December 13, 2024 After winning the challenge for Wolfbron Bluffs and becoming the fourth Dieudonné to hold the crown, Lazare releases all the members and ends the longest standing pride's reign over the island. After seven years of the Bluffs being held by the same family, it now sits empty, waiting for the next chapter of it's leadership.

December 6, 2024 Death came to a witch hunter after she called for the death of Karsa, with Kvare answering it causing Miaran to fall. Lazare Dieudonné challenges Louve Dieudonné for Wolfbron Bluffs. Snow seems to be falling in the middle of the summer as strange animals show up and offer a tempting meal for those brave enough to jump in.

November 8, 2024 Scorpius has gone missing and in his place Zaahir steps up to take the throne of Andal Oasis. How this change of leadership will shake things up in the lands, only time will tell.

October 11, 2024 Something is happening in the Scorched Wilds. There is a battle raging between a familiar force and an unfamiliar one. What will you do? Help or hinder?

October 1, 2024 Spooky things are happening as the afterlife start walking among the living once again.

September 30, 2024 Louve Dieudonné manages to keep Wolfbron Bluffs in the family. What will happen between the Bluffs and the otherwise peaceful pride of Lorien Plains?

September 20, 2024 Ilarion Rurik challenges for Wolfbron, will the Dieudonné lead pride fall?

September 8, 2024War broke out once again in the Lagoon when a wedding had some uninvited guest arrive. The war results in the most death matches the island has seen at once. The Summit was challenged by Brighid with Talisa answering the call. After many years of the Summit have the same two leaders, the Summit changes hands. What will this mean for the balance of Amaryllis? A witch hunt has started by Luther and Miaran which seems to be turning things on an island that is full of magic.

August 25, 2024 War broke out in the challenge for the Lagoon after Cassius tries to take the Lagoon from Isla. The Cove remains with Miaran. The leadership of the Mire switches from Sigrún hold to Rike when Luther comes back to take his birthland back. Elephants push into the Rainforest and push out the lions there. Soon after Lucifer lays claim to his birthland and takes over the Rainforest.

June 27, 2024 Conflict and tensions rise as prides come head-to-head with one another across Amaryllis - just as Pyrrha and Cassius take the leap to try and claim (or reclaim) their own thrones.

May 24, 2024 Rulers continue to shift, family strife ensues, and, per usual, tensions seems taunt and always lingering on the horizon.

April 24, 2024 Things are rocky within Amaryllis as the Dieudonne clash result in three deaths and forces a shift in the rulership of Firnen Rainforest. With Caladan Cove freshly overturned as well, what will the consequenecss of these events be?

March 30, 2024 The lull has ended as a long standing family, the Dieudonné, launch death matches against their own. The Plains sees a challenge from a new comer, Aphrodite, and the quite pride is pushed into the spotlight.

March 19, 2024 A momentary lull has overtaken the lands of Amaryllis as its inhabitants attempt to find their footing and rebuild after a string of challenges. How long it will last, however, nobody can be quite sure.

February 11, 2024 The Mire has fallen from the Stärke family and is now held by Luther Rike. The change has stirred but the fighting nature of those on the island. The Brook finds a new leader with Icefang and Isla takes over the Lagoon after a storm pushes out the old leader. Reti finds himself the leader of the Hollows after Alexander is hurt. The Oasis finds a new leader in Léonie who is soon tested by Harou.

January 8, 2024 The snow has finally begun to melt anew, which means that the world is slowly returning to the much-anticipated summer season. With the various holiday activities and the other jests put on by Nafasi also coming to a close, it is safe to say that winter is finally over.

December 5th, 2023 Nafasi had pulled a cruel trick and has sent Amaryllis back into a renewed winter season! But it's not all bad, because the lands will also see a handful of holiday-themed events popping up as a result. To make things more interesting, a wayward trio of travlers have also arrived and are facilitating a mass competition between the prides, bands, and rogues -- formally dubbed the Amaryllis Winter Games.

December 2nd, 2023 The spring air brings forth a number of pride challenges. A familiar challenger for the Cove and the Oasis arrive to try to earn what they want. The new leader of the Lagoon is tested in battle as well. What changes will come from the challenges? Who will remain standing and who will find their world turned upside down?

November 27th, 2023 In a challenge between mother and daughter, the leadership of Wolfbron Bluff changes for the first time in 5 IC years.

November 22nd, 2023 Two death matches, one resurrection, and an almost-war later, the lands find themselves in a constant state of turmoil and calamity. Families have been torn apart and endless blood has been spilt; but how is it all going to end?

November 3rd, 2023 The lands stir violently as a death match rages on between Aeistrios Saxe and Morrigan Greyflood. Observers spill into the pit in droves to witness what will no doubt be a historic battle -- and it is clear that this familial fued is far from over, no matter who wins and who dies.

October 12th, 2023 With winter comes the surge of more pride challenges; Ludivine challenges Ryker for Firnen Rainforest and is victorious in her endeavors, meanwhile an outcropping of maims breaks out on the sidelines. In a shocking turn of events Luther returns to challenge Bruno for Ecrosia Mire, will the former heir prove victorious or has Bruno got what it takes to keep his brother's ambitions at bay? This has undoubtedly shaken things up as Bruno declares war against Andal Oasis and Allies in the process!

Though the air is still warm and the sun is bright, the summer is beginning to wane and, with it, the humidity has started to die down. It is a welcomed relief for the inhabitants of the jungle, as more moderate weather will mean that the rainforest will not feel quite as stifling, as well as those from the desert, who's early autumn will see calm winds and mild nights. For the rest of the peninsula, the change in seasons will be gradual, hinting towards the colder months that are soon to come.

Io did her best; she had used all her force in this fight, yet as much as she didnt want to alter it, her size and lack of fighting skills had resulted in her ultimate loss. Which she did not find surprising. She had never been built for combat, whereas her skills lay more in hunting and strategy. But again, for her queen, she didnt mind going outside of her comfort zone. Ignoring her clear flaws, she wanted to prove to them she was up to anything in the Bluff's name.

She fell on her back and weakly stood up. Her mouth was covered in blood, alongside other places in her frame. She looked around her, and she thought she was done here. Limping a bit, she walked out of the Mire. She needed to go tend her wounds back in the safety of her den.

He knew as soon as he saw the tears that the fight with Eris had been lost. All the bravado and confidence he’d walked in wearing like a mask cracked and crumbled watching his sister—the cautious diplomat, the quiet observer—take a stand there with him in the midst of the madness. Emory wanted to shove her away, to throw her beyond the borders of the Mire and to what he thought would be their only possibility of safety, but it would be futile. They were all they had in the world; they needed each other.

Feeling weak for admitting it to himself, for recognizing that his strength was not solely his own, he bared his teeth in a painful grimace and breathed out a growling, heavy sigh. “Dummes Mädchen,” he whispered—foolish girl—taking precious seconds to lean in and brush his cheek against the top of her head. It wasn’t their way, to outwardly display affection, especially given the circumstances, but there was no telling when he might get another chance. If he might get another chance.

It put him at a complete disadvantage to the other yearling barreling up behind him, and only heard the pounding footsteps as they came up on him. He managed only to take a single step away from Eris, to begin turning his head over his shoulder as the anxiety and paranoia swept back through him and were rewarded by the feeling of claws sinking into his back. Finally! Someone had taken notice of the traitorous children of Luther after all.

Snarling, back tensed and seething with the pain of someone digging in, as if trying to climb atop him, Em roared one final command to his sister—“Run!”—and swung his head back to no avail. He couldn’t reach them, could barely see hints of bright peach fur and dark stripes, nothing clear enough to identify who was attacking him. But neither did he need to know until it was done. Without an opportunity to reach his attacker, the boy lurched to his left, rocking his own sense of balance, and quickly threw himself to the right, trying to go prone onto his side and possibly throw whoever clung to him from his back—if he couldn’t pin part of them beneath his heft in the process.

Impact knocked any thought out of her skull, a bruise flaring angrily across the flesh covering that portion of her head that smashed so brutishly into her son’s jawline. And yet afterward, she could only relish in the momentary victory. Although that did not last long.

The speed of which things progressed was always incredibly fast, and perhaps that is why she enjoyed battle so much. It was straightforward. It was merciless. Fast paced. Mistakes were punished immediately, and so one was more than motivated not to make any mistakes.

As Bruno swung around to latch onto her ear, she felt his teeth sink deep. Mistake. And swiftly punished, as she yowled in a half-snarl half pained shriek. One wrong move and her ear will be torn clean. There is no way out! Or was there? In quick search of retaliation, she lifted a limb to try and swat out Bruno’s one grounded leg, to attempt and make the boy crumble. His claws sank into her own foreleg, and she snarled angrily, the teeth in her ear sinking ever so viciously. Her head thrummed, blood pouring down her face in rich rivulets.

I should’ve killed you when I had the chance.

Anniston and her brother seemed to be focused on each other, bickering back and forth as they argued and defended their own points. He'd of been amused at it, entertained - had it not been Violarum that soured it all.

It seemed with Aeistrios push back at him, Violarum had lost his patience. Aeistrios suffers at the bite - caught off guard at the sudden change, feeling his face ache in such an agony his vision faded in and out for a good few moments. Fuck, he thought to himself, before feeling a small surge of adrenaline aid him his next movements. A snarl spits from his lips, and Aeistrios attempts to swing both his claws up, unsheathed as each of his front paws tried to hook onto both sides of Violarum's shoulders, hoping to try and tear him off with deep wounds.

So much for playing nice.

Although she successfully shoved into @Henrik, and his paws squelched with less capable footing than hers did amidst the Mire, this wasn't enough to get rid of him. He attacked along her side again and she feared ugly scars if she let him worry at the same place. She whined, loosened her jaws, and whirled her hindquarters around in a quick pivot while her skull and forehalf lowered contrite. This was surrender but she looked at him with ugly eyes. "Why don't you leave?" As though it was all his fault. She certainly would give up all the blame. She feared punishment if she didn't make some effort to defend her home. But he was a male. He could leave his pride whenever he wanted, so his presence along the Mire borders had been his choice. Her scruff rippled with rancid little fluff-spikes as she guardedly backed away then turned to scurry off once she got to a safe distance. She needed to lick her wounds.

Her attacks are finally enough to get the smaller female off of her as the buzzard releases her grasp and retreats from the fight. Amorette is pleased she has won, not that she could of ever forgiven herself for losing against such a small opponent. She would of surely died from embarrassment. Instead she has won as she expected, the only thing to deal with would be to find someone in the band that could tend to her wounds. After all, she had never been the resourceful type with herbs and she would be unable to reach the cuts that laced the middle of her back and the base of her tail. She takes this moment to leave, having heard Fissure's call to dismiss themselves as their client had lost and tried to flee his own battle. Disappointing, she does not stop to check if any of her band mates are still left in their own battles. She had won hers and nothing to take for her victory, she could care less about who was left behind.

[[i.....really should have tried to reply sooner lmao i have no idea what all's happening now so this is gonna be super vague]]

It was good to know he would not be made to fight anyone for little more than something so fleeting as glory. Sébastien would gladly protect their own, however. @Amara's instruction received a nod, and the pale man would move away from the group once more, putting some space between himself and others in case he needed to move quickly.

Alert and ready, his gaze flicked toward each conflict as it arose or resolved, but sharp eyes and twitching ears found no immediate danger to their own that required defense immediately. And so he became a watchful sentinel, eerily calm and motionless amongst the chaos. Sébastien did not care for war, but recognized the inevitability of it when one lived within a volatile country. As with many simple facts of life, one simply had to accept it; to panic and rage would accomplish nothing but more injury and strife.

(10-23-2023, 01:04 PM)Runa Wrote: She will regret her rampage later, that was for certain. And yet the Reborn could not think of consequences. When had she ever considered them? Even marching toward death, she’d always regarded the glory. Nothing else but the glory. To rise and slaughter Sigrun had been her one goal in life, even if she lied, more often than not, that motherhood came close second. But there was nobody to answer to now. Why? Half of them were dead, and the others thought her dead.

Being dead is such a wonderful blessing.

It was her moment, her time – and so despite the bruises flaring angrily across her shoulders, despite the pain of lacerations and bite marks, she grinned again. To feel every muscle, every fiber, work harmoniously together in one savage goal was better than any glory she could have. She could feel the air burn in her lungs, and the winter winds bite at her exposed flesh. Pain was a pleasure.

Being alive is such a wonderful blessing.

Her talons slashed across his face, tearing through bunched flesh that protected Bruno’s eye. Her paw sought to return to the ground, she had better use of it there. It was time to change her tactic, and so she chose force instead of threat. Her head sought to lower, turning as she sought to ram her forehead into Bruno’s oncoming jawline to try and deter his onslaught.

His shoulder slammed painfully into her own, the ache doubling and certainly worsening, a bruise to bloom bigger and bigger beneath her thick fur. She staggered back in the snow, her balance shaking as she sought to maintain it and to crumble here and now.

It's hardly the most glorious of battles, he can concede that much internally, a harsh grunt hissing past his lips as the bruising pain of the fall spread through his shoulder and along his ribs. He certainly doesn't recall ever seeing Vater having to suffer through the indignity of blindly clawing at an opponent while scrambling through the mud. Yet Hubert has always seemed to be the one who ends up with the short end of the stick, hasn't he? He will make do with what he has.

The Prince is tiring now, his explosive energy beginning to wane the longer this dragged on and the ache of his wounds grew more apparent. It's the satisfying sensation of soft flesh splitting open beneath his claws that urges him onwards and upwards, his narrow torso twisting through the sludge to try to set himself upright, though he is ultimately too slow to retract his forelimbs. A pained snarl rumbles through him when @Viggo's jaws clamp hard around the lower middle of his right foreleg.

Would he try to break it, like Isla once had?

Trying to yank away from the sharp teeth embedded in his skin hurts, but Hubert desperately tries it anyway, twisting his trapped paw within its limited mobility to try to claw at the other male's cheek or jowls, whatever happened to be within reach. Hubert retracts his own jaws completely from where they'd been slipping from Viggo's neck, whipping his head up to snatch only a quick inhale of open air through his nose, before aiming his pale fangs towards Viggo's face.

Maybe he should leave the mottled brute with a permanent mark to remember him by.

(This post was last modified: 11-04-2023, 12:46 PM by Reaper.)
A respectable amount of blood had been shed, staining the snow-white pelt of the larger male and creating rivulets in the murky patches of water below. It's smell is inevitably going to attract the larger crocodiles, and Reaper isn't planning on sticking around to see how they feel about his little midnight snack.

Still, he doesn't want to leave just yet.
Stone-still and cast in shadow, the large bird watches in rapt attention as the smaller, darker lion claims victory over his brother. A surprise to Reaper, who has always associated size with strength.
He's never, not once in his decade of living, respected a lion. They are simple, barbaric creatures with weak young and even weaker principals. So the feeling that sparks in his chest at the smaller brother's triumph can't be respect, of course, but it's something close.

A literal war had brewed between the mire beasts and what another lion had called the oasis. Finally, for the first time in ages something interesting was happening. Though Reaper would normally watch from the sidelines - a stray thought catches in his mind.

you could join in

It's ridiculous. Insane, even for him. He is apathetic towards the beasts at best, and assumed they would be hostile towards him at worst. The idea is a terrible one, and yet it persists.

Reaper keeps his gaze on the lion who had proved himself worthy. He knew the cat wouldn't actually eat his brother, but it was still sort of disappointing when he didn't.
What isn't disappointing is the lion's immediate attack against another, so soon after what had to be an exhausting fight - !
Reaper almost wants to clack his beak in delight. There is so much drama he can hardly keep up, which is the correct amount of drama to have. War, interpersonal conflict, bloodshed, prisoners - the perfect breeding ground for gossip and chaos. It would be a shame, to miss out on all the fun...

He will need to think on it. Prepare a persuasive argument for the conquering lion, perhaps even offer to treat some of his wounds.
For now, Reaper turns and leaves the cats to their scuffles. He's a patient predator, after all, he can wait for the right opportunity to strike.
