Actually, Zaahir was pretty sure this was the most lions he'd ever seen gathered anywhere in his short life, so maybe multiple fights breaking out was perfectly normal when you got too many of the species together in one place. The main fight, he'd figured out, seemed to be over the territory itself. Others, he supposed, were either supporters of either side, defenses against intruders, or grudge matches. Or maybe there were a few like him who just enjoyed a good scuffle every now and then.

Indeed, his grin would widen in response to @Silas' comment, toes wriggling as the man glanced at them, "Oh yeah, sometimes a good fight's just what you need, y'know?" Expend a little extra energy, blow off a little steam, revel in the aches afterward that reminded you you were alive.

Head titled in consideration, then, wondering at the ultimate aftermath, "Do you think the lioness will kick you out? Or are you just gonna leave if she wins?" Did he, perhaps, prefer the dark male to someone unknown? Zaahir, himself, had spent the majority of his life among his family, so much of his understanding of prides came only from the stories and information shared by his parents.

"Oh, me? Well, I-" it registered, a second or so of delay, and his expression shifted from that amiable grin to a sudden puzzled frown. Every now and then, especially if he'd been treated fairly well recently (or at least hadn't encountered any incorrect assumptions right to his face) he'd forget what he looked like and what others might, naturally, assume. It was a bit like going a while with the absolute knowledge the sky was blue only to have someone insist it was yellow while you were staring directly at it in all it's very blue glory. Or like getting dunked in an ice-cold pond when you expected a hot spring. "Sir." A firm correction. "Not 'miss'." He'd let the mistake slide the once, though his tail twitched in mild agitation as he tried to smooth his expression back out, and his ears refused to un-fold for the moment. "I've been living in the desert, mostly. Exploring a lot, trying to learn about this place."

Adrenaline was high and it was quick to send the heathen into a mild frenzy — electricity buzzed beneath her surface with each ticking second, her gaze darting across the growing sea of spectators and the chaos that nipped closely at their heels. She shifted her attention between her father’s brawl and the others, but it was suddenly, out of the corner of her eye, that she saw something that brought her blood to a quick and potent boil.

And snap went the taunt string that had been previously holding her in position.

@Aphrodite had abandoned their pride once in favor of her own crown, which Arduinna could have forgotten about, should that have been her only transgression. But now she dared come back to the dunes and lay her hands upon their flesh and blood? Arduinna thought not. Muscles coiled, then, as the wraith spurred into action, propelling herself across the arena as she sought to swallow the distance between the caladian and herself, fangs dripping spittle as she seethed: “remember where the fuck you are.” because this was their kingdom, not her own. It would do Aphrodite well to remind herself that she was a guest here, now, and nothing more.

Only a moment later did Arduinna seek to make contact, her left shoulder jutting outwards as she attempted to ram it into the center of the other woman’s chest — hopefully to derail her from inflicting too much damage onto the much younger prince. Splayed jaws remained at the ready but at bay, for now, molten eyes flashing — daring — as a terrible and gutteral sound spurred from the depths of the banshee’s chest. A warning, and one chance for her to yield.

It did not appear his friend noticed the smile sent her way. Well then Reti would have to go over and say hello he supposed. Approaching with silent strides the lion's brow lifted slightly noticing a young cub stalking in to attack the other little cub at Aphro's side.

A personal grudge? At that age? Interesting.

He was close now, but not did not move to try and intervene until Aphrodite used a paw to try and shove the boy off the girl - and things started cascading. Reti's defenses snapped up effortlessly and without thought, lips pressed breifly with displeasure noting the extended claws on Aphrodite's paw.

Was that needed? For a fight between young cubs? Reti attempted a less...potentially harmful intervention. He attempted to push his front right Leg in-between the two cubs bodies like a wedgee and flick his paw forward. Attempting to prevent damage to the female cub without truely harming the boy and attempting to push him backward a bit.

Noticing the young lioness driving twoards Aphrodite he rumbled a 'heads up' attempting to key her in on the approaching threat. Well aware he would now be a target as well Reti kept his situational awareness alert for additional attackers.

He had no intention of making this personal yet. No need to make it worse. Just...playing cubs referee. He would let the two lionesses play rough. Unless things become more spicy anyhow.

Zinnia

She watched the fight between Zabrina and the male with rapt interest, while she was childish and that grin never fully went away, her ears twitching to the sounds of others speaking, of @Aphrodite saying they would find out the winner soon enough. She couldn’t tear her eyes from the fight, the most important fight that was going on, she watched each blow with bright yellow eyes. The spotted girl silently cheering on the two toned lioness that fought for them a home. Her tail twitched, the only sign of anxiety on her.

But then, she was no longer sitting as she was shoved into the sand, landing half on her lavender flowers as the breath wooshed from her lungs. Zinnia’s lips peeled back to reveal sharp pointy cub teeth as she was forced to look at the ugly cub on top of her. White faced, demonic red eyes, pointed ears that were pinned back. She snarled, her little cub voice louder than even she expected it to be and she inwardly flinched, she was going to distract Zabrina. "Get off me!" She growled, her voice lower this time as her hind legs, claws out, attempted to kick him in the gut, over and over again. She saw, out of the corner of her narrowed yellow eyes that Aphrodite was moving, but there were more at play now, as she went to push the boy off her another came to slam their shoulder into her chest. Another came to, a male, and all of a sudden adrenaline was flooding her system as she recalled the fire and the fighting.

Another growl vibrated in her chest. This time there was no running, she would have to fight. Jaws snapped in warning, protecting her throat as her chin tipped down, her front paws reaching up in an attempt to claw at his ugly face and eyes. Eyes should not be that red. She needed to extinguish them. She was a Law, she would not cower and be defeated in the sand. She was brought up better than that.

Indeed, sometimes a fight was exactly what you needed. Silas nodded along with the lioness's sentiment until she asked about his phony future. He feigned consideration; would he stay with her if she allowed or leave as a loyal dog to the king? Were he actually in this situation—though this was hard to imagine given his disdain for prides—he'd probably leave in a heartbeat. "I wouldn't care what she desires; my ass would be outta there so fast," he laughed, watching the fights continue on. Oh look, there goes another one!

Sir... not 'miss'. With a flick of an ear to make sure he heard correctly, Silas whipped around to see the briefest frown worn upon his new acquaintance's expression and ears swept back. He took in her... no his... appearance again, thinking he'd missed some blatant indication—maybe a small tuft of mane coming in on the young man's—but nope, he looked much like other lionesses he'd seen around. Truthfully, he didn't care either way, but he considered it an honest mistake he wouldn't make again. Hopefully the boy would understand.

"I do apologize, sir." Thankfully, @Zaahir ♔ was already moving on and so would he as he learned why he smelled of the desert. "You livin' out here alone? Desert ain't the most prosperous place; most of it at least. Besides the Oasis's lake and the southern ridge, yer likely to catch death if yer hangin' out anywheres else for too long."

As her gaze sweeps the crowd, she hopes her ire and rage stoke the flames of war. Helah's gaze only briefly watches as her King sets the female into her place- and she studies the chimera female- as much as she can. She will not forget her- and she will pay for daring to think she was worth coming for what was theirs. Helah watches as those around her leap into battle, and her words are heeded- as they should be. It is @Blaidd that her eyes fall on as she sees her son slipping through the crowd- and when the youth starts his own fight her maimed ears prick. She watches, her head rising as a female lioness- @Aphrodite leaps into the fray, to... fight against her son?

I think not.

As she moves to weave through the crowd- she spies another coming to Blaidd's aid- @Arduinna . She halts where she stands- content with seeing what the female could do to protect the pride's youngest royalty... and she is content with remaining out of it- but marking Aphrodite for the maim to come to her, for daring to harm what was hers....

When a male steps into the fray- Helah is moving before she can think. Call it bitchiness. Call it twisted maternal instinct. She aims to skirt around and through the crowd and aims to barrel into @Reti ♔ 's open side, jaws aiming to splay open as she tries to attempt to sink her teeth into any part of him she can reach. She doesn't care about his motives- only knows that he is touching- he is interfering with something that is hers. And he will pay.

Her charge is successful, Nyaxia falling beneath her as Icefang attempts to snap her jaws anywhere near the woman's face. A burning sensation ripples through her underside, the searing pain of claws tearing at her as blood drips out from her cuts. She snarls, her rage blinding her from the oncoming assault as she only has a moment to glance to her side before Arkyn barrels into her. The oncoming force throws her off, the ivory sovereign landing on her left side and sliding through the sand a few feet. She shakes her skull, blue orbs locking onto the colossal male as she notes Nikandr rushing in to her rescue and attempting to attack the male's hindquarters. Another snarl, as she gets up her gaze flickering between the downed female with her toddler still latched onto her (so much for tossing her to the side) and the firnen male that now stands in her way. Deciding that Arkyn is the bigger headache at the moment, she charges him head on leaping at him in an attempt to rake her claws at both shoulders and attempt to lock her jaws onto his face.

The hard bump to her fangs is terrible. Tormenta winching at the sudden throbbing she feels in her mouth, but she'd have to deal with that later. Fucking bitch. She misses on the bite, but one attack is successful and as Sarsaparilla welcomes the liquid of blood gushing from Tormenta's wound, she can relish in a similar feeling as she also feels the wetness under her toes from the cuts created on her opponent's shoulder. The older lioness moves downward to sink incisors into the side of her chest and Tormenta decides to lock on rather than attempt to move back or dodge. Call it youthful arrogance as she opens her jaws and attempts to bite down on Sarsaparilla's left ear and grasp as much of her head as she can manage. Her claws on the woman's shoulder attempt to squeeze and cause further damage to the already made wound.

Wounds soon Paint her lilac frame as his claws left bloodied marks across her side and thigs. Thankfully her own attack landed on his tender muzzle, his snarl was tye sign to know of her success. She said nor did nothing all she was focused on was on giving this man a hell for landing his eyes on her. They were in war indeed but this was not their land this was something out but it seemed the Vermeda lions were too salty on her eyes.

As he let got of his jaws on her body she aimed to pull her head backwards trying to pull the flesh she had on her jaws to cause as much pain as possible while he pushed herself back down but she wasn't going to go down without a fight. She attempted to let go of his face before aiming to bite on the limb he was using to push her down and bit it hard. Don't touch me.

The Monster

There is a sharp burning pain to his face as she pulls at the tender skin by his muzzle. However, it fades when her teeth leave his flesh and Velasco snarls a triumphant grin forming over his lips as a deep laughing growl echo within his chest.

"Yield Flor de mar" Sea flower he almost purrs down at her his eyes glued to where her jaws latch around his leg as the soft sound vibrates into a snarl.

The monster then strikes down at her. His teeth attempting to grasp around the top of her muzzle intending to try and pry her off his leg. At the same time, his claws dip down attempting to stab into her flesh as he continues to attempt to push her down into the sand. Another growl vibrates in his throat, one last warning.
