Cirilla had not exactly been... following @Ambrose, but she had been keeping tabs on him since she had given the man some information about who she was, and what her childhood consisted of. She did not want the ivory male to blurt it all out (not that he would), but the woman could not take that chance.

Since her challenge for Caladan, the Sigrún had kept herself tucked away in the Cay in order for her body to heal. She had taken some damage, but the woman was feeling better. Not that she could feel any pain... but alas - here she was, stood on the edge of a crowd that had gathered for a hunt, staring at Ambrose.

With a silent twitch of her ear, the woman awaited some instruction, not ushering a single word.

Wandering the landscape the stone faced lion wasn’t in a rush to get anywhere. As he moved he came to a tree and raked his claws down its trunk sharping them on its bark. He was simply out exploring this new land. Being new to the area he wanted to figure out where the best places where to find herbs for healing. Good places for training and honing his fighting skills as well as decent places to hunt. Speaking of hunting as he came across a water source he took a drink but it wasn’t the water that really interested him. It was the rather large group of lions and lionesses. It would seem he had came across a hunting party. So without a word he slipped into their ranks to help the hunt.

The scent of a potential meal was what brought Lucien to this large group of lions. There was a mix of them here, either rogue or in a pride, unsure if whether or not he knew any that were here. All the dun man was caring for was to find a good meal, even if he had to fight his way into getting even a scrap. The smell was tantalizing, the lion stalking forward in the direction it was coming from. Golden eyes searched around him to see if he could spot the source of the scent, crouching low to the ground and awaiting until their potential prey showed itself so the true hunt can begin.

Just like some others, it was the scent that led her to the watering hole. It had been a couple of days since Artemisia had had a good meal, and hunger was a bitch to ignore. She also couldn't deny the help of many lions to take down potential prey - she just hoped it would be enough. As she got closer the earthen woman would drop into a hunter's crouch, sniffing the air and allowing for her form to ever so slowly continue on the trail of what it was she was scenting. Her paws itched, the adrenaline making her body quiver subtly, needing to lunge forward for the thrill of the chase.

Like the others, he is lured by the scent of prey and the promise of a kill. Considering the time of year, the ranger isn’t surprised to see so many others out in search of a meal. Hunting alone is difficult, but with a group…

Arcturus is silent as he approaches, offering his skills with a curt nod to the others and dropping low in readiness for the call. Although used to hunting alone, it would be a nice change to not have to do all the work himself.

"Whatever dies easily," comes the reply from a plum lion, and Leila's lips twitched in a smile. "Preferrably, yes." she agreed, energy clear in her poise. Hunting always brought out the high spirits in the tigress.

More approach, requesting to assist and Leila nods despite hardly being the organiser. The watering hole seemed to draw many out of the woodwork and they soon have nearly a pride's worth of interested parties. The scents of many prides flooded the tigress's sense - it was difficult to make heads or tails of, in truth. At least at challenges people tended to split up a little.

When they get moving it hardly matters; the quarry was an elephant, it's drink intercepted by hungry jaws and bold ambitions. Leila was wary, wondering how on earth they were going to bring such a monster down.

It didn't end quickly, but at last the beast lay dying. This hadn't been like the wildebeest of her last hunt - there was plenty to feed many hungry mouths for many many weeks here. Leila sat aside to muddy her scent in the dust further whilst the hungry descended. Once she was certain her scent was thoroughly muddied with the cacophany of scents present, she stepped forward to join in. Leila made sure to take a large, fair share. With the big hunk of elephant meat in her jaws, the tigress excused herself with a nod and headed back in the direction of the bluffs.

every lover's got
a little dagger in their hand

her scent, though covered, is still enough to lure him forward. the crowing of his birds is enough to give him away, gaze shifting to @Draven as he approaches. knowing he is here is not quite enough to prepare her, and the fur along her spine bristles ( and shivers ) as he leans close, teeth pressing against plush fur. a noise rumbles from her throat, low and deep, as she side-steps him — hoping to place much-needed buffer space between them. mismatched gaze lingers upon him, ignoring the feeling of his hot breath washing over her, ignoring the way her skin shivers at hearing his rumbling voice so close.

and if she hunts with a renewed vigor, well.

then it has nothing to do with his blessing.

the beast before them is just that — a beast. behemoth, massive. yet she does not hesitate. there is no room for error here and fortunately, they manage just fine. not even an elephant is enough to stop them, and that knowledge delights her. it is not pretty but it doesn’t have to be; death often isn’t. for once she eats her fill, blood and meat filling her stomach with quiet delight. as she eats, the little wolf keeps her gaze away from draven and instead on the surroundings, noting what plants grow this close to the watering hole.

once she is finished she rises, disengaging from the crowded dinner table. her scent, hidden beneath the smell of blood and others, is a mess even to her own nose. she is pleased with it though ( as she is pleased with her stomach, full and warm ), knowing that she no longer smells like him. with one, last, pointed glare to the bjorn bastard, faolán leaves — trailing her way back through the fields, leaving bloodied pawsteps in her wake.

As more and more gathered he wondered if there was too many here for a smooth hunt. Ears perked and eyes scanned the area sweeping over everyone and everything. Spotting some herbs in the bush he was in he looked at it. Studied it’s features for a few moments also tempted to just collect some of the herbs and forget about this hunt. That was until he saw the prey that they were hunting. Elephant. A fine chose of prey that should be enough for all to get a sizable share. Sharping his claws some more by running them across a rock he was near he lept forward with the start of the hunt. Helping the best he could down the beast. It was a hard fight but in the end they had won. As everyone dug in he too did the same. Eating a few mouthfuls before taking a good chuck, his share of it in the meaty rump area with him to go.

The creature they encounter was monstrous in proportion, the lumbering creature raging against the predators for all it was worth. Lunaire supposed that in the end, it meant it was worth nothing- for it fell to them all anyways.

The rose hued lioness gorged herself happily on the warm meat, feeling the blood soak her chest and face. She waits, until the others have dutifully opened the cavity in the beast's chest, before tearing the massive heart from it's chest and quickly making her way away from the hunt scene, taking her prize back to the mire for a project she has in mind, the gaze constantly scanning the surrounding world as bloodstained pawprints were left in her wake.
