They collide and Nephthys hisses from the impact, knowing well enough that the bruising will soon blossom across her chest. It stings, but not nearly as much as the claws that find purchase in her skin. Blood begins to spill from where the claws have lacerated the skin, but she thinks the move is foolish. Rearing onto his hind legs makes him vulnerable and she seeks to take advantage of it by attempting to drop her paw back to the ground. She attempts to lunge forward again, hoping to catch him while his front legs are still in the air (or attached to her). She wants to throw him off balance enough that he drops his paws. Nephthys attempts to snake her jaws forward, attempting to grab the bridge of his nose between her teeth.

Storms were of no surprise to her, out here on the coast. They were harsher than they were inland, and one had to be prepared for whatever might come of them. She remembered well the storm that had separated her from her family when she was but a cub, leaving her with her uncle Wodnik to get her out of the pride to safety, though she was torn away from even him by flying debris. It had almost been like reliving that night, when the storm had come through. It had all amounted to the same, when things cleared and calls rang out.

So much for that, eh? she commented to Sunder as she approached the woman, the only one she knew within the pride save for the male she saw fighting. Might as well come see who was going to take charge of the place. It wasn't like she had anywhere else to go, that she knew of.

"When are you going to give up on the Cove and come live in Wolfbron?" Xerxes asked as he sauntered towards @Dysnomia. The man hadn't seen his sister in quite a while, but it was disappointing to learn she was still floundering around following others instead of leading a pride on her own as was her birthright. Not that he really should care, all things considered, but he was a good older brother or some shit like that. Xerxes came to sit by his sister and flicked an ear towards her, offering no explanation as to his disappearance whatsoever.

She swore it was not long ago that she had been here to witness a fight for this Cove. Truthfully, she didn't know what was so special about it, except that apparently everyone wanted it except for those who had lived here before- she guessed. Aideen's arrival is met with an ongoing fight between a male and a female, and automatically she rooted for the female- because badass females had to stick together! But she really didn't care who won, only stood there watching the battle hungrily, wondering when it would be her turn to have a fight to win that world around them was watching. Well, in the meantime, she supposed she could learn something from what she was seeing- right?

That was....annoying. It seemed he'd only just solidified the alliance between his and Gauthier's prides, and the cove was already facing a - well, it had sounded like a claim rather than a challenge.

Leaving Firnen, he detoured along the black sand beach and washed himself in the sea, rinsing away the scent of jungle. A roll in the paler sands as he approached Caladan further coated him in the scent of coast - salt water and sand.

As he reached the territory itself, it became obvious something had happened to drive the pride out and wipe away the borders. And there were already two lions fighting over the place, but at least he recognized one of them. Tail twitched in agitation as he skirted the crowd, moving between different spots of cover until he settled within a large clump of beach grass just within the once-borders. He didn't recognize the lioness, but the male was noted as the one who'd congratulated him on his own claim and sparked the idea of allying with the cove in the first place.

Caelum had been drawn in from the sounds of a fight nearby, and his interest was piqued when he realized it came from what used to be the Cove. Their neighbors pride had disbanded - swept away from a storm that did little to the Lagoon, but did much to the Cove, driving its members out into the lands that surrounded their sweet, little territory.

And now, like vultures drawn to a fresh kill, those seeking to lead a pride gathered in and around its borders - two fought for the right to lead in the midst of it all. Caelum knew neither of them, and found @Tiamat and @Dagge nearby. But @Fernweh had beat him to Tiamat's free side, so he saddled up and stood just behind his queen, squeezing between them just slightly to murmur in her ear. "Do you want me to take any of them for the Lagoon?" His claws itched for chaos, but he knew no one here. It was only on her command.

Two things that Marja has never so deeply experienced- as she feels right now. Gromm was supposed to care for his Marja and he was not. She had come to the Cove for some sort of connection, and yet (very vague because of unfinished threads/timelines) again she has been chased from a land.

Her arrival is not met with her usual fanfare of yelling, it is met with a stormy expression and icy cold rage.

"Будь проклято это место." She snarls softly, her eyes hard, her tail lashing as she watches the fight. She will only hang around to see who wins, and curse them too. If Marja can't be happy, and if Gromm didn't care about her... why should she care about anyone else.

She tried to quell the rising nerves that coursed through her. Keligan was more than capable of handling his own, so then why did she feel this amount of dread? Perhaps it was because she couldn't stomach seeing him hurt, or maybe it was that Sunder knew she wouldn't be able to control herself if something were to happen to him. Her claws kneeded the sand beneath her, trying to distract herself. Thankfully @Dysnomia joined her before she could completely succumb to her thoughts, So much for that, eh? She breathes out a sigh before turning her attention to the woman, "Keligan won't go easy on her. This is our home." She says softly, gaze softening towards the woman who had very easily become her friend in the months they had lived in the Cove together. "But should the gods prove him unworthy to keep it we will likely seek shelter elsewhere. The lagoon I'm assuming. Would you join us? You've become like family to me, silly as that may sound." She says to her with a grin, though her gaze was quick to shift back to the fight. She didn't want to take her eyes off of him, her blue eyes watching every movement with intense focus. "We shouldn't have to scatter. We should stick together." She says it with conviction then, knowing it to be true.art — code — bg

The rise and fall of prides was of no concern to the giant, whom swept through the land with little purpose to dog at his heels save for that given to him by Alizabeth. The decimation of the Cove however did hold quite some interest for the obsidian male, his broad paws crossing into the territory without hesitation, passing by the throng of observers to discover the whereabouts of the object of his desire.

@Dysnomia stood with others, a lion and lioness unknown to him, conversing about matters his eager ears cannot discern. Not at least until he looms close, stepping around the trio to stand in front of his wife and posessively pressing his mouth up against his ebony wife's cheek. A rumble caught in the ghoul's throat as he sought to grasp at her ear with his teeth. ""Is it time for us to be together once again?"" He asks lustily, caring not for those in her company.

Ignoring the bruising that he felt from the impact and the sting of her claws in his flesh, Keligan felt the flow of blood against his claws as they found their marks. Grunting at her pushing into him, his claws raked downward in her flesh where they had hooked as his front legs landed back to the ground, he parted his jaws fully in an ATTEMPT prevent her from grabbing his nose bridge and instead ATTEMPTED to bite her entire muzzle. His LEFT front claws moved back up as he ATTEMPTED to slice at her face. His eyelids remained narrowed and ears pinned against his skull as his gaze watches her. His hind legs shifted to help balance him with claws out into the ground, ready to push off if needed.
