It was his turn, he figured. Aidoneus had done a lot to keep them fed, seemingly leading a hunt every time he turned around, but it was about time he led them. Away from the pride to the watering hole, where he had seen more than a few possible prey the last time he had come. He settles down in the grasses some distance from the gathered animals, crouched behind a rock to watch with hungry eyes.

There were some obvious targets, and Alaric turned briefly away to give a low call for any joiners before his focus returned to the potential food. The noise of the busy place was thankfully enough to drown out his call, lost among the squabbles of herds, and he hoped it would be heard by those that mattered.

The young dieudonne knew that in some parts of Amaryllis he will always have a target on his back for simply being a part of Wolfbron Bluffs. There were some folks that he wouldn't even have to utter his last name for them to know who he was but he liked to think that folks wouldn't judge him based on his Uncle's untamed personality. At the end of the day, he just wanted to be Mithros. Fighting for his sister and Bee and Echo. They were his only focus, though he was certain that if the lives of his cousins(?) came into the mix he'd likely go to war for them, too.

So travelling to the call of someone needing a few more claws and teeth for a hunt forced him to second guess himself. Wandering with each paw step closer and closer to them while wondering if he was going to be shooed away or simply tolerated for the idea of getting food. He didn't need food but he wanted the exercise. Not to mention that it was a good way to see that he wasn't a monster like the Dieudonne were perceived to be right out of the gate. So he tightened his lips into a smile at @Alaric and waited. Happy to help, but afraid of what could go down if he wasn't careful.

Buoyant with her step, until she noticed him settling. That became clear, there was something afoot — a scent? Tracks? Her gait slowed as she sidled near her pridemate, passing a long-side glance towards the others that surely followed suit. For now, she chose to conserve her energy. Her belly lay low to the cool earth, basking in the growing glow knowing the hunt was in motion. The mood sweetened then, by the knowledge it was her pridemate to lead them.

it was a routine she settled in to with only some discomfort. hunting had ever been her forte, but the peach druid was determined. her moderate skills in battle translated well enough to hunting, and with the assistance of other hunters she had seen some decent success so far.

she, as usual, rolled on the ground before she made her way to the fields. coating her fur in a solid mix of dirt and plant matter which blended with the salt air she always wore. calypso, in the end, did not smell much like lion. as she drew closer to the watering hole she made a point of rolling against, refreshing the mask with scents that were more local.

the male that called them together was unfamiliar to her, but she did not hesitate to approach nonetheless. her belly was low to the ground, her steps slow and stalking, as she took up a position behind and to the left. her gaze scanned the prey that mingled ahead, seeking the target he had evidently spotted, ears flicking back to take note of those that joined them.

Kallan followed after the scent of prey, their nose lifted to the air and twitching with each breath. She had started to settle into a routine of venturing outside of the hollows in order to complete her tasks for the pride and had been emboldened by her recent hunting success, especially when she was able to team up with Hiccup.

They heard him before they saw him. A call rang out, causing Kallan to swivel her head sharply to the side where she could see his ivory form crouched and waiting amongst a small crowd of lions primed and ready for the hunt. They echoed their own chuff and began stalking toward the watering hole, happy to take advantage of their numbers to aid their own odds of success.

the watering hole seems terribly typical. the openness of the place sets his teeth on edge but he comes regardless. beckoned forward by the chuffing of the lead hunter, calling for any willing bodies to come and help. fortunately for alaric, kazimir was in the area and is always willing to both show off and get a free meal in the process. he's already been doing one of those things -- galloping paws carrying him, using the openness of the fields to his advantage. but he ceases this at the call and instead lumbering paws carry him into the growing group, slipping in as if he's always belonged there. ruby eyes sweep across those gathered and then to the direction the hunter is faced -- trying to catch the scent of whatever alaric has his eyes on. as he does so, his toes spread and his mouth falls open -- a familiar prayer on his lips. pridi, pridi, i pust' segodnya nasha tsel' budet vernoy. he murmurs, mostly to himself but also to the spirits that flit around at his ears. if they were feeling particularly charitable today, perhaps they would listen and assist.

once again he finds himself all the way out here, and for what reason he cannot say. he's following another game trail -- these are the only way to traverse the island, as they help guide him and keep him from the majority of the island. its not until the game trail he's on ends that he realizes where he is and he grunts, seafoam eyes sliding up. the watering hole is a pale comparison to the sea but he's here now, and it seems he isn't the only one with this idea. a hunting party has assembled, it seemed, these greenlanders always incapable of hunting for themselves, but hakon joins them regardless. the watering hole itself was the biggest, and most obvious landmark here. he stares at it with an impassive look, noting the creatures gathered around. surely those weren't their target -- they'd all spook too easily before they got there. instead his attention shifts towards the gathered crowd, noting their faces. the grass beneath his paws itches and irritates but he focuses on the task at hand, ready and eager to return to the lagoon and give his aching lungs a rest.

She hadn’t been here before, which seemed more and more peculiar the further into the territory she wanders. The most apparent perk to the territory being the undeniably massive lake, perhaps even fuelled by an underground spring - given the flat nature of the land. The Watering Hole was certainly a location with noting, with a suggestion of year-round water and limitless prey.

Quietly she slinks towards the promise of a hunt, the stench of prey as heavy upon her lungs as it was others. The midnight-swathed woman lingers on the outskirts of the group, waiting for the leaders signal.

He stalks forward, the image of his crimson physique, uncoiled from the darkness of the forest. He is drawn to the gathering of hunters, to the promise of blood laying heavy across his mind; the eagerness to feast on prey flesh, consuming his thoughts, as hunger - aberrant and coaxing - drives the large, crimson titan towards the feline collective. His muscled physique unfurls into view, the red sheen of his fur glinting like violence beneath the light. His cold blue eyes will touch both @Aidoneus and @Charax once, as they linger along the edges of the hunting party, and Amaroq silently slinks toward them, his attention returning to the rest of the hunters as he finally halts his steps (his eyes smouldering with wintry intensity). His muscles flex with a readiness to begin their hunt, his tail twitching against his thighs, viperine and eager.
