When @Rose appears at his side, he leans into her momentarily. A comfort knowing she was there, a worry for what she might see. Among his people, she would have been one of the wives, teachers, storytellers. Protected by him and others of masculine nature. The creator of a house.

He opens his mouth to speak as the fight gets underway, when Skjol is interrupted. The words are muddled with an accent, but he does not take the time to process them. Consider the man in high alert after the events that have transpired. He turns to this stranger--a woman?--by scent as it drags across his nose. Skjol nearly pushes Rose back, and lunges at the dark hued furry lioness.

He swings with his right, dragging up his left to try and grab a hold of the neck. His mouth opens painfully wide as his teeth seek to clamp shut up on the bridge of her nose--pulling up then sharply to the right, in an attempt to tear the flesh of her obsidian hide.

She would get better – she would get stronger. Though the events at that lagoon were still fresh on her mind, perhaps Clove was emboldened by her first win. She gravitated naturally toward the sound of a challenging summons, her heart racing until her toes tingled as she walked dutifully toward that border. Nevermind the annoying grit between her toes or the reeking stench of fish in the air – this was what fighters did. She would learn.

Clove settled in toward the edge of that lingering crowd, focus immediately gravitating toward two sets of grappling cats. Each was a duo of man and woman, two fighting at the center of it all and another pair scuffling on the sidelines. Clove wrinkled her nose as sand kicked up in the breeze, inching back slightly as she watched to see who would prove the victor and how.

Sabek hears the call towards the Cove, a place he's only ever heard of and never seen. Now wandering farther from his rainforest home as of late, he can't deny a panic that rises in his chest. Did @Pyrrha ♔ challenge for her home again? And if so, why didn't she tell him?

Had he not promised he'd be there in support?

The dusk colored leopard pushes these intrusive thoughts away, skillfully finding the place where lions had gathered. there were so many already!

But as his silver gaze manages to peak through the crowd (he's staying a distance just in case) he notices that neither hide of the fighters matches that of his friend. Sabek relaxes a bit, his haunches touching the sand under his small hiding spot in the foliage.

It would seem, he's incredibly late for any true bloodshed, and what had transpired was essentially over. Were all fights this short? Pyrrha had made them sound far more intense.

As his gaze begins to scan the people gathered, he spots her. Knowing she was a friend, and hoping she'd be somewhat of a sheild to him if anything were to happen, the lone hunter darts over to her, quickly.

"I ran all the way here, and it's already over." he said somewhat out of breath "I was worried you were going to get hurt again" he then noticed @Aphrodite , curiously, peeking his head out from the frame of his friend. "Oh, sorry, was this a conversation? Did I interrupt?" being alone so long made group gatherings almost foreign.

There was a lot of...noise happening. Some cry he hadn't fully understood and then strange scents on the wind. Cinder generally spent most of his time exploring the territory or enjoying the stretch where sand met sea. It seemed half-drowning had not left much of a lingering effect on him after the first few days, and the sea was no more terrifying than, like...any other natural hazard. Anyway, he figured if he could learn to swim then it wouldn't be very dangerous at all.

On the cusp of his first year, he'd gained quite a bit of height, but was still a collection of lanky limbs and too-large paws. And...comparing himself to others around him...too-large teeth.

By the time he arrived, it seemed the main fight was already drawing to an end. A quick scan showed him a scattering of unfamiliar faces and - oh! It was the guy who'd invited him to the cove in the first place! And...he was fighting too, okay. Cinder hadn't seen him around in a while, but didn't quite realize that meant he'd left entirely.

The boy would plant his butt in the sand to watch whatever was left of the fight involving the queen, but with a look of vague confusion on his face.

Khadija was on the edge of her chair, of course she was on Miaran's side, here to support her. Even if everyone hated her queen, she will stay loyal to her. Those who brought hate towards her were hipocrites. All lions had their sins, their dark side. And if they had to hate on others ignoring their own flaws then they were worse than scum. Two of her daughters came to join her, she gave each a lick on the head until she saw Lyla carrying something she should not. Quickly she takes the leaves away from her mouth with her front paw. "Those are no no plants! They hurt." She said not as much as a scolding but more of advice. @Lyla

Interesting. He's back in Amaryllis for all of one evening when a fight breaks out, dredging up memories of his once upon a time in the limelight. It's been quite a while since he's been in combat himself and the life of retirement suited him; but of course, for the right price he will happily get his hands dirty. Crixus strolls casually to the battlefield and appraises each combatant with a pale gaze, impressed by the child as much as he is by the woman. It's a close match and could go either way, so the man settles onto his haunches to watch.

it seems all she needed to do was ask, for this man is eager to oblige her in a little tussle alongside her dear friends from the cove. how kind of him, indeed! skjol lunges for her but manon, too, is moving forwards to try and close the distance between them. after all, a fight was so much better when one was close enough to smell and taste their opponent's blood.

skjol's teeth sink deep into her cheek as a result, shredding through the flesh there and opening up a nice wound. her chin tucks immediately as she propels herself forward and up, as if to follow the movement of the man's head, aiming to slam the flat portion of her head against the bottom of skjol's mandible. the bluffs princess hardly notices the woman that he shoves out of the way before engaging, nor does she pay mind to any others who might approach them.

It didn’t take long before Lyla spied her sister also clinging close to their mother. The vague idea that maybe she would be more fun than the grown ups had just come to her when suddenly her mother was swatting her toy straight out of her jaws. She let out a noise that sounded something between a squeal and a hiss at the sudden turn of events, her eyes darting at her mother as she told her they were bad plants that hurt. But mama! she protested, ears flattening against her skull and a paw lifting to point towards the duo who were quickly completing what had to be the quickest fight the cove had ever seen. Mama Miaran was playing with it! Lyla like Miaran! she whined, lowering herself into the sand clearly pouting. I want to play too! she huffed. Life wasn't fair.

There was comfort, if just for a moment, as Skjol leaned back into her. Her eyes were not on him however, they were firmly fixed upon the two lions locked in battle. She winced slightly at each blow, but this fight seemed at least more civil than the chaos upon the shores of the lagoon. Until it wasn’t. Movement beside her happened so fast. One moment she had her eyes fixed upon the stranger and the caladan queen, the next she was being shoved back by the scarred sharkslayer - the sudden loss of feeling him near causing a pit to form in her stomach as she let out a mix of a growl and a hiss as she retreated backwards. Her ears flattened as the sudden fight broke out, her tail twitching with irritation and worry behind her as she stared at this newest fight. Daedric was delayed in his arrival to the challenge for the Cove. Much of his time and energy had been focused instead on making a patrol around the territory, even along the ocean's edge where others were any intruder was unlikely to appear.

At his brisk pace, it would not take long for him to make a full circuit before then turning his attention to the distant summons. He was not sure if a large crowd would amass, but he imagined so now that its queen had made new enemies.

His legs burned with the endurance exercise, but he would not complain, welcoming the burn of a good workout. They would carry him to the group already gathered. The queen was busy defending her throne from a young male of which Daedric was unfamiliar.
