Silken fur in tones of a shadowed solar eclipse did not aid her as she wandered the sand. Weaving in and out of the territory in her quest to covered herself with as much of the Oasis scent as possible, the shadow brushed against trees, rolled in plant life. Anything she could find would have to do to not only cover her own scent but disguise her as one of the Oasis should she be discovered in places she shouldn't be.

Silent steps carried her towards the direction of the call once she was satisfied. With a low rumble, staying outside the borders, the shadow began moving from one dark spot to another, following whatever shade she could find until she hid herself in the shadows of a larger rock, silently observing her surroundings, hidden as if she were nothing more than shadow cast by the huge rock.

The Oasis couldn't get a moment to breathe.

They were still feeling the affects of Cirilla's challenge, and Halimede's maim after her infiltration of Lorien. They were just beginning to talk about waging war on the Plains when the call came out, and Halimede was thankful only that the scent of the woman making the claim was one familiar to her, an ancient and predictable enemy, even if she had never seen her face before. What further complicated it, however, was now her daughters were involved—and even though her wounds and recent events had long distracted Halimede from the way Amara had addressed her last, it hadn't been forgotten.

Thankfully, the woman was engaged in battle. There was an apparent lack, however, of Andal lions. At least compared to the amount of strangers in the crowd.

Heavily scarred though no longer acutely wounded, the half-blinded Halimede weaves her way through the crowd, taking note of her niece engaged in battle with the Bluffs Queen, and Helah standing, waiting for Scorpius' attack. Halimede quickly spotted @Aideen among the gathering group, however, and boldly made her way toward her daughter despite their opposing sides. No matter where she choose to lay her head at night, Aideen was a Miroslav, and it would never stop Halimede from loving and supporting her relentlessly.

Hey, she whispered as she sidled up on her daughter's side, who had long already begun to grow far larger than her sandcat mother, We can pretend to fight if you need an excuse. I am very convincing. Her tone was teasing, completely ignoring her maimed eye, which was certain to draw the gazes of those who'd seen her before, fully-sighted.

It was bound to happen. Alexander expected an intruder on the Hollow's doorstep any day now as well. All he could do was try to support the Oasis the best he could, without jeopardizing his own family in the meantime. The Savante had been through many wars already, and there would be more in the future, no doubt. It was inevitable, but at least the beast would try to delay it for as long as possible.

He spots @Louve and does not hesitate to approach the Dieudonne Matriarch. @Apollinaire's presence is not missed. There is a certain uneasiness around the male, but he could only hope that Louve had told all those she knew about the ceasefire already. A dip of his head is offered. Nostrils flare, keeping an eye out on his surroundings before he finally speaks, loud enough for everyone in the area to hear - including those from his own pride and family should they arrive, "We will respect the ceasefire. If anyone should ignore it and attack, then do what you must to right the wrong - aside from death." With that said, he would move to sit nearby - as odd as it was.

He did not like Apollinaire, and the Dieudonne were a large, possibly cannibalistic family. Eventually things would culminate and perhaps they would become enemies again one day, today, however - Alexander would defend the agreement made - to an extent. "If an Oasis member is wrongfully attacked, we may step in to defend them. They are our allies, even if they are your enemies." It was a fickle, delicate situation - this...truce.

The Savante were still rebuilding, so they did not have the legacy and stability of Wolfbron and the Dieudonne as a whole - Alexander desperately wanted that for his family. As such, no one would be spared if they stood in the way of their survival - of this dream he had for them.

Blue eyes turn to meet Louve's gaze, trying to gauge her reaction.

*"Cousin," the male said upon walking towards his cousin Alexander. someone he hasn't seen in many moons, if not more.

He eyed those nearby, Louve and @Apollinaire, both complete strangers to the young Savante, who had only arrived in these lands not too long ago. Not enough to be aware of everything around the Savante that had already established themselves in these lands. And he couldn't deny he wanted to know—to learn what his relatives had come across, what stories or interesting tales were there. But knowing the urgent situation that they were facing right now, he decided to keep his question for later. "Greetings,  Constantine Savante." He introduced himself to the crowd before taking a seat near his cousin Alexander, of course respecting the borders and not tresspasiing. He watched the two fights with great interest.

Leila had all the right to stand tall at a challenge like this, but as she follows after her pride mates, she finds herself hesitant to be back here so soon. Dragos had not lived here in quite some time, but she was not so ready to see the place near to where they had found such peace dashed by conflict. Selfishly, the tigress cares more about that fond memory than the political struggles that came at these sort of things. How long had it been since she’d even been to a challenge? Leila enjoyed the spectacle of it all; especially when there was not that much personally at stake for her.

She would have gone to Louve’s side, but she arrives to see one of her daughter’s attacked and their High Sovereign have to step in to protect her. Leila’s ears flatten uncertainly and she creeps in on soft paws to find a meagre bit of stony shelter, hoping the harsh orange of this climate would help her blend in.

From here she settles to watch, curious but wary.

Valerian remembered well, the last challenge for the Oasis. It had been bitterly fought and many tensions spun from it. This time, it is not his home under attack but his gut - at first - lurches like it is. He follows his father.

He comes to loom close to the gathering Savante, jaw tense and brow furrowed. We will respect the ceasefire. Says @Alexander ♔ and Valerian understands; but it doesn’t make his careful gaze any less suspicious upon the Bluffs members. He would not defy his father’s orders, but he would not hesitate to protect himself or his own.

So he stands, with practised tension, to stand guard and watch the true battle between Scorpius and the Bluffs woman, unfold.

Now all settled and comfy to watch the fight unfold, Io wondered what it felt like to fight for one's desires. What did it feel to bleed in order to get what one wanted? Was it worth the pain? Was it worth the suffering? Perhaps it did but she didn't align with such a point of view, well as someone who was born small and lacking an affinity for art, she found it easy to judge, to disagree as she had her own set of abilities. What she found better at doing like hunting and learning fast, in having a brain before muscles to solve problems.

As she watched, her eyes caught the other lions that were also gathering outside of the pride lands to observe safely. But between those that came, one, in particular, caught her attention. His half-curly mane reminded him of the one her father had. His slitter eyes also gave her hints and flashbacks of her elusive father. He came to her and asked her. The question soon answered her many questions. So who now stood by her side was her uncle? Her newly found uncle. "Greetings, Yes he is indeed my father. I am Io Black, it is nice to meet you, uncle," She said smiling a bit while she too had her eyes set on the challenge. "I haven't seen him in a while now, how is he and the family doing? After joining my current pride I had lost all connections with him." She mentioned sighing a bit.

Isla had been around the badlands when a call echoed in the air. Although faint, she could tell it seemed as though it was coming from the direction of the Oasis pride. Deserting her solo training session of sharpening her claws on thick red rock and clay, the Heiress would pick up her step, galloping forward and across the sands. It was a bit of a task, the mountain woman more used to and suited for rough, cold and rocky terrain, and even though she had been born within a pride that was surrounded by sand it didn't mean she had grown accustomed to it.

Despite the shifting sand underneath her paws, Isla made it to the Oasis' border soon enough. Mismatched eyes took in the crowd, the majority (if not all) were keeping themselves on the other neutral side of the pride's border. They then shifted toward a fight at hand, noticing it was between Andal's Heiress and the Bluff's own High Sovereign. Brow rises slightly at this site, wondering what had caused for the two to go after each other so brutally, but as she padded onward - making sure she stayed outside of the border - her nose would twitch before nostrils flared.

The wildcat would glance around, wasting no time in finding her newly announced lover. It wasn't hard to spot the colossal red and white swirled fur and luscious white mane, and after she sucked in a deep breath she would move in his direction. Isla aimed to come at his free side, attempting to give him an affectionate bump to his shoulder with her nose before straightening herself back up. "Why do those two fight?" She speaks softly but not soft enough to where other's wouldn't be able to hear her. While she waited eyes flickered back toward the fight, tail flicking behind her and absently brushing against the Hollow King.

It seemed more often than not that pride challenges were all the rave around here. Considering Nesta didn't have anything better to do with her time she would casually make her way from the Hollows and towards the Oasis. She was in no rush really, not when it didn't involve her or her family. She was vaguely aware of the tensions between all of the prides but again, she didn't concern herself with such matters. She was attending tonight's festivities purely for her own entertainment. Nesta had no intentions of wanting to be found and so she did her best to remain towards the back of those gathered outside the Oasis borders. She could catch a brief glimpse of @Alexander ♔ and @Valerian in the crowd but Nesta would move off to the left, taking a spot among sparse foliage to lower herself among the shrubbery. That fiery gaze was focused on @Helah as she waited to see how the woman would fend for herself in the throws of battle. Surely it would be quite the show, already there was a big turnout and the defender hadn't even shown up yet.

Initially she had planned on staying with the cubs when the call had rang out, but she couldn't ignore the need to see what would happen, or the call to defend her family, the calico gold lioness crept out after her husband had already left. It did not take her long to arrive at the edge of Andal, her eyes scan the area and she swallows, her slender, petite frame feels like a beacon with her bright colors.

Her tail would flick , tense and lashing around her thighs and hindquarters, she was not much of a fighter but she wanted to be, she wanted to help defend her pride, not hide back at the den, worrying about her family. Though she didn't think about the fact that this would cause Tripfire to worry if he saw her there.
