Her strange encounter with that leopard Luca had only filled her mind for a few minutes after his departure. Amorette played around with the stream a bit more before she grew tired and headed back to her den for the rest of the evening. Living a life without a need for business as she did with the crows had left her lazy. Gauthier had promised her food and indeed there were plenty to be found within Firnen. Best of all, she usually didn't need to go hunt herself. The rest of the pride that and Amorette was more than happy to mooch off her resources. Today, she found a sturdy rock to serve as her tanning bed and she stretches out on it, belly exposed to the canopy and the thin streams of sunlight that seep through. It was the perfect temperature. Best of all, she didn't have any company to ruin her alone time.

Splat.

The sound of fish against rock was a memorable one. There stood one river-slicked cat expectantly waiting at Amorette's sprawling side, a calculating glint showing in his gaze as he waited for her to stir from her lounging.

"A yummy fish," Lorant explained what was not needed. "I cannot wait to eat. Unless... unless there is something better than a fish," he mused, cocking his head to the side for good measure. He set up clear lines for her to read between: a meal is up for grabs, though it will not be free. Nothing was ever truly free.

Well, good things could only come in short bursts. The slimy splatter of a scaly fish on her perch right by her head has Amorette opening her eyelids in confusion. She does not move, but rather immediately sees @Lorant's face in her field of vision. What was he doing here and what was...? Head turns to her side, cheek flush against the stone to see the eerily dead fish eye gawking back at her. A gift? For his rude departure from her last time? Though the former crow is a thief and she knows better than anyone if things were free she wouldn't have to resort to stealing what she wants. She rolls over onto her belly, a dark paw swiping out instinctively in an attempt to hook her talons into the meal. Immediately trying to claim it for herself. "Thanks, Luca," she purrs. He had practically thrown it in her mouth for her, so was it so wrong for her to assume it was hers for the taking?

Her paw, with its barbed hooks and greedy grasp, was met with the weight of Lorant's own ginger mitt. He thrust out his arm to place his weight upon the silvery thing's tail, teeth flashing with a knowing grin.

Not so fast.

"Oh, you are hungry?" He cooed innocently. He was able to look down at the woman from her perch upon her belly, gleeful anticipation building in the air around him as their next spar of wits began in full force. "Good. I will take thee kiss now, of course," Lorant agreed. He craned his neck to one side, exposing the plush roundness of his cheek for her offering as he flexed his toes in wait.

Her claws dig into the fish, already she is imaging how it will taste in her jaws, drool pooling inside her mouth at the thought of an easy meal. Her dreams comes crashing down roughly as his paw lands squarely on top of the tail, preventing her from dragging it to her unless she wished to rip it apart. Brows furrow - annoyed and confused when he asks if she's hungry. Well, clearly! She had just thanked him and attempted to shove his gift down her throat. Then he asks for his kiss. Amorette blinks. What the hell. Now he wanted it? Fine, she'll give it to him then. "Come here," she coos back, her voice soft and lids drifting in a seductive gaze. Her paw stretches out attempting to touch the cheek turned away from her so that she can pull him closer and place her lips on the offered one. When she is hovering centimeters above, her breath tickling the hair on his pelt, Amorette opens her jaws suddenly and attempts to take a bite. She'll mark him permanently, so that he never forgets what a kiss from her is like.

Her dark voice tickled something in him, the command to come hither one Lorant would readily obey. His pulse quickened as she draped a velvet paw across his cheek to pull his face closer, hot breath tickling at his furs until he heard the abrupt smack of parting lips.

In a flash, he was pulling himself away from the woman. Her teeth scraped at his retreating face so his fur seeped with scarlet even as he attempted to skirt quickly away from her onslaught.

"So forward," Lorant breathed in a huff. "You misunderstand; I am gentleman," he insisted as he made a beeline for the nearest tree. All the while he wore a knowing smirk, as if he was not actively fleeing an attacker.

Her loving embrace is futile, teeth nipping at the edges of spotted fur. Blissfully she samples a tiny drop of his blood, but he is pulling away faster than she can move to grab him. His hand slips from hers as he turns, Amorette releasing a growl as she leaps off her rock to give chase. He beelines for a tree and skillfully launches himself up the trunk. Amorette's own claws latch into it, her jaws snapping at his tail, but only meeting empty air. Her larger, heavier body cannot fight gravity and gracelessly she slips landing back on the ground with a hard thump. The masked woman glares up the tree, annoyed, despite his insistence that he was a gentleman. She turns with a snort and heads back to the rock, leaping upon it with her back turned to him as she greedily snatches the fish he left behind. Whatever. At least she got her meal and she had managed to nip him in the process. Maybe now he would wisely proceed with caution around her. Guttural growls and crushing bones echo from her as she chows down, her anger dispelling from the added weight of food in her gut.

Lorant relied on his speed and knowledge of the terrain where he had little else. It was how he had managed to live so long for someone with such nefarious tendencies. His talents proved sufficient that day, allowing him to skirt quickly away from the charging lioness and up a conveniently-placed tree, safely away from her outstretched claws.

He only stopped his scurrying climb when he could no longer hear her paws thundering after him. Lorant panted breathlessly as he looked down from his perch, eyes widening slightly at the sight of Amorette on her back. It might have been pleasant under different circumstances – no, even then, he felt some type of way about it. He lashed his tail against the branches to his rear as he watched her immediately claim the fish for herself, and while consuming it himself had never been the plan, he could not help but feel cheated without even a kiss to show for his efforts.

"You are in debt to me, now," he pointed out in a projected tenor above the rainforest chatter. Poke. Prod. "You know how I like my debt paid."

The feral beast hisses and bares her teeth at @Lorant. However, she does not move from her stone throne and once the fish's bones have been splintered and its flesh devoured she throws herself back onto her basking chair. His prodding does not evoke any words from her and rather with the satisfaction of a snack and content belly, Amorette rolls over onto her spine for a continuation of her self-care. The sun warms the lighter tones of her fur though with his presence lingering in the tree she does not allow herself to fall asleep. Rather, she closes her eyes and allows her figure to relax, a possible temptation for him if he is feeling brave to come down and approach her for a third time.
