This was not a place for a barbarian but an assassin. Perfect to practice covering her scent or gathering plants. Once she had gone through the Grove and found the next neutral territory, thick as it was, she would begin to roll in the muck. Perhaps she could try to make herself smell like another pride. Ears twisted as she stopped rolling sniffing herself and wrinkling her nose at the stench and the Cove that wasn't as strong anymore. Violet jewels glanced around the thicket and began to think she could try to smell like a Mire lion from here. But could she do it if she wasn't in the swamper lands on the Grove?

Following the scent of a herd of Zebra he stayed back from there. Not right up on them but about a quarter of a mile from them. Their scent on the wind as he was hot on their tracks. Though he wasn’t sure if he was going to try to hunt them or not. It wasn’t like they were at the cove or even right next to it. Bring a downed zebra home would be dangerous and difficult should someone else decide that they wanted it. Not that he wouldn’t fight to defend his kill from their enemies.

In any case as he came into the thicket a new scent came to his attention. It was very faintly of the cove? No. That didn’t seem right. Was it the Mire? Grunting he stopped and looked around him. Scouting out the landscape in his general vicinity. This scent was confusing to him.

She kept looking around until she found a spot that was more swamp-like than solid ground and she would roll in it. When she felt like she was well covered and the Cove was no longer on her hide she would get up. And since she had gone to the Mire a few times she wasn't entirely sure she was going to be able to master the prides scent from here without going to the pride to try it out. Plus she wasn't in the mood to try and disrespect Zahra by sneaking into her pride lands unannounced. She wanted an ally out of Zahra not an enemy. So she would just try without realizing she was confusing more @Milano.

This scent was driving him crazy. It was Cove like but then it wasn’t. It was like his nose was falling him as soon it was gone. Rubbing his nose he took in a deep breath before snorting. Sneezing wildly he shook it off. "What was that?" He questioned himself. He must have just gotten confused because he couldn’t smell that strange scent anymore.

What he could smell was the zebra herd so he started to follow it again. Exploring the thicket until something happened to catch his attention. "Hello? Who is there?" He called out feeling like someone was nearby but unsure about it.

When she felt like she was covered enough with all of the muck and maybe didn't smell like the Cove anymore she would begin to travel through the thicket once again. Aphrodite had been so busy with trying to mimic the Mire's scent that she hadn't even noticed that someone else had come into the thicket too. Ears twisted when she heard someone calling out and she had to figure out just who it was. Violet jewels glancing around, Aphrodite soon spotted the familiar red form and moved closer to it. @Milano? Her voice was soft, curious even as she moved closer at looked at him curiously. Why are you in the thicket?

Does he honestly need a reason to be in the thicket? Though he could have been a creepy stalker guy. Maybe that was what @Aphrodite was worried about? Though he hadn’t expected to find her here. He hadn’t smelt her. Sniffing the air towards her he wrinkled his nose and stuck out his tongue before softly speak. "With all due respect Aphrodite you stink and don’t smell at all like you." Boldly being honest he shook himself before rubbing his nose again. Clearing his throat he finally answered her question. "Sorry, I was following the scent of a zebra herd. Though now I seem to have lost the scent." He was honest with her. His nose was a bit confused at the moment.

Ears twisted as she listened to his words. He was respectful in the way he told her that she stank. And it only brought a chuckle to her lips as she gave him a small smile. Well then that's good to know. It means I've removed the Cove off of my pelt and hopefully mimicked the Mire's scent. She would admit to him. They were pridemates after all and she shouldn't be hiding every aspect of her life from him. Though she wasn't going to tell him everything.

He spoke of a Zebra herd and she would glance around, curious. I haven't smelled anything other than myself so I'm not going to be much help. And wasn't that the truth. She smelled like utter shit. So trying to smell out a herd was not going to be in her agenda today.

"Perhaps it is for the best. This far from home would be hard to get it home. I could very well have been jumped by the enemy." Speaking calmly and casually about it he might have seemed to be making a joke but he was very much serious as he spoke. After all the cove had made some rash decisions and therefore made a number of enemies. The idea though that @Aphrodite smelt like the mire through him off. Head nodding as he sniffed her again. "The mire doesn’t smell like a pleasant place to live then." shaking himself once more he decided then and there that he didn’t want to ever live at the mire.

Well with another it may not be as bad. She would comment, giving him a smirk before that smirk vanished and she was just out right chuckling at the thought that just went through her mind. You would be right. The few times that I was in the Mire it wasn't a very good scent to have on one's coat. She would admit, shrugging her shoulders before glancing around her muck covered self. But, it was a scent that I was going to be able to mimic here instead of another. Well she probably could've tried the Rainforest but this was a freaking swamp not a rainforest so that just wasn't going to help her.

"Maybe not but not sure if the reward would be worth hassle and harassment from the scavengers." He commented smoothly. It wasn’t that he was scared of having to chase off others it was that carefully caring it all the way from here to the cove wasn’t that easy. He could have asked for assistance but decided not right now.

Focusing now on @Aphrodite he couldn’t have his mind wandering too far away about the he nodded to her. "Do you know much of the mire and its leader?" it wasn’t to much of an unreasonable question to ask was it?
