It was time.

The offspring had been born. The bed between her and Dieudonne family was consummated. She had done her part, had she not? She had told no one of her plans. None of the pride, except for the loose comments here and there that she would challenge one day. She hadn’t even fully decided on now, until she just felt a strange click in her mind… the sudden need for battle, the thirst for blood.

With specific instructions to stay, snarled at her children- she had left the den, heading back for her small poison cache. She took her time, choosing the perfect poison, and carrying it wrapped in a broad leaf, in her mouth- she moved to exit the Bluffs- traveling across the land.

She left the pride silently- stalking forward across the land, towards the pride-lands that held the one enemy she knew of… the Miroslav’s.

The Oasis was not her pick for land, but she knew that a former Bluff’s member had once held it and to hold it again… would that not extend their power across the lands? Would not this move help the power of the Bluffs and their allies to extend?

Before she arrived, she stopped, carefully applying the poison to her claws- her secret weapon against the King or Queen there- whomever sought to meet her in battle. She didn’t actually know them, and it wasn’t about them.

It was about taking a throne and beginning her own kingdom.

At the border, Helah stands silently, before letting out a commanding roar for the ruler of the land- to come and defend the territory and on this dusk- if the King wished to retain it, he would have to defeat her. Simple enough, no?

Her claws freshly poisoned, she let them retreat into her paws- as she brazenly stood directly on the border and waited. Helah would prefer to swagger about and talk a bit first, but it was really up to the current ruler.

She did hope, deep inside, that this challenge became a spectacle- a war like so many. She thought she earned no less of a herald, a moment to show the world here- what she would do. Win or lose today, she would eventually hold a kingdom, and it would become something that would cause the earth to shudder in its wake.

The call rang out and Amandil Casales ventured forth to watch. A moth to open flame,ge was drawn. Why? Because his entire goal was to find his family...reunite with siblings, parents and extended alike. What better way to do so than to sit spectator at a prides challenge? The young lion found himself a place, not recognizing the multi-hued challenger.. and also noting he was among the first to arrive.

The large, grey form found a rock upon which to sit and he settled, ensuring he wasnt passing over any borders, and ensuring that he was being as careful of the unspoken laws of these lands. Quite truthfully he cared not one whit who came to rule the Oasis . He was here for purely selfish reasons. Things like this brought all manner of creature from the woodwork.

Whopper. Whopper never changes.

Dusk descended with a slog as the greasy female lounged near the waterhole, muzzle dripping with fresh water and the chunky remains of a three day old aardwolf. Sleep seemed difficult especially with her age and compounded fears. And, to justify her anxiety, a roar of challenge came from the borders. Female.

Had Walpurgis ruled a pride once? And had a joint rulership of lesbians not been her first pride experience outside of her homeland? Sure. And yet - "You not a king!" she hissed, incensed at the breaking of traditions and all the other things, mostly the flagrant disregard for trying to perturb the monotony of her life. After yelling she remained standing, crooked tail lashing, dimly aware that this enemy's fight was for royalty to deal with but she could slash at lower trash bags all she wanted.

(Keligan is on the outskirts currently. Pre-plotted things will be happening between Caltariel and Keligan, as a request) The lion had slept at the Pit the night before, just wanting to get away and free his mind. He wasn't mad at Sunder but he still felt the fury towards Kvare for what he did. Even though he promised he wouldn't punish the lion for sleeping with his wife, he was still pissed that he forgot that very important information about being brother to Morrigan. As a call rang out near the Oasis, Keligan made his way to a standing position and shook himself off. How interesting. The caller also sounded familiar. Flicking his ears, the Caladan High Sovereign made his way west towards the Desert pride. Not far from him was the figure of Helah, recognizing her unique look. Smirking, he inwardly hoped that the Bluffs Heiress would win this day. But staying on the "OUTSIDE" of the borders, periwinkle gaze looked around for his sweet Dove. He wanted this opportunity to be able to take her from the Oasis' grasp and sweep her off her feet (so to speak). If Helah became Queen, it would be an honorable day. Cheering on the Bluffs lioness inwardly, he waited for her to show. (DOUBLE BOOST ACTIVATED FOR EVERYONE!) @Caltáriel

faustine ventured out of the bluffs, right behind the heiress only to figure out she wasn't going for a walk. instead, faustine found herself for the first time in the hot and arid desert. the sands underneath were coarse and the air was dry and humid. her fur felt sticky and a wave of discomfort made the princess's skin crawl. she didn't know why helah wanted to be here, but as she wandered further in, she realized the old lady was planning on something fun.

vaguely faustine remembered her mother telling her and her siblings the laws of the pridelands. therefore, faustine stopped before the border and watched as helah called for the pride leader. faustine's red eyes glimmered with anticipation as she settled down, half-poised for her own battle if one was to come.

No regrets

and yet, every regret

Unable to rest, mind racing far too much, the pale lioness had been roaming the lands, wandering where she pleased, noting various territory lines when they became apparent. Without much of a destination in mind, the slender lioness wandered until she'd heard the call.

A smirk tugged at the corner of her lips as she set off to a steady lope, changing her direction ever so slightly to move along the Oasis' borders once she came upon them. Her gaze noted the presence of @Keligan not too far from her and she trotted towards him, briefly nudging her head against his side in greeting before finding herself a rock to settle on, just outside the borders.

Emerald gaze wandered over those who decided to already make an appearance, tail slowly moving behind her. Though she was on guard, ready for anything, her attention was on @Helah for the time being. She hadn't met her yet, but she was intrigued by the female's unique appearance. This would prove an interesting challenge and she for one, wanted to see Helah win.

Aside from the issues on her own prides borders, things in other parts of Amaryllis seemed to have been quiet since the arrival of her children, which meant she had been deprived of the opportunity to go and sit on the sidelines to watch the drama unfold. Thankfully, things here never seemed to stay quiet for long, and when the call rang out for a challenge at the Oasis, the Heiress was thrilled she happened to be close enough to not miss out on the start of the action. She was quick to abandon her hunt for desert poisons, diverting her course to Andal’s borders. There were already a few who had started to gather, including her newest ally from the Cove. Unlike the last time someone had come for this particular pride, this challenge was at the borders. Another blessing for her, that she was able to situate herself several yards back from the invisible line that separated the neutral lands from claimed ones. She was aware that the Cove were on rocky terms with this particular pride, so she was extra careful to put good distance between herself and the border. As far as she was aware, there was not yet any tension between Andal and the Plains yet and she would like to keep it that way. At least until she knew the outcome here today. Note- Renfri is outside the borders

The barbarian had spent the night prior in the boneyard within the badlands. Morbid curiosity had drawn the Russian woman forward to collect little trinkets to decorate her den, and she was up well past the time she should had slumbered doing so. With only a few hours of restless sleep under her belt, the loud call of another zapped Milla awake. Within moments, she found herself roused enough to begin trekking towards the direction of the summons. It seemed she was not the only one, as the closer she got to the origin, the more the mingled smell of others coming before her filtered into her nostrils.

The rogue pauses momentarily before beginning to travel again, apricot eyes scanning the territory carefully in case of ambush. Nothing jumps out to scare her though and for that, she's thankful. A repeat of her childhood trauma would NOT be appreciated right now, thanks. It's clear where the commotion has come from when she finally arrives, an intermingling of strangers standing back from a mottled black and white woman like herself standing at the forefront. Her lips pressed firmly together in nonchalance before she moved to stand by herself off the the side, distanced quite a ways from the other folks around. Maybe she'd learn a thing or two about this valley's culture... or at least have something entertaining to watch. For now, her eyes remained locked on the target at the front of it all.

This place was new to her, the politics unknown, and while she preferred to stay out of things of that nature, it didn’t mean she could afford to remain ignorant. She had pledged to fight for the Cove, and now with the title of lead fighter she knew it was even more important to have a better understanding of the relations with other prides. Of course she knew Andal was to be treated with caution, she had been warned of as much. So when a challenge rang out at the borders of the desert pride, she didn’t hesitate to march off to go and bear witness. @Keligan and @Lagertha were already there, so she made her way over to where they stood, placing herself a few paces behind them, a good distance between herself and the border. Still close enough to get a good view of the action, and for her presence here to be known to her pride mates. She wouldn’t jump in to interfere in anything they got into, sure they could handle themselves, but if they needed her for any reason, they need only give the command, and she would do whatever was expected of her.

The dark imp emerged from the shadows of her den, muzzle wrinkled with the snarl she wore. She’d known that their enemies would eventually come for them, and that day — evening — had finally come. Thus, the Heiress emerged and found not only the challenger, but the beginning of a crowd. However, it was the one that shared the challenger’s scent that she focused on: Faustine.

Her spotted ears rolled back and eyes narrowed, Léonie sprang forward, unsheathed claws kicking sand behind her as she charged directly towards the little cannibal. The crowd was a nuisance but she was an enemy. And so, the Miroslav rushed at her, lunging forward — leading with her right shoulder — to try and strike her shoulder into her enemy’s nose and the teeth below, in an attempt to damage them. Léonie cared not for her age — she was a monster in the making, and the Heiress would defang her.
