Keeping a mental note about how the roots were the most useful, Tulie watched as @Avana prepared hers. "Good to know. Thank you." Instead of prepping the plant the way that the other lioness was, Tulie started to wrap hers up with the flower still intact to the plant. Holding onto the root with one paw, she used the other to kind of fold it over in the whole plant so the tops touched the roots. The newness of the plant made it so it wouldn't break in half. Taking a long blade of grass, she wrapped it around the folded plant and tucked it in to prevent it from unfolding. Once she was satisfied with it, Tulie then opened up her otter pouch and placed it at the very bottom, shaking it slightly to make sure it went down. "So what is this place?" Looking around with orange gaze, she had no idea where she was.

Avana Hodari

Avana watched how @Tulie prepared her own little cluster of Nibima, taking note of how she wrapped it around with a blade of grass. Once the Hodari figured out how to make one of those otter pouches, or any pouch for that matter, maybe she'd be able to be more meticulous with her collecting habits. Until then, though, she'd just keep her pile of herbs neatly tucked together before stripping and drying them later back at her den. Just because the flowers weren't useful didn't mean they couldn't make nice little dried decorations around her den.

Mismatched gaze took a glance around 'this place' as the newcomer questioned it. There was a time when Avana wouldn't have even been able to answer that question, but now she felt like she'd nearly spent her whole life in Amaryllis. "It's called Amethyst Grove. It's a nice little piece of forest in Amaryllis. Stays green here all year long." Her gaze had drifted up into the trees, as if to admire their ability to retain their greenery even in the dead of winter.

The strawberry lioness watched as Tulie carefully wrapped up her herbs that she had gathered and she could feel the gaze upon her as she did it. Flicking her tail behind her, she slowly put the pika pouch and the rest of her herbs back into the otter pouch. Orange gaze then looked up as the name of the location and the island was given to her. "I've never heard of Amaryllis before. I just stumbled upon this place by chance. The Grove is beautiful though. It's nice to know that this place stays green during the winter months." She didn't quite know if she was going to try and join a pride before winter hit but it was nice to know that this place would be an option to find a den at.

It was interesting to hear @Tulie not know that these lands were called Amaryllis in the first place. Maybe she had been lucky enough to slip through Maua's passage without getting stopped by any pride recruiters. She didn't smell like any of the prides, anyway, so it was likely the woman was a rogue. "Yeah, that's the name of this whole land. Anything past that initial sandbar you probably crossed before reaching the mainland." Avana had certainly had a different experience when first coming to these lands. "If you don't like the winter, though, you should probably stay away from the northern parts," the maned woman started to smirk as she spoke. "They're quite the opposite, as the Freeze stays cold all year long." A chuckle escaped her, only not realizing how these two opposite terrains managed to exist upon the same peninsula.

The blackened lioness had snuck through the passage in the night and maybe that was the reason why no one stopped her. But now she knew what these lands were called and then found out something else new. So the area of the North was called the Freeze and was cold all year long. Now Tulie was curious about how this terrain, how this island, was set up. Clicking her tongue, she pondered for a moment longer before gaze went to @Avana. "Avoid the Freeze unless I want cold toes. Got it." Gaia had something similar that held two Clans where one thrived in the furthest parts of the mountains while the other stayed at the bottom within a cave system. She had grown up in the Jungles of Gaia and wondered if this land had something similar here.

Avana Hodari

Avana just chuckled to herself with a toothy grin. "Sounds about right," she smirked. The strawberry lass wasn't much for the cold either, not being blessed with the same thick coat much of her family had inherited from genes she didn't share. Still, from a distance, the mountains were at least nice to admire. "There's lots of different terrains around Amaryllis, though. Plains, deserts, mountains, jungles. I live in a Rainforest pride myself, but there are prides all over, even in the caves or on the beach." Amaryllis really was such a unique territory that seemed to cater to all sorts of different lifestyles.

As their chatting got away from the plants of the Grove, though, the Hodari realized how long they'd been talking. While she was enjoying a bit of conversation, she still had a task set in mind before coming out all this way. The grove wasn't exactly close to home, so she still had a fair trek back to Firnen before all was said and done. "I should probably be getting back to my home, actually. It's all the way on the other side of Amaryllis. It was nice chatting with you, though. If you ever need more help with herbs, feel free to stop by." Avana held a cheery expression, fully encouraging in the invitation to seek her out for more herbal knowledge sharing. With that, though, she'd bundle up her herbs with a long blade of grass before giving one last parting nod to her fellow medic. "Take care, Tulie." Then off she went.

As @Avana started to tell the Gaia lioness about the different biomes on the island, she listened intently. As she spoke about living in the Rainforest, it sounded so similar to her home that she had left behind. Flicking her ear, she continued to listen as she nodded slowly. Then it dawned on her as well that they had been chatting for a while. It was indeed getting late and she needed to find a place to bunker down for the night. But her ears perked up when Avana invited Tulie to stop by to talk more about herbs in the future. Nodding slowly, she smiled. "I shall, thank you." Dipping her head, she then watched as the maned lioness leave the Grove before she decided to grabbed her otter pouch and find a place to sleep for the night.
