What will this mean for the balance of Amaryllis? A witch hunt has started by Luther and Miaran which seems to be turning things on an island that is full of magic.

August 25, 2024 War broke out in the challenge for the Lagoon after Cassius tries to take the Lagoon from Isla. The Cove remains with Miaran. The leadership of the Mire switches from Sigrún hold to Rike when Luther comes back to take his birthland back. Elephants push into the Rainforest and push out the lions there. Soon after Lucifer lays claim to his birthland and takes over the Rainforest.

March 19, 2024 A momentary lull has overtaken the lands of Amaryllis as its inhabitants attempt to find their footing and rebuild after a string of challenges. How long it will last, however, nobody can be quite sure.

February 11, 2024 The Mire has fallen from the Stärke family and is now held by Luther Rike. The change has stirred but the fighting nature of those on the island. The Brook finds a new leader with Icefang and Isla takes over the Lagoon after a storm pushes out the old leader. Reti finds himself the leader of the Hollows after Alexander is hurt. The Oasis finds a new leader in Léonie who is soon tested by Harou.

January 8, 2024 The snow has finally begun to melt anew, which means that the world is slowly returning to the much-anticipated summer season. With the various holiday activities and the other jests put on by Nafasi also coming to a close, it is safe to say that winter is finally over.

December 5th, 2023 Nafasi had pulled a cruel trick and has sent Amaryllis back into a renewed winter season! But it's not all bad, because the lands will also see a handful of holiday-themed events popping up as a result. To make things more interesting, a wayward trio of travlers have also arrived and are facilitating a mass competition between the prides, bands, and rogues -- formally dubbed the Amaryllis Winter Games.

December 2nd, 2023 The spring air brings forth a number of pride challenges. A familiar challenger for the Cove and the Oasis arrive to try to earn what they want. The new leader of the Lagoon is tested in battle as well. What changes will come from the challenges? Who will remain standing and who will find their world turned upside down?

November 27th, 2023 In a challenge between mother and daughter, the leadership of Wolfbron Bluff changes for the first time in 5 IC years.

November 22nd, 2023 Two death matches, one resurrection, and an almost-war later, the lands find themselves in a constant state of turmoil and calamity. Families have been torn apart and endless blood has been spilt; but how is it all going to end?

November 3rd, 2023 The lands stir violently as a death match rages on between Aeistrios Saxe and Morrigan Greyflood. Observers spill into the pit in droves to witness what will no doubt be a historic battle -- and it is clear that this familial fued is far from over, no matter who wins and who dies.

October 12th, 2023 With winter comes the surge of more pride challenges; Ludivine challenges Ryker for Firnen Rainforest and is victorious in her endeavors, meanwhile an outcropping of maims breaks out on the sidelines. In a shocking turn of events Luther returns to challenge Bruno for Ecrosia Mire, will the former heir prove victorious or has Bruno got what it takes to keep his brother's ambitions at bay? This has undoubtedly shaken things up as Bruno declares war against Andal Oasis and Allies in the process!

Summer
Summer is in full swing now, with clear skies, warm nights, and ample sunshine! As such, the deserts begin to grow dry, the shores remain a blissful escape, the north is spared with cooling winds, and humidity continues to rise in the jungle. Rain and storms are long forgotten troubles by now, which is both a virtue and a vice during the heat of the season.

It's too quiet here.
No hum of insects, no rustling of leaves, nothing to indicate life has ever thrived here. It's scarier, then, when Ianthe does hear something. The still silence was expected, but the sudden chattering of voices nearly makes her jump out of her skin. Her first instinct is to look towards the bone pile on her left, as if the spirits of some antelope are going to be having a little late-night chat. They're not, of course, but just past the skeletons, Ianthe can see the dark shapes of lions shifting in the distance.
Ianthe's small paws tread lightly across the dusty ground, trying not to step on a stray fragment of antler or tooth as she approaches them. It's a hunting party, of course, which shouldn't surprise her but she hadn't anticipated prey to be wandering here of all places. The adrenaline of her initial scare is still thrumming through her blood, Ianthe crouches down with the rest of the group and waits in anticipation.

In passing, she had heard someone say something about a plant it made her attention shift from herself — for once — to what they had been saying. Larkspur, they had mentioned. It had some pretty funny reactions and she was really interested in seeing it for herself. She just needed to get her own, right? Asking someone meant that they might tell her n o and she couldn't be responsible for her reaction to the word. If she got it herself though everything would be fine, no? The girl's footsteps were light, prancing, as she hummed a song to herself. Purple and white and she needed seeds. That's what they'd said right? Well, she'd find out when she collected it. For a moment she realizes that she's not entirely alone in this desolate space, the scent of old death in the air almost a caress, and a small amount of curiosity makes her pay a little bit more attention to the gathering of lions before she turns her attention back to her search. Back focused Rohais squints her eyes slightly as she peers at the area around her before her eyes settle on what she thinks is what she's looking for. The purple and white plant is pretty on the outside but Death wraps long fingers around it like a Trojan horse. Rohais peers at the plant, looking at it from different angles suspiciously, before she moves to cut it from the stem with her small nails. It wouldn't do to put it in her mouth after hearing that it was deadly. Still, she wanted to get as many as she could so she could have enough to test and still left over if it did what she assumed it did. What kind of person would she be if she simply went off of another's words? Seeing was believing, after all.

Yearling, No Bonus

His scent covered in the fragrant plants he had rolled in, the young scout was exploring a far more interesting place. Skulls, and skeletons lined the boneyard, making his eyes widen in excitement and a twinge of nervousness penetrate to his spine. What a cool place?! Did things just come here to die, or were carcasses dragged here when prides had eaten all they could?

When he notes that a hunting group is gathering, he approaches it- seeing @Juliette, he moves through the crowd to approach the female, with a soft chuff of greeting- and then he sees @Birdie! "Hey Birdie!" He whisper shouts, waving his tail at his sister like a good brother - total dork.

Boneyard, Nov Y10




Figuring out her place in this land at the moment was something Ambrosia was struggling to figure out. She was a bit lost without her family, and having really not reconnected with them the abyss yearling didn't really know what to do at this point in time. She had been randomly stumbling across other lions gathering together in a big group for a hunt.

Giving a polite nod to the lions around her, Ambrosia got into position to help with the hunt. She wasn't quite sure who all was leading the hunt, but she would be here to help in whatever way she could. This boneyard place was a little creepy though, if she had to admit to herself. She didn't want to stay here much longer than she had to.

It had been far too long since Halimede had been to the bone yard. She'd never quite had a good reason to go, but she'd quickly found that sharpening her claws on the tusks of elephant skulls had been particularly good at creating the sharpest, finest point. Delight lived in her expression, rummaging around the piles of bones to snuff out scraps and leftover marrow, which had done wonders to sharpen her claws. She'd even gone so far as smashing the bones against rocks, utilizing her strength, greedy for whatever goods she could find within them. The only thing that distracted her then was a call for a hunt, and quickly did she abandon her search in favor of it.

The bones had made it particularly difficult for Aurelia to be able to hunt, and thus, she was mostly remanded to the sidelines. Donkeys were wild and stubborn animals, and its fraying hooves would pose a problem to she who struggled to dodge and weave, who had limited mobility. Thus, when they descended upon the beast, she'd lingered behind. It were only when it was felled did she venture up, her gaze casting down upon the ailing beast; and she prayed, willing it to pass into the next life as quietly, and peacefully, as possible. So too did she pray for their continued success into the coming winter; not only to see their bellies full, but that of their prides and their families as well.

Donkeys were playful, but when they were being hunted, that playfulness became dangerous. Halimede had to dodge and weave in order to escape its kicking hooves and braying bites. Thankfully, she were small and deft, even with her injured eye. Halimede had adapted well to her injury, however bittersweet it felt; but there was nothing but delight as they finally brought the beast down. Greedy as she was, Halimede attempted to steal perhaps a bit more than she should've, but like Violarum had instructed her, she needed to grow nice and plump. Clawing away at its flesh too helped maintain her claws. Win-win.

Of course it were a loud and braying beast. Already he could hear the collective crunching of bones underfoot as they chased after it, and its own boisterous deathrattles had caused quite a commotion. Other herds lingering in the trees had already alarmed any other prey nearby, and flocks of birds quickly took to the sky. Kvare's defensive practice helped him dodge the kicking hooves, but he could barely strike the beast between its wily movements and the mass of other lions beside him. Eventually, he fell back, and allowed others to finish what all they'd started; and, like any greedy man would, ventured forward to get himself a delectable piece.

It were perhaps a good thing she didn't attempt to join on this hunt. The donkey had proven a worthy opponent, despite all its adversaries, and had done a number on some of the lions with its angry, thrashing hooves. Melusina worked quickly to prepare as many herbs as she could, and by the time they'd all finished, she quickly called out for any who might need some patching up after such a brutal endeavor. Perhaps, if she were helpful nice and they were kind, she could get a few scraps as well.
