Kvare knew of her plans, and she had discussed them at length with her husband. Zinnia had been told of what was going on that morning, and had been told that if she were to show up, she was to hide and keep herself out of sight. She didn't want the cub being used against her. She knew that if the time came @Kvare would fight for @Zinnia and keep her safe if need be. Knowing the desert tended to be cooler at dusk and at dawn, Zabrina had struck out across the land towards the oasis mid-day. She'd scoped out the land prior, sticking to the neutral lands around it so as to not arouse suspicion of her intentions.

As she approached the desert, she noticed the scent markers. Deliberately stepping past them, Zabrina would make her way to a flat area that she could see, not far inside the land itself. She didn't want to make Kvare and Zinnia cross the border if they didn't need to. Settling into her defenses, Zabrina would prepare herself for whoever came roaring at her. Once she was situated, she would let out a loud challenging call. She was coming for whoever held the desert crown - and she would do her best to try to secure the desert for herself and her family.

Levana was very rarely one to show up first to these events, but she'd heard the call, very distantly but she's still caught it on the air, her head would rise.and she.would gently call out to her children and @Kireena, letting them know she would be heading out. Her paws were quiet as she traversed from grass into dirt and then from that to sand, she stays on the neutral side of the border, not willing to trespass so brazenly.

The piebald lioness takes a seat and watches, she is silent, her emerald gaze seeking out any other forms in the darkness, tail silently flicking, brushing the sand off of her rump.

She does not know the challenger, she does not know that this challenger was the wife of the man she'd spent days with, getting to know him intimately but only as strangers.

There was a different smell on the breeze - a stranger at their borders. He wasn't the type to pry, but he was always watching, always waiting, and today would be no different. He idled along the border, hidden by their surrounding jungle when a summons was called. Large and tall ears perked and swivelled, and large paws carried him out into the setting sun as he sought to find just who had threatened the stability of his home.

Coming to a bounding stop with the challenger and her friend in his view, he sucked in a deep breath and with that, bellowed a roar akin to a thunderclap, summoning his siblings for war, summoning the army of the dead to come forth and drive these strangers out!

She's no stranger to these challenges. Septima is clearly some sort of masochist to keep returning when her bike is being called for, but there is something inside of her that simply has to know. There is nothing on the planet that can pull her away from the intrigue of seeing strangers battle for her birthplace, save for perhaps the return of a silvery man with kohl-ringed eyes. Even then, she knows her return to the fight would be inevitable. Septima vaguely recognizes the challenger from Caladan, but her loyalties no longer lay with anyone there. She doesn't care who wins this fight.

Her heart dropped into her paws, less like reflex and more like gravity. The doom of challenge and the echoing summons of war carried on with little variation through so many of her life's moments. The steel of her face set. Weakness had been beaten from her visage. She wished it would never break the surface. Like many things, inevitable.

Preferring the hidden ridges of the sands, she approached with concealment but loathsomely advanced toward the open grounds that the challenger had chosen. This female received a long, spittle-filled hiss. Enemy. Did it matter why she had come here and what she wanted, when it was against where Sarsaparilla lived and the calm she wanted? She wished she could beat all such upstart females so they would never break the peace.

Her tail twitching, she slunk low toward the young male @Draugr's side. She left a respectable amount of space for him to move, never presumptive that her company was priority. It never was. She was but soldier and she looked for trespassers or troublemakers, eager to be the first to inflict punishment.

He expected the exchange of the twilight birds chirping past each other on their commute. Not this rash and ill-fated sound disturbing the peace. Moreover, threatening his peace. He rather approved of these lands, and found no fault with the ruler. Any interposition of a queen needs must disquiet his serenity. He didn't recall the voice, though he had heard it once before. He paced toward the call, veering into the dune shadows by habit and then by unconscious volition and then by conscious caution. Steps slowed, toes broadened and paw steps imitated a boy in slippers raiding the ice cream from the fridge at midnight. Except it wasn't midnight. So thus he needed to be especially careful. An especial art to the dare; an eye to the dwindling sun, knowing from which angles his chest markings and white paws would gleam. He couldn't approach too close, so loafed himself down at a distance. Both comfortable and concealing to his white paws, and his mane so folded under him that the slivers of white hair would be negligible.

As like a moth attracted to the light, Sevasti was driven the same way by violent acts, by the promise of bloodshed and desperation from others. She was pretty much addicted but to just because it gave her entertainment but important unspoken lessons, lessons to be taught herself by watching and leaning from the older individuals.

She arrived but even though the temptation was big she did not cross over the borders simply laying down on her side of the Rouge lands, close enough to observe the fights should there be more than just the main one.

She hopped this wasn't going to he a waste of time for she wanted to gain knowledge of this. She cared not about what could happen to any of the implicated only to see blood and savagery.

Interest was picked from the odd call for a pride. One she had lost track of, nor any changes it might have had such as leadership and more. Yet today as a summon of challenge rang she would go ahead and go watch, now as queen she wanted to be aware of any changes around other prides, to see if whoever rises or not could bring either a good or a bad future for her and her lions.

She had washed her scent and do her best to be stealthy. But if things went wrong she was poisoned her claws with a not so strong but still awful concoction of poisonous plants. Just to be ready for a fight.

She arrives hiding amongst some fried out bushes curious to see things go around her.

If it were Reverie; she would have waited just a little longer. Granted traipsing into a Kingdom whose crown you intended to rip free for your own possessed plenty of dangers in itself. The cover of night might have aided in this; but they will never know now. The last gleams of day light still streak across the sky and the warm color of the sands before the oasis dance with the light of Dusk as the Lilac woman, sable and shrouded maneuvers closer still towards the palms in the distance.

Affairs like these always attracted attention; unhealthy or otherwise and the Iscariot was not above using the potential chaos as a means of garnering information on the Oasis. He had mentioned it that night; would he be furious to see someone else trying to stake their claim to what was inevitably his birthright?

Reverie uses the movement of others to her advantage, staying low while her ears cup forward - eager to not be unaware in case someone caught her slipping amongst the Oasis's foliage to get a better view. Wistfully praying the Gods were as mischievous as her this evening; let them keep her cloaked and unseen.

he doesn't bother with a subtle approach, stomping onto the scene with all of the outrage he could muster in such a small body. how dare someone challenge for his home?! kjartan is not pleased by this turn of events, not pleased one bit.

the child finds he's not the first of the andal members to arrive at the challenge, fiery orange eyes flickering from one to the the next. then, his attention turns to the intruders that linger both on the land and just outside of their borders, needle-like teeth flashing in anger at their presence. finally, kjartan's attention turns to the fight-to-be, on the lookout for harou charging in to come defend their home. in the meantime, he positions himself next to a large chunk of driftwood, digging his claws into the bark and scraping them downwards across the rough surface. if these unwelcome visitors didn't leave soon, the boy would make sure he took it upon himself to show them the way out with his new, much sharper claws.
