August 25, 2024 War broke out in the challenge for the Lagoon after Cassius tries to take the Lagoon from Isla. The Cove remains with Miaran. The leadership of the Mire switches from Sigrún hold to Rike when Luther comes back to take his birthland back. Elephants push into the Rainforest and push out the lions there. Soon after Lucifer lays claim to his birthland and takes over the Rainforest.

March 19, 2024 A momentary lull has overtaken the lands of Amaryllis as its inhabitants attempt to find their footing and rebuild after a string of challenges. How long it will last, however, nobody can be quite sure.

February 11, 2024 The Mire has fallen from the Stärke family and is now held by Luther Rike. The change has stirred but the fighting nature of those on the island. The Brook finds a new leader with Icefang and Isla takes over the Lagoon after a storm pushes out the old leader. Reti finds himself the leader of the Hollows after Alexander is hurt. The Oasis finds a new leader in Léonie who is soon tested by Harou.

January 8, 2024 The snow has finally begun to melt anew, which means that the world is slowly returning to the much-anticipated summer season. With the various holiday activities and the other jests put on by Nafasi also coming to a close, it is safe to say that winter is finally over.

December 5th, 2023 Nafasi had pulled a cruel trick and has sent Amaryllis back into a renewed winter season! But it's not all bad, because the lands will also see a handful of holiday-themed events popping up as a result. To make things more interesting, a wayward trio of travlers have also arrived and are facilitating a mass competition between the prides, bands, and rogues -- formally dubbed the Amaryllis Winter Games.

December 2nd, 2023 The spring air brings forth a number of pride challenges. A familiar challenger for the Cove and the Oasis arrive to try to earn what they want. The new leader of the Lagoon is tested in battle as well. What changes will come from the challenges? Who will remain standing and who will find their world turned upside down?

November 27th, 2023 In a challenge between mother and daughter, the leadership of Wolfbron Bluff changes for the first time in 5 IC years.

November 22nd, 2023 Two death matches, one resurrection, and an almost-war later, the lands find themselves in a constant state of turmoil and calamity. Families have been torn apart and endless blood has been spilt; but how is it all going to end?

November 3rd, 2023 The lands stir violently as a death match rages on between Aeistrios Saxe and Morrigan Greyflood. Observers spill into the pit in droves to witness what will no doubt be a historic battle -- and it is clear that this familial fued is far from over, no matter who wins and who dies.

October 12th, 2023 With winter comes the surge of more pride challenges; Ludivine challenges Ryker for Firnen Rainforest and is victorious in her endeavors, meanwhile an outcropping of maims breaks out on the sidelines. In a shocking turn of events Luther returns to challenge Bruno for Ecrosia Mire, will the former heir prove victorious or has Bruno got what it takes to keep his brother's ambitions at bay? This has undoubtedly shaken things up as Bruno declares war against Andal Oasis and Allies in the process!

The days are warm, though comfortable, and peeter off into more mild evenings while the humidity remains low. It is the perfect inbetween until things transition towards more sweltering temperatures, so best enjoy it while it is here.

All site-based items on Amaryllis are copywritten to the owners. Characters are copywritten and owned by their creators. Amaryllis is currently owned by Ice and Irish. Themes coded by Dusk. Full credits here.

Trade System
The Basics
Trades are a fun way to develop your character, get them involved in plots, and for them to pursue hobbies and occupations that suit them best. Trades also come with IC perks that benefit your character and their abilities.

We use a Master and Sub-Master trade system, which means that your character can commit to two trades and have more perks. You can work on levelling-up your character's Master and Sub-Master trades at the same time, but cannot select the same trade as your Master and Sub/Master trade.

  • Master Trade: A master trade is a character's main class, where they will be able to reach level 5 and reap every benefit, including the listed Master perks.
  • Sub-Master Trade: A sub-master is a secondary trade. Characters can only reach level 3 in this trade, but any bonuses still stack.

Levels: There are 5 levels to our trade system, and can be leveled up by completing task threads and collecting experience. Learn more about earning trade experience here.

    Level 0: 0 - 25 exp
    Level 1: 25 - 100 exp
    Level 2: 100 - 250 exp
    Level 3: 250 - 400 exp
    Level 4: 400 - 600 exp
    Level 5: 600+ exp

Changing Trades: You can change your character’s trades whenever you'd like to. However, this will reset your trade experience points to 0. You can request the change in Trade Updates.

  • If you are swapping your Master to Sub-Master or Sub-Master to Master, you will keep your experience points for that trade.


Trade Perks
There are two different types of perks on Amaryllis, which are unique to each different trade -- static perks and master/sub-master perks.
  • Static perks are the perks that you earn automatically for reaching levels 1-5. These all stack and are set by default in terms of their abilities.
  • Master/Sub-Master perks are the perks that you earn upon mastery of your trade(s) and are available in pools. Once mastering your trades, you are able to select which perks you would like from the available options; you can select two perks for your character's master trade and one perk for their sub-master trade.
    • Only once reaching level 5 in their Master trade and level 3 in their sub-master will the character gain access to sub-master perks.
    • After your initial selection, are able to change your selected Master/Sub-Master perks for 200 petals via the Shop. After the pass is purchase, post in Trade Updates to have it modified. Your new perk(s) are only valid after processing.
    • You may only change perks when you are off any cooldowns from your current perks.

When engaging in fights (excluding DMs), there are limits to the extra dice you can claim from different perks. Overall, per fight, you can claim a maximum of:

  • All of your own dice perks (perks resulting from your own trade levels or from your rank within a pride);
  • +1 dice from the occupational perk of another character/pride-member (i.e. Lead Scout +1 luck perk); and
  • +1 dice from someone else’s trade perk (i.e. +1 luck from a Master Pathfinder)

    In other words, you cannot stack multiple trade or occupational perks from others into your own dice for fights. For example, if there are 3 Master Pathfinders in a given thread, you can only claim +1 luck, not +3 luck.


Global Trade Perks
Global perks are perks that everyone gets as they level up their Master trade, regardless of which trade has been chosen, and are breeding-focused.
  • Level 1: Chance of only medium or large size cubs.
  • Level 2: Chance of random pelt color.
  • Level 3: Extra chance of bonus markings.
  • Level 4: Chance of a breed-only pelt color.
  • Level 5: Raise potential of cubs in own litter roll (maximum of 4 per litter).

BARBARIAN


» A character who focuses on offensive attacks.

Level 1: +1 to hit rolls
Level 2: Able to take on another opponent after losing a fight (once per thread)
Level 3: Can claim, steal, and defend pride members regardless of rank
Level 4: Become a master of offensive attacks (+1 to hit rolls)
Level 5: Can re-roll one round of dice per fight (must use the re-roll results, done in Fight Re-Rolls before judging)

MASTER PERKS (pick two)
• Ability to take the throne for yourself if your pride is at risk of disbanding (must meet leadership requirements at the time of disbanding)
• Invoke a warrior’s fury to maintain strength following a victory (take on another opponent with no fatigue dice after your first fight, once per thread)
• 50% chance of going berserk (+1 hit rolls for the next round, once per thread)
• 50% chance of buffering an attack (+1 dodge rolls for the next round, once per thread)
• Training and conditioning has reduced their wounded roll recovery time by 1 OOC week

SUB-MASTER PERKS (pick one)
• Ability to take the throne for yourself if your pride is at risk of disbanding (must meet leadership requirements at the time of disbanding)
• 50% chance of going berserk (+1 hit rolls for the next round, once per thread)

How does the ability to act as Heir and taking over a pride work?
  • When a pride disbandment occurs and there is no secondary leader that is able to take over the pride, Sr. Staff starts making their way down the ranks (highest ranks to lowest) for those that are eligible to inherit the pride.
  • For a barbarian who is eligible and willing to take over the pride, they will be moved to High Sovereign and will have 72 hours to meet leadership requirements and update the pride page.

How does "invoking a warrior’s fury" work?

  • After winning a fight (or using your level 2 perk), it grants you the ability to engage in another fight without fatigue dice. You may only skip the fatigue dice for your second fight and only once per thread.

PALADIN


» A character that defends those in need.

• Being in tune with your surroundings gives an advantage in stalking (+1 dice when searching for a hidden character)
• Birds of prey are on your side and bring you insight (can claim knowledge from 1 thread every OOC months; must claim within 48 hours of thread’s first exit)
• Working in a group is second nature (+1 luck to allies when fighting together in a multi-lion fight)
• Leading a hunt provides double trade experience for all involved, once per 3 OOC months (must state perk use at beginning of thread)

FAQS: RANGER PERKS


Can the Level 5 perk be used preemptively at the start of a fight, or can it only be applied after the opposing character has attempted an escape?
  • You can use it either way, if you are sure or think that there will be an escape attempt from another character. Once used, however, you can't take it back.

Can the Level 5 perk be used to automatically prevent a character's attempt to escape a pride?

  • Yes.

Do the double trade experience hunts still require 10+ posts with exits in order to claim tasks?

  • Yes.

ASSASSIN


» A character that works with poisons or in the dark to kill.

Level 1: +1 to hit rolls

How does initiating a prisoner fight outside of a war or raid work?
  • It follows the rules of a typical imprisonment fight, and allows them to be initiated beyond the scenario of an ongoing war or raid.
  • Imprisoned characters are subject to a 2 OOC week cooldown following the challenge where they cannot escape from the pride or have their freedom challenged for.

AMBASSADOR


» A character that uses their charisma to navigate tricky social situations.

Level 1: +1 to luck rolls
Level 2: Can oversee rank challenges and approve promotions on behalf of leadership (up to and including occupational ranks, excludes prisoners)
Level 3: Can recruit regardless of rank in Maua’s Passage
Level 4: Become a master of charm (+1 to dodge rolls)
Level 5: Can defend members of their pride and allied pride against theft regardless of rank

MASTER PERKS (pick two)
• Can hold elections to save their pride or an allied pride from disbanding (thread must begin within 48 hours of disband notification)
• Extends the cooldown of their pride after a challenge by 1 OOC month (must remain a member of that pride during the cooldown)

Are pride leaders able to overrule level 2 perk?
  • Yes - pride leaders always have the final say.

Can rogue level 3 ambassadors recruit in the passage to start a band?

  • No, this perk is only viable for characters who are in a pride or band already.

Can rogue ambassadors use the level 5 perk?

  • No, the level 5 ambassador perk is not useable for rogues.

How does holding an election to save a pride from disbanding work?

  • When a pride disbandment occurs and there is no secondary leader that is able to take over the pride, Sr. Staff starts making their way down the ranks (highest ranks to lowest) for those that are eligible to inherit the pride.
  • For a paladin who is eligible and willing to try and save the pride, they will have 48 hours to start a thread in their pridelands calling for members to attend and vote on who will be the new High Sovereign.
  • ICly, this can play out in whatever way feels the most natural -- whether that be a fight, a vote, etc.
  • The thread must be finished within 2 OOC weeks of being started (the new High Sovereign has been decided and they have exited). If it is not finished within this time, the pride will disband.
  • The new High Sovereign must meet all leadership requirements prior to taking the rank.

How does extending the cooldown for a pride after a challenge work?

  • One additional OOC month is added to the winning character's post-challenge cooldown.
  • For pride leaders who maintain their pride after a challenge, the ambassador must have been an official pride member at the start of the challenge and must remain a member throughout the entierty of the cooldown for it to remain valid.
  • For challengers who overthrow the old pride leader, the ambassador must join the pride within 2 OOC weeks of the fight results being posted to extend the cooldown. They must remain a member throughout the entierty of the cooldown for it to remain valid.
  • If the ambassador leaves or goes inactive before the end of the cooldown, the extra cooldown is lost.

OUTLAW


» A character that lives outside pride culture and laws.

Level 1: +1 to hit rolls
Level 2: Immune to claiming and can claim or challenge without rank
Level 3: Can create an outlaw band
Level 4: Become a master of itinerancy (+1 to hit rolls)
Level 5: Increase the maximum amount of lions in their band by an additional 10

MASTER PERKS (pick two)
• Greater odds at a large litter when rogue or in a band
