Amara spoke of cubs dying and Alizabeth's magenta eyes cast up to the other, peering at her closely as if trying to determine if this was a test of some kind or not. "Didn't know shit about that, but regardless - they barely fuckin' exist now. The ones that do, aside from Ragna, can go politely fuck themselves." A shrug is offered. What were they supposed to do, hunt down the few remaining and make the family go extinct?

It was pointless, another crazy would just sprout up in it's place, but next time it would be worse. "They become a fuckin' problem again, there's no fuckin' Saga to keep me on a goddamn leash." That was that. The whole of the Sigrun, at least the majority she had the displeasure of interacting with, had been assholes to her through and through. Why the fuck would she support a family that treated her like a filthy fucking peasant?

Ears swept back, a snort escaping her lips remembering Revna, and Cassandra - those that had a stick shoved so far up their ass it came out their mouth and yelled, SURPRISE. Uppity, is what they were. Tail flicks a bit as @Amara speaks again, a single brow arching, her tattered features settling into a thoughtful look. Taking a deep breath, she lets the cool air of her prison fill her lungs.

"I'll say this as friendly as I fuckin' can. I can fuckin' promise you my family has come lookin' for me. They are still fuckin' lookin' for me. I only have so many enemies, Amara. Shit, it'd basically just be you and the Mire." Alizabeth didn't want to threaten the woman, but there was no real way for her to make any promises unless she was released. It all depended on if Amara wanted those Alizabeth called ally to come knocking on her doorstep eventually, with an army.

"For all I fuckin' know they already know I'm here." She mutters idly, looking back to the rabbit before pushing it back toward Amara. She wasn't very hungry right now - the anticipation of release was causing her skin tingle. "Besides, if your family wants a bite of me, they can fuckin' try. I'm all for kickin' some ass." She muses in a teasing fashion, the hair along her spine raising as the idea of battle came to mind. One might assume she wasn't pissed that she'd been held captive for so long by these Dieudonne.

No, Alizabeth was furious, but she knew how to pick her battles and live to fight another day. Calling a war on Wolfbron because of this would make her seem weak - like she couldn't handle a little kidnapping. Fuck no, this bitch was made of steel.

The comment about them barely being around caught her attention. Outliving her enemy was a nice touch but she knew that her own family was growing small in their numbers as well and it was a hard thing to come to terms with. Though she still reigned over the Bluffs while they were just a whisper of a memory at the Lagoon. Even if Amara dropped dead right now, her mark was made on these rough grounds. They were hers, always. She gave a little huff and let the topic go. This wasn't like with the summit's leader, her prisoner didn't hold the same candle to the family and tried to hide behind things.

Amara wasn't the type to get worried about how someone spoke, heck she had to deal with Vermier's broken English even though she was sure that by now if he wanted to, he could speak clearly enough for anyone to understand him and it was a choice not to but the lioness's ability to curse was eyebrow-raising. It wasn't like anything she had heard from anyone else before and if it didn't seem to be her normal way of talking, Amara would be far more annoyed with her. Though, it was hard to be annoyed as she listens to her claim that her family had come looking for her. No one had come to her borders looking for her, if they had, Amara would know about it. She only lifted a brow, clearly, @Alizabeth didn't think Amara knew what was happening around her borders. Maybe she hadn't heard how many had been attacked and killed at her borders, and maybe that was why none of her family had arrived here. She didn't know if they had gone to the Mire or not but they hadn't come here.

I am sure that they would all love to have a chance to test you. She wouldn't use the same wording that Alizabeth had. She glanced at the rabbit that had been pushed away for a moment before her golden gaze looked over the lioness. She was tattered and clearly had been in her fair share of fights, though her white pelt showed them in more detail than Amara's darker coat. What reason do you have to call me an enemy when you attacked me first? Everything after that was because of that moment, that choice. Unless Amara was mistaken, she didn't even really know of the lioness before being attacked by her in the war in the Mire. There was a lot going on around the island that she knew Alizabeth wasn't even aware of. Where would you go if I let you out right now? The answer would tell Amara a lot about what sort of trouble might come her way if Alizabeth decided to change her mind about things.

Just because they hadn't come to Wolfbron yet, or made it to the borders, didn't mean that they hadn't looked for her. Alizabeth hadn't allowed herself to think otherwise. To do so would mean that ultimately she had been insignificant to everyone in her life, which no fuckin' way that was true. Another snort is ushered from her nostrils at Amara's comment on her family testing her. Yeah, they'd be in for a challenge. Alizabeth wasn't some weak ass bitch when she wasn't being forced to sit behind bars or stuck in a dirt hole.

Old shit was brought up and Alizabeth wrinkled her nose in response, "At first, I didn't think shit about you, to be honest. War is war, shit happens - you just happened to be standing too fuckin' close to me when chaos was rampant. So, sorry 'bout that." The white wartorn woman pauses, a paw outstretching just slightly to flex her toes a bit, staring down at her paw absently as she thought. Alizabeth wasn't one of those delicate women who took everything personally. It took way more to piss her off and keep her pissed off.

"I was pregnant when you sic'd yer fuckin' dog on me. Pretty far along. When my kids were born, one didn't make it past a month. She fuckin' died and we don't know why. Yer dog..." Magenta eyes cast upwards, narrowing them on @Amara and locking onto the Wolfbron's Sovereign's features. "Slammed into my stomach full fuckin' force...multiple times. You do the fuckin' math." And that was that, it was the only reason Alizabeth had any beef with Amara at all - it hadn't been personal, but it had been made personal.

At the next question, the Valentine woman sighs and offers a shrug, "To be honest, I don't fuckin' know. I imagine figure out where my family is. One of my mates lives up in the north in the Freeze, he's a Warden. One of those neutral parties." She wasn't sure if Amara knew what a Warden was, but it didn't hurt to mention that neutral part. Could only help, right?

Her ear flicked sharply as she listened. Amara's view on wars had changed some since the war where they had clashed but Amara was still keen on keeping things targeted at those who mattered not random lions. She didn't know her well enough to know if the apology was in a mocking manner or not. Her golden gaze followed @Alizabeth's gaze to her paw and stiffened at her next words and matched her gaze as it moved up. I don't have dogs or hounds. She butted in. I have loyal members willing to fight as needed. Neither of us knew that you were pregnant. Her ears flattened at the news that one of the cubs didn't live past a year, Amara was aware of the pain of losing a cub. At least Alizabeth got some time with her cub, though was that any better? Was it better be able to name them, to clean them off, to hear their call before having them taken, or to never get any of that? I lost two cubs upon birth. She stated before looking away for a moment, there hadn't been anything aside from her past to cause it but that wasn't going to be something she would share. Sometimes things just happen and nothing is really the cause. She said slightly softer than her normal tone before she looked back to the pale lioness.

Warden? Amara didn't know what it was or why they were neutral. Can anyone be neutral with everything that was happening here? It took longer for Amara to register that she said one of her mates, how many did she have? Amara didn't think she had come across a lioness with multiple mates vs a lion who had multiple mates. She huffed and studied her for a long time, allowing the silence to wrap around them. A clean slate upon your release? A final offer, giving her the ability to be released from Amara's target and Amara from hers and her families. Taking an enemy off the list would be nice and having spent some time with her there was something about her that Amara found interesting.

Alizabeth was going to have to agree to disagree on the dog part. Having loyal members willing to fight for you was basically the same thing - just more nicely said. She could at least admire the woman for not calling them anything less. Features soften a bit as @Amara speaks. Children seemed to be lost so easily in these times, but she made a point. A sigh escaped her lips, a silent nod given instead of any sort of verbal reply. There didn't need to be anything further said on the subject of such loss. It only made the wound sting worse.

A clean slate is mentioned. It was ideal, a nice little fairy tale. "I can agree to that." She murmurs, tail flicking a bit as she stands, moving close to the edge of her prison - eager to leave. "I'll keep my being a prisoner a secret from my fuckin' family, but if somethin' else happens. If yer family comes after mine - all bets are off. I can't be assed to work at a truce if the other party ain't gunna fuckin' comply, capiche?" She finishes, her magenta eyes locking on Amara's features once more.

Balls in your court.

Nothing more was said but Amara could see a change in the lioness and the soft sign and slight nod was all that was needed. Unless @Alizabeth wanted to poke at wounds that didn't need to be opened it was best to let the topic drop and hopefully, it would mean that they would be able to move beyond it.

It seemed that their time together was coming to an end and Amara gave a nod to her condition. It was fair enough. She moved out of the way slightly, making way for Alizabeth to move out of the den that she had been tossed into. If anyone happens to come asking for you, I'll tell them you went to the freeze. Amara moved toward the northern border, not leaving Alizabeth alone in her lands. Having a prisoner was a level of stress that Amara wasn't keen on but it was interesting, to say the least. She stopped at the border and looked at her. I'll see you again when you challenge for the Lagoon. Amara stated it as a fact, she saw no reason that the lioness wouldn't go for it again and Amara would be there to see how things went down for them.

Amara would linger on the border for a long while to make sure that she didn't double back and try to go back on her word right away. Amara was putting a lot of faith in the lioness and she was sure that her family was going to have some questions but after months, it was clear that Alizabeth wasn't going to be a major threat to the family and even if she was, she didn't have as big of a following as Amara once thought. No matter what Alizabeth thought, no one showed up, no one tried to find her here. Her support was lacking. Amara could only hope that if she went missing that her family and members would break down her enemies' borders looking for her.
