December 13, 2024 After winning the challenge for Wolfbron Bluffs and becoming the fourth Dieudonné to hold the crown, Lazare releases all the members and ends the longest standing pride's reign over the island. After seven years of the Bluffs being held by the same family, it now sits empty, waiting for the next chapter of it's leadership.

December 6, 2024 Death came to a witch hunter after she called for the death of Karsa, with Kvare answering it causing Miaran to fall. Lazare Dieudonné challenges Louve Dieudonné for Wolfbron Bluffs. Snow seems to be falling in the middle of the summer as strange animals show up and offer a tempting meal for those brave enough to jump in.

November 8, 2024 Scorpius has gone missing and in his place Zaahir steps up to take the throne of Andal Oasis. How this change of leadership will shake things up in the lands, only time will tell.

October 11, 2024 Something is happening in the Scorched Wilds. There is a battle raging between a familiar force and an unfamiliar one. What will you do? Help or hinder?

October 1, 2024 Spooky things are happening as the afterlife start walking among the living once again.

September 30, 2024 Louve Dieudonné manages to keep Wolfbron Bluffs in the family. What will happen between the Bluffs and the otherwise peaceful pride of Lorien Plains?

September 20, 2024 Ilarion Rurik challenges for Wolfbron, will the Dieudonné lead pride fall?

September 8, 2024War broke out once again in the Lagoon when a wedding had some uninvited guest arrive. The war results in the most death matches the island has seen at once. The Summit was challenged by Brighid with Talisa answering the call. After many years of the Summit have the same two leaders, the Summit changes hands. What will this mean for the balance of Amaryllis? A witch hunt has started by Luther and Miaran which seems to be turning things on an island that is full of magic.

August 25, 2024 War broke out in the challenge for the Lagoon after Cassius tries to take the Lagoon from Isla. The Cove remains with Miaran. The leadership of the Mire switches from Sigrún hold to Rike when Luther comes back to take his birthland back. Elephants push into the Rainforest and push out the lions there. Soon after Lucifer lays claim to his birthland and takes over the Rainforest.

June 27, 2024 Conflict and tensions rise as prides come head-to-head with one another across Amaryllis - just as Pyrrha and Cassius take the leap to try and claim (or reclaim) their own thrones.

May 24, 2024 Rulers continue to shift, family strife ensues, and, per usual, tensions seems taunt and always lingering on the horizon.

April 24, 2024 Things are rocky within Amaryllis as the Dieudonne clash result in three deaths and forces a shift in the rulership of Firnen Rainforest. With Caladan Cove freshly overturned as well, what will the consequenecss of these events be?

March 30, 2024 The lull has ended as a long standing family, the Dieudonné, launch death matches against their own. The Plains sees a challenge from a new comer, Aphrodite, and the quite pride is pushed into the spotlight.

March 19, 2024 A momentary lull has overtaken the lands of Amaryllis as its inhabitants attempt to find their footing and rebuild after a string of challenges. How long it will last, however, nobody can be quite sure.

February 11, 2024 The Mire has fallen from the Stärke family and is now held by Luther Rike. The change has stirred but the fighting nature of those on the island. The Brook finds a new leader with Icefang and Isla takes over the Lagoon after a storm pushes out the old leader. Reti finds himself the leader of the Hollows after Alexander is hurt. The Oasis finds a new leader in Léonie who is soon tested by Harou.

January 8, 2024 The snow has finally begun to melt anew, which means that the world is slowly returning to the much-anticipated summer season. With the various holiday activities and the other jests put on by Nafasi also coming to a close, it is safe to say that winter is finally over.

December 5th, 2023 Nafasi had pulled a cruel trick and has sent Amaryllis back into a renewed winter season! But it's not all bad, because the lands will also see a handful of holiday-themed events popping up as a result. To make things more interesting, a wayward trio of travlers have also arrived and are facilitating a mass competition between the prides, bands, and rogues -- formally dubbed the Amaryllis Winter Games.

December 2nd, 2023 The spring air brings forth a number of pride challenges. A familiar challenger for the Cove and the Oasis arrive to try to earn what they want. The new leader of the Lagoon is tested in battle as well. What changes will come from the challenges? Who will remain standing and who will find their world turned upside down?

November 27th, 2023 In a challenge between mother and daughter, the leadership of Wolfbron Bluff changes for the first time in 5 IC years.

November 22nd, 2023 Two death matches, one resurrection, and an almost-war later, the lands find themselves in a constant state of turmoil and calamity. Families have been torn apart and endless blood has been spilt; but how is it all going to end?

November 3rd, 2023 The lands stir violently as a death match rages on between Aeistrios Saxe and Morrigan Greyflood. Observers spill into the pit in droves to witness what will no doubt be a historic battle -- and it is clear that this familial fued is far from over, no matter who wins and who dies.

October 12th, 2023 With winter comes the surge of more pride challenges; Ludivine challenges Ryker for Firnen Rainforest and is victorious in her endeavors, meanwhile an outcropping of maims breaks out on the sidelines. In a shocking turn of events Luther returns to challenge Bruno for Ecrosia Mire, will the former heir prove victorious or has Bruno got what it takes to keep his brother's ambitions at bay? This has undoubtedly shaken things up as Bruno declares war against Andal Oasis and Allies in the process!

Fall
Though the air is still warm and the sun is bright, the summer is beginning to wane and, with it, the humidity has started to die down. It is a welcomed relief for the inhabitants of the jungle, as more moderate weather will mean that the rainforest will not feel quite as stifling, as well as those from the desert, who's early autumn will see calm winds and mild nights. For the rest of the peninsula, the change in seasons will be gradual, hinting towards the colder months that are soon to come.

Fight Types
The Basics

All fights your character participates in utilize the same dice but different types of fights have different amounts of rounds. You can read more about the fight system itself and the rules here.

Just a reminder that all fights have a maximum timer of 72 hours between posts.
  • Failure to post within this timeframe will result in the fight defaulting.
    • If a fight defaults, you can agree OOCly to ignore it and continue the fight if ALL parties (including those involved via a claim, for example) agree. Experience and petals are gained based on the default.
  • Some types of fights, like thefts, require a character to have a certain rank. Review the Pride Ranks page for all of the rank abilities before challenging.

Fight Summons

If you are already in a thread with a character you would like to fight, you can challenge or initiate fights against them as you wish (within their PvP Restrictions) and they must respond.

However, there are some exceptions if you are creating a new thread with the intention of initiating a challenge. NOT every fight has to be answered by the character being summoned!

  • Creating a thread and initiating a dominance, maim, or death match challenge and summoning the opponent into the thread is non-enforceable. The character you are summoning to fight is not required to respond.
    • If the character decides not to show up to these summons, there will be no consequences for them.
    • Your character can continue hunting them and attempting to locate or intercept them in other threads.
  • Creating a thread and initiating Claims, thefts, rank challenges, or pride/band challenges must be responded to.
    • Failure to do so within 72 hours will result in a default loss, and the consequential loss of the member/pride.

Non-Wounding Fights

All non-wounding fights are 3-round fights and can be either single- or multi-character fights as specified below. Please see our multi-character fight/interference rules in the next section below.
    SPARS
Practice spars are for players to practice the system or characters to sharpen their skills.

    DOMINANCE
Dominance fights can be initiated for any reason.
    • THREAD REMOVAL
    • A character can be attacked again, regardless of winning or losing fights (to include DMs) if they remain in a thread and are causing trouble over three posts (taunting, poking at, etc) and have been told to leave, stop, etc in at least three posts.
      • The attack can only be a dominance match and the character must exit the thread if they lose the fight.

    PRIDE RANKS
Challenging for a rank in a pride that your character is already a part of.
    • Leaders get the ultimate say on who gets what rank, regardless of the fight outcome and specify which ranks in their pride can be challenge for in their pride laws.

    CLAIMING
Fighting to claim a rogue character (any sex, age, species) into your pride or defending said character from claim.
    • Only medium ranked or higher pride members with the given ability may participate in a claim fight. Please see more on the Pride Ranks page.
      • The exception is a Lvl 2 Outlaw who can claim/defend a claim without rank.
    • After a successful claim, the claimed character is subjected to a cooldown of 2 OOC weeks where they are unable to be challenged for again until the cooldown has ended.

    THEFT
Challenging to steal a member from another pride.
    • High Sovereigns are immune.
    • Only properly ranked pride members with the given ability may instigate a theft fight.
      • Low ranks and higher may defend a pride member in a theft fight. Please see more on the Pride Ranks page.
      • During official wars, ANY member 1 year and older may defend other pride members. See more about those here.
    • After a successful theft challenge, the stolen member is subjected to a cooldown of 2 OOC weeks. This means they are unable to be challenged for again before the cooldown has ended.

    IMPRISONMENT
Challenging to steal a member from another pride to become a prisoner of your pride.
    • High Sovereigns are immune.
    • Only applicable during official wars. See more about those here.

    FREEDOM
Fighting to free a prisoner from another pride
    • Only medium ranked or higher pride members may initiate a freedom challenge.
      • Low ranks and higher may defend a pride member in a theft fight.
      • During official wars, ANY member 1 year and older may defend other pride members.
    • After a freedom challenge, the character is subjected to a cooldown of 2 OOC weeks. This means they are unable to be challenged for again before the cooldown has ended.

Multi-Character Fights & Interferences

Some types of fights can be interfered in by other characters, and others cannot be, unless otherwise dictated by trade perks.
  • Dominance, Thread Removal, Claim, Theft, Imprisonment, and Freedom matches CAN be interfered in and become multi-character fights.
    • Any interferences or additions must happen before the second round of the fight has started. This is to prevent confusion with the rounds.
    • Timers and ALL fight rules still apply.
      • If a single character defaults and/or does not post within the allotted time, they are removed from the fight and barred from continuing.
        • The remaining parties can continue fighting, even if one lion has defaulted.
    • Can have a max of three fighters per side.
    • A member CANNOT have multiple of their own characters on the same side of a multi-character fight.

  • Spars, Rank challenges, Maims, Pride/Band challenges, and Death Matches CANNOT be interfered in without special perks or circumstances and must remain single-character fights.
    • Master and Sub-Master Paladins may interfere only if they have the trade perk: Take someone's place in a maim or death match without penalty (must intervene in the first round of the fight).
    • Parents of cubs are allowed to step into a maim or death match that is made against their cub without penalty as long as the parent's PvP is set properly.
      • Only applies to those under a year and can only be protected by a birth or adopted parent (adoption must be official PRIOR to stepping into the fight).

  • Starting a fight in order to prevent another fight from happening is considered to be an illegal interference.
    • If Character A is in a fight or in a pending fight (round 0), that fight needs to finish or default before another fight can be initiated against them in that thread (if permitted by current fatigue and fight system).
    • Any illegal interferences will result in the post being deleted.

Maims are permanent wounds done to your character and are classified as either minor or major. Maims are single-character only and are 4-round fights. Wounded dice will be applied to the losing character and the winner will receive a wounded roll to determine their wounded status. You can read more about wounded rolls in the Wounded Rolls tab on this page.

A reminder that posts must utilize our Trigger Warning system when describing gore and blood in an explicit manner.

Minor Maims

Minor maims are injuries that do not have a lasting impact and do not affect day-to-day life. Examples of minor maims include:
  • Facial scarring (does not affect eye or nose functions)
  • Broken bones
  • Dislocated joints
  • Removal of 1-2 toes
  • Removal of ear tip/torn ear
  • Up to half tail removal
  • Removal of 1-2 teeth
  • Muscle damage
  • Partial removal of hair/mane

Major Maims

Major maims are injuries that significantly impact the character and will have a lasting effect. Examples of major maims include:
  • Partial limb amputation (less than half)
  • Removal of one eye/partial blinding
  • Removal of full ear(s)
  • Tail removal (more than 50%) or splitting of tail
    • Different from our split-tail mutation, the split part has no motor function.
  • Crippling a limb that leaves permanent damage (e.g. lameness)
  • Removal of more than two toes

Major Maims Requiring Both Party Approval:

These major maims must have approval from both parties due to the severity and potentially life-altering implications of these injuries.
  • Full limb amputation
  • Removal of both eyes/full blinding
  • Tongue removal (impacting speech ability)
  • Breaking of jaw (this is not a necessary death sentence, but it impacts speech and makes eating/drinking more difficult)

Major Maims Requiring Sr Staff Approval:

These major maims must have approval by Sr Staff and both parties due to the delicate nature of their particular subjects, regardless of PvP status.
  • Abortion of cubs
  • Genital mutilation
Pride Challenges

Pride challenges are 5-round, single-character fights against a pride leader for control of the pride territory.
  • There are certain criteria that must be met before your character can participate in a pride challenge. You can read more about those in the Pride Leadership page.
  • Wounded dice will be applied to the losing character and the winner will receive a wounded roll to determine their wounded status. You can read more about wounded rolls in the Wounded Rolls tab on this page.
  • A reminder that default timers cannot be waived for pride challenges. This is to prevent limbo.

Band Challenges

Band challenges are 5-round, single-character fights against a band leader for control of a band slot or territory.
  • There are certain criteria that must be met before your character can participate in a band challenge. You can read more about those in the Outlaw Band page.
  • Wounded dice will be applied to the losing character and the winner will receive a wounded roll to determine their wounded status. You can read more about wounded rolls in the Wounded Rolls tab on this page.
Death Matches

Death matches are the most serious types of fights that can happen, as they are battles to the death where only one is meant to come out standing. Given the nature of these fights, death matches have their own set of guidelines that need to be adhered to.

Death matches should always have some sort of IC reasoning. If you intend to initiate a death match, please submit the following form via the DM ticket in Discord or PM an Admin on site for screening. This is only used to ensure that there is an IC basis for the challenge and that the PVP guidelines are being followed. Once an Admin has gotten back to you with approval, you can post the death match on-site.

When you enter into a death match, you accept the outcome of the death match and however the winning character decides to play things out.

Your Character:
Who Are They Death Matching?:
IC Reasoning:

Before a Death Match:

  • No death match can happen without first receiving Admin approval. All those interested in initiating a death match must submit the appropriate form for processing. After it has been approved, there is a 1 OOC month window to post the fight.
    • Failure to do so will void the validity of the approved death match.
  • If a fight summons for a death match goes unanswered, any thread that comes after involving the DM'd character can be treated as an AW by the aggressor. This means that they can invade any of the other character's threads in an attempt to track them down.
  • If the character initiating the death match goes inactive, it will void the validity of the approved death match.
    • New IC justification will be needed if they return and still wish to engage in a death match.
  • If the character on the receiving end of the death match goes inactive, the death match will remain valid if they return, so long as the initiating character is still active.

During a Death Match:

  • Due to the severity of these fights, wounded rolls do not apply during them. Lions are able to use their full, unwounded dice when engaging in a DM for fairness and a level-playing field.
    • External pride perks or trade perks from other characters do not apply.
    • They are allowed to use all of their own trade perks.
  • If a participant is a primary leader, their pride cannot be challenged for until the death match has concluded.
  • Breeding threads, for either participant, cannot be started after a death match has been initiated. Litter requests must also wait for the DM to be concluded before being rolled.
  • Characters can attempt to escape death matches 1 (ONE) TIME via our escape roll mechanism. If they successfully escape a death match, they will be placed on a safety cooldown for 2 OOC weeks where they cannot be hunted down or challenged to a death match again. After those two weeks have concluded, things can resume.

After a Death Match:

As always, communication between players is HIGHLY encouraged.
  • Regardless of the posting order, the losing character will be allowed to post first, if they wish.
    • They have 3 OOC days to do so before their post can be skipped.
    • If there are plans to attempt a revival upon death (see more below), include an OOC note at the top of your post to make it clear.
  • The winning character then gets the final say on if they go through with killing the other character or not. They can choose to kill them, choose to inflict a lesser outcome like a maim, or let them go.
    • They have 3 OOC days to do so before their post can be skipped.
    • The results of the fight can be acknowledged by other characters after both participants have posted OR after 6 OOC days have passed, whichever comes first.
    • If a character dies in a death match, attempts can be made to revive them via the use of Medic or Cleric perks. A maximum of one Medic OR one Cleric can attempt to save them. If the perk fails, the character is officially dead.
  • Both parties will be automatically wounded following a death match, irrespective of outcome.
  • The winner will receive a cooldown of 4 OOC weeks in which no fights, other than pride challenges, can be initiated against them. The winner can choose for themselves to initiate fights during that timeframe, but it will void the remainder of the cooldown.
    • If the surviving character(s) choose to engage in another death match while they are still wounded from the previous one, the wounded roll received from the previous death match will apply to their second death match, resulting in a dice reduction.
  • If the losing character was a primary leader and is killed, the pride will disband unless there is a secondary leader able to inherit the rank of High Sovereign.

Resurrection

Master Clerics and Medics have the unique ability of being able to attempt the resurrection or saving of a character who has lost the death-match. Both perks give them a 50% chance at success. If the perk fails, they are officially dead.

Resurrection, however, should not be taken lightly and it comes with permanent consequences for the resurrected characters.

  • A character can only be resurrected once during their lifetime. If they are resurrected and die again, then they are automatically moved into the afterlife.
  • Any character that gets resurrected will have their dice lowered permanently as a handicap. They will have -1 hit and -1 dodge reduced from their dice and an icon on their profile to highlight their resurrection status.
Wounded Rolls

Getting involved in fights has its consequences. Any characters who are involved in pride challenges, maim challenges (minor or major), or death matches will be subjected to a wounded roll after the fight has finished.
The losing character (by dice or default) will automatically be considered wounded and receive a penalty of -1 each from their hit and dodge dice, which will be posted with the official fight results and reflected in their profile.

The winning character will be subjected to a wounded roll, which will be posted with the official fight results. This will be rolled as 1d5 in Discord, by a Sr. Staff member.
    • Rolling 1-2 means that your character is not wounded, and will not have a penalty.
    • Rolling 3-5 means that your character is wounded, and will receive a penalty of -1 each from their hit and dodge dice, which will be posted with the official fight results and reflected in their profile.

Being wounded from pride challenges or minor maims will heal on its own after 2 OOC weeks.

Being wounded from major maims or death matches will heal on its own after 4 OOC weeks.

You must request in Trade & Dice Updates when your character is healed to have their wounded penalty removed and their dice stats returned to normal.

Healing

After a battle and receiving a wounded roll, your character can seek out healing from a qualified medic. You can use healing rolls to speed up the healing process, or let the healing timers run out on their own. Healing rolls can only be performed once per injury.

For Pride Challenges and Minor Maims

Thread with a qualified medic (Lvl 2 or above) and roleplay gathering herbs, talking about the injury, etc. After a total of 5 posts of back-and-forth, the medic can then add [roll=1d10] to the bottom of their post. As per their trade perk, Level 3 Medics or above receive an extra dice for healing wounded rolls, and can roll twice [roll=1d10] [roll=1d10] instead. The highest number rolled determines the outcome.

  • Rolling a 1 is considered a critical fail, and 1 OOC week will be added to the healing time.
  • Rolling a 2-5 is considered routine care, and there will be no changes to the healing time.
  • Rolling a 6-10 is considered a success, and the healing time will be cut in half.

For Major Maims and Death Matches

Thread with a qualified medic (Lvl 3 or above) and roleplay gathering herbs, talking about the injury, etc. After a total of 5 posts of back-and-forth, the medic can then add [roll=1d10] [roll=1d10] to the bottom of their post.

  • Rolling a 1 is considered a critical fail, and 1 OOC week will be added to the healing time.
  • Rolling a 2-7 is considered routine care, and there will be no changes to the healing time.
  • Rolling a 8-10 is considered a success, and the healing time will be cut in half.

Trade Perks

Certain trade perks allow for quicker healing. You can read more about perks on the Trades Page.
  • Barbarian Master perk: Training and conditioning has reduced their wounded roll recovery time by 1 OOC week.
  • Beatnik Lvl 2: Being lazy pays off (shortens own recovery time by 1 OOC week).
  • Medic Lvl 2: Shortens own wounded recovery time by 1 OOC week.
  • Medic Master perk: 50% chance to completely remove a character’s wounded status, once every 3 OOC months (excludes DM wounded rolls).
    • Even if this roll fails, you may still perform a normal healing roll above in the same thread (after the minimum number of posts has been met).
