The guard dog has been familiarizing himself more with their pride borders, getting up early the past several days and taking a zone of the land and thoroughly exploring and learning it. Sabre knew this was the best way to understand the land you lived on, to be able to use it to the best of your advantage. The rainforest held a plethora of useful tools in the shape of greenery, such as thick vines that one could use to snag prey - or another lion. The thick brush was also something very useful, being able ton conceal yourself behind or in it. And even with his stark color difference, Sabre knew that if he found a patch just thick enough that he, too, could become hidden.

He was in the middle of sniffing one area of the borders when he heard the call echo in the humid air. Ears twist forward in mild curiosity while skull turned in the direction it had come from. Rose quartz eyes take a brief glance at the sky, noting how the sun hadn't fully risen to its full peak, and with a good shake of his thick mane and a flick of both tail tips, he'd set off towards where the call had come from. He'd move at a steady pace, only slowing down once he arrived at the gathering. Eyes take note of all the bodies that were around, most smelling different than of Firnen's scent. Taking a spot near the back of the crowd, he allows for his haunches to recline so that he was now sitting, watching the challenge and wondering if he'd stay if Ryker fell today.

He had noted the small form of @Lucía leaving the Summit. At first, Amandil expected the young cub to grow tired, plunk down and that he'd have to carry her back. But to his unending surprise - the stubborn girl not only had managed to NOT yeet herself down the cliffs... but the stubborn girl had made it to the rainforest.

Color him impressed. Eyebrows were near to his mane as he trailed behind her at a safe distance. When she paused under a tree, the silver Casales uncle rumbled a low sound as he would attempt to stand over the girl - to place his paws on either side of her so no one thought that she might be an easy target.

"Pequeña bola de fuego*... what are you doing?" There was an edge of laughter to the older lions voice as his amethyst gaze cast around the territory, noting the combatants, but recognizing neither.

Awkwardly sitting there with little idea as to how this was going to go down, but she at least had a general idea as to who Tiamat would've wanted to win. From what she could recall, Firnen and the Lagoon might not have been straight allies but they were at least friendly... but right now that wasn't a piece of information that she remembered. There was too much grief on her mind to remember what had been and suddenly she felt herself hating the fact that she hadn't clung onto her friend harder. Hadn't been even more in her presence and could've prevented them being swept out to sea.

@Dagge appearing beside her gave her a bit of a spook but once she realized who it was she gave an exhausted smile and turned her gaze to those around them. Talking out of the side of her mouth in a quiet tone, I don't recall if Tiamat liked zhe Rainforest King. Perhaps Dagge would be able to enlighten her on the subject since she felt as though her entire brain had been drowned in the news ever since Tinuviel had delivered it. Bright eyes cast along the crowd as though trying to gauge what was going on around them. There weren't any fights breaking out which was usually how these things blew up.

However, she did manage to find her gaze locking onto someone. At first she thought it had been the boy she had seen at a few of the neutral hunts that she had attended and had said hello to, but it became increasingly clear that it wasn't him. The one she spotted was a bit away from her but she knew in just a few seconds that it was someone she had never seen or met. Do you know who zhat is? she asks Dagge, pointing her muzzle very quickly in @Sabre's direction. The lion seemed confident in where he was and what he was doing, so she supposed it was likely that he was a Firnen lion.

Claws ripped through flesh, fangs sliced through skin, and the amount of blood pooling beneath them was excitingly large. Much more than normal, which he'd note down as an interesting effect of the sap. And useful; more bloodloss meant quicker exhaustion, and she was proving to be a stubborn thing. Seemed like a sensible lion would tend to the substance slowly trying to kill them rather than keep up a fight, but maybe she hadn't fully grasped the danger yet.

Was she bleeding inside yet? It was a pity he couldn't tell without opening her up.

As was typical of him by now, when jaws came at his face, his chin tucked and his first response was automatic. Ryker would not shy away from her incoming teeth, but instead attempt to ram the hard flat of his skull into her face or muzzle, depending on the angle she kept at. It would result in bruising across his forehead, but it was something he was well accustomed to dealing with.

Again, instead of planting his paw back on the ground immediately, he'd reach forward again. He'd try to hook his left foreclaws into the same wounds he'd managed in her inner front leg, even as it lifted, trying to worsen them and drive the poison deeper into her, or at the very least increase the bloodloss.

His own right forepaw remained planted firmly in place, even as her claws connected with it and he felt the fresh, stinging, heat of new wounds. At least there the blood blended with black.

The red giant was in fact slowing, her limbs feeling heavy. When Ryker slammed his rather hard skull into her jaws - she felt her fangs snap closed hard against each other with a click, the taste of blood flooding her mouth. How badly she'd bitten her own tongue or cheeks, she didn't know. Only that the attack combined with the blood loss had her stumbling backwards.

Kireena flailed her front limbs wildly, in both a bid to try to keep her feet beneath her - and steady.. as well as to perhaps leave flashing talons and heavy paws as a deterrent in keeping the other from getting closer. Her front leg was bleeding again - cuts over cuts and she wondered what she looked like.. Probably not very good...

Her vision tilted, the sound going out of the world as her ears rang with the force of the impact on her skull. Hind limbs scrambled to stay beneath her - to keep her upright. She felt a tree root beneath a paw - dimly as if it was only an afterthought, trying to focus her attention on her opponent.

Slowed movements, visible disorientation - though that could have been from his head connecting with hers, sometimes difficult to tell, there. He'd definitely employ the poison whenever he could plan ahead. The first test hadn't been this exciting, but maybe he just hadn't used enough then.

A flailing paw caught him across the left side of his neck as his own forepaw found the ground again. Fresh pain, fresh wounds, fresh blood, but she'd stumbled and he wasn't about to pass up an opportunity like that. Was this a rising panic in her? How exciting!

Ryker would surge forward, following her, and attempt to ram his right shoulder into her right shoulder where it connected with her chest - regardless of whether she dropped her right forelimb down or if it forced it over his back. He wanted to shove her back, force her to trip over already unstable limbs, and force her to the ground. Or, failing that, into the large tree looming ominously behind her.

Paws scrambled, and the red giant felt her left hind limb slide - stepping into the slick, slightly hot puddle that had gathered beneath her feet. It felt like time stopped. Her hindquarters collapsed as her feet came out from under her at the same time as Ryker's body collided with her own. Kireena felt the bruising to her right shoulder - wondered briefly with the added poison if he would see the bruise blossom instantly beneath her fur... Probably not. As she fell, the druidess attempted to slash her front left limb through the very same puddle she had slipped in, trying to swing dirt, rocks, and blood alike up towards the dark pelted lion that ruled the rainforest. She had few other options as her form collided heavily with the tree, knocking the breath from her lungs as she struggled to maintain at least part of her body upright by way of front limbs. Spots of white danced in her vision, her jaws parting as a breathless sound ripped from her breast - unfocused.. silence.. Was she between times? She was sure that sound and time would begin again soon - but for that split second.. She wondered.. Was she dead? They Come When They Are Called

Abaddon stands with feet splayed out, head low, just like she'd seen her father do many times, her heart was pounding in her chest and she could barely keep from trembling as she glowered at each trespasser. How dare anyone try and take her home from her? They would have to wrench it from her cold dead hands, well, maybe not that far but shed not go willingly.

Her father arrives soon after and the battle begins, she side steps away to watch, eyes lighting up as she takes in the sounds of battle, the sight of it, the result is almost mouth-watering, her internal lust for blood aching somewhere inside her.

She almost doesn't notice when another joins her, she side glances and sees lilac fur with white splotched, and she side steps to touch her fur against his, seeking comfort in the small but intimate gesture, ""I don't know.."" She answered his question softly, though the sounds of the fight drowned out her words to anyone trying to listen.

Once again, she comes into the challenge at the end of the fighting, her eyes scanning the two fighters, then she lays eyes on the two cubs who must be the Zebra mans offspring, a smirk forms at their "defensive" display over their home. She takes note of that and spots her husband, eyeing the woman next to him before taking his free side, her lips brushing his ear as she speaks quietly, ""Look how fierce those cubs are. They'd make good betrothal for ours, yes?""

She pulls back to look up at him, proud of herself, she would find ways to raise the Rike to glory, however that may be, whether marriage betrothal with kings children, or by slaying the enemy, she would not stop until her late husbands wish was set in stone.

And that started with her new husband and his rise to power.

The pines, they often whisper

They whisper what no tongue can tell

While observing, the bronze girl's attention had been focused on following every movement, every little step, every change in posture. Large paws tippytapped on the ground, kneading the softened jungle floor, floppy ears pinning back. How could she just stand and watch? But what could she do?

There was much she wanted to do. But all she could do was stand and watch. Watch and learn. And as much as she wanted to be sure on what injuries were suffered, to figure out how to make it better later, she couldn't stop the kneading dance of her front paws, the way her hackles rose each time the oddly patterned male landed another blow. She could see that something wasn't right, understood enough that someone large and strong shouldn't tire that quickly. Though still young, deep growls sounded from her and eventually she had enough of merely sitting by.

Still growling, she began to stalk the sidelines, fur raising on her neck, fangs bared. Her attention was still on the fight, though she also paid more attention to her surroundings, watching, waiting, claws digging into the earth with each step.
