His comment created a dark grin on the woman's face. A grin that should scare a lot of lions if they did or didn't know her. Those who knew her might be able to pick a part what she was thinking, and for those that didn't know her well, that would be the end of their story. Well, it's a good thing you don't plan to be disloyal, it wouldn't end well for you. Or her really. She liked @Milano. Had grown fond of him in the months he had joined the Cove and would be hurt if she had to do something drastic or even come to hate him for something he did.

Then she began to look around, even go so far as to start walking through the thicket. This is only part of the forest, my friend. I've been in the Grove and Jungle both of which are not this thick. They weren't. There were different areas that might have a big cluster of trees but none that were as thick as they were here. Let's find somewhere that I can wash this filth off before I grow irritated by the itching. She would rumble. Knowing that the thicket may not be the best of places to try to wash this muck off of her pelt.

Moving through the Thicket he slipped through a rather tight area getting the tuff of his tail stuck. "Well that is good. Maybe I’ll go check out the grove more fully. See what I can find. See if anyone lives around here." Pulling at his tail he heard branches cracking then finally they broke letting go of him. He had heard her words but it was her dark grin he noticed most. He felt uneasy but pushed it away as he had just been teasing about trying to get her to hate him.

"I don’t know maybe I’ll do something drastic like take over the Oasis and then promptly die from heatstroke." The betrayal would not be taking over the enemy but the dying. Laughing again he had no intention on acting on that idea though that desert was too hot for him.

Shifting around a tree into an area that was starting to thin he could hear the sound of running water. "I think it is thinning here. There also might be a stream up ahead. We better hurry and find it before you get angry from itching and mistake me for a snack." He called out.

He seemed to brush off her words and Aphrodite would let it go. She knew he was teasing her about it and even when he spoke about taking the Oasis over and then dying from the heat she would stop and put her rather dirty paw to her chest in a mocking manner and gasp. I would feel a part of me would die. She would state, both teasing and serious. Perhaps she wouldn't really die from it but there was a part of her that would become a hole.

She soon continued onward and would listen to him speak, turning in his direction before soon walking in his direction. Ears twisted on top of her head as she began to hear the stream. She didn't hesitate to follow him and once she felt not only heard the stream but saw it, Aphrodite would quickly submerge her entire body beneath the water, even ducking her head beneath it for a brief moment before lifting it back up and letting out a sigh as she felt some of the dirt come off of her body. I wouldn't mistake you as a snack. You're to big for a snack. She would state after she came up from the water and gave him a wink.

Yea he brushed them off but he didn’t take her words as unserious. He noted them away and filed them under the file of ‘do not piss off @Aphrodite.’ But he was calm about it all. At her dramatic moment with her paw on her chest and words he chuckled with heart. She might be teasing him back but at least she cared enough to do that.

Moving up to the water he only stepped to the edge after she had taken her bath. Going to an area where she was down stream and he was slightly up he lowered his head and took a drink. "You’re right I am not a snack. I am a whole meal.” He wiggled to turn away from her and wiggled his rear in the air. "Just look at this rump roast "

Perhaps that was why Aphrodite got irritated so quickly. She did care, but just didn't know how to properly show it without looking weak. She didn't want anyone to see her as being weak. Regardless, she did care for those who she could trust and @Milano was one of them. But for now, she would continue her bath until she was sure that there was no more mud on her pelt and she was beginning to smell like her original self, minus the Cove but that would come back once she returned.

Coming from the water, Aphrodite would glance over to Milano and laugh at him shaking his butt in her direction. Shaking her head she would move closer to him and begin to shake off any extra water onto him. Let's go rump roast. She would tease him before moving away from him and finding higher ground. She didn't want to stay here any longer and didn't want to start smelling like it again. Unless you have better plans?

Laughing still as she called him rump roast as well he took a step away as he took a shower thanks to her shaking. This place wasn’t so bad. Well only because @Aphrodite was there. Trying to track that zebra herd through it had failed for when he met up with her he had long forgotten what he had been doing in the first place. "I know I came here doing something but nope. That herd is long gone." Commenting on rather or not he had something better to do. Shrugging as well he started to walk heading out of that place.

He made a comment about the herd and Aphrodite would chuckle at him. He had at least tried to track them before he got distracted by her shitty smell. So she could give him props on that but now, it was time for them to leave before she started smelling like the thicket again. So when he had begun to leave, then she followed shortly after him, being careful to make sure she didn't get anymore of the muck on her pelt. She was tired of smelling like the swamps, she wanted to smell like the Cove again. She wanted to smell like home, like family.
