Her mother's practiced movements in the den stirred her awake, and yellow eyes watched in the darkness as preparations were made. Jaws parted in a silent question of where, but it never fell from her lips. Before @Helah had departed from their den, she turned and snarled a command - a simple stay.

Too bad it fell on deaf ears.

As soon as Helah left their sight, they had begun to stir. Silvine climbing over her siblings to reach the edge of the cave's mouth, to look beyond the mountainous terrain they called home, and to try and visually map out the trail that their mother had taken. It was simple enough to follow, but by the time she had gotten to the main part of the Bluffs anyway, she had noted others leaving its borders and heading in the direction her mother had gone. So, naturally, she just followed them!

Most had stopped along the border, not daring to cross. Her eyes gleamed as they rested upon Helah. The excited murmurs of those around her told her something big was about to happen, but being as young as she was, she couldn't say what it was...

Why were these challenges always messy when she arrived? The young lioness carefully gauged what was going on from well outside the borders but she made the heavy attempt to hide herself away. Covering herself in as much of the sand as she possibly could so that she could drown out her Brook scent, avoiding onlooking eyes and their trained senses.

The last thing she needed was to get pointed out in a crowd that wasn't meant for her. She was here to spectate and to help, if it were possible. Watching as a white and blanket painted woman challenged for the Oasis, calling for its leader -- she knew his name, Scorpius Miroslav, but nothing more than that. Knew his heiress, Leonie and his Sovereign, Sedona.

Only another fight took way first, a lioness (known only to be the Heiress herself) called upon the fangs of a young child no older than nine months. Eyes squinted, not understanding why this child was deserving of such a punishment but onlooking as someone else stepped in. An older lioness dappled in white spots and smelling of the bluffs, Amara - High Sovereign of said pride, flew in to protect the child with a resounding and echoing roar.

Warning the attacker to stay away from the cub and to "fight fair" which Analia agreed with entirely. The dark woman was attempting to sink her teeth into the Heiress' shoulder while using her weight to try and knock her a bit. No doubt would the teeth marks need tending to but Analia was not quite sure she was the woman for the job. After all, Vermeda wasn't on great ground with either pride to her knowledge.

She is has not seen a challenge on another soil, a challenge that was of others- she hasn't even explored beyond her own pride mates, to meet those from other lands. Yet, she hears the call, and she moves towards it like a moth drawn to flame. As she arrives, she finds that a crowd had gathered. She makes sure to stay on the neutral side of the invisible line, her nose wrinkling at the scent of the desert lions, as she watches- waiting to see what will occur, and what she can learn from this. Between wounds, and fighting moves, she knows she is likely to learn a lot- as long as she pays attention. She comes to sit near her father, not speaking to him, just silently watching the crowd- watching the one fight as it begins, shocked by the ferocity, but she will watch, and she will learn.

Just as was expected of her, Laerra had covered her scent in everything possibly to avoid detection in the challenge. Letting herself be camouflaged in the sands of the Oasis so that she could watch and learn, be captivated by the challenges that her pridemates had found. Jealous of their ambitions while still weighed down by her own inexperience and age that limited her reach. @Aideen of course had already shown herself alongside the presence of @Louve and @Amara. Briefly she wondered where her mother might be in all of this madness but had yet to lay a solid eye on the familiar, striped woman. Alas, Laerra was content to simply watch and analyze -- prepared to stick herself somewhere if need be.

He wouldn't ever miss the chance to cheer @Helah on. He moved towards her call, to the commotion, fights already taking place. He follows alongside @Renfri , sticking with her outside of the borders as he takes in the vast scene. Limbs settle him down beside her, bathing underneath the partial sun above. @Amara seemed to have her hands full, intercepting the fight to one of her own young ones - and battling the Andal woman. He liked to watch it. He notices @Alaric as well as @Keligan and @Tiamat and some others, but doesn't bother to move from his spot of where he watched the entertainment happen.

.It wasn't the fray that attracted him this time; it was the overwhelming scent of the Bluffs on the wind outside of the Bluffs, as they all traipsed towards the desert. Poltergeist hung back, leaving a couple miles in between them so that he could not be pegged for trailing them - even though he was.

He arrived just a little later than everyone else, and by that time, there was a fight started already. The Bluffs lions hung back, avoidant of crossing the border despite the challenge going on. Were they trying to respect Andal's property now? Even though, they were supportive of Helah snatching it out from under their paws? Poltergeist chuckled, coming out to stand beside a small lioness with an interesting scent (@Io). "Correct me if I'm wrong, but you're one of my brother's, aren't you?" he asked her, though only graced her with his cotton-candy-colored eyes once or twice. His eyes were on the fight; he was so hungry for the drama.

The dark lioness remained next to @Keligan and the rest of Caladan.. listening to the King speak as he mentioned that they would support Wolfbron. She found herself a little nervous as fights began to break out. Blood and fur began to fly, and the female shifted slightly where she sat. She knew that her Mother was a fighter - had been a warrior once upon a time and probably still could - though she doubted the intelligence in starting something these days...

But her? She'd never been a fighter - more of a sneaky type - someone that more or less hid in the background.. Gathering intelligence to bring forward to let others shred things. She really didn't like fighting, she knew HOW - Mother Jewel had made sure she had learned how.. but Galaxia honestly hated the idea of it.

She adjusted again, her twin tails curling around her haunches as she glanced towards the other members of Caladan that came. ""If...you need me to go get help I can do that.."" She wanted to help - to be useful.. but she didn't want to be caught up in the fury of blood and flesh that was bound to be left upon the sands of the Oasis when all was said and done.

The glory of truly not knowing anyone, was going to serve her well today. From the second that the call was placed, Juliette wandered the outlying sandy territory and covered herself in the sand for what felt like at least ten minutes of her time rolling. Rubbing against every oasis-lit tree that she could find that she knew the Oasis members must smell like. Dowsing herself in anything and everything oasis-related in an effort to not only stay hidden, but to smell like an Oasis lion if someone did find her. Not that she had an appropriate alibi at her disposal but she liked to think she was a quick thinker and could react accordingly. Juliette hovered near the borders but stayed outside, hidden in the shade and shadow of a tree and its lesser counterpart which was a very dry bush at its base. The sand and her already sand-colored fur were going to do her well in making her seem like one with the scenery.

While new to the way's of pride life, the laws of crossing borders was universal. Something that was so far engraved into her very existence. However, there was nothing against casually wandering the border in a slow gait. Ember making it look as though she was simply trying to get a good view of the fights. The one that the initial challenger had called as they waited for the one currently crowned as well as the one that another had initiated and was fighting. A lioness of the oasis fighting one in a dark coat -- both entirely unfamiliar to her until she truly saw the dark woman.

Ember stopped in her trail of the pride's border and looked to @Amara -- remembering her from the day when she was young and trying to cover her tracks. A lioness that hadn't sought to claim but instead had taught her to be a little more careful about what she was doing and how to do it better. This alone gave Ember enough gumption to hope that the woman truly slayed in her fight but thanks to both of their resting bitch face syndrome, no one would be able to see her opinions on her face.

the sea does not like to be restrained Revna is not aware of who currently runs the Oasis. She has no reasons to, as she is a prisoner of the Bluffs and has not been able to stay current on pride affairs. She doesn't even know if the Brook is still under Cassandra's leadership. But today @Helah leaves the cubs behind, not bothering to tell Revna that she has, and before long she is calling out a challenge for a pride. Revna at first does not plan on going to witness the event, but as she goes to check on the cubs she notices that at least one of them is missing. Her agreement with Amara is the ticket to her freedom, and it gives her a reason to make sure the children survive with parents who are unable to offer them love. With that agreement at the forefront of her mind, Revna follows the scent of @Silvine, weaving out of Bluffs territory and continuing on until she reaches the border of the Oasis. It does not take her long to spot the coloful girl. She approaches, ignoring whether or not she is trespassing because the cub is her first priority. "Silvine," she hisses, approaching the girl. "What do you think you are doing?" Her tail lashes, ready to scruff the girl and drag her back to the Bluffs if things get too rough here.
