Prompt: An elephant rolls about in a bed of flowers. Perhaps it just wishes to make itself smell good or else it just has an itch to scratch.

Occam was new to the lands but he wasn't new to hunting. The rumble of his stomach is what sent him out. There was a scent on the crisp breeze that drove him as well as indentations within the ground that pointed him in the proper direction to go.

He sneezed against the pollen that tickled his nose as he crested a hill and found an elephant rolling about. Oh, that looked delicious. Of course it was much more than he could handle himself. But if only he could... Hm, only one choice left.

The male sent up a call for anyone else that might be in the area. Let's hope for a deaf elephant otherwise it would know someone else was about and after its hide.

if there were any benefit to reap from the forced evacuation of her long-term home, it came in the form of a prolonged vacation from official duty – as well as the guilt that had accompanied shirking those duties. and although the pixie now grieves the loss of her title and the solace of a den once-occupied by she and her cherished kin, the opportunity to freely snooze and schmooze were of minor consolation. even so, she partakes in the former of such demanding tasks with a belly outstretched to the heavens, forelimbs dangling limply over her chest without a care in the world. and despite the creeping chill of autumn, olive absorbs what warmth she can as rays of sunlight flow across her skin like silk.

— but nothing good ever lasts long, she begrudgingly learns. for the invitation of a stranger resonates from a slight distance across the field, easily rousing the pixie from her light slumber. brows furrow with childish indignation as her skull lifts above the surrounding flora – intent upon pinning the unseen perpetrator with a glaring stink-eye – but the only creature to cross her line of vision is a fucking elephant.

hesitance and bewilderment anchor her to her makeshift chaise as she debates the proper course of action, but the glimpse of her initial caller solidifies her decision. their posture is indicative only of a will to hunt, and olive slowly flips upon her stomach with the intent to mimic. but they are only two measly predators against an armored behemoth, and their current odds denote of likely failure. no matter – stranger things have happened… right?

Those days passed in a blur. Anniston was more a purple void than the princess she had been, drifting from one place to the next without much thought. When she was not busying her plush paws, she was lashing out with little restraint against anyone unfortunate enough to grace her path – as was bound to happen with such dismay buried within one so young. The only soul she feigned to spare was that umber fae stalking through the gardens that day, her business generally taken as Anniston's by proxy.

"I want a tusk," she growled lowly, attempting to crouch at Olive's side so that she did not dwarf the lioness as much as usual. "Please?" Anniston cooed, shooting her companion a sideways stare. Even if she would never dare say the words aloud, the shadow across her mental sky said enough: I need this.

Turning back to the rolling behemoth of a creature, her heartrate quickened at the thought of actually helping to take one of these down. She was a spectating cub no more.

Helah had taken the time to cover her scent with the pungent scent of herbs, the flagrant tang of them masking the mark of where she hailed from when she'd left the territory. She had prepped herself in order to do some sleuthing, some creeping- and not to hunt, but when she'd found herself in the gardens and saw an elephant, she had been intrigued enough to stalk forward, as quietly as she could. Helah saw that a few others had arrived, one she recognized from the passage- the pretty former princess of Lorien Plains. Yet, she made no move to come closer to her, and the other she was speaking too- and instead just joined the group- waiting for someone to lead this stupid hunt.

Eisa had been following the large circular tracks, as she moved through the fields- and the distant heavy thudding of footsteps. She'd taken time to roll in some flowers to hide her scent, to hopefully convince the large beasts that a red flower was following them- if they noticed her. She'd been watching the elephants from a distance, staying well out of their way because one yearling alone was definitely not a match for them. She saw a small group of lions in the distant, and approached them, with a easy smile. "Hunting one of them?" She asked quietly, quite willing to join a group and take one of the beasts down.

7 years, no bonus

Bowen had been doing enough of nothing lately that when the invitation to hunt came calling there was no question that it was time for him to get off his sorry ass. Low and skulking, the wanderer made to join the group which he was surprised to find was larger than he anticipated—and good thing, because was that an elephant in the distance? Sharp golden eyes scanned the small gathering, wondering as to who had gotten the wild hair to take down such a beast. They'd surely need at least a couple more than they had currently if they wanted a fighting shot at this. Scoping out an open space off to the left, the dark lion sank to his belly to rest until more came.

4 years, no trade bonuses Renfri was not generally much of a team player, not when it came to strangers at least. She tended to be picky about who she aligned herself with, who she chose to work with, though it was likely due more to her own ego than anything else. As a call came inviting others to hunt, though, she couldn’t resist the urge to join. She crept closer, joining the group and sticking to the outskirts, glaze sliding around to assess who had already heeded the call. Immediately, she spotted at least two that she recognized from the challenge when Aeistrios took the Plains, two women who had been cheering for the other guy. Despite herself, a small smile crept across her face at the knowledge, but she returned her attention to the gardens around her, waiting for the hunt to begin. The area with thick with plantlife, from basil to castor bean. So many plants with both medicinal and poisonous effects, she would need to come back another day to properly investigate and gather some supplies before the weather got too bad.

the gardens were great, honestly. lots of flowers and soft grass — the perfect place to laze in the waning sun and snooze the day away. or, at least, try to snooze the day away. he’s not asleep for very long before he’s blinking himself awake, ears twitching as not-so-distant noise reaches him. the growing commotion pulls his attention; man, it was always so hard to catch forty-winks when he was anywhere other than the summit. everyone was always so loud and he’s so curious. nosy, some might say. when he follows all the sounds, his eyes widen — an elephant? here? well, don’t mind if he does! settling in with the growing group, he grins — ready, excited, scraping his claws on the trees that he passes like an overexcited kitten as he gets into position.

The pink Ranger still vowed to fill up the caches in the pride lands for the Brook members as it was growing and the need to keep up with the demand was there. Going towards the watering area in the Brook, she covered her pelt in the mud that had accumulated to cover her pink pelt and make it a mucky brown. Once she was good and covered, Raizel made her way towards the fields to try and catch something fresh to fill the newest cache spot she had gotten ready. When she finally arrived, there were several who had already gathered. Positioning herself to not startle the elephant that was relaxing, she kept herself low to the ground and waited for the signal.
