October 11, 2024 Something is happening in the Scorched Wilds. There is a battle raging between a familiar force and an unfamiliar one. What will you do? Help or hinder?

October 1, 2024 Spooky things are happening as the afterlife start walking among the living once again.

September 30, 2024 Louve Dieudonné manages to keep Wolfbron Bluffs in the family. What will happen between the Bluffs and the otherwise peaceful pride of Lorien Plains?

September 20, 2024 Ilarion Rurik challenges for Wolfbron, will the Dieudonné lead pride fall?

September 8, 2024War broke out once again in the Lagoon when a wedding had some uninvited guest arrive. The war results in the most death matches the island has seen at once. The Summit was challenged by Brighid with Talisa answering the call. After many years of the Summit have the same two leaders, the Summit changes hands. What will this mean for the balance of Amaryllis? A witch hunt has started by Luther and Miaran which seems to be turning things on an island that is full of magic.

August 25, 2024 War broke out in the challenge for the Lagoon after Cassius tries to take the Lagoon from Isla. The Cove remains with Miaran. The leadership of the Mire switches from Sigrún hold to Rike when Luther comes back to take his birthland back. Elephants push into the Rainforest and push out the lions there. Soon after Lucifer lays claim to his birthland and takes over the Rainforest.

June 27, 2024 Conflict and tensions rise as prides come head-to-head with one another across Amaryllis - just as Pyrrha and Cassius take the leap to try and claim (or reclaim) their own thrones.

May 24, 2024 Rulers continue to shift, family strife ensues, and, per usual, tensions seems taunt and always lingering on the horizon.

April 24, 2024 Things are rocky within Amaryllis as the Dieudonne clash result in three deaths and forces a shift in the rulership of Firnen Rainforest. With Caladan Cove freshly overturned as well, what will the consequenecss of these events be?

March 30, 2024 The lull has ended as a long standing family, the Dieudonné, launch death matches against their own. The Plains sees a challenge from a new comer, Aphrodite, and the quite pride is pushed into the spotlight.

March 19, 2024 A momentary lull has overtaken the lands of Amaryllis as its inhabitants attempt to find their footing and rebuild after a string of challenges. How long it will last, however, nobody can be quite sure.

February 11, 2024 The Mire has fallen from the Stärke family and is now held by Luther Rike. The change has stirred but the fighting nature of those on the island. The Brook finds a new leader with Icefang and Isla takes over the Lagoon after a storm pushes out the old leader. Reti finds himself the leader of the Hollows after Alexander is hurt. The Oasis finds a new leader in Léonie who is soon tested by Harou.

January 8, 2024 The snow has finally begun to melt anew, which means that the world is slowly returning to the much-anticipated summer season. With the various holiday activities and the other jests put on by Nafasi also coming to a close, it is safe to say that winter is finally over.

December 5th, 2023 Nafasi had pulled a cruel trick and has sent Amaryllis back into a renewed winter season! But it's not all bad, because the lands will also see a handful of holiday-themed events popping up as a result. To make things more interesting, a wayward trio of travlers have also arrived and are facilitating a mass competition between the prides, bands, and rogues -- formally dubbed the Amaryllis Winter Games.

December 2nd, 2023 The spring air brings forth a number of pride challenges. A familiar challenger for the Cove and the Oasis arrive to try to earn what they want. The new leader of the Lagoon is tested in battle as well. What changes will come from the challenges? Who will remain standing and who will find their world turned upside down?

November 27th, 2023 In a challenge between mother and daughter, the leadership of Wolfbron Bluff changes for the first time in 5 IC years.

November 22nd, 2023 Two death matches, one resurrection, and an almost-war later, the lands find themselves in a constant state of turmoil and calamity. Families have been torn apart and endless blood has been spilt; but how is it all going to end?

November 3rd, 2023 The lands stir violently as a death match rages on between Aeistrios Saxe and Morrigan Greyflood. Observers spill into the pit in droves to witness what will no doubt be a historic battle -- and it is clear that this familial fued is far from over, no matter who wins and who dies.

October 12th, 2023 With winter comes the surge of more pride challenges; Ludivine challenges Ryker for Firnen Rainforest and is victorious in her endeavors, meanwhile an outcropping of maims breaks out on the sidelines. In a shocking turn of events Luther returns to challenge Bruno for Ecrosia Mire, will the former heir prove victorious or has Bruno got what it takes to keep his brother's ambitions at bay? This has undoubtedly shaken things up as Bruno declares war against Andal Oasis and Allies in the process!

The Hunt System
The Basics
Amaryllis' hunt system is an optional function that can benefit both a pride and its members, be used for the trades, or just for fun. It is completely member-run and executed.

Pride hunts can also contribute to a pride's tier, but only marked pride members can post to and participate in them. Pride hunts must only be made up of members of that marked pride; joint hunts or hunts that include characters from other usergroups will not be valid for contribution to a pride’s tier.

Helpful items: If you need help figuring out what your dice are or adding the dice amount for the hunts please use one of the following helpful items: Hunting Dice Amounts or Adding up hunt amounts.

Neutral Hunts: How They Work
Step 1) Starting the Hunt: One character starts a hunt by creating a thread preparing or calling others together. This first post can include looking for prey, coming up with a plan, tracking scents or trails, etc.

The character initiating the hunt (the one to start the thread) will also be the one randomly rolling to determine which prey is received. At the same time, they will roll for their first round of hits against the prey. They will do this by inserting the code below at the bottom of their post (we’ll explain how to calculate a character’s hit and luck values later on).

In neutral territories, you have the option of picking your tier or letting the dice pick for you.

Please use the following roll codes for your prey animal for a neutral hunt:

    Easy Prey: [roll=easyprey]
    Medium Prey: [roll=mediumprey]
Hard Prey: [roll=hardprey] *includes extra hard prey
    All Prey: [roll=allprey]

{ age | trade hunt perks (if applicable) }

Prey Information: [roll=enter correct one based on above]
Hunter Hit Roll: [roll=#d20]
Hunter Luck Roll: [roll=#d20]

Each level of prey has a set amount of dodges that the hunting party needs to outmatch in order to consider the hunt successful.

    Easy Prey: 6 dodges
    Medium Prey:12 dodges
    Hard Prey: 20 dodges
    Extra Hard Prey: 30 dodges

To be successful and take down the prey, the hunting party needs to roll more hits than the prey has dodges. Every roll that is 11 or higher counts as a hit against the prey; for luck, anything 18 or above counts as an extra hit. You can start rolling for hits anytime after the first post has been made/the thread has been started.

There is no posting order in hunts and they can continue being rolled for until the hunting party either gives up, the thread dies, or they have rolled enough hits to take down the prey. Please note, however, that you cannot double-post.

Step 2) Joining a Hunt and Rolling for Hits: In order to participate and roll in a hunt participating characters must be at least 1 year old. Other characters and cubs can post to the thread to observe the hunt and learn, but should not roll dice and cannot claim trade exp or petals for participating in the hunt.

  • Each member can have a maximum of 2 of their own characters participate in any given hunt.
  • The following information and roll must be inserted and filled out at the bottom of each character’s post. Please see the next tab for how to calculate the hit and luck values.

    { age | trade hunt perks (if applicable) }

Hunting Party Total Hits: (add up successful hits rolled thus far)
    Hunter Hit Roll: [roll=#d20]
    Hunter Luck Roll: [roll=#d20]

Step 3) Taking Down The Prey and Finishing the Hunt: A hunt can continue on until one of three things happen: the hunting party gives up, the thread dies, or the hunting party rolls more hits than the prey has dodges. There is no posting order, but characters cannot double post.

    • Example: If a hard level prey is being hunted, the hunt is considered “won” and successful after members of the hunting party have collectively rolled more than 14 hits.

Once the hunt has concluded, the remainder of the thread can be played out in any way and characters can begin to exit.

    • Remember: most trade experience tasks require a minimum of 10 posts in a thread, with two actions completing the tasks, in order to be claimable for trade experience.

In pride hunts, the total number of adults and yearling pride members will affect the prey level.

    • Only hunts with the proper prey roll will be able to be used for pride tiers. Using a lower tier will not count for a tier.

Please use the following roll codes for your prey animal for a pride hunt:

1-10 members: easy to medium prey, use [roll=smallprideprey]
11-19 members: medium to hard prey, use [roll=mediumprideprey]
20+ members: medium to extra-hard prey, use [roll=largeprideprey]

    { age | pride perks (if applicable) | trade hunt perks (if applicable) }

Prey Information: [roll=enter correct one based on above]

In order to have a hunt count towards your pride tier, it needs to be finished (the prey taken down/enough hits rolled) by the end of the OOC month that the thread was created in. Completed hunts have a hit total that is over the prey's dodge.

Once the hunt has concluded, the remainder of the thread can be played out in any way and characters can begin to exit.

    • Remember: most trade experience tasks require a minimum of 10 posts in a thread, with two actions completing the tasks, in order to be claimable for trade experience.
Determining a Character’s Hit and Luck Rolls
As you can see from the above, determining a character’s hit and luck rolls is an important part of participating in a hunt. This guide will quickly and easily run you through which values you should be inputting as part of the coding required for hunts.

Hunter Hit Rolls: A hunter’s hit roll is dependent on several factors, including the character’s age, pride tier, and trade perks. To calculate this, you will start with 0d20 and add up based on the following:

    • Age: +1 (if yearling) or +2 (if 2 years and over)
    • Pride Tier Perk: +1 (if it is a pride hunt and the pride is at least tier level 1)
    • Trade Perks: Some trades award special perks that can be used for hunts.
      • Level 2 Ranger: +1
      • Level 3 Ranger: -1 dodge for prey
      • Level 5 Ranger: Gives every lion to post after them in the hunt +1
      • Master/Sub-Master Ranger Perk Option: +1 (if yearling) or +2 (if 2 years and over)

After adding that up, you will insert your final number into the hit code. When you make your post, every roll of 11 and up will count as a hit against the prey.

      • Example: Bobby is joining a hunt. He is a rogue yearling and a level 2 ranger. Bobby would roll [roll=2d20] for his hits (+1 from age for being a yearling and +1 from trade perks for being a level 2 Ranger)

Hunter Luck Rolls: A hunter’s luck roll is dependent on the character’s official luck dice, which is found and listed in their profile. This roll gives each participant a chance at landing extra hits, which means better odds at taking down the prey.

    • In the hunt roll coding, simply replace [roll=#d20] with the luck value found in your character’s profile.
    • Master/Sub-Master Pathfinder Perk Option: +2 to own luck rolls when participating in a hunt
    • Rolling a number between 18-20 for luck will result in an extra hit towards the prey. If you roll multiple figures in this range, each one counts as an additional hit.
    Injuries While Hunting
Becoming injured while hunting is an optional dice-roll mechanic that members can use to add to their roleplaying experience. This is not required, and is not equivalent to being wounded (from on-site fights). If you decide to roll for a hunting injury, please note that it does not impact your fight dice, does not result in a wounded roll, and that you are free to roleplay it out as you would like.
    • If you are hunting easy prey, rolling a 1-2 means that you are injured
    • If you are hunting medium prey, rolling a 1-5 means that you are injured
    • If you are hunting hard prey, rolling a 1-10 means that you are injured
    • If you are hunting extra-hard prey, rolling a 1-15 means that you are injured

To see if your character is injured or not, insert the following code into their response post to the hunt:

      Hunting Injury Roll: [roll=1d20]
