The pain Ianthe expects never comes. Instead, the familiar creature on her back giggles, nibbling sweetly at her face. Her heart cracks a little at the sound, the fire of her fury snuffs out to smoke in an instant.

The girl is so young, she can;'t possible know what she's doing. Why was she even here? Where were her parents? At this point, Ianthe is starting to suspect this feral child doesn't have any.

A half-baked plan forms in her mind, and Ianthe disengages from the fight.
"Hi there, little plum, you remember me?" She asks, keeping her voice calm over the roar of combat. "How about we play over here," the princess attempts to leave the action, and carry the cub over to the sidelines.
She hopes the girl will comply, but Ianthe knows that her tiny frame holds a wild spirit, she can't predict what the little plum will do.

In the near distance, her barbaric brothers seem to have reached the pinnacle of their challenge. Ianthe doesn't care to see which one has reigned victorious.
Her sharp, olive gaze is fixed on her sisters. She watches as Arsinoë takes a pair of teeth to her shoulder, and hisses in phantom pain, certain that a bite mark has appeared on herself in the exact same spot.

Two things come into sudden, stark clarity:
1) Ianthe doesn't think she's going to be able to take control of this situation.
2) Ianthe is the angriest at Hekate and Arsinoë that she has ever been.

The three of them are better than whatever petty squabbles these other lions are fighting over. They are better than this, fighting cubs of all things - Gods, what had they been thinking?
Ianthe would grab both her darling sisters by the scruff like misbehaving kittens, and drag them out of the mire, if she weren't otherwise occupied.

Quitting is not an option

This wasn't good, actually, it was really, really bad.

Fenna was stuck between two pairs of teeth ripping into her flesh. The colossal male said something about spicy bitches before his teeth sank into her scruff puncturing the flesh. Fenna snarled but she'd already chosen a target, and now she had to deal with the consequences.

Consequences she was left to face as @Fissure called out their retreat. A retreat she couldn't follow, not with two sets of teeth holding onto her. This was just like Beau, just like the kingdoms she'd come from. She was nothing more than a body to throw under the train to save someone else... Fuck it... fuck them!

Her teeth met flesh as the black mire lion raised his paw to swipe at her face. Claws sank into the left side, pulling red lines over her gray-masked cheek. But her teeth also met flesh as they sank into his wrist, blood flowing into her jaws. She snarls her body burning with adrenaline as she feels fangs on her ear tearing into soft skin as the dark man shakes his head.

But with Livyatan's head above her own, she sees a chance and takes it. She attempts to aim a bite at his throat where his neck meets his mane just under the chin. She isn't trying to kill him but she sure as hell will try to put the fear of death into his mind if it means getting free. At the same time she also attempts to pull to the right shoving her body against Aurochs.

Age is but a number, or so they say. When next Myra wakes, she will discover that age is also aching bruises and strained joints and slower recoveries - but in this moment, the huntress is a girl on fire.

The red-maned beast rises to her bait, revealing inner desires so absurdly shallow that she snorts through her next snarl. "Then don't let me keep you." Her strike lands, and her teeth graze pale fur, but this time, Myra doesn't seek a hold, pulling her skull away from his even as she was chased by the threat of the male's hot breath on her left cheek.

She's already decided that she was done with him.

She would reflexively throw one last punch towards @Bhaskar's gaping jaws with her right forepaw, aiming this time for the gleam of pale ivory beneath the shadow of dark lips, enough force placed behind the blow to properly knock loose a tooth or two, she didn't care which. (Though wouldn't it be delightfully unfortunate if she took out a canine?)

"Go - drown your sorrows elsewhere." She commands between heaving breaths, ripping away from the beast with a lingering, glaring glance, turning only to throw herself back into the midst of the battlefield. Through her red-tinted vision, Myra can see that the pale ghost who had thought to take Mire is on the run - pathetic - but a large, bloody mess still remains on their doorstep.

Who shall she clear up next?

If there is anything to be said of Leiah it is that she possesses the sheer willpower and anger that courses through the Saxe bloodline. The blood trickling down her face is a nuisance, but it does not discourage her from continuing in this fight. The other female was much larger than her, older too, but she wouldn't allow her to think she's got her beat so easily. She is giddy with excitement when she manages to clasp Odette's paw in her jaws, and so the young girl would attempt to clench her jaws even tighter, hoping to sink her little needles into the girl's skin. Reaching outward with her left forepaw she would attempt to slice downward against the right side of the older female's shoulder, hoping to lance the skin. Her tail lashes behind her, ears tight to her head, though the fight was coming to an end she was going to give it everything she had.

Well, he just had absolutely no goddamn idea what was going on anymore. The group he'd came to casually support didn't seem to have much of a dog in the fight, conveniently enough, and his attention was stolen almost entirely by @Hubert as he respectfully appreciated the smaller lion's battle finesse - and nothing more. Absolutely nothing more than that.

He watched him for a while; and as curious as he was to see the outcome, there was another man on the field Colsun was suddenly interested in. His ears tipped forward as he spotted @Orson spotting him and the colossal shadow chuffed a muffled greeting to his brother, eager to tiptoe closer but understanding it wasn't the time for a reunion. Colsun tried to catch his eye for another beat, hoping he'd notice the nod throughout the chaos: they could talk later when everything was said and done.

For now, he was going to let the cats and mice play without him.

The bridge of her nose itched with the previously obtained clawmarks from the boy who was ganging up on her sister. Something she was not going to let happen. Her smack gives her the reaction she was looking to get from the boy. Who seemed to be very angry. Well, he could get all the anger he wanted, but it was his fault for teaming up with her sister and thinking there was not going to be any retaliation.

He launches at her(vague as there is no specific attacks). Which she was sure was going to leave brusing on her for some weeks.

Wanting to use her bigger size and somewhat strenght she aims to rush towards him, going head-on to attempt to slam the center of her chest, hopefully into his own head or anywhere, wanting to use his momentum against himself.

She felt Odette's fangs sink into her skin behind her ear, digging furrows into her flesh but mercifully leaving her ear intact. She pulled back, knowing it would only hurt more if she did but not willing to let herself be trapped there. She lifted her front right paw to shove away from Odette, taking stock of her younger siblings as she did so. They needed to get the hell out of here, before someone called for the rest of them. She'd heard someone call for Leiah already, and could only hope that battle was going well. It would be a pity if only one of them were trapped in this hellhole. At least if there were two of them, they could wreck havoc together.

{Come on, finish ripping them apart and let's go,} she said, because regardless of what happened to her, she couldn't leave her younger siblings here. That wasn't her way.

Imagine, having the balls to attack the Ecrosian Prince in his own home just to then call him the insolent one! If Hubert had known of @Viggo's inner thoughts, he likely wouldn't have been able to keep from laughing at the sheer audacity of this mottled boy. Or maybe it would only serve to anger him more? It's not a difficult thing to achieve - a heated snarl is already raging to escape from the cage of his throat as the yearling wrests him to the muddy ground, the sound muffled only by the thick neck muscles caught all-too loosely between his jaws.

A shame. He's missing the marvelous sight of the craven Luther fleeing the scene with his tail between his legs for this. You'd think he could have at least gotten a hold of the jugular in exchange for his efforts!

(Just imagine how powerful it would feel, to be the one to tear open something so precious.)

The other male's blood blooms beneath his claws to drip into the cold sludge below, soon followed by the squelching 'thud' of their bodies following suit. A swift kick to his stomach forces the breath out of him, his hold on the beast's throat indeed loosening around his rushed exhale. That was going to bruise, wasn't it? In retaliation, Hubert's hind paws would fling upwards, attempting to jab into Viggo's soft underbelly and tear his claws through the thin skin.

His foreclaws would attempt to sink into the points of the rogue's massive shoulder and push, the Prince determined to slide himself free of the other's grasp, even if he had to climb up the mottled beast to do so.
