Fights were nearing their ends—the main challenge long since concluded—and the beginnings of departure began to make its way through the crowd. From where she sat, she likely would have been fine to remain and continue unnoticed, but thought it best not to push her luck.

She rose to her paws and turned away from the action to head back to Wolfbron. Along the way, she paused at the border between the barren land overlooked by the plateaus and where the sand ceased its cover, taking note of the lessening scent as she started up again. She had a pretty good lock on the pride’s border now and, seeing how strong its leaders and members were—evidenced by their many tussles with outside lions—this would be good knowledge to carry throughout her travels.

Zaahir winced slightly as the one fight he'd been watching ended with claws through the grey woman's face. That was gonna leave a lasting mark, he was sure. The outcome of the other one had seemed certain enough from the second the third participant had joined one side and unbalanced the odds, so he didn't really feel the need to lay there and watch the last few seconds.

And his conversational companion was leaving, anyway. Time to head off before the local pride turned their attention to running off anyone that hadn't even touched their border. He rose to sit as @Silas said his goodbyes, offering a grin, "Ditto. Hey, maybe I'll come around to visit some time." Or something. He liked the desert landscape due to the familiarity, and the local pride seemed an exciting bunch. Maybe he'd give up the rogue life, it was lonely anyway without his family around.

The other male disappeared into the territory, and Zaahir would stand, pausing only to pick up his herb bundle before turning to trot deeper into the desert. Maybe to continue hunting medicinal plants, maybe to stash what he already had at what had been serving as his makeshift home.

It was at the last second that Draugr realized he would not be fighting this woman alone and that @Drena had jumped into the battle. But that was only a second because as his claws sunk into the woman’s shoulders, Lagertha attempted to go for his throat. Draugr had been fortunate to tuck his chin, though, and even more lucky to be a furry bastard in the desert because even though her teeth closed on the side of his face (where his fur wasn't helping him anyway), when the woman lashed out with her (right?) paw, her claws only raked shallow wounds.

Draugr’s face contorted with pain as her teeth sunk deeper into his skin, and as he attempted to push down upon her, attempting to apply enough pressure to her shoulder punctures to turn them into lacerations, his green eyes flicked up and over to Drena for a brief second.

He did not have to wait long. And Sébastien found himself satisfied as there was no resulting shift in leadership. The Oasis remained stable and, thus, there was no need to worry about any change in regards to their relationship to the bluffs. Whatever other squabbles were occurring were of no interest to him. Althoug he did note the arrival of a semi-familiar, pale, man he'd last seen fighting and generally being insulting. The displaced mire king - the vampire had no idea what had driven him from the swamps, but still marked his presence in the oasis in case it was somehow relevant.

Otherwise satisfied, Sébastien would rise to take his leave and return to what he'd been intending to do before the challenge had become a distraction. Some unfortunate, otherwise predatory, soul would soon learn how it felt to become prey.

Helah loved battle, she loved the scent of blood. She loved how it coated her tongue, a perfume that she preferred to be wrapped in. She did not care any for her own injuries, but she would rather if she were to fight such a handsome male enjoy the carnal desires after the fact. She does not think that is something that will happen after this fight, though she was absolutely unopposed. His laugh, as she tore into him, made her own lips twist into a manic grin, and she aim to bite deeper into his flesh, to rip and to try to tear it free of the joint of his shoulder. His own jaws dig into her, ripping and tearing and the bloodletting turns her into a frenzied creature. She laughs, echoing his noise as he shreds her. As his paw slaps her chest, and claws score down her chest... well, Helah steps into the blow, moaning at the pain and contact. She had never been right in the head, after all.

Helah slaps out wildly with a paw, claws wildly extended in an attempt to slam her paw down onto the top of his, to dig her claws into him, and hold him in place. She was having a fair bit of fun, after all. Couldn't just let him leave without more, more more.

Anger unfurled in her like an untamed beast, leaving only the desire to ravage and tear apart the woman that was in front of her. She remembered her, she'd always remember this bitch, and she'd make sure that Lagertha had more than a few wounds from her before this fight was finished. Draugr's presence was noted by the sounds of his attacks, but she was entirely focused on Lagertha's hindquarters. Her kick was enough to land a blow in the center of her chest, claws scraping across the palpable flesh there. Blood bubbled to the surface of the new lacerations, a bruise forming beneath the skin there, but Drena would not relent. Her teeth would clench down harder on the woman's tail, attempting to keep her grip merciless. Meanwhile, her heavy paws would shred downward, attempting to rake down Lagertha's haunches towards her hind legs. Ears pinned and a dangerous glint in her burning gaze, this war hound would not stop until victory was achieved.

There continued to be a lot more going on than what she had the foresight to unravel. Fights that had broken out between many, many different lions that she had not the faintest clue as to how they had come about. The lion who held the Oasis would continue to hold it, it seemed, which left Juliette to simply blink in silent confusion. Eventually finding that with a few other lions heading out, it was likely best that she do the same. Having been stationed on the outside of the borders she had little issue finding her way out and followed the exact path she'd come in on. exit juliette

Excellent. He grinned, his fangs white and unbloodied. A simple, well-timed pull was all it took to help his pridemate bring her to the ground. The usurper contorted as she fell, lashing out with hind legs, and George pivoted his hindquarters away but took a long, glancing slash to the side of his knee. He tutted with a bit of a hiss. His ears fell back again. Although Noemi took the blunt of the attack, that was still messy of him to be injured at all. And along with his pridemate trying to pin down the hind end, George attempted to press his paw on her shoulder to try to hold her front end down with his claws lazily, perhaps cruelly, extended. She had touched him so he didn't mind hurting her. Such a frenzied lioness was almost no woman at all, and his sense of tradition did not require him to extend courtesy. His eyes narrowed and he focused on keeping his weight light across the rest of his limbs, mindful that she might lash out in any direction.

she is drawn in by the sounds of a fight. a vicious call for the crown - more important, an ally's crown - as tends to be so frequent in the ever-changing political landscape of amaryllis. manon has no idea if her mother will join the overflowing crowd but so far, the dieudonné princess hasn't caught a single whiff of louve amongst the dozens of different scents layered on top of one another. it's on the task of gathering information for her mother that manon slips past the borders of andal, making sure to roll in the sands and scraggly bushes that lead up to the territory, entirely hiding the smell of wolfbron under that of sand and desert.

she finds a particularly lush patch of ferns and other shrubbery near the edge of the oasis' waters, slipping easily into the shadows between the vegetation where her dark coat helps to hide the yearling from view. it is from this vantage point that manon catches sight of two quite interesting fights underway - and it seems they are not the first fights to occur on this battlefield today. there is on one end an ally of theirs, the calandan queen who had just recently been at their borders, locked in battle with members of the oasis for helah. a former member of wolfbron, if manon's memory served correctly.

on the other end, there's a cluster of people including morana fighting one another for... who knew, honestly? manon's red gaze flickers between both fights, eager to see who would come out on top as the yearling had very obviously missed out on the main fight. though without a haughty new sovereign in the middle of everything demanding everyone get out - she can only assume their ally here in andal had prevailed. good.

She can feel they have won, Icefang slipping out of @Arkyn's grasp as her blue orbs wildly dart towards @Parthena. Her jaws would aim to clamp anywhere onto her daughter - her scruff, a leg, her tail whatever she can manage, so that she can drag the brass child back to the brook. Instead of enjoying the shit show that had unfolded in the Oasis, she had missed the majority of it all thanks to the princess. If she misses her hold on securing Parthena, she would snap a quick "Grab her!" to @Nikandr as she heads off back home, fur bristling with irritation. She does not care to exchange words with @Nyaxia or Arkyn, only focused on leaving the area before she is forced into another battle.
