Someone comes for him - and Roarke is ready. The little bastard comes head on, a low snarl, and from his lunge Roarke can see that he knows how to use his smaller size. Delighted, the giant snarls in return, dropping his head and opening his jaws.

Recluse latches onto his shoulders and those claws dig in. Roarke's open jaws attempt to latch around Recluse's left shoulder as he digs his teeth into Roarke's chest, thick mane protecting him mostly from the attack. The giant attempts to wrap his right foreleg around his opponent's back and drag his claws down his spine, attempting to rip into the skin.

@Weimar 's demeanor changes; yelping as his ears drooped, retreating away from where Melania had rather rudely snatched the food from his. She felt her heart pang in regret, and her first instinict is to give it back. To soothe him, assure him she didn't mean to...

But she did mean to.

She aims to throw the meat to the side, and hastily moves another step forward to grab at a fresh boar kill, jaws hooking around the leg to start pulling it back when the cub's words struck her. Ears fold back, and she pauses in her task. "Go kill another one. Replace it. Prey come and go, there is only one you." A subtle threat - she hoped it scared him off for good, eyes staring at him to see if he understood her or not.

However, there was a protector lingering over the cub today.

Eyes peel over to the grey lion, small, his pelt a similar shade of her own - but he wore a mask. Curiosity snatched her, and a spark of fear began to light in her gut as he moved closer.

Time moved in a faster speed as he snarled at the cub to leave, shaking the mask off his face to reveal a rather terrifying sight. Her eyes visually widen, jaw gaping slightly as her ears press back. Run, run now! The urge to flee became her, and her feet began to try and retreat. One, two... she didn't make it even three steps before he leapt at her, slamming into her with a surprising force for his size.

Claws rake across her face, tearing through her tender skin, scarring the features that had never been so violently touched. Tears well, and Melania attempts to swipe her own paw back at him, claws unsheathed as she aimed for his face back.

Self defense, right?

Eisa knows she cannot win this fight.

She is no fool. He is larger, older, and more experienced than she and she carries the scars to prove it. She also knows that she cannot simply allow anyone to fight in her stead while she stands idly by. Eisa hears his laugh, and doubles down- digging inside herself deep for some sense of inner strength. She thinks of her mother in that fleeting moment, and how she doesn't back down.

Eisa prays she will not see her be defeated. Eisa prays in those seconds, as teeth grasp her neck that her family will not see her fail.

Her jaws splay open, a roar of pain leaving her, and her grip on his is lost- as his teeth sink into her neck. Blindly, she lashed out with her paw again, aiming to slice into his side of the same leg, she'd attacked a moment ago. To do something, a true blind reaction to the pain- though she hopes somehow she will manage to damage the male. Even if it is just his leg.

She knows she is losing, she just hopes- somehow she won't have to look up at him in defeat- that she'll find unconsciousness, and not have to suffer that humiliation.

Soon, there came a flash of red and the adrenaline spike was like pulling on a warm, familiar, pelt. He turned toward the movement, and the words, and...well, if he was really honest he didn't remember her. Not fully. There was a feeling at the back of his mind like he should, but that had been a while ago and he hadn't seen her since. So, instead, it was a wicked laugh that split his face into an eager grin, "Should I!?"

Claws aimed for his face, and Ryker would aim to intercept the blow. His head angled, jaws trying to clamp down hard around her left wrist (potential claw damage pending success/failure). This was...well, it was probably the very first time since arrival that he had a good excuse to really go all out, and it was thrilling. He wanted to crush fragile bones between teeth, taste the blood of an enemy, and the the only thing that mattered as far as her identity was the fact she'd struck first. Though he did note the scent of the mountain on her fur.

His right forepaw would lift in an attempt to hook his own poisoned claws into her left armpit and rip toward himself, along the inner line of her upper limb to her elbow.

All around her, fights were beginning to happen. Blood was being shed, claws were unsheathed, and fangs glinted underneath the moonlight. The rain drenched her coat, and finally something happened. Claws caught her left cheek, and she snarled in response. She couldn't help but laugh about it though as hot pain bloomed upon her cheek. Finally, someone was going to contest her, someone was going to fight her for what she had done.

She looked at her new enemy, a brute she had never seen before. "Finally," she growled, "Let's dance!" she snarled. Without another thought, she attempted to snap her jaws around the very paw that had smacked her right in the face.

A quick bite, a hindrance to his balance, as his paw had begun its movements back towards him @Hexa's teeth found enough leverage to puncture into one of his toes. Blood no doubt dripping from it and with a quick reaction, he attempted to contract his toes to try and damage whatever he could within the inside of her mouth. Perhaps in his own way to try and get her to relinquish his paw, too. Jafar had very little interest in the drama that always seemed to be held at pride challenges and these war/raid and what not was not different. Perhaps he hated them even more because it meant that lions thought that they were the one's above everyone else. That one side was better than the other but truly, no one was. At the end of this life, they would all still bleed red but life had never seemed to build minds the same way.

Perhaps the sweetest part of all this, was that he smelt @Cassandra present. Perhaps it was just the scent lingering on Eisa, something he never noticed until being so close to her. But the idea of defeating her daughter, taking her away from the safety of home and into his claws... it pleased him too much. The sinister side of him purred at just the thought of him pulling it off, dragging Eisa from all of her family... it is what numbs the claws slicing down his leg, worsening his wounds and causing him to stumble, barely maintaining his upright stance. But his grip is obtained; his fangs had sunk into her neck, and Aeistrios aimed to thrash without mercy, though nothing enough to be deadly... because then he'd lose his fun. Despite every inch of her being didn't want to get involved and just watch from afar, it wasn't until the enemies started trying to steal her friends. While Tulie completely thought it was annoying and over the top with all of the intrusions that happened at the borders of Lorien, this was something different. The first to be challenged for was Renfri but a large brute launched against the white lioness in defense for the Heiress. But another had called for theft of Reah and she felt for her Queen. And she wasn't the only one.

She stepped out of her hidden position and launched herself forward towards the male who called for her Queen. Not on this day if she could help it. Growling, the tiny lioness spread out her claws and bared her elongated canines. Like a kitten attacking a broom. While Roarke was preoccupied by Recluse's attack, Tulie ATTEMPTED to launch herself onto the white lion's butt. Her claws ATTEMPTED to dig into his flesh like a cowboy trying to stay on a horse. Her eyelids narrowed and ears pinned back, her tail slashed behind her as she TRIED to just dig, dig, dig into his flesh with her sharp claws.

It wasn't long before someone did come along to challenge Roarke's claim. Unfortunately for the young girl who dearly wanted to test out her venomous bite, the man who appeared was a relative of hers. Recluse is conveniently immune to her poison, being a carrier himself. As he rushed the big man with the red mane she caught the oleander-like smell that was as much a part of his scent as it was of hers.

Mother and father probably would not approve of fighting family, but today he had chosen the wrong side of the conflict and he would need to pay the price for standing against her pride and its allies.

Recluse dug his claws into Roarke's shoulders and attempted to bite his chest while the larger man tried to latch his teeth into the smaller man's shoulder. Viper zipped out of her hiding place, abandoning her sneaky position. "His bite will poison you!" she squealed at Roarke, because she didn't know if he knew that or not. She was planning on working her way around the two and get behind Recluse, but then another lion showed up. This was a woman who did not carry the oleander-like scent of her family. This lioness was fair game.

She went for Roarke's rear end, not noticing Viper as she emerged from hiding. This was perfect for the little snake. The woman had a tail, so as she focused on trying to dig into Roarke, Viper aimed her teeth at that tail and launched herself inward to grab it with those venomous little teeth of hers.

She was almost a year old, so not tiny, but definitely shorter than everyone else involved. A child among adults, by far.

She was able to snag his paw, and her ruby-red eyes then narrowed as she stared fiercely at the male in front of her. He moved in a way that was awful though and she quickly spat out his toes. Blood spilling from her tongue, she snarled once more, hatred apparent and painted on her face. All she wanted to do was to draw blood, make it spill, and gush from her enemies. Hexa had never truly felt so violent prior to the lands of Amaryllis, but Aeistrios had given her a reason to. In a way, he had turned her into a bloodthirsty monster but she didn't care.

She knew she needed to attack again and quickly she attempted to rake her claws against his left shoulder.
