She seemed to be looking for someone. Perhaps the others but it was just them. And it seemed to change her attitude a bit. Ears twitching at her nervousness of the idea of betrothal and Envy would nod his head in her direction. I will pair you and another black to be married and keep our lineage pure. Perhaps if there is a suitable suitor outside of the family they will be considered. There wasn't much outside of the family that he would consider. He would be picky. The majority of the family that I knew was here has been paired off I just haven't made it official. Except for himself and his daughter. But did she need to know that? She nodded, sitting back on her haunches, she hadn't thought about the traditions in so long, the Betrothal thing had slipped from her mind. She pinned her ears back and stared at the floor, before looking at him, eyes now full of curiosity, anxiety, she shook her pelt out.

"Oh.. yeah..." She trailed off, wondering who he had in mind for her, she would of course do whatever he wanted, but she couldn't shake the whole anxious feeling. Fangs flashed for a second as she licked her maw, going quiet.

He could see the nervousness just escaping her form in waves. The way she looked at him showed that she was more than just nervous but anxious about it. Granted there was nothing she could do about it but there was a thought that occurred in his mind. I won't pair you with someone who won't treat you as a black should be treated. It was a way of him trying to reassure her, but he was never good at those things anymore. But the idea that came to his mind was not one that he would verbally state until the meeting, even if it meant her kept being nervous and anxious about it until then.

His words did ease her tensions, not all of them but enough that she seemed to relax, her muscles unclenched, she could finally settle down and curl up on the floor, looking up at him. Laveau smiled a bit, feeling better that he'd atleast make sure to choose someone worthy, after all, living with a god complex due to being told your royal and of pureblood lines tends to make ones head a bit larger than most.

Calmly the lioness laid her head down, still gazing up,. "Do you have any missions or anything you'd like me to do... While we wait for the meeting?." She'd only met a few other lions, her mind traveled to Cerberus, the rogue she'd met.

HIs reassurance seemed to relax her nerves a little bit and that was enough for him as he would lay his head down on the ground and would relax hismself. Envy wasn't the type to put a pair together if neither would treat the other like they should. They were perfect. Purebloods. And they shouldn't be treated like trash unless it was for a good reason. ANd right now that was no reasons to be treated as such. Ears twisting on top of his head as he would listen to her to question. Did he have anything for her to do until the meeting was started. Not right now. Stay safe from the weather. That was the only thing he could ask of her currently.

Laveau blinked slowly, she felt at peace surrounded by her family's scents, Not right now. Stay safe from the weather. She would try her best, if it pleased Envy. She didn't know exactly what to say at the moment so she laid on the stone floor, feeling more lonely than before. She was a physical woman, always had been, though not in any thing too sexual, of course the lioness was flirtatious to the core, but she craved the touch of a body close to hers.

She couldn't quite remember how things as cubs had been, not really. But who did? She did remember their lessons though, their claims of royalty and she felt her chest swell with pride. She brought her head up, addressing @Envy, "Would you tell me about our family?" of course she knew her family story, lineage, but he was older than her, she wanted to know the story from him.

Silence fell between them and he would have been content with just that. He could've fallen asleep and his eyes did close but he never got the satisfaction of actually dozing off when @Laveau asked him a question. She wanted to know about their family, and though Envy understood she knew about their history and lineage, there were always different stories to be told in different ways. So, his jewels opened up, sparking when they caught the light that barely shown through the ceiling above their heads. What is it that you are wanting to know about? What part of their history? There were many, different, parts of history. There was his history that mingled with everyone elses ina a perfect blind.

The smaller female stayed close to the ground as she crawled over to him, settling next to him, not too close to be in his bubble, but maybe a tail lengths away. She peered up at him, she was in that moment his student, and she wanted to learn everything she could.

Her merle coat rippled as she trembled, her beautiful peach markings seeming to swirl into the pink's and blues, she was like a mosaic canvas, "Tell me your stories, Your side of them."

Eyes of amethysts with flecks of emerald in them peered up, she was hanging onto his every word, she crossed her paws, a woman that knew her manners. She did remember Void, vaguely, maybe it was memories of his name that drew a picture. She didn't know, but she did remember hearing of Void. But Pride?

The lioness show would show her confusion, she couldn't recall Pride, but she felt like she did. Somewhere in the back of her memory. "I'm trying to recall.."
