His bright red eyes trails the lands ahead of him, scouting. Cliffs and mountainous ranges, lots of clouds and a bright, hungry sun that is desperate to shine through them. Harou is hungry, ravenous. He snarls into the daylight, feeling the sunlight settle hotly against his flesh. Tendrils of his mane whips against the wind, the heat of his snarl echoing throughout the atmosphere as he summons for other hunters nearby. Blood will coat the earth, blood and flesh - lots of it. He is ready to prowl forward, to drop his physique along the earth like a great stalking beast seeking out tender prey.

A hungry snarl reaches Hexa's ears. Her ruby orbs narrowed at the sound, and she couldn't help but jog toward the sound. The sun at the moment was hot and annoying, and she wanted to get things over with quickly. She found herself approaching a tall man with red eyes, similar to hers. She dipped her head in a quiet greeting toward him. She could tell simply by the look on his face that he was hungry. She offered a small smile, a friendly gesture. She meant no harm, in fact, she was going to help him. Her long claws scratched at the dirt underneath her, awaiting more hunters and huntresses to appear.

The call is unmistakably leonine, fierce and clear through the warm mountain peaks. Summer had brought this usually barran place to life with a wash of grasses, lichens, and other plentiful things the many stoic creatures roaming the mountainous regions liked to nibble on. Leila had naturally gravitated to here with the herds that grazed the valleys, and knew immediately what the cry was for once she heard it.

With careful paws she picked her way up from the valley, spying a merle lion and a lioness whose pelt she couldn't define in a singular tone. Could one be a good hunter with such bold patterning? Perhaps she was a great sprinter, able to wear down the beasts they fed upon. Leila offered a chuff of greeting as she sidled up to the two, tail flicking by her heels and eyes keen on the horizon - looking for signs of a target.

it is stupid, to follow him up here. and yet —

she trails after him like a shadow, like a wraith. quietly dogging his steps, the little wolf turns the table upon @Harou ♔. she is hardly a typical predator, but she has claws, does she not? and teeth in her mouth besides. the hunted turned hunter, a nonsense turn of phrase that becomes all too literal. even from here she can see the strong cut of his shoulders and she knows his intentions — bjorn was hungry, always hungry, and the brothers were slaves to it. she, too, had an appetite even if hers was never whetted in mixed company.

silently she moves closer still, careful of where she places her paws. the peak was treacherous even here with mild weather. more than that, she cannot help but notice the flowers and plants they pass. harou might not care but she does; the little satchel she wears around her neck feels heavy as she passes by the native flora without pausing to sample. there will be time for that, after; for now, she moves close enough to join them, ready for the hunt. she is not the only one who's found the beast here, and she glances to the other two woman in kind — a small, barely-there flash of a smile before looking towards their dinner.

Hunting is his favourite pastime. Amaroq has not been the same ever since Avaneira's death, but hunting and fighting takes his mind away from things. It pulls him from his depression and distracts him from the pain. He stands now, before this group of hunters, eager to assist them. He wants to feel the blood coat his throat and his lips saturated in its coppery essence. Sunlight washes the lone soldier's crimson flesh as he stands before the light, the warmth ebbing against his skin feeling almost holy. His lips peels back over long, sharp fangs as a dark smirk curls his features; the air is ripe with the scent of prey, and he revels in its visceral promise. The day is bright, the winds were hushed, sweeping their leonine scents away, a perfect weather to begin hunting.

Wandering quietly through the colder temperatures of the peak, it was a lot easier to see things up here than she had previously believed. Being higher, she could see what was below and if she thought she saw something higher, she would just have to find a way up and hope she could find her way to whatever she saw. A nice challenge and one that had led her right to some wild mango. Carina took quite a few investigating it; taking a few licks at it and waiting to see if anything substantial happened but nothing.

The leaves were droopy and elongated, which might prove useful for things like wound dressing (so she thought) so it might be something worth grabbing. Though, once she moved with her nose inward to take a test a hunt was afoot. Carina's brows furrowed as she could taste the sweetness of the mango even just being a few centimeters breadth from her canines scratching its surface.

With a huff and a nod, she figured she would come back to it and figure something else out. Leaving it behind and following the trail of someone she came across several that had gathered. None that she immediately recognize and certainly none of her own pride, but she would assist regardless.

Things in this land had so far been - interesting. Moving away from where she had been she entered a new area to see a group banding together for a hunt and out of instinct she got low. Stalking forward to join the hunting party she took in their scents. Not really sure how this would play out but confident enough in her skills as a huntress. Not sure if she had once known anyone here or not she kept quiet and just looked for the signal of the start of the hunt as her eyes scanned the area for the prey. Hopefully the one leading this hunt had picked something good.

Hunger curls like a fist in her stomach. It rakes like claws along her sides. So she steps down from the ledge she has been resting upon. She leaves the flowers she has been studying yet picks up the ones which had been drying beneath the waning autumn sun. The ones she heard might have healing properties. Yet she is far from a skilled medic and her knowledge is slim.

Eve is only a few steps forward when she hears @Harou ♔ 's roar. It is a familiar sound and it echoes like the emptiness of her own stomach. She follows, feeling the adrenaline begin to infuse her blood in anticipation.

The hungry gather and Eve is within their midst. She is ready, for once.

Quiet and still becoming, she moved along the outer ridges of the Peak and explored to her heart's content. Pleased with the taste of the air on her back and the breath to her front, paws slipping quietly along the foliage as she made nary a sound. The peak was crawling with a gentle breeze and the paths here seemed a little less worn that it had last month.

Fewer lions taking a travel up so high up where the air was a little thinner and the cold a little colder; ember relished in the idea. Being cold meant being alive; something that she had never quite forgotten. So wandering mountains or hanging out to the northeast had become something of a habit. A habit that one such lion had encouraged in her unknowingly.

That one such lion had their scent plastered all the way across the path she had now crossed. Leaving her to wander the same footpath that @Harou ♔ had taken until she spotted his dark and light figure ahead. Several lions gathered close and far around his proximity and she prowled forward with confidence, aiming to be within his eye sight and lifting her brows just for a second as a nod to a hello. She might have gotten closer but being around several lions within close proximity almost always made her feel feral.

1 year, no bonus

he’s no stranger to the cliffs of the peak. this terrain is easy for him to traverse, but still he takes care — as much care as a boy unaccustomed to danger could be. hauling himself up and down the cliffs until his sides heave and muscles burn, he likes to think this workout will add to his growing bulk — he’ll have to flex in the mirror, later, to double check. keeping his claws unsheathed, virgil heads towards the call that rings out — letting them scrap along the mountainous path as he investigates. oh! a hunting party! all the way up here! this was an opportunity to hunt, sure, but also an opportunity to get even more #stronk. and maybe impress the ladies — wink wink. settling in, virgil shoots a wolfish grin to any who look his way, and prepares himself — happy to be here and apart of things.
