Arkyn can feel his weight push and overpower her, causing for Sunder to stutter and pivot. It was enough room that he needed, and as his right front paw succeeded in wrapping around her own right hind leg the beat would not hesitate to allow for his claws to rip into the thin flesh. Paw hits the ground hard as his own body moves its position, hips drawing to the left to try to attempt to get her more in his peripheral, but not before a kick from said hind leg causes for his grip to dislodge. He feels the back claws hit and tear into the side of his front right leg, leaving small wounds that began to pool blood as quickly as the wound was created.

Salivating jaws open and attempt to snap forward, attempting to bite anywhere on the center of her body. As jaws attempt its strike, left front paw rises and strikes forward, attempting to smack the woman's back with a harsh blow, claws unsheathed in an attempt to hook and drag down her right side. Muscles in his hind legs tense and help him keep his stability, narrowed eyes sighted on only his target.

It was the call that had her terrified - her heart hammering in her breast. The dark pelted lioness cowered in her chosen den when the roar came rolling across the sands of Caladan. Her tails coiled tightly to her hip, clamping down as she quivered.

Still, she needed to know and crept forward, slinking slowly along the sands, low enough that her belly fur dragged the golden grains. Ears pinned to her skull as eyes of silver and blue turned to stare at the fighting pair locked in battle.

Gaze cast across those gathered and she swallowed convulsively. She didn't recognize many...maybe Kvare but he terrified her almost as much as the fighting that was happening in front of her. Galaxia shuffled to the shade of a tree and cowered near the base...a shadow tucked in amongst the sandy grounds.""

She pauses, waiting for the hammer to fall. She can feel her back claws pushing against the man's shoulder, the skin giving beneath her impact, but in the next moment she is feeling an immense amount of pain when his teeth latch onto the top of her ribcage. Simultaneously his large paw pummels her back and she can already feel the bruise forming on her spine. She nearly bows from the impact; a rush of breath being exhaled. His claws send angry lacerations down her back causing a stream of blood to mar her muddied fur and Sunder can do nothing but feel the pain. Her focus is now on his teeth that have managed to wrench a chunk of skin from her side. She feels the salt-water air immediately in the open wound, burning burning. It's enough to nearly drive her mad, and piss her off in the same breath. Sunder attempts to throw both hindlegs back swiftly in a harsh kick, being sure to tuck her legs back beneath her afterwards. She wanted to kick him as hard as she could but there was no telling her attempt would actually be successful. Suddenly she was feeling crowded. Her heart hammers in her chest, claws unsheathed defensively as she tries to establish some space between them. Shifting her weight, she attempts to lurch forwards and away. If there was space she could reevaluate, and hopefully counter again. A feral snarl of satisfaction vibrates throughout his whole body as his jaws clamp down tightly on the center of her spine, his paw smacking next to his bite on her spine while his claws scored down her right side over her ribcage. The feeling of ripping flesh was what spurs him, paw slamming back to the ground once damage was done. before Arkyn could retaliate, he could feel Sunder prying herself away. It brought with it a chunk of her flesh being torn away, and as the Viking felt the small piece in his mouth another muffled snarl sounds.

Spitting it out just as the lioness was beginning to attempt to run off, Arkyn's mind thinks quickly and he is lurching forward and after her. He attempts to throw both forepaws toward her hindquarters, attempting to hook his claws into the meaty flesh and hopes to jerk her back toward him. He is now using his back legs to help keep him balanced, hoping that his attempt lands where he could then attempt to push down onto her with his weight.

Being a little late to bear witness to the challenge, Daneri moved along the borders and tried to get a taste for what it was like here. Being prideless currently, she was trying to get an idea as to what living life in a pride was like. Clearly the band hadn't worked out but they were going to try another one and Danny was happy to be with her family. It just simply didn't quell her curiosities. So she moved alongside the borders until she found a very heavy scent and turned her head in to see that she had a direct sight to the fight. It was a little distant but she could make it out just fine.

Her eyes cast to the Cove that lay within, a cliffside spectacle that hung as a backdrop to the pride. No doubt that it was a coastal pride built on the sand and sea, but she could tell that this was why the place was aptly named and wished she could get a closer look at it without trespassing. She didn't want to cause any issue with the pride here but damn, did her curiosity bark in her ear trying to get her to break the rules.

Instead she shook her head and watched the fight that was going on. Some lion fighting a lioness, the guy's paws swinging outwards to catch the woman's flank and she wonders if she is slow enough for the guy to reach or if she might out-maneuver him and make him look the fool.

There is a moment where she thinks she might get some room between them, but Arkyn is remarkably swift and hot on her heels. He lurches outward and Sunder attempts to dodge his grab, moving quickly to her left and forward. She doesn't go unscathed, she can feel his claws as they rake against her flanks, sending angry scores of lacerations downward. She knows now that if she even has a chance of defending herself properly, she must turn to face him somehow. She can feel his closeness, the proximity stifling and in a last-ditch effort attempts to kick outward again with her hind legs, hoping to send her claws backward in an effort to dissuade him from coming closer. She's not sure how close he is, or whether or not she'll be able to out-maneuver him, but she does attempt to twist and face him then, tucking her hindquarters beneath her so she can turn just enough to send her left forepaw outward, attempting to swat at his face with claws unsheathed. She's on the right track to hopefully facing him, but it doesn't come without a cost. Her entire back and flanks are on fire, sand grating at the open wounds and causing an ocean of pain to ripple through her. She's surviving off of adrenaline alone, and the hope that she might just be able to defend her pride. Her home. Although he is unable to get a good grip and pull her towards him, the deep lacerations that he leaves on her hindquarters would have to satisfy him for now. Arkyn's paws both come back to the sandy ground just as Sunder begins to maneuver herself. He receives the kick to his chest, and if it weren't for thick mane that caught the brunt of it it may have sliced at his chest and throat. But instead, thick tendrils are yanked and send a pinching feeling throughout his upper half, a feeling that he'd rather never have happen again.

Narrowed eyes catch as she's attempting to throw her left front paw at him, coming right for his face. He feels claws dig into his right cheek just as he hoists up his own left forepaw. It attempts to strike forward, attempting to give the woman a hard smack in her face - mimicking her. His toes would curl in hopes to sink and pull into the tender cheek skin, and open jaws attempt to snap at her extended left front limb, attempting to gain a hold on any part he could. Blood trickles down his cheek and the colossal feels nothing but a blinding rage, a sensation that pushes him to continue and to come out on top.

When the call came, the pale lioness had been making her way back to her den after a long night. But the nature of the call had the fur of her neck standing on end. With a faint growl she turned from her path, following the noise towards the border. Ears flattened against her skull as she snarled at anyone who would even consider crossing the border if they were not of the Cove.

Claws dug into the sand as she stood tall, tail lashing behind her as she watched the fight in silence. Her gaze briefly landed on @Sabran, giving the woman a nod in greeting before she continued to pace along the border. Elongated fangs bared in warning to anyone who'd dare to approach. But then she spotted @Galaxia and immediately her demeanor changed.

She slowly and quietly approached the curled up lioness, lowering herself to the ground nearby. "Hey," Lagertha greeted her in a quiet whisper, keeping her voice as she spoke. "We won't let him take our home."

Her icy gaze narrows on Arkyn as her claws manage to make contact with his right cheek, the satisfaction is short-lived though when he counters by mimicking her own move. His slap is twice as hard and causes stars to dance across her vision, meanwhile she can already feel her cheek beginning to swell and small droplets of blood emerging on the surface. It was busted and aching, but she wasn't giving up, not yet. Not ever. His teeth clamp down on her left forearm and she hisses as she feels her bone being ground beneath the force of his jaw, the skin easily being shredded. Rivulets of blood stream down her appendage and in one final move Sunder decides to make good use of @Marja's suggestion. Quickly she would lunge forward, teeth aimed at Arkyn's left eye in hopes of clipping the sensitive skin there, if she was lucky maybe it might even leave a scar for him to remember her by! Provided her aim was actually accurate. It was clear though that the battle was coming to a conclusion, and although Sunder did not know whether she was victorious or not, all she did know was that she gave it her all, surely her wounds were enough to show for that. Summer's clear day brings beguilingly official summons. "Disaster often strikes in the dead of night, but in the day all proceeds as tradition predicts." Pointed, sun-scoured ears fan and gnarled paws follow the echo. Nostrils flare in earnest difficulty. Toward the borders the lion travels, swinging gaze around as though momentarily lost, knowing the general direction but not the particulars that may be found. "Little crowd...." voice notes without tone of condemnation or approval. The small lion paused and narrowed deep blue eyes upon the fight, squinting through the daylight.

The medic retreated from the fringes and trotted along the rocky beginnings that led up from the beach to the grassier shore overlook. Here the earth established few nutrients amidst the struggling sand. Plants stuck up scarcely, and those that managed the conditions waxed with the long leaves of succulents. Imago tried to pull at one aloe plant which remained stuck among the rocks. Yet the lion tried another and this one came loose without breaking too many steps prematurely. Tail shot up accompanied by a pleasant chuff. With these bundles in a jaw hold, the lion trotted back toward the Cove side. Safe among those with similar scent, the medic flopped down with a huff (weak, skinny-fat form unaccustomed to anything) and secured the leaves under rooted front paws. "He got her from behind...." brows furrowed, gaze tracing along the ripped fur along her back and rump.
