they clash in venom and fur, swift aggressive motions spurred by violent frenzy.  blood coats his fangs, vermillion-tinged teeth glistening in the lowlights.  his attempt only half-succeeds, as he tries to seize her by the neck, and cannot retain a firm grasp.  @Zabrina retaliates, sure enough, carving into the side of his face, pinching the flesh there as blood dribbles to the surface of his masked skin, narrowly grazing his brow.  her paw comes up, too, talons slicing the other side of his face as rivulets of carmine trickles eagerly down his temple.  surging forward in a violent motion, harou attempts to headbutt his bearish forehead into her face, hoping to slam her backwards and rattle her.

It would seem her trials that she had been put through thanks to her sibling had hardened her, made her seem more resilient to things. Her teeth found purchase on the side of his face, and she would then attempt to bite down harder if she could manage it. At the same time, her claws struck the other side of his face - and she would then aim to slice her claws down his cheek if she was able to do so.

However, his movement towards her would likely rip her teeth from his face as he headbutted her. It didn't rattle her like he intended, but it did push her off of him. Adrenaline surging through her veins now, Zabrina would redouble her efforts. Aiming to surge forward, the chimera would attempt to sink her jaws into the bridge of his nose while her front legs simultaneously would attempt to slash claws at his own front legs if she could reach them.

There was something inevitably frustrating about hearing someone call for a place that was meant to be your home. At least, it had been a notion that had been instilled upon him that this was the Miroslav's place but other than that belief he had never quite known what home meant to him other than family. Even then, everyone seemed to be doing their own thing. Now a newish member of the Lagoon, he was trying to find that part of himself but knew that the likelihood was small if it even existed. Hearing the call, however, didn't soothe his worries either.

Instead she sat at the borders with a rather glum look on his face — as though he were a ghost brought to relive the past. Recognizing the things that he thought he wanted versus the things that he needed. So he did what he could to watch the two from the sidelines. Not wishing to peruse through the borders as it would have eons ago when it had been his territory to patrol but instead taking stock of their movement in battle. Thinking hard on their defenses while also taking note of their attacks, wishing to be better and what was better than taking stock of another's moves?

She moves towards the sound of challenge, the promise of bloodshed dancing at the fingertips of those more powerful, more ambitious than she. As she creeps closer, she begins to count the lions she knew on sight alone: Pyrrha, the deposed Caladan princess with her petal-pink fur and folded ears, so reminiscent of some other lioness she couldn't quite place at the moment. Aphrodite, the obsidian queen of death, too far removed from her nose for her to place a scent - where had she been when she last visited the Oasis? Levana. The beast of the Labyrinth and -

Andraesa sucked in a breath and shifted in her hiding place as she glanced upon Arduinna, her winter-woman all clad in fury and fire. The clash of the challenge dulled in comparison, even if the defending king did share her banshee's same swirl of snow and ice.

Again, she nodded to herself. He certainly wear it as well as she did.

they connect, flesh on flesh, fangs on skin, further amplifying his wrathful hunger. blood continues to trickle down his temple, vermillion rivulets long and garish, as new wounds begin to collect against his grisly frame. however, when he smacks his head into her face, he is surprised to see her rise back up so swiftly. she surges forward now, her teeth scraping into the bridge of his nose, tearing the skin there, while her claws slice at his brawny chest muscles instead, drawing more wounds along his body. the winter titan would retaliate in turn, attempting to once more reach for her neck, hoping to grab her by the jugular within their close proximity.

Ciara wasn't too fond of the idea of having her newly found safe heaven taken and potentially giving her banishment. She had worked hard to get here even though Luther now called this his home she wasn't looking forward to leave her growing up life in here. She didn't want to wander any longer. There was no where else to go for her other than here. Where she could at least find stability or so she though.

She arrived thinking on hiding but amongst the crowd she spotted @Aphrodite ♔. Unaware of her change of pride when she smelled in her an scent that didn't belong to the Oasis she felt her heart sink. Laying down beside the ex pride mate she looked at her. "Did you leave?" If so only now she came to know. She had brought some herbs to tend the king if he needed it. She returned her eyes to the fight to asses the wounds.

Pyrrha notices @Noemi wandering around the scene, giving the fighters the plenty of space that they were due, and the strawberry lioness holds her breath. Hoping she'll have some company soon. These things are always exciting but it's certainly better to share with a friend. Pleasantly that path the other young woman cuts is straight to Pyrrha's side. She huddles close, turns her muzzle towards Noemi while half watching the fight still from the corner of her turned eyes.

Maybe I was hoping to run into you again. She said smoothly and with a grin. Words played their part day to day, building bonds or destroying them. Very very quickly Pyrrha was learning just how valuable this other woman may be. So into the good graces she tried to go. Perhaps he will, but I'm more curious to see what happens after for either of them. This- She gestures to the fight. - is the easiest battle they'll have. Direct, the one they knew they were participating in and the one they had immediate control over. It mattered so little in the long run who won or lost here.

The sound of conflict woke the cub from her slumber. There was someone here? Is someone challenging for her home? Were they about to be displaced again? The girl rolled onto her paws; head lowering as she slunk from the safety of the den and parents in favor of spying on the pride challenge.

Kasija could smell them, friends, family, and strangers with all their scents intermingled on the breeze as if they belonged. They didn't, but the cub would flick her multi-toned eyes about the area before sinking into the depths of the sand so only her head and ears peaked above; a hiding tactic the sand cat preferred as she watched Haruo fight for their home. But her attention would occasionally flick to the bystanders and their conversation; occasionally listening as she lashes her gaze back towards the battle.

Ugh, just her luck. Icefang sneers with distaste at the challenge that rings out on the wind. Why did something always come to the groups that she had good relationships with? The ice queen prowls out of the brook and towards the Oasis, settling along others by the borders. She does not take much notice of who is around her, blue orbs pinned on the distinct form of Harou defending his home against...wait was that the lioness she had claimed Parthena from? Wasn't karma a bitch. The X'uekai grunts her annoyance, but falls silent otherwise. This would not be a future ally if the chimera female won, but she'd see this as a test against the strength she felt Harou possessed.

Rhea had heard the challenge call and while she usually did not feel the need to bother her self with political matters, she had took an interest when she saw her friend leave the Lagoon to head there. As she followed him from a distance, she finally noticed that the call had come from the opposite side of Amaryllis. His beloved homeland. Maybe there was hope that the Oasis was coming back to familiar paws. The medic moves to stand besides @Güelle, her tail tip coming up and offering him a gentle touch on his back leg. A friend here to support another. A shoulder to lean on if he needed it. Her blue orbs flicker to the pair fighting and she quietly murmurs to him "Do you know them?"
