The challenge erupted in what could only be described as a full on war and chaos ensued from every single corner of the battlefield. Draugr wondered if anyone's ghost would be following him home, confused that night. Would these lions push for that kind of hatred, bloodthirstiness? Or is it much less personal?

His own family did not waste much time in getting involved, trying to steal members of the challenger's allies, and otherwise just trying to bolster their numbers in means of prisoners. A thought of his father's last prisoner popped into his mind, though by now, he asssumed her to be freed. He hadn't seen the stranger for a while.

Draugr's eyes scanned the battlefield, wondering where he could place himself to help. It was then that a warrior's roar reached his ears and laid claim on his sister. A snarl rumbled in his throat and before Draugr could think, he found himself surging toward the female who would try and take his sister from the sands of the Oasis.

"I think not," he snarled, attempting to crash into the female with his chin tucked and his claws outstretched, attempting to grab and sink into her shoulders with deadly intention.

He would leave his mark on her if it went his way.

It's delicious to see the blood spill from such a sensitive spot and Tormenta can only hope that the lioness is reconsidering the whole idea of attacking her. The younger woman prays that in the future when they meet again, Sarsaparilla would think twice of laying a claw on her. Teeth sink into the other's wrist and Tormenta is greedy with her pull as she attempts to bite down as hard as she can. As much as she would love to be fully on top of her and dominate her (in a more provocative manner), her opponent does not allow the opportunity to happen. Instead, she plops onto her ass and Tormenta issues a growl between muffled jaws. Boohoo. In the process, the fangs are ripped out of her chest the pain of it all overwhelming. Tormenta lands on all four, her grasp on Sarsaparilla's shoulder failing as she attempts to keep her grip on the other's wrist and yank down hard. She was like a dog not wanting to let go of her chew toy and lose the game of tug of war.

The boy stepped back, if only for a moment, causing her hind legs to hit at his chest and her claws to barely scrape against his ugly cheek. Lips curled in a snarl as she attempted to use that time to roll to her feet. She was hasty, focusing all of her attention on that and not the boy that had snarled and moved at her again. Stupid Zinnia, she knew better. His unsheathed claws attempted to scratch at her own face and it was successful due to her distraction. Her head would turn at the force of the impact and the sudden stinging sensation would cause tears to well up in her eyes at the sting that quickly turned to a burn.

Zinnia would snarl now, well.. Scream…in rage. What was the matter with this boy? She had done nothing to him. Her ears pinned as she lurched forward in an attempt to headbutt the boy straight in the nose with the hard part of her head. Tiny drops of blood oozed free from the scratches on her cheek, the heated sensation panicking her a bit. She wanted this over and done, so she could see how Zabrina was doing.

A snarl escaped her as the Oasis king tore into her face. It was likely they'd scar, but perhaps she could tend to them well enough that they wouldn't do so. She flopped to the ground as she was pushed away, landing with a huff on the ground. Teal eyes still burned with frustration, and the will to keep fighting. "I will be back - this desert will not be yours forever." She snarled as he moved away from her. Pushing herself to her paws, blood still dripping from fresh wounds, Zabrina would look around for either Kvare or @Zinnia. Her gaze would land on her ward - stuck in a battle of her own.

A huff escaped her as she made her way to the edge of the desert. Zinnia had been told to remain out of sight and hidden - she'd need to know exactly why her ward had been dragged into this fight. After she tended to both of their wounds, however. And here she would remain until the young girl was finished with her fight. Zinnia would definitely be getting dragged back to their den after this - and potentially being grounded if she was the one who started this.

Annoyingly, she'd not brought any herbs with her here. But after they got home she'd deal with her wounds. Sitting down outside the borders, Zabrina would continue to keep an eye on things with Zinnia - in case she needed to interfere.

Noemi’s ears perked at @Pyrrha's request and she glanced at the strawberry woman with a smirk. You want to play the game? Let’s play. "Sure can. Once this is all over, we can—"

Her agreement was cut short when a call for the woman in question rang out over the thunderous roar of the many fights and the snarling and growls that went along with them. Pink eyes located the source of the call: a grey woman sliding from her shadows of hiding.

Thoughts began racing as to what would be best for her; sure she hadn’t wanted to fight for the woman earlier, but she had no reason to. But this? She could make a name for herself and ride into the good graces by defending a high ranking member of the pride. She rose to her feet and wiith a quick glance and wink back at Pyrrha, she surged forward to answer the intruder’s call.

She came in toward the woman’s side and as she leapt into the air, she opened her arms wide in an attempt to wrap her arms around the woman’s chest, jaws ready to grab the flesh upon her shoulder.

This was a relief. Home remained so. Thus, concerns now surged to securing his place amid the growing rush of contradictory needs, values, and orders. He valued discretion, and rampaging into a brawl (even at dusk) was not it. It would be far more valuable to remain aloft and watch for exchanges and politically significant activity at the fringes of the challenge, the conversations that those fighting could not see. Hence he had determined that the queen's first order would not apply to him; however, as their ranks devolved into more fighting, the queen herself was challenged for. He would not allow a royal to be defended by the spent and rowdy and stupid. Unfortunately he must engage in suboptimal behavior... fighting as a soldier would, instead of spying and thinking and only playing an assured hand. Thus it went.

From his previously hidden position, he trotted with smooth limbs and back low, cutting down the ridge of the dune toward the fighting. He had watched @Miaran ♔ win the Cove and watched her style. Hopefully this advantage would net a quick victory with minimal damage to his opponent. His ears pressed back when he saw a small, young female smelling of the Oasis sail in. The Cove usurper was a reckless, vicious fighter; he didn't want one of their own maimed, her face shredded, and of course she @Noemi wasn't exhibiting caution at all....

George aimed to approach @Miaran ♔ from the opposite side with a sharp snarl marking his arrival, a deliberate tactic to try to snag her attention. He attempted to slam his paw in a curled, clawed fist across her forehead. He recalled the usurper trying to shred Yuna's throat - best to target her head himself, to spare his more vulnerable pridemate.

She is unaware of the challenges and battles around her. She is fixated only on stopping this group- forcing them to yield. The boy was hers, and no one else would harm him but her. Call it maternal instinct, but Helah could call it obsession and you know, an excuse to fuck someone up. As she slams into the left shoulder of the male, she knows a bruise will darken her own frame soon enough, and her teeth sink into his left shoulder- just as teeth snare into her own right upper shoulder, just at the juncture of her neck and shoulder. Helah would aim to bite deeper into his shoulder, snarling in pain, as she would aim to bring her right paw down- clays splayed out to hopefully score along the inside of either of his front limbs, hoping to hit something sensitive and painful along the way.

Although the Prince was young, that did not stop him from participating in the violence that had fallen upon his home. Even at this age, he was a hellion, a young demon ready to tear into the enemies of his family.

He didn't care. He wanted to taste blood and watch it splash onto the sand.

And as his attacks successfully ripped open the girl's flesh, she screamed. His ruby-red eyes glimmered at the sound, a smirk appearing on his lips. By now, she was finally on her feet, and she was retaliating once again. Her skull rammed straight into his pale nose, and he grunted in pain. Oh, that hurt.

Pain blossomed and he sucked in a deep breath. With narrowed eyes, he opened his jaws and attempted to bite her, on the right side of her neck. He wanted to make her pay. He wanted revenge.

Sure. The agreement was music to Pyrrha's ears. For the most part she's unfamiliar with the Oasis, it's leaders, the politics. And especially now that Zabrina has failed it was time to get to know who was in charge here, who fought off the chimera. - Pyrrha is barley able to get further in thought when she can feel Noemi rushing away from her side and into a battle. Her cornflower gaze traces along the line of movement to the opposition that her company rises to face... And oh how the sight does warm the very depths of Pyrrha's soul. The Cove Queen. The universe did laugh today did it not?

Go get her Noemi. Soften her up for me thinks Pyrrha as she rises up to her feet and begins to stalk off to a place to bunker down and hide away for the short while until she can reconnect with her Oasis friend. One fight over, many many more on going still and Pyrrha was not ready to leave just yet.... Another fight catches her eye.

Neeha.

She cannot, does not, react from her now hidden position. But the ache and worry in her belly grows for her sister. It's one fight Pyrrha hoped would conclude swiftly and without much bloodshed.
