By now Reina should have expected nothing less. The vast lands of Amaryllis almost always had chaos brewing. Violence was simply a part of life here upon the island, and there was no true way to escape it.

Thankfully, this time, the plum girl wasn’t made to be a target. Instead, she observed and watched the battles that took place right before her very eyes.

Once again blood would splash onto the sand of the oasis. It not only stained the ground but it also painted the fur of her allies and now, most likely her new enemies.

After this she was sure she would have to be wary of the cove lions. She hated that claws had been placed on a young child, and it made her feel uncomfortable and queasy.

If the children wanted to fight each other, she thought it was best to let them. But to punish a babe so much younger, she was utterly disgusted.

A small frown appeared on her dark lips, and the skirmish began to fade away. The tip of her tail twitched with anxiety and she finally got up. The oasis king had defended his crown, and Reina would be able to comfortably call this place home once more. For how long however, she was uncertain, but that was a fleeting thought. She slipped away to retreat to her chambers, desperately needing to relax from the commotion.[ exit Reina ]

Quickly battle erupted, and Vice's bobbed tail twitched slightly in annoyance at his brother. For a long moment, their parents were nowhere to be found.

Vice searched the endless crowd for enemies, but as he continued to look it simply seemed that most of the enemies were already being taken care of. Then his gaze found his mother attacking a cove woman, and his father approached them.

He ordered them to stay close, and if they were going to fight, they at least needed to win. Vice offered his father a short and silent nod, sticking by him just in case trouble came their way.

But the bloodshed began to ebb away, the roars and snarls starting to fade. It seemed that their leader had won the battle, protecting their home from the woman who wished to take his throne. A sneer appeared on his lips, watching her as she spat words at him and then sulked off.

"Pathetic," he murmured under his breath—the insult aimed at the chimera. If she was bold enough to try to take a crown from the dark king, she should've at least fought better. No, this was just a prime example that women were weak.

A small growl left his lungs, leaving when his father decided it was time for them to go.[ exit Vice ]

How odd.

The battles came and went. Haruo was victorious in saving their pride and further still there was a stream of lesser fights that broke out along the edges of the main one. Each one too drew to a close, vibrating with their colors as even their heir is swept away by the tides of change. Was this the way of the world? Does this need to break or be broken? Steal or be stolen that dictated how or if one would sleep peacefully through the night?

The question is there, rested upon her tongue as she notices the large shadow of her father looming over her brothers. The cub coils from her hiding spot, slipping out and away from the group as she spotted an opening; no longer wanting to be here.

the fights rage on and karsa is diligent in observing. on one end, there are three lions entangled in battle and by the end - it is the pair who fight together that win against the grey lioness. there's a heated exchange between the trio, or at least that's what it seems like from karsa's vantage point, before the group seems to break apart in their own separate directions.

it's then that he comes across a stubbornly stuck pebble, lodged deep under one of his claws. with a grimace, the man gets to work cleaning it out along with some other dirt that's stuck under there. by the time karsa is finished, his blue eyes turn towards reti's fight only to find that somehow it has already ended - and his friend is victorious. the young savante smiles, pleased by the outcome. with the main fight for the pride finished and his friend victorious, karsa sees no further reason to sit around here and so he is quick to slip away from his hiding spot, back towards obsidian hollow.

She trembled in her absent boots until the trickle of blood on her wrist made her wrench her gaze downward. The world seemed to swing with her. She clenched her jaws until it stopped moving. The sand felt too insecure and moist, like a Twister board on a waxed floor. She hated this sight of blood on what should be beautiful and soft. Muscles rumbled in her ear. Was it the distant sea ringing within her hollowing cheeks? Her enemy had not rejoined her. Other battles split up with panting and curses. Loneliness was her promise of revenge. She felt cold. No fellowship to celebrate? She would retreat, maybe grieving enough to seek company.

The brute was fluffy, and with that, it make it difficult for claws to reach his skin even if their wielder meant business. Her left paw swung first for his shoulder, combing through his thick fur and pulling out a chunk or two of it. The action left shallow wounds in its wake, but thankfully, they weren't as bad as Lagertha intended. Next came her right paw, aiming to sink claws into the left* side of his neck. Draugr sought to dodge this, sacrificing pulling against his face-hold to ensure that she didn't meet her mark with her claws. The movement slipped off of him with the jerk, but he was still trapped in her grip. Her attempt to push him over was futile, but he grew tired of this struggle.

"Enough!" he bellowed, standing down and standing still, pulling his lips back in a snarl. "Let go of my face," he commanded, panting. He attempted to meet eyes with @Drena as well.

"You are outnumbered and growing tired. End this, leave our sister, and leave our lands," he growled to @Lagertha , giving her a chance at freedom herself. He had the authority for it and could easily take her prisoner if he pleased, but he was allowing her to leave. "In peace," he growled once more, emphasizing the word, and boring his green gaze into the woman.

Otter

I will do anything
to keep them safe

Her side burns from the impact as she expects teeth and claws to find her again. They don't instead the pale woman snarls and leaves? Otter's breaths are shaken and it hurts as she drags herself back onto her paws. The battlefield around her was strangely echoey as she stood there wide-eyed and bleeding watching her opponent move on to confront another.

The baron just stands there her ears flicking towards the man who'd fought alongside her for their queen. His words are finally registered and bring confusion sweeping over her. Had they won? How? Otter was certain she'd lost, one did not win fights by being thrown to the ground. She was painfully aware she had been at the other woman's mercy had the pale lioness not abandoned her attack.

The baron watches as the clay takes his leaves and for a moment she just watches him go. Her body burns and her left eye is clouded from the blood seeping into her vision. She sets into motion almost mechanically to follow him. She doesn't look back to ensure their queen is actually safe, to see if her sister is safe. She just leaves, every step burns painfully as the wounds to her back are pulled at. But the pain also brings clarity as she seeks to blend into the mass of moving bodies hoping to disappear and leave the oasis quietly.

Drena knew it would only be a matter of time before @Lagertha would gas out, she was outnumbered after all. Despite herself, despite the need to maul this woman, Drena relinquishes her hold on the female. She can still taste the tang of blood on her lips, her hungry gaze locking eyes with @Draugr as he demands she release his face. "You heard him." She snaps, tail lashing once on her flanks before settling behind her. The lacerations that marred her chest were a nuinsance, but one that could easily be dealt with later. Instead, she continued to survey the interaction like a hawk. And if it were up to her, she'd keep the bitch here as a prisoner. But it appeared this male had other intentions, intentions of peace. Drena hardly even knew or cared for such actions.

Witchling

The witchling watches from her hiding spot and sees the fights go on, the many lions whose fate are exposed to her eyes vibrant and red. But one fight kept her glance more so than the others, one fight had her prayer.

But he loses, the witchling watches as his red shines bright against pale fur. Watches as the lioness sneers in victory before leaving. @Rhesk's fate had been exposed, it had been spilled by this woman who'd dared to steal it. To tear her own marks into him to paint his fur with fate. A fate chosen by her, the witchling holds back a dissatisfied hiss.

She doesn't know why fate had not obliged her prayer. Why fate had followed its own course. But perhaps that was just how fate worked? No... She knew it worked differently, knew she could affect it.

With blood.

But she'd not given fate any blood this time, this time fate had been drawn out there between them. Could that be why her voice had gone unheard? The witchling's eyes narrow as she pulls away, the fights still going around her but at least the Oasis seems safe. She doesn't wanna see the rest, their fate does not concern her yet. So she'll slip away to find something small, easy to carry and take apart. Fate would be hers, as it always was.
