December 13, 2024 After winning the challenge for Wolfbron Bluffs and becoming the fourth Dieudonné to hold the crown, Lazare releases all the members and ends the longest standing pride's reign over the island. After seven years of the Bluffs being held by the same family, it now sits empty, waiting for the next chapter of it's leadership.

December 6, 2024 Death came to a witch hunter after she called for the death of Karsa, with Kvare answering it causing Miaran to fall. Lazare Dieudonné challenges Louve Dieudonné for Wolfbron Bluffs. Snow seems to be falling in the middle of the summer as strange animals show up and offer a tempting meal for those brave enough to jump in.

November 8, 2024 Scorpius has gone missing and in his place Zaahir steps up to take the throne of Andal Oasis. How this change of leadership will shake things up in the lands, only time will tell.

October 11, 2024 Something is happening in the Scorched Wilds. There is a battle raging between a familiar force and an unfamiliar one. What will you do? Help or hinder?

September 8, 2024War broke out once again in the Lagoon when a wedding had some uninvited guest arrive. The war results in the most death matches the island has seen at once. The Summit was challenged by Brighid with Talisa answering the call. After many years of the Summit have the same two leaders, the Summit changes hands. What will this mean for the balance of Amaryllis? A witch hunt has started by Luther and Miaran which seems to be turning things on an island that is full of magic.

August 25, 2024 War broke out in the challenge for the Lagoon after Cassius tries to take the Lagoon from Isla. The Cove remains with Miaran. The leadership of the Mire switches from Sigrún hold to Rike when Luther comes back to take his birthland back. Elephants push into the Rainforest and push out the lions there. Soon after Lucifer lays claim to his birthland and takes over the Rainforest.

June 27, 2024 Conflict and tensions rise as prides come head-to-head with one another across Amaryllis - just as Pyrrha and Cassius take the leap to try and claim (or reclaim) their own thrones.

May 24, 2024 Rulers continue to shift, family strife ensues, and, per usual, tensions seems taunt and always lingering on the horizon.

April 24, 2024 Things are rocky within Amaryllis as the Dieudonne clash result in three deaths and forces a shift in the rulership of Firnen Rainforest. With Caladan Cove freshly overturned as well, what will the consequenecss of these events be?

March 30, 2024 The lull has ended as a long standing family, the Dieudonné, launch death matches against their own. The Plains sees a challenge from a new comer, Aphrodite, and the quite pride is pushed into the spotlight.

March 19, 2024 A momentary lull has overtaken the lands of Amaryllis as its inhabitants attempt to find their footing and rebuild after a string of challenges. How long it will last, however, nobody can be quite sure.

February 11, 2024 The Mire has fallen from the Stärke family and is now held by Luther Rike. The change has stirred but the fighting nature of those on the island. The Brook finds a new leader with Icefang and Isla takes over the Lagoon after a storm pushes out the old leader. Reti finds himself the leader of the Hollows after Alexander is hurt. The Oasis finds a new leader in Léonie who is soon tested by Harou.

January 8, 2024 The snow has finally begun to melt anew, which means that the world is slowly returning to the much-anticipated summer season. With the various holiday activities and the other jests put on by Nafasi also coming to a close, it is safe to say that winter is finally over.

December 5th, 2023 Nafasi had pulled a cruel trick and has sent Amaryllis back into a renewed winter season! But it's not all bad, because the lands will also see a handful of holiday-themed events popping up as a result. To make things more interesting, a wayward trio of travlers have also arrived and are facilitating a mass competition between the prides, bands, and rogues -- formally dubbed the Amaryllis Winter Games.

December 2nd, 2023 The spring air brings forth a number of pride challenges. A familiar challenger for the Cove and the Oasis arrive to try to earn what they want. The new leader of the Lagoon is tested in battle as well. What changes will come from the challenges? Who will remain standing and who will find their world turned upside down?

November 27th, 2023 In a challenge between mother and daughter, the leadership of Wolfbron Bluff changes for the first time in 5 IC years.

November 22nd, 2023 Two death matches, one resurrection, and an almost-war later, the lands find themselves in a constant state of turmoil and calamity. Families have been torn apart and endless blood has been spilt; but how is it all going to end?

November 3rd, 2023 The lands stir violently as a death match rages on between Aeistrios Saxe and Morrigan Greyflood. Observers spill into the pit in droves to witness what will no doubt be a historic battle -- and it is clear that this familial fued is far from over, no matter who wins and who dies.

October 12th, 2023 With winter comes the surge of more pride challenges; Ludivine challenges Ryker for Firnen Rainforest and is victorious in her endeavors, meanwhile an outcropping of maims breaks out on the sidelines. In a shocking turn of events Luther returns to challenge Bruno for Ecrosia Mire, will the former heir prove victorious or has Bruno got what it takes to keep his brother's ambitions at bay? This has undoubtedly shaken things up as Bruno declares war against Andal Oasis and Allies in the process!

Fall
Though the air is still warm and the sun is bright, the summer is beginning to wane and, with it, the humidity has started to die down. It is a welcomed relief for the inhabitants of the jungle, as more moderate weather will mean that the rainforest will not feel quite as stifling, as well as those from the desert, who's early autumn will see calm winds and mild nights. For the rest of the peninsula, the change in seasons will be gradual, hinting towards the colder months that are soon to come.

Mechanics Overview
The Basics

Many of the mechanics on site use some sort of dice-roll, from trade perks to fight stats. These rolls are just like dice used for table-top games such as D&D and, though there are a lot, they're quite simple to use! Most rolls will be similar to the following format:

  • You'll replace the "#" in the code with the appropriate value, such your Hit, Dodge, and Luck values from your character's profile page and the Fight System.
    • This number is how many times that particular die is rolled.

  • The "20" is the number of sides on the die.
    • This means that whenever you roll a 20-sided die, the values rolled will be anywhere from 1 to 20.
    • Different dice will use a different number of sides, so make sure to double check before you perform the roll.

  • Other dice require no adjustments at all and simply need to be entered to work properly.

Trade Perk Rolls

These are all rolls that can be done once reaching the appropriate level in your character's trade and using the associated perk. You can read more about when and how to use them on the Trade System page.

  • Ambassador
    • [roll=ambassador] - 50% chance to prevent a theft challenge from being made against them in pridelands.

  • Assassin
    • [roll=assassinhide] - 50% chance to remain hidden (can’t be discovered; threads not marked P).
    • [roll=lvl5assassin] - 50% chance to find any hidden character (any character previously rolled to remain hidden or is actively hidden).
    • [roll=assassinshadow] - 50% chance of using the shadows to your advantage in a fight (+1 to dodge rolls for next round, once per thread).
    • [roll=assassinpoison] - 50% chance to non-lethally poison another character (-1 hit/-1 dodge for opponent for fight duration, excluding DMs, once per 3 OOC months).

  • Barbarian
    • [roll=barbarianberserk] - 50% chance of going berserk (+1 hit rolls for the next round, once per thread).
    • [roll=barbarianbuffer] - 50% chance of buffering an attack (+1 dodge rolls for the next round, once per thread).

  • Beatnik
    • [roll=beatnik] - Gain a randomized bonus dice for a round in a fight (once per thread; random roll to gain +1 hit, dodge, or luck).

  • Cleric
    • [roll=clericmaster] - 50% chance to revive the dead once per 6 OOC months (roll must be posted within 1 OOC week of death).

  • Medic
    • [roll=medicdm] - 50% chance of saving a dying (DMed) character once per 6 OOC months (roll must be posted within 1 OOC week of death).
    • [roll=medicwounded] - 50% chance to completely remove a character’s wounded status, once every 3 OOC months (excludes DM wounded rolls).

  • Paladin
    • [roll=paladinberserk] - 50% chance of going berserk (+1 hit rolls for the next round, once per thread).
    • [roll=paladinbuffer] - 50% chance of buffering an attack (+1 dodge rolls for the next round, once per thread).

  • Pathfinder
    • [roll=lvl3pathfinder] - 50% chance to remain hidden (can’t be discovered; threads not marked P).
    • [roll=pathfinderplots] - Activate mini board-plots for your pride or group, once per 3 OOC months (grants +15 bonus trade experience to participants upon exiting; 10+ posts in threads needed).

  • Sleuth
    • [roll=lvl2sleuth] - Another shot at spying (50% chance of remaining hidden after being discovered).

Fight Rolls and Bonuses

Unlike most of the perks, fight rolls require more than one die to be rolled at a time. You can read all about them on the Fight System page.

  • For all three of these rolls, you'll replace the "#" with the corresponding value found in your character's profile.
    • Hits: [roll=#d20]
    • Dodges: [roll=#d20]
    • Luck: [roll=#d20]

Occassionally, you'll be able to receive bonus dice through your pride's tier level or from your pridemates and allies! Check your pride pages and see if your leadership has listed the perks available to you and keep in mind there are limits to the extra dice you can claim from different perks as noted on the Trade System page.

All of the following bonuses are on the player to add. If you fail to add it in your post, you will be unable to edit it in, though you may continue to use it in subsequent posts.
  • Pride Tier Level 4
    • Bonus to members participating in fights in their pridelands (doubles the level 1 bonus of their master trade).

  • Pride Lead Fighter Perk
    • +1 hit rolls when fighting on your pride territory or an allied pride's territory (Lead Fighter only).

  • Pride Lead Scout Perk
    • +1 dodge rolls when fighting on your pride territory or an allied pride's territory (Lead Scout only).

  • Pride Lead Advisor Perk
    • +1 luck to all pride-mates when fighting on their pride territory (must be present prior to the start of the fight).

  • Ambassador
    • Home-turf advantage (+1 luck to pride-mates and allies when fighting in their pridelands).

  • Bard
    • Give a boost to companions in battle (+1 to luck rolls to pride-mates or companions with the “Best Friend” IC award).

  • Cleric
    • Channel mystic powers to help a pride-member in a fight (+1 luck roll for duration of fight when cleric is present, once per character per thread).
    • Protection is provided by members of the afterlife (+1 dodge for the next round of fight, once per thread).
      • *Cleric character only.

  • Medic
    • Healing expertise keeps all pride-mates in peak physical condition (+1 luck roll for duration of fight when medic is present, once per character per thread).

  • Nursemaid
    • Youth defender (+1 hit for the duration of a fight when defending a cub).
      • *Nursemaid character only.

  • Outlaw
    • Outlaws stick together (+1 luck to band-mates in fights when present, excluding DMs).
    • When fighting against a pride-lion and the wounded roll against them fails, re-roll their wounded status once.

  • Pathfinder
    • Support pride-mates by giving +1 luck to any fights occurring in their pridelands.

  • Ranger
    • Working in a group is second nature (+1 luck to allies when fighting together in a multi-lion fight).

Hunt Rolls

Hunt rolls include both the initial roll for the prey as well as each hunter's hit and luck rolls. You can read more about hunts on the Hunt System page.

  • Neutral Hunt Prey Selection
    • [roll=easyprey] - Easy Prey
    • [roll=mediumprey] - Medium Prey
    • [roll=hardprey] - Hard and Extra-Hard Prey
    • [roll=allprey] - All Prey (anything from Easy to Extra-Hard)

  • Pride Hunt Prey Selection
    • [roll=smallprideprey] - For prides with 1-10 members (asy to medium prey).
    • [roll=mediumprideprey] - For prides with 11-19 members (medium to hard prey).
    • [roll=largeprideprey] - For prides with 20+ members (medium to extra-hard prey).

  • EACH hunter, will then enter the following to participate in the hunt. The hits here are not the same as what's in your character's profile. Be sure to read the hunt page to calculate it correctly.
    • Hits: [roll=#d20]
    • Luck: [roll=#d20]
    • Ranger Master/Sub Perk: Experience gives you an additional +2 hits in hunts.
    • Pathfinder Master/Sub Perk: Lucky rabbit’s foot (+2 to own luck rolls when participating in a hunt).

  • During a hunt, your character can roll for an injury. Whether or not you're injured will be determined by what size prey you're hunting.

Breeding Rolls

During a breeding thread, one character will perform a seasonal roll during their exit post to determine whether or not the breeding was successful. You can read more about reproduction on the Breeding System page.

  • [roll=SpringBreedingAttempt] - IC Spring roll
  • [roll=SummerBreedingAttempt] - IC Summer roll
  • [roll=AutumnBreedingAttempt] - IC Autumn roll
  • [roll=WinterBreedingAttempt] - IC Winter roll
  • Keep in mind, if both characters are in the same pride and the have a Master Nursemaid with the appropriate perk, they can forgo the roll above as they will always be successful.
    • Make sure to note the use of the perk in place of the roll.

Miscellaneous Rolls

Healing Rolls

Whenever a character receives an official wounded roll, medics have the ability to perform a healing roll to try and speed up healing. Please see the Fight Types page for more information.

  • Pride Challenges and Minor Maims
    • [roll=1d10] - Level 2 Medics
    • [roll=1d10] [roll=1d10] - Level 3 Medics

  • Major Maims and Death Matches
    • [roll=1d10] [roll=1d10] - Level 3 Medics
    • Level 2 Medics cannot roll to heal a wounded roll from major maim or death match.

Hiding and Being Found

You can read more about hiding from and discovering other characters on the Fight System page.

  • Hiding
    • [roll=assassinhide] - Level 3 Assassin (50% chance to remain hidden (can’t be discovered; threads not marked P)).
    • [roll=lvl3pathfinder] - Level 3 Pathfinder (50% chance to remain hidden (can’t be discovered; threads not marked P)).

  • Being Discovered
    • [roll=1d10] - Inserted by the character searching. Rolling a 6 or higher means the character has been found.
    • [roll=2d10] - Ranger Master Perk (Being in tune with your surroundings gives an advantage in stalking (+1 dice when searching for a hidden character)).

Escaping

If your character has found themselves in a fight or a claim has been made on them, you can roll to try and have them escape. You can read more about escape rolls on the Fight System page.

  • Keep in mind, you only have three attempts to escape in a thread.
    • This is reduced to one, single attempt for death matches.
  • [roll=1d10] - Used in place of hit, dodge, and luck rolls.
    • Do not post both the escape roll and your fight rolls.
  • [roll=2d10] - Level 3 Sleuths (+1 dice to escape attempts) and Level 2 Pathfinders (Knowing the lay of the lands aids in escaping (+1 dice when attempting to escape)).
