Yeah, she may have caused deeper damage to his thigh with her kicking, and sure, she had managed to slash her claws down over his eye, but seeing as how he continued to tower over her, applying more and more pressure to her throat, it was hardly something she could feel giddy about. Who knew that the looming shadow of death could be such a buzzkill.

Her rear paws attempted to kick him again, but with waning strength. They struck out without any sense of true direction or obvious planning. A dark haze leached into her vision, darkening the sky beyond his melon of a head. The prick himself dissolved into little more than a purple blob as she started to slip away.

Disoriented, the imp lay blinded and deafened, wholly imperceptive to his ongoing assault. She hardly responded to the slash across her face beyond a fleeting wrinkle of her nose and a flutter of her distant, dimming eyes. The snap of her hyoid bone under his teeth went unacknowledged too while her paws limply fell away from her opponent, indicating to any onlookers: she was unconscious, maybe even dead! … but most definitely unconscious.

The press of Mirime’s paw on his dark shoulder caused Mithril to pause and look back, before his focus was directed elsewhere. He blinked suddenly, needing a moment to comprehend the scene before him: their battered mother, crawling on the sand to reach them. “Mom— ?” the boy squeaked, his voice thin around the thick lump in his throat.

If he’d heard @Isla ♔ and her offer, he in no way acknowledged her. She was forgotten entirely while he scrambled on the sand, presumably with his sister @Mirime behind, quickly rushing to where his mother lay on the beach. “Mom? Aufwachen!” he pleaded when he reached her side. ”Wake up!” A name was called — @Tinúviel — and the dark boy peered up at the victor with unease in his pale eyes. He could hardly blame her for defending her home, but seeing what she had done to @Fernweh made him feel anxious in her presence.

“HELP!” he shouted out as he looked back at the crowd. He was unfamiliar with Tinúviel, and had no way of recognizing her, so he yelled for someone — anyone — to help.

She remains silent as she watches the battles unfold, as the beach turns into a war torn thing- as war seems to simply erupt around her. She remains on the opposite side of the scent line, her eyes on the main battle- then on a few others- scuffles as she watches, attempting to absorb all the information before her like a sponge. When the lioness she assumes is the Queen of the land, based on her words, emerges successful- Eisa notes that. It was time to take her leave, and she stood up and quietly turned around and made her exit across the sands and back towards the Brook.

Ghyslaine watches as war erupts around them. As things shift and turn on the sand, as bodies clash and writhe. She merely observes, remaining somewhat alert in case anyone decides to bother with her- but she does not expect it. Who did she have to fear? She had so many friends on both sides of this escalating conflict, anyway. Her eyes do not miss as a Mire male moves towards Leonie, and she watches then as Tiamat wins the fight.

She is moving across the sands as the Queen sinks into them, a scowl on her face when she notes her opponent, and the terrified child with her. @Mithril -- catches her attention, and she moves closer towards him. "Rest easy, child. Tiamat's healers will tend to her, she is a fair Queen." She would breath, coming to stand near him, her words soft and warm. "Your mother is a good fighter." She said, for their benefit- and she would remain there, the maternal instinct within her warring with her desire to go check on her friend. She did not need to know the cub, the mother, or anyone else in order to offer comfort to a child who had witnessed his mother slip into unconsciousness.

She would stand by the cub, until a healer arrived, a silent form of protection for the children and their unconscious mother.

Nero wasn't surprised when Tiamat pulled out victorious. All things considered, she wasn't someone to fuck around with unless you wanted to find out. It was why he'd always felt she'd clashed with his mother: two sides of the same coin. One of those sides had, admittedly, yelled eat my ass and made Nero want to crawl in a hole and die, but as long as he was allowed to stick around at least he could keep an eye on her fight. That, and Alabaster's. He felt bad the big guy had been singled out, honestly. He was just so.. cool and calm. Where the hell was Ransom when there was a fight? The lion noticed a second too late that @Ghyslaine had gotten up and moved. Dutiful husband he was, Nero followed in order to make it quite clear he was there to support his wife. He frowned at the unconscious body of Fernweh. He couldn't exactly take her back to the summit, could he? He weighed his options before deciding it wasn't worth it to drag her ass back to the mountain.

"It's alright, kiddo," he said to @Mithril. "Sometimes after a fight you just get so tuckered out your body needs to sleep immediately. She'll wake up soon. Does she like flowers? Maybe we can pick some so she has something pretty to see when she wakes up." A quick glance over his shoulder to the fight with Alizabeth and Alabaster was spared before he returned his attention back onto the cub.

"Yah, ya are!" She yells, laughing still even as she feels him attempt to adjust his jaws, of which she would give him no opportunity to. Her shoulder juts up, attempting to push into his mouth rather than letting him grip her scruff - he'd have to go pretty far to get that piece of her, much less work to pick her up - given she was in an upright position OVER his face. Even still, with his moving jaws, her flesh was ripping - the white fur stained bright red.

Alizabeth would keep her own jaws very focused on his face, teeth attempting to snap for his eye once more - or rather, the opposite one she'd been going for before. Blinding him with his own blood seemed appropriate for one serving under the batshit insane Tiamat. How many gullible fucks had she convinced she wasn't a petty bitch? Alizabeth grunts as her talons attempt to keep their grip on the back of his neck, trying to dig in further with his movements.

He felt Nephthys turn as Alaric spoke, lip curled ever so slightly at the clipped tone. Perhaps despite his own anger towards Alaric, it was possible he was even more so because of the callous way he treated his supposed friend and the argument he knew would happen once they were on their way back home. His gaze would turn back to Tinúviel, waiting for her to make the decision, would she fight him? No. Alaric would move forward and she would avert her gaze, stepping back. He resisted the urge to roll his eyes. Cowed, a dog brought to heel by its master. It saddened him, she was so much more than that, so much stronger than that.

His ear would turn at the Scottish voice that spoke up, though not directed to him- but to Caillen. Ronin would turn to leave, letting his mismatched gaze find Slaine briefly, sharp gaze missing none of the tired stoic-ness of her expression. Controlled and elegant. As diplomatic as a queen could be surrounded by chaos. Yet, there was something that was off. It made the short fur beyond his shoulders rise slightly, but despite wanting to go to her, he would merely nod to his ex-wife. That flicker of pain fleeting and well masked as he turned his attention to their daughter. Ushering her away to safety in the chaos.

He’d pause at the edge of it all, seeing @Fernweh fall, he would frown, saddened. He’d hoped she would win, for her sake- and theirs. No matter. If everything went as planned, he would heal and Tiamat and her Lagoon would be neighbors. Trapped between the ocean and a now declared enemy.

The tension bubbled, boiling to the top of the cauldron, threatening to spill over. The queen would arrive to take on the challenger, but aside from a glance from the stormy blue gaze of the witch, the ocean creature barely paid her any mind. Her attention was focused on the painted man and his red partner and the pair that stood against them. Her toes twitched, she didn’t need her casting bones to cast this question. Would the woman fight? Tongue rolled over her lips, it was a fifty-fifty shot. She would or wouldn’t but despite the anger in her eyes, it didn’t feel to be enough to start a fight of such massive proportions.

It wasn’t. But it was the male that took the first jarring step back, saying something quietly to a younger girl and then to the woman next to him. A good soldier, he waited until they were clear before turning himself to leave. Interesting.

Her gaze would shift to the cub that yelled for help, it would appear the fight was over, the queen victor beckoning someone over to help administer aide to the fallen assailant. Things were done so ….oddly here. Everyone was told to leave and for now, Cordelia would do just that. Pleased that she was able to get a read on these strange folk before running into anyone.

Tha' is yer da's other wife, Tinúviel. She is sovereign o' this island. Now ye settle down an' keep out o' trouble. An ear flicks back as she surveys the woman her Mam had described, a scowl settling on her features for a moment. "Ah dinnae lik' her." She grumbles but remains quiet afterwards. Artis knew when to rebel and when not to run her mouth, now was one of those times. She had said her piece on the matter and that was that. Besides, she could feel the tension rippling off her Mam, better not push her closer to the edge. Her gaze would snap to the two women fighting, finally having it come to an end with the Lagoon queen keeping the land. "She won." Artis says simply, motioning towards Tiamat before turning her gaze back to @Sláine and waiting expectantly for her Mam's reaction. Everyone else melted into the background, a mere afterthought to the princess.

Caelum had not moved too much against Alabaster's shove. Only the sand gave way as it shifted against the combined weight of the heavily contrasting lions.
Teeth find the dark beast's forehead with a rather unsatisfing sink. Fighting was not something that The Warden enjoyed. It was painful, messy and ultimately unnecessary in his eyes. Civility was far more appealing but that would always be wishful thinking. No one wanted to settle disputes with words. No one wanted to hear anyone else out. Fangs and claws and blood were all these foreigners understood. A true disappointment in the Nesryn's eyes.

His opponent's paw swings up and snags Alabaster across the face, claws raking the delicate flesh of his cheek. On reflex, Bast released the other male's head. Caelum then sought to return to the ground and the white lion appeared in full agreement of that decision. He had been erected on his hind legs for too long. His body was not built for such a prolonged stance. Especially since he still had yet to rebuild his physique after having been sick. Muscles in his hind end were on fire as a consequence.

With all four of his own limbs also returned to the sand, Alabaster stood motionless for only a split second. As much as he would have loved a quick breather he wasn't about to allow the Lagoon lion any free opportunities. Red stained and dripping blood from his face and shoulders, Alabaster tried to push forward again. Unable to trust his hind legs to hold him up agqin he went for his hits one at a time instead of all at once. His right paw shot up and out in an attempt to strike Caelum across the left eye down to his nose. His left paw soon tried to follow in attempt to do the same to the right side of Caelum's face.
