Her queen would demand her rage to settle, the stranger beneath her fangs and claws would ask her to simply release herself form him- that he hadn't known. Unfortunately, the star speckled lioness would hear nothing but the pounding of her own heart in her ears, the violent thrumming a melody to the triumphant taste of iron as it touched her tongue. Rip him apart. the voice screeched, the lyrics to the symphony of violence that rung in the place of the world around her. It was beautiful..... And she would paint it red.

She would not release her grip, the jabbing of the larger male's elbow into her side far from the enticing pain the bad expected in return; it was infuriating.

The little demon would release her jaws and her right paw, aiming to attempt to slash her claws against his ribs, a wild grin on her face, Aha... Ahaha.... AhahHAHA! Her giggling became more aggressive as after her first attempt at slashing, she would attempt another swipe with the opposite paw, momentarily leaving herself standing on her two back paws.

Snarling the stone faced beast found her short uno reverse reply of his words to be irritating. Not as much as her jamming her shoulder into his jaws as he had been attempting to readjust his bite. Not that he could pick her up by the scruff like he had hoped anyways. Snarling at the pain of her sharp pointy things poking him in the face. Her fangs were so annoying and as he felt them bite into the skin above his other eye. Blood dripped down his face and he attempted to lower his head while trying to move forward. If he couldn’t pick her up from the scruff he would try something else. Attempting to dive under her he would try to knock her off her paws. Her claws in the back of his head hurt like hell and he wanted her off. As he tried to dive and knock her off her paws he also attempted to shift his weight to his right and slam them both down onto the ground. This fight was draining and he could feel the adrenaline that was pumping through him start to break and fade. He doesn’t know how much more he had left in him.

The way that @Léonie's body went limp was almost too much for Markus. He had got too excited and wanted to watch as the life drained away from his little friend, just like the rain did down a drain. The life and attitude that had once shouted itself across the Lagoon's battlefield had melted into the bloodied sand beneath the younger lioness. Her rear paws continue to kick, but with waning strength. The bitch still manages, unbeknownst to her, to kick him right in the balls with some attempt. His teeth continue to press against her neck until -

Snap!

Markus releases his grip as pain sears in between his legs and a low grunt escapes his lips. He stands over the motionless form of the Andal lioness, daring to watch her chest. He does not see it rise and fall and assumes he has done his job - so why wouldn't he push a little further? Markus does the unthinkable and, with a bloodied paw, moves her face away from the sand as though she were looking upward at him. He studies her features for a moment longer and smiles, almost grinning. It's a shame, He mumbles to himself. She was so pretty.

The beast then removes himself from atop her limp form and departs, keen to find someone to aid in his partial vision and to tend to his wounds. Little did the Rike know that Léonie was very much still alive.

A deep, heavy darkness embraced Léonie in its deathly veil. She was mercilessly relieved of the pain of the bleeding lacerations that had been now marred her body that lay limp in the sand. Blinded, she missed the way he smiled over her. Deafened, she did not hear his remark as he touched her face. The fiery lioness had been reduced to nothing more than an empty husk, her usual spark stolen away.

Léonie, who had been dramatic in life, proved to be even more theatrical in death.

A moment passed.
Then another …

Suddenly, unexpectedly, the once shrunken chest heaved. The imp wheezed and from her mouth, blood sprayed across the ground before her. She kicked at the sand, as if not realizing she’d already escaped death again. Her body moved on its own accord, thoughtlessly yet violently flailing on its side.

The episode was intense — yet brief. A final wave of adrenaline caused her to thrash once more, her claws digging trenches below her paws, where they quickly came to rest in as the darkness overwhelmed her once more.

He managed to elbow her in the side, which wasn't very effective by itself. He had hoped to beg sympathy from some of the surrounding lions - most particularly the pretty one - but only had time to flash one green saucered gaze around before the continued attacks of the small female forced his attention. He wasn't into hitting girls. Wasn't above it, either. She started it so she was fair game... except that she smelled like everyone else around here, so hurt her too bad and he'd be pounded into the sand by at least five of them. His black ears slant back and he whined with a sudden edge of pain as she released one of her paws... only to slash her right claws fully down his right side. "Damn lady! I'm bigger than you, you know!" his shouting had a point... other than to vent anger... squeezing his eyes narrowed, he chanced to attempt a snap at her right cheek, trying to grab anything he could to try to peel her off. His hindquarters pivoted around as soon as they felt her other paw release and he attempted to spin enough to be able to face her head on, though the huge oxen boy wasn't anywhere near quick enough to avoid taking shorter and deeper cuts along his right flank. Both sets of wounds bled most embarrassing and he had to wonder what would happen if she didn't stop... she hadn't hit anything vital yet, but was she trying to?

Lyric could not help the pleased smile that bloomed around the paw they held in their mouth, delighted at their own reflexes and at the art of their brawl. Her heart hammered in her chest so that she could hear it in her ears. Her chest heaved with the exertion of a predator succumbing to the wildest of its violent instincts. She felt alive.

They were only able to lower their paw into the sand to regain their footing before the other lion's own foot went plummeting downward. Lyric let out a startled yelp as they felt the tear of his claws against her gums, reflexively moving to release the limb even as it jerked her head slightly downward. Their mouth welled with blood from the thin lacerations across their teeth, disgust churning in their gut at the notion of having their mouth wounded, of all things. This was when his teeth clenched around the base of their skull, having avoided sending her head down plummeting with the paw. She snarled as adrenaline shot up her spine like ice despite the warm heat of his breath against her nape, instinctively jutting her right shoulder forward and attempting to knock it into the center of her opponent's chest to try and create more space between them.

"That's your cue to go," Lyric insisted flatly at her queen's orders, too preoccupied to fully appreciate that Tiamat had retained her hold upon the lagoon. Suddenly, they craned their neck to their left, attempting to snap their teeth against the right side of his throat.

She had scarcely settled in for the spectacle when Léonie's shrieking voice cut through the tension-filled air. "Move. MOVE," she urged as Sedona's mind struggled to buffer, her eyes darting around the scene as if to make sense of it. She grunted as the lioness pushed her roughly to the side, stumbling to catch herself as hardly a moment passed before a giant figure was bowling into Léonie's smaller frame.

"Léonie!" Sedona cried out despite herself, lifting herself to her paws as she stood to face the gruesome display. Her blood turned to ice as she could only watch the horrors before her – the tear of his claws, the way his weight crushed her. Every movement sent her stomach lurching with newfound terror, her vision blurring with hot, rageful tears. She forced her gaze to stay steady despite how it wavered, unable to bear the thought of abandoning her dearest girl for even a moment of this hell – not when she had been spared, and Léonie had not. Not when she could do nothing else to save her.

Breathless, beside herself, Sedona froze as a terrible sound shook her to her core. Some sounds could not be forgotten. Some sounds manage to lurk in the crevices of the brain, awaiting the very moment the eyes dared shut to play over again in a visceral loop. Sedona would not forget the sound of her most loved friend breaking. She would forever gag on that briny stench of lagoon.

Her expression twisted from gaping horror into a sharp rage in an instant, her ears ringing with pure hatred as the monster loomed over Léonie's crumbled figure, daring to touch her. Thoughtless, Sedona lurched forward in a protective hunch over the fallen lioness and attempted to slap the lion right across the face.

"¡Maldito cobarde!" You fucking coward! Sedona spat, her paternal language always pushing forward in the heat of emotion. "¿Solo lo suficientemente valiente como para luchar contra leonas jóvenes?" You're only brave enough to fight young lionesses, right? She hissed as he began his retreat, her fur bristled so the tiny lioness appeared about twice her actual size. She shook with haggard breaths, her gaze wide and crazed as she watched him. Sedona would remember him – every last detail she could commit to memory. She took in the sickening air of Ecrosia and of his scent, the godless sunset of his eyes, the frigid ice of his pelt. Nameless or not, Sedona Casales would see him pay in blood.

She did not know when those haggard, rageful breaths had turned into pathetic, shaking sobs. The lioness shriveled by the moment, her expression withering into shaken horror as she finally dared to crane her neck in search of her Léonie. Sedona recoiled.

"L-Léonie," she gasped, tucking herself stubbornly at her friend's side. "No – Léonie, no!" Sedona pressed her nose into the fragrant warmth of her pelt, intoxicated and enraged at its familiarity even in death. She wrapped her paws around her frame, daring to prod at her – daring to search for any signs of life as her shaking sobs continued.

Wheeze.

"L-Léonie?!" Sedona shrieked, her eyes wide and wild as she recoiled from the sputtering corpse. "Léonie! Vete a la mierda! Vete a la mierda!" Fuck you! Fuck you! Hope erupted into a bubbling laugh as she crouched there beside her, the silver of her gaze shining with delighted relief even as her closest friend coughed up scarlet death and seized up upon the sands. Léonie was broken, sure, but Sedona could fix broken. She was not dead. She lingered there for a few moments, allowing the girl to cycle through her shock before ultimately falling limp once more.

She's not dead. She's not dead.

Emboldened, determined, Sedona scrambled to her paws and attempted to hoist one of Léonie's arms over her shoulder, though she stumbled feebly against her weight.

"Culo gordita," fat ass, she groaned under her breath, widening her stance to try and steady herself against the lioness's (actually perfectly average) weight. Grunting, she craned her neck to look around the scene wildly for any signs of assistance. "Andal, help! We need to take her home!" Sedona cried out, her voice cracking at the most inopportune of moments.

She's not dead. She's not dead.

It was all that mattered.
