General Pride Guidelines:

• Leaders may interrupt any thread within their own lands without permission (even threads marked P).
• Make sure to check the laws listed on the pride pages for each pride's rules, as determined by the High Sovereign.
• Prides are made up of members that fill out tiered ranks, from Prisoners all the way up to the Leaders. You can read more about ranks on the Pride Ranks page.
• When moving a character into the prisoner rank, the interaction must happen IC, but exits are not needed.

• Posting a thread here does not mean that a character has to join a pride.
• Rogue cubs can also post threads here to find a new home or to get adopted.
• Remember that cubs under 6 months old are automatically on (minimum) Orange PvP when in neutral lands.
• Only characters with certain ranks or trade perks may recruit in Maua's Passage.
• Pride members with a Medium rank or above.
• Outlaw band leader/Master Outlaw band member.
• Lvl 3 Ambassadors and Lvl 3 Bards.

• Your character can continue on life as a rogue, or, if there is a specific pride that you want your character to join, you can post them in that forum directly.
• All pride members can invite rogues to join their pride.
• However, they must be accepted by an Occupational ranked member or above to be considered official.

• If a character goes inactive and rejoins within 1 OOC month, they will be sorted back into their original pride.
• If over 1 OOC month has passed since falling inactive, the character will be brought back in as a rogue.

Claiming

• Pride members that hold a Medium rank or above can attempt to claim eligible rogue characters.
• Pride leaders can dictate rules about claiming in their pride laws.
• Lvl 2 Outlaws are immune to being claimed.
• Claiming can happen in any IC forum, including Maua’s Passage.
• Claimants need to include fight stats in their post in order for it to be considered official and enforceable.
• Once a claim has been initiated, there is a 3-day window where it can be contested.
• The character being claimed can fight to defend themselves, try to escape the claim (as per the fight page), have someone else fight on their behalf, or accept the claim.
• If the claim goes uncontested for those 3-days, the character will automatically join the claimant's pride (with or without exits).
• After a successful claim, the claimed character is subjected to a cooldown of 2 OOC weeks. This means that any character that is claimed into a pride is unable to be challenged for again before the cooldown has ended.

Theft

• Pride members that hold a Medium rank or above can attempt to steal other Prides' members.
• Low ranks and above can defend against theft (except in official Wars where any member can defend).
• Thefts must follow all the fight rules per the pride page.
• After a successful theft, the stolen character is subjected to a cooldown of 2 OOC weeks. This means that any character that is stolen into a pride is unable to be challenged for again before the cooldown has ended.

• If it is not clearly stated within a thread that a character is or is not trespassing, the character is not considered a trespasser unless they are from a listed enemy or at-war pride.
• This means that PvP does not rise for simply posting in another pride's forum. But, if they are from a listed enemy or at-war pride, their PvP will rise no matter what.
• If your character is in a fight due to trespassing and wins, any ranked character(s) may still start another fight against your character. The Fatigue System still applies in these scenarios.
• The trespassing character can try to escape, or roll to escape when in a fight to avoid further attacks.
• By trespassing, you accept that your character may be attacked and accept the consequences of your increased PvP. If a character who is on Red PvP chooses to attack a trespassing character, they accept and waive the normal steps that would be taken on their end as per the PvP system.

If a pride leader kicks out a member of the pride, exits are not needed and they are removed automatically.

Without Use of a Perk

• Post a thread within the pride territory attempting to escape.
• The post must make it very clear that an escape is occurring.
• If another pride member does not respond to the thread within 3 OOC days, the escape attempt is assumed to be successful and you can post again to exit.
• If another pride member posts before the 3 days have passed, they can try to block the escape.
• Fight stats (even if Round 0) must be posted in order for it to be an official block. It will then turn into a dominance match and all Fight Rules apply.
• You can still try and escape the fight.
• If the member attempting to escape wins the match or escapes successfully, they are freed from the pride.
• If the member attempting to escape loses the match or fails to escape the fight, they remain a member of the pride.
• If you fail an attempt to escape the pride, you can try again after 2 OOC weeks.

With a Perk

• Master/Sub-Master Bards, Pathfinders, and Sleuths with the chosen perk can help make it easier for a character to escape.
• These escapes do NOT have to take place in the pride forum, but cannot be further than the immediately surrounding territories.
• For example, if escaping from Vermeda Brook, you can use any of the forums in Amethyst Grove, but cannot use Aniadar Jungle.
• Again, it must be very clear that an escape is occurring.
• If the escaping member is a prisoner and the thread is outside the pride forum, all Leadership and Royalty (over 1 year) may invade the thread.
• They cannot stop the escape (since the perk is a guaranteed escape), but those helping are open to attack.

• If a pride takes part in 2 successful pride events in an OOC month, they will move up a tier.
• If the pride takes part in 1 successful pride event in an OOC month, they will stay at their current tier.
• If the pride has no successful pride events in an OOC month, they will move down a tier.

A variety of different events can count towards pride tiers, including:

• Pride hunts
• A minimum of 2 members must be present and participate in the hunt.
• Must be finished (the pride has rolled more hits than the prey has dodges) by the end of the month to be considered successful.
• Pride events (meetings, training events, etc)
The purpose of the thread needs to be very clear when the thread is started. These threads will only need 30% exits before the end of the month and the required number of members and posts is based on the pride size:
• Under 10 members = 3 members & 10 posts total needed
• 10-19 members = 5 members & 15 posts total needed
• 20-35 members = 10 members & 20 posts total needed
• 36+ members = 15 members & 25 posts total needed
• Recruitment
Attempt to recruit 2 new members into the pride.
• This will not include members born/stolen/claimed; only actively invited in characters.
• Threads completed by the end of the month, with exits, count toward one element of the pride tier.
• Diplomacy/Alliances
This is to help new prides get started by attempting to make 2 (two) different alliances with other prides or bands.
• Two threads must be made to count as 1 (one) pride event.
• These can be made by pride leadership, royalty (if granted the ability), or those with the appropriate perks.
• Threads must be completed by the end of the month, with exits, but do not have to be successful to count.

Bonuses stack, but change in leadership resulting from disbands or pride challenges will wipe them.

There is only one way to earn Tier 6 & 7 and that is through pride membership posting!

• Tier 6: You must be at Tier 5 and HOLD it for 1 OOC month before being able to claim Tier 6.
• Tier 7: You must hold Tier 6 for 3 OOC months before being able to claim tier 7.
• The number of posts needed to gain Tier 6 & 7 is based on the number of adult and yearling members a pride has at the end of each month (not counting the leaders).
• Take the total number of adults and yearlings x 5 = the number of posts needed to gain and keep Tier 6 & 7.
• This number will change each month as prides gain and lose members.
• The tally is only run after the month change (ie. you will be able to see the Oct post tally starting Nov 1).
• You will be able to see the totals here — Monthly Pride Member Count
• All prides are shown each month and as bands are made, they will show also.
• If you drop under the needed amount, you will lose Tier 6 or 7 for that month but will be able to try to regain it for the following month/after 3 ooc months.

Page One: About

• Gives you an overview of the pride: How many members, what Tier level the pride is on, and lists out all the members currently in the pride (as well as brief stats such as rank, age, and trades).
• Almost everything on this page is auto updated when your character is added to the pride by a staff member. If you do not have an icon in the "Character Chibi" section of your profile, a black paw will show up in its place.

• Tells you whatever the leadership thinks is important! You should aim to check this page from time to time as the leaders add new items and important threads frequently.
• This page is updated at least once every IC month (2 OOC weeks).

Laws
• Laws are set up by the current leadership of the pride and in most cases, are expected to be known by all the pride members.
• Laws can be updated as the leadership feels the need.
• Laws are not enforced by Sr Staff but they are able to be enforced ICly by leadership and other pride members. Be aware of the laws and be ok with them before joining a pride.
• Laws around prisoners are largely up to each leadership, aside from the few that Sr Staff have put in place, explained here and should be in place prior to any prisoners being taken.
• All laws go into effect in threads started AFTER the laws are in place.

Rank Laws
• These laws give out extra abilities to certain ranks above what the basic rank abilities are.
• Basic abilities will not be listed here, they are the standard for the rank and are able to be used by the character with that rank.
• Given abilities must be listed here in order to be used. If they are not here, they cannot be used, and they must be in place prior to the creation of a thread if used in that thread.

Relations
• Relations between prides are set up after a leader has spoken with leadership (or royal delegate) from another pride OR if there is already a well known, outstanding agreement or disagreement between leaders.
• Relations between prides are largely accepted as information that is "known" by all members even as they change, so be sure to check them out every so often.

• The history of the pride is important. It tells the very different stories of the prides that make up the lands. Leaders add threads here that have an impact on the pride.
• If you have a thread that you think should be added to the history of the pride, talk with your leaders!
• This page is updated at least once every IC month (2 OOC weeks).

• This page is important to check to make sure you are aware what pride tier your pride is on and what perks you get from it! Working hard as a pride does pay off.
• If this page is not properly kept up to date, members will not be able to use tier perks until it has been updated.
• The tracker is updated by leadership, so if you start a thread that is able to be used as a pride event, be sure to let your leadership know about it.
• Tiers are considered to be "earned" or "lost" at the end of each OOC month.
• Perks for the next tier up cannot be used until the tier has been officially "earned" at the end of the month and properly tracked on this page.

• This page can be requested to be added at any time by leadership and an Admin will add it for them.
• This page can contain anything that the leadership wants to add or share with the pride. Things like the history of the family that is in charge or even the perks that all members can use.
