mutations are optional and up to the player of the cub.
Non-Lethal Mutations List: Can be any of the mutations listed on our Character Details page.
Lethal Mutations List: Cubs with lethal mutations will need a trigger warning and the details are decided by the player. Cubs can survive for up to a maximum of 8 months.

Random Disease Roll: If selected by the parents, the cubs will receive a random mutation roll. Some diseases are temporary and can be cured once the cub is born, and are lethal and unable to be cured. All random diseases are optional and up to the player of the cub.

Non-Lethal Diseases List: Upper-respiratory infections, ear mites, roundworm, pneumonia
Lethal Diseases List: Players can decide the circumstances and details of the lethal disease on their own, but these diseases can not be cured. Cubs can survive for up to a maximum of 8 months.

Finding Adopters: After the birth thread has been posted, parents have 6 OOC weeks to find players for them and have the cubs auditioned. If they fail to find players by this time, unauditioned cubs will be considered dead. You do not have to adopt out all the cubs from a roll, and you can learn more about getting your cubs adopted here!

Custom Litters

In a custom litter, players are completely in control of their cubs' appearances. The pelt colors, global markings, and mutations of the cubs must be paid in full prior to them being born, but free reign is given over the designs.

  • Custom litters have a default of 2 cubs (before any pride/trade perks), and are usually planned ahead of time OOC.
Your first step in requesting a custom litter is to submit the applicable form in Cub Requests, similar to how it works for dice-rolled litters. This form will give you the ability to roll any trade/pride perks, and for a Staff member to give your character a formal due date. After receiving the results of your trade/pride perks and your due date, you have the option to make some modifications, which must be purchased in the Petal Shop.
  • You can re-roll your trade/pride perks if they were unsuccessful. This costs 300 petals and can be done as many times as you'd like.
  • You can add a "+1 cub" to a custom litter for 300 petals. Only one "+1 cub" can be used per litter, and it can’t be used if the maximum number of cubs (4) had already been reached.
  • While the default size of custom liters is 2 cubs, a maxed out litter is possible with a mixture of trade/pride perks and/or using a "+1".
  • If the parents have any breed-only items, you can purchase them for a cub for a flat fee of 200 petals per breed-only item. This can be purchased anytime before the cub is auditioned.
  • Gifts and RDGs can be used for custom litters, including those with breed-only items.

Genetic Discounts: Custom litter cubs receive a genetic discount of 25% on premium pelts and mutations if one or both of the parents have it.

  • These discounts must be purchased in the Shop before the cub is auditioned.
  • They are organized by the pelt and mutation tiers, so double check before purchasing!
    • i.e. The shop item "Custom Litter Cub - Genetic Tier 4 Pelt" covers mauve, chartreux, and merle pelts.
When auditioning your custom litter cubs, you will be asked to link to their post in Cub Requests for verification. At the time of auditioning and approval, Staff will confirm that all the necessary items and purchases have been made for the final design of your cub.
Maua's Wisp Cubs

Wisp cubs are an option to allow same-sex couples or those who are unable to have cubs for other reasons to have a biological litter together. It also allows a single lion or lioness to have a single cub on their own. Parents of a wisp litter still have the option of having a dice-roll or custom litter.

To Request Wisp Cubs:

  • The parents needs to be in love and/or have a strong desire to have cubs together.
  • This love and desire needs to be mentioned IC, verbally or non-verbally. This thread is considered their breeding thread.
  • Once this has been done, you can conduct a breeding roll, found here, to determine whether they have been successful and granted wisp cubs.

To Request A Single Parent Wisp Cub:

  • It is possible for your character to be granted a single (1) wisp cub from Maua without being in a relationship.
  • The parent must meet all other breeding requirements and post count, and must purchase the Single Parent Wisp Pass in the Shop.
    • This pass costs 1000 petals and all petals must have been earned on the account of the to-be parent.
  • The parent needs to have a desire to have children that is mentioned IC, verbally or nonverbally. This thread is considered their breeding thread.
  • Once this has been done, you can conduct a breeding roll, found here, to determine whether they have been successful and granted a wisp cub.

The way that Maua appears and grants cubs can be tailored to the beliefs or preferences of your specific characters. After a successful breeding roll has been achieved for a wisp litter, the players have free reign on how the rest of the thread plays out.

After their successful breeding roll, members have the chance to play out and detail what way would make the most sense for their characters to receive Maua's blessing. This could look like:

  • Maua appearing in the thread directly and speaking with the couple;
  • Maua taking the form of another deity or religious figure;
  • Maua blessing the parents in secret and making one of them pregnant (if two lionesses);
  • Maua blessing the parents and bestowing cubs upon them after they have been "born"; or
  • Any other ideas that you may have.

Exits are required before a litter request can be submitted in Cub Requests.

  • For same-sex couples and split wisp litters, one party needs to be marked as the "mother". The purpose of this is to ensure that we can roll the litter correctly.
    • The character marked as the “mother” of the wisp litter will incur a breeding cooldown of 6 IC months. This is in-line with the biological breeding guidelines.
  • Wisp cubs have the option of having a "wisp" marking on them that does not count toward as a genetic or bonus marking.
    • A wisp marking is a small, flowy-looking white mark that can be placed anywhere on the body. The adopter is able to decide the final look, color, etc.
  • For single parent wisp cubs, genetics will only be pulled from the one parent character.
  • If castrated on-site, your character will not be granted wisp cubs by Maua.
Trade Perks for Breeding

Levelling up your character's trade allows them to receive perks and bonuses when having cubs. There are two ways to achieve perks from trades: global and trade-specific.

Global perks are given to every character who reaches a certain trade level. Currently, global perks are the following:

  • Level 1: Chance of only medium or large size cubs.
  • Level 2: Chance of random pelt color.
  • Level 3: Extra chance of bonus markings.
  • Level 4: Chance of a breed-only pelt color.
  • Level 5: Raise potential of cubs in own litter (maximum of 4 per litter).

Trade-specific perks are unique to each individual trade, and vary between each. The following trades have breeding-related perks as part of their Master and Sub-Master trade perk pools:

  • Beatnik: Produce a 5-cub litter once per IC year
  • Medic: Automatically adds +1 cub to their litters due to good health (maximum of 4 cubs)
  • Nursemaid:
    • Always ensure successful litters for you and your pride-mates (breeding attempts will never fail; both parents must be in the nursemaid’s pride)
    • 50% chance of a 5-cub litter when both parents are in the same pride as the nursemaid (includes self)
    • Pride-mates receive a fertility boost (if both parents are in the nursemaid’s pride, their annual cub maximum is upped to 12)
    • Reduce the breeding cooldown of another character (or self) by 2 OOC months, once per 3 OOC months
  • Outlaw: Greater odds at a large litter when rogue or in a band

Pride Level Perks for Breeding

Levelling up your pride's hunt level, as per the hunting system, can also award boosts towards breeding and reproduction.

  • Pride Tier 2: Potential for an extra cub in litter (1/5 chance).
  • Pride Tier 3: If both parents are in the pride, there is a 50/50 chance of a maxed-out litter (4) regardless of their ranks.
