He would call, the man whom had made art with the little star. And she, eager to spill more crimson upon the earth, would answer. Eagerly, rose quartz paws carried her towards the peak, over hurting slate and crumbled rock, around various hardy low growing shrubs. Her mind swirled, thinking of the warm iron liquid spilling beneath her claws. It's will be beautiful. the voice within herself whispered, her red ear flicking as if a fly flew too close.

Red eyes would halt, for a moment, stopping to take notice of a clear stream that broke the path upwards towards where the pale lion called. At the bottom, perfectly smooth white stones rested, bringing her to think how beautiful they would be to make art with. She took note, before meeting with the others that gathered, her claws itching to spill blood.

He's pelting up the mountain, his breath coming in sharp, painful intakes. The air is thinner here, and if he pushes himself too hard, he imagines he might just faint, never an exciting prospect on terrain as treacherous and far up as this one. But he's caught the whiff of prey, and he'll be damned if he turns back now. Cresting the peak, he slows to a steady lope. Others are already gathering, and that's good. That means he's not too late yet. His gaze is inevitably drawn to @Hexa, and his mind reels, eyes blinking copiously in confusion. Oh. Rainbow. He says, expelling the words out in one long breath. She's undoubtedly beautiful, he's just not sure she's entirely real; at least, he's never seen any lions remotely that colorful where he comes from. Suddenly he feels very woozy. Maybe he's pushed himself too hard after all.

down from the freeze he follows. not immediately, leaving enough of a space between him and his brother and the maiden that he can run. stretching his limbs, feeling the burn of muscle, revelling in the way his lungs reach for air.

climbing higher, exchanging pain for strength, slowing only when he comes to join the group.

it is a large group, more than usually answer his brother's summons, and draven wonders if there is a meaning there. "bjorn," he murmured, under his breath as always, "see how many have come for you. bless them with your skills, aid them with your sight and your power." his eyes close briefly and then open, sharpen, ready for the feast to begin.

The high altitude of the peak seems to sap his energy faster than usual, but he still forges on, scaling the mountain at dizzying speeds. His stubby tail lashes out behind him for balance as he goes higher, his ragged breath rising into the air in feathery plumes.

His head swims with exertion when he finally reaches the top, reclining to a sit as he attempts to catch his breath. It doesn't take him long to notice the huge assembly of lions standing nearby, shrouded in an unusual silence.

Almost automatically, he begins to sharpen his claws across the bedrock in preparation for the hunt, and then drops into a crouch, trying to remain as inconspicious as possible as he awaits a signal.

He wasn't sure why he was having such luck running into all these large hunts lately, led by a certain red-eyed lion, but he would not complain about the opportunity to an easy meal. The male's snarl bouncing off of the Peak's cliffs was what alerted him to the gathering. Granted, he had expected to see a pair of lions fighting over land or woman or something else, and he hadn't expected to find a hunting party, but nonetheless, he'll take food over drama any day.

As per usual, when Poltergeist joined the group, he remained further towards the back of it, hoping to not have to do much but run around while the others did the more important and perhaps harder tasks of bringing down whatever they chose to kill on this bright morning.

@Harou ♔ calls and the hungry hounds answer. today they gather under the waning heat of the growing autumn, the sun beating down onto her pale fur - and she luxuriates in it. her steps are languid, body relaxed, as she rolls onto the scene. familiar faces, in some ways, surround the brothers - and there is @Draven once more, bidding help from their many faced god. sheol is caught between grin and grimace to see him so devout and her own head tips down, jaw curling towards her chest in a sly manner. eyes narrow, half-lidded, and her own prayer slides through: let his feet be slow and his aim poor. whiskers twitch with amusement as she prays to their shared god with her own siren's call. to see him fail, fall, would bring at least some joy to the stern-faced maiden. let him know what it is to fail. and she approaches, then, the barely-spoken words cast out to the autumnal wind, feeling quite like the cat who caught the canary. she finds her place at @Faolán's side, staying true to her promise not to part, even if she haunts the steps of the heart she'd like to avoid.

Rarely does he grace these lands in the sunlight, and to feel the warmth of the sun on the darker parts of his fur is strange. Bjorn growls impatiently in his head while his stomach growls equally impatiently. It was time to feed, whether or not it would be a hunt or a murder. Pale-rimmed pupils scan the lions that have gathered here and he wondered - perhaps an intrusive thought - which would be the easiest to kill. His eyes settle upon a lioness with a coat like the starry night sky (@Carina) and he licks his lips absently.

Nearby is a tall rock, and Dagr takes the initiative of climbing it, feeling his weight against his muscles as he uses his claws to scramble up the side of it. He hopes to be able to see what they would potentially be hunting from up here, but his gaze still lingers on the starry lioness.

Though, the sudden appearance of @Sheol breaks his focus as she crosses the path between the lioness and him, jarring him from his trance. A faint growl spills forth from his lips and he frowns as the lioness joins their group. Faolan is here, too. Not Ulva, though... He wonders if she would need to be punished again for wandering too far...

Left, right, left, right. Blue had kept this chant in her mind as she went along on her way, eyes focused upon her feet. It was difficult to get around in these giant shoes of hers, but the more time she practiced the better she would be. It wouldn't be very becoming of the new jewel of the desert to be thought of as clumsy after all.

She had been venturing through Amaryllis, drawn to the beauty of it, the diversity of landscapes, and the impressive landmarks scattered throughout. The peak was among the most impressive landmarks she saw, reaching to the heavens, a lonely mountain that surely contained some glittering treasure at its peak. It would stand at the center of Amaryllis, a landmark to guide one's way.

As she explored, she would note curious rocks in the small streams, gleaming brightly against the light. She had never seen gemstones before, but she imagined them valuable. Perhaps she would have to gather some to take back home later.

For right now, she was following the scent of lions, again practicing her steps, this time at a run. Eventually, she would find the group, eager to observe them as they hunted.

What is it that draws them here, again and again?

These beasts of silver and red are growing more and more familiar to the Peitho hound. They're call for blood even more so. Cerberus watches silently from his perch amidst the crags as the hungry beasts congregate below, his presence masked by the shadow of the mountain and the scent of gravel upon his coat. The peak has become their hunting ground, it seems. For the challenge of it, perhaps? Or did the cold cliffs call to them, like the dark waves called to something in his blood?

Well, he doubts that he'll get a clear answer just by observing. And if he aided the growing hunting party in their task, perhaps they might be more amenable to telling him someday. He shifts his gaze to roam over the various trails and loose rocks that lead off from his resting place, eventually standing to place his paws upon the most reliable path. He takes his place along the outskirts of the group, a silent wraith amidst the predators.

Why can he never just be left to rest in peace?

The nearby call for a hunt rouses the Rike hound from his slumber, bleary eyes blinking open slowly and exceptionally reluctantly. He squints against the sunlight for a moment before letting out a low groan, his white-splotched body seeming to sink inexplicably further into the sun-warmed stone beneath his heavy frame. Oh, how he doesn't want to get up.

The noisy rumbling coming from his stomach doesn't seem to be on his side.

With a long sigh, Rainer would clamber to his feet and, after bidding a sorrowful farewell to his latest sunbathing spot, he would traipse his way towards the summons. They'd better bring down something tasty. And he does mean 'they,' for almost immediately after arriving the brute would recline himself back into the first comfortable spot that could reasonably be argued as a potential cut-off point for their quarry.

It's a genius strategic move really. If he didn't take on the highly important task of guarding this spot, the prey might escape! It's an entirely necessary decision that has nothing to do with Rainer's strong desire to refrain from running around today.
