General Guidelines and Filling in IC Profiles

• Every member is given 5 free character slots.
• Every additional slot will cost 100 petals and can be purchased in the Shop.
• These slots aren't attached to specific IC accounts. Once you purchase them, they can be used for any combination of active characters until you reach your purchased limit.

Username: This should be your character’s first name. It should not include punctuation and should be one word only.

OOC Name: This is your OOC name, please make it the same that shows up on your OOC account.

OOC Account #: The number at the end of your OOC account's url. Only enter the numbers, not the whole link.

Name: A first name and a surname for your character.

Age: Characters can join at any age between 1 month and 14 years old. Please see the chart below for information on a character's limitations and abilities depending on their age.

Lion Development:

Cub

1 month - 5 months | The minimum playable character age.

• Cubs can now crawl, babble, do general "cub" things, and start to be weaned.
• If their birthing parent is traded or stolen into another pride:
• Cubs present in the thread where the theft/prisoner fight happens will go with the birthing parent to the new pride.
• Cubs that are NOT in the thread do not have to go to the new pride unless collected by the birthing parent ICly.
• If in the thread, but stolen by a different pride or defended by their current pride, cub(s) go with the winner.
• At 3 months old, they can begin to earn Trade Exp, though they can't claim it until they are 1 year old.
• During this stage, the pride is the safest place for them — leaving the pride automatically increases the cub's PvP level to Orange.
• If not born on site, a rogue cub pass from the shop is needed for cubs of this age. They can also be adopted.
• Adoption of cubs can only be done if the adopter is 2 or older and the one being adopted is under the age of 1.
• Threads cannot be backdated and must actively say that they are being adopted.

6 months - 11 months | Still growing but able to get around more easily.

• They can observe rolled hunts to learn and be more involved with the pride.
• Can find a mentor at this age for their future trades.
• Can be adopted (see above).
• They are able to earn trade experience but cannot claim it until 1 year old.




Yearling

1-2 years old | Yearlings are now at their full height, but are still filling out and manes are still growing in.

• Yearlings are able to officially gain and use Ranks and can participate in the Hunt System.
• They are now able to start claiming experience for their chosen trades, including any trade work done between 3 months and one year.




Adult

2-10 years old | Full-grown and able to hold leadership ranks.

• Adults are able to have cubs of their own and officially adopt.




Elder

10-14 years old | Age has made them wise but their physical health and appearance has started to deteriorate.

• Able to hold leadership ranks till death.
• Over time, grey hairs start to cover their body and they have a harder time keeping weight on.
• Females have a lower chance of having cubs.
• Elders can live out their 14th year but will die naturally as soon as they turn 15.

Sex: Biological sex. Male (♂), female (♀), intersex (⚥), transgender male (⚧︎(M)), or transgender female (⚧︎(F)).

• Intersex characters need to detail their conception ability upon joining, either as: sterile, can get pregnant, or can get others pregnant.
• Sex is used for breeding purposes.

Gender: How do they identify? Customizable and manually entered. All genders are welcome!

• Ranks and claiming may be based on the character’s gender if dictated by the pride leader.

Sexuality: What is their sexual orientation? Customizable and manually entered. All sexualities are welcome!

Trades: Check out our Trade System page to find out what trades best fit your character.

Personality: Personality is a requirement, and we ask that you provide a minimum of a couple words. Remember that this is your character! You get to decide who they are!

• Every character should have strengths and weaknesses; if you are feeling stuck, try looking to our trades for inspiration and build from there.
• When creating your character, we also ask that you be aware and sensitive of appropriation. Please make sure that you do your research before borrowing ideas from cultures, illnesses, or disabilities, as it can be unintentionally harmful to others.

History: Everyone has a backstory; tell us what has shaped your character into who they are now. This part is not required when joining, but it is nice to have filled out to give others a better idea of who your character is.

All pricing for different items (premium pelts and mutations, global markings, etc.) can be found in Design Details. Items can be purchased in a few different ways:

• Through the use of our onsite currency, Petals, that you collect on site OOCly and ICly.
• Through the use of our New Member Bonus (NMB).
• Every new member is able to use this on their FIRST character only. See more below.
• Through the use of the Random Design Generator (RDG). See more below.
• Through gifts!

Are you new to Amaryllis? Welcome! As a welcoming gift, we would like to offer 300 petals to go towards the creation of your first character!

• We see a new member as someone who has never had an active IC account on the site - if you leave and come back under a new name, that does not allow you to use the NMB.

You do not need to request this or get these petals added to your OOC account prior to auditioning your character. Instead, just indicate which premium creation items you are using in your audition form.

• This could be a premium pelt, multiple premium mutations, a combination thereof, etc. As long as the value of your premium items does not exceed 300 petals, you are good to go!

This gift is only applicable to your first IC character. If you decide to bring in another character or use the Random Design Generator (below) first, you cannot use the New Member Bonus on your next character.

• If you do not use the full 300 petals worth, the remaining amount cannot be used on your next character (it is gone).

Not having much luck coming up with a design? Staff can help by doing a random dice roll to determine aspects of your character’s appearance. These rolls are done in Discord, but can be requested on-site by reaching out to an Admin or Sr. Staff member.

Anyone can use the RDG, even new members! If you use the roll and take it as it is, the design will be completely free to audition (you will still need an open character slot), even if it has upper tiered pelts or mutations.

• If the roll is changed in any way, you will need to pay the full price of the design. The only exception is if you receive a gift that allows changes to an RDG.
• You can request 1 free roll per month, and can buy a re-roll for 200 petals.
• Characters made from the RDG cannot be refunded but can be reset as long as they meet the reset requirements (see next tab).
• If you are a new member who is creating their first character, auditioning an RDG roll first will forfeit your ability to claim the New Member Bonus.

The roll will give you the following information: size, pelt color, eye color, maximum number of markings, maximum number of global markings, and any mutations. Within these rolled parameters, the design is completely freeform for you to create.

• You cannot purchase additional rolls, only re-rolls for your monthly. This means that if you roll Design A and choose to use it on a character right away, you need to wait until the next month to get another RDG roll.
• You cannot trade rolls with other members.
• You cannot give a character made from a roll to another member.
• RDG rolls do not expire, and do not disappear if you leave the site and then come back at a later date.
• You do not have to use the full number of markings/global markings shown (ie. if your roll is for 10 markings, you don't have to use all 10) but you DO have to include the mutations.

Banking RDG Rolls

• Banking a design means that it has not been auditioned or accepted on site, and that you are holding onto it for future use.
• All banked designs are logged in the Random Design Generator Log.
• *If you have been gifted the ability to have a 2nd design banked, you may have 2 (two) at a time.
• If you have a banked design and ask for next month's free random design roll, upon receiving the results you must choose which to keep and which to throw away. Trashed rolls cannot be used (for free) under any circumstances and would need to be paid in full. Once you make a decision, that decision is final.

Birthday Gifts

During your birthday month, you are entitled to a free gift!

• You have the choice between a free RDG re-roll or 200 petals, which can be claimed at any point throughout the month.
• You must have your birthday month on your OOC account to claim; this can be hidden from public view, as Staff can verify in the backend.

All birthday gifts are logged, per month, in the Birthday Gift Log.

Site Gifts

Every so often, players have the opportunity to earn gifts that they can use for character creation through events such as our yearly Advent Calendar or Posting Raffle! Each of these gifts have certain stipulations for their use and are (generally) one-time use items. Make sure you understand the rules for them!

We understand that, sometimes, a character that you have funneled time and petals into might not stick. This is why we allow some characters to be refunded, so long as they fit all of the following criteria:

• Must have no more than 25 posts on the account;
• Must not have been auditioned more than 6 OOC months ago; and
• Must not have collected any additional petals or trade experience, aside from age experience.

Any character that is killed in a PVP fight can be refunded, regardless of the listed criteria. The account will not be deleted unless requested and will be placed into the Afterlife System.

If you would like petals earned from posting to be moved to an OOC account, please request this at the time of refund.

After an account has been refunded, it will also be DELETED. Please keep this in mind when requesting refunds to your accounts, and make sure that you are okay with the account being deleted.

Please note that gifts (such as gifts from yearly advent calendars, contest prizes, other OOC events) are non-refundable. Once they are used, they are gone.

Resetting a character is when you don't want to scrap or refund the character entirely, but would like to restart them in some capacity. In order to do this, the following criteria must be met:

• Must have no more than 25 posts on the account; and
• Must not have collected any additional petals on the account
• Must not have been born onsite.

When you reset a character, their post and thread counts are reset to 0, and their trade and petal logs are wiped. The account will also be set back to auditioning after the reset is complete.

• Threads can be deleted upon request as long as there are no other characters present and/or the threads went unresponded to.
• In order to keep previously paid for items, earlier auditions cannot be deleted.
• Gifts that were used in the creation of the character cannot be reused again when the character is reset. You will have to pay for those items when re-auditioning.
