Had she been here before? With the amount of wandering she had done over the past weeks it was hard to remember everything. All she knew was that it smelled nice here and had long stretches of sprawling grasslands that were perfect for practicing her running. She ought to be old enough now that running should come completely naturally to her, but anyone else running in these clown feet was likely to trip as much as she did.. or so she assured herself in times of embarrassing tumbles.

This place was also a great place for her to collect useful flowers and other plants she might use to make dyes or perfumes or to decorate herself with. As she ran along she would come across an impossibly beautiful and unusual patch of flowers. She would come to an abrupt halt when she saw them, looking around and finding a nearby tree with an oddly shaped trunk. This would serve as a landmark that would show her the way back here when she wished to gather up some of these strange flowers she had never seen before.

Attention would shift from the flowers when she heard the elephant, turning to see it rolled in a patch of flowers some length away. She would see lions gathering as well, turning her attention away from her new find to observe their hunt, longing for the day she could take part in such an activity.

they were beginning to blend together. hunt after hunt, kill after kill, heart after heart. he consumed them all and thus far none had fought him for it -- spying another elephant made him lick his lips with anticipation for the inevitable feast.

for they would be victorious -- they always were. "with your guidance, bjorn, we will fell this monster. draw forth your skill and sprinkle it across us all, so that we might feast again."

slinking to approach them, ignoring the lingering pain in his leg. it annoys him, often, but he has learned well how to set the pain aside. draven stops long enough to drag his claws across a stone, putting his full weight in to the action. scoring off the weak points, sharpening them to a wicked edge. and then settling to watch and wait for the signal, eyes focused on the prize.

The Lagoon Queen was showing now, her pregnancy moving along well. But she was not one to lay about idle, as much as the healers would suggest she not involve herself in hunts - let alone one where a group was stalking an elephant. But she was Anatu, and the Anatu never turned away from a challenge. This was merely preparation for the ritual that would come before her labor.

An elephant was crushing the flowers of the gardens, rolling around without a care in the world. The lions had begun to congregate. A large group of them had gathered, and Tiamat is a little late to arrive. Most of those gathered were strangers, but she recognized the plum girl, former king Violarum's heir, from the meeting at the peak, called by Ronin. And the representative from Wolfbron, whatever her name was. The rest were mostly unfamiliar, but she joins them anyways, reading for a good, challenging, hunt.

Harou's here, alone, scouting as usual. This time, trailing after his brother's scent. Their differences are cast aside here today, in the wake of this would-be hunt. With no Faolán around, it is easy to be with Draven. Elephant flesh saturates the air, heavenly and pungent. Harou comes to rest by @Draven, almost touching, but not. I'm here, says the Heart to the Eye, a silent gesture. Icy, secure, comforting - without the actual physical comfort. Perhaps, it's destiny then. Perhaps, it's fate. Two brothers destined for great things; for all emotions to brew between them, for love, possessiveness and hate. Here, though, between the shadows, there is no hate in Harou's heart. There is no love, either. No, Harou's love is with Faolán. Still, when Harou gestures to Draven, it is quiet and steely, laced in reverence for the Soothsayer.

she has not been spending much time at the frostsongs. she’s tired of the icy walls, tired of doing little beyond resting and healing. and so she leaves — making sure to tell sheol of her absence. her sister worries so, and faolán cannot blame her, not when the wound across her neck has not fully healed. instead she heads outside the freeze, to the gardens she’s come to like. still, she wears sheol’s scent like a cloak over her shoulders — bringing her wilder sister with her for comfort in these greener lands. the hunt catches her attention almost immediately — she wants nothing more than to be alone, but the idea of dinner soothes her. and so she steps forward, realizing ( a bit too late ) that she’s not alone. her eyes shoot towards @Harou ♔ and @Draven before glancing away, doing her best to linger in the shadows — and on the other side of the hunt from them. hiding in plain sight, as it were; hoping, against all hope, that all her practiced stealth helps her in this.

It wasn’t like he was being a creeper or anything following @Tiamat around it was just that he had been in the same general area as her. Following a safe distance behind as he noticed she seemed a bit rounder than their first meeting. What type of loyal lead fighter would he be if he wasn’t close enough to protect her if needed? In any case he took time to sharpen his claws on a tree trunk he was passing by before heading out into a pretty garden. Looking around at all the pretty flowers he wondered if any of them would be good for bringing back to the lagoon. Maybe some could be used for healing. Turning his eyes from the plants he noticed a group gathering and an elephant trampling the flowers. Ah so a hunting party was gathering. Seeing his Queen slipping in place to join the group he did the same giving her a greeting on her left side with a nod before waiting for the hunt to begin.

Well, there was something you didn't see every day. Were elephants drawn to the flowers, just as so many other beasts seemed to be? Myra can't say she would fully understand why, but this particular elephant certainly seemed to be enjoying it's time in the flower fields. It might as well, she supposed. If the huntress had her way, this would be the beast's last day to enjoy anything.

She stalks her way quietly into the midst of the hunting party with her own scent smothered with the sweet scent of the petals, muscles quivering subtly beneath her skin as she settled into the wait. An elephant was truly one of the greatest challenges for a hunter - striking at the perfect opportunity would be key.

Oh, my! What was this—a party? The thick aroma of many scents mingling merrily together was what drew Clodovea near. She was new to the lands and there were so many friendly faces still to meet! Except, well, this was some weird kind of party where no one was talking to each other, let alone even really looking at each other; in fact, they all seemed to be vaguely facing the same direction—ooh, elephant. Quickly the pale honey girl dropped herself into the grasses near the back edge of the hunting group, counting her lucky stars that she was both far away and blended in beautifully with the scenery. She hadn't come for the hunt, really, but what better way was there to meet others than over a meal?

There was no mistaking that scent on the wind, however perfumey the air was otherwise. Sedona pressed forward with renewed resolve as her suspicions were confirmed by the sight of the rolling beast. Of course, there were plenty of other lions on the scent like violent moths to an unsuspecting flame. The Casales princess was more than willing to be one of the throng in this goal, her senses peeled and her muscles tensed and ready. When the time was right, she would surge forward in a determined sprint, finally launching herself in an attempt to scale the elephant's leathery sides.

Well this was interesting.

Ruger had never seen an elephant roll around like those African wild dogs did, but boy was it a sight. He was watching from a distance at first, simply observing and chuckling softly to himself. But as lions began to gather it was quite clear to the spotted brute that they all had one thing in mind: taking the elephant down. It would make for one hell of a meal, even giving him a proper chance to take some with him once their hunt was over with.

Without much thought, Ruger would drop down on the patch of flowers he were standing in and began to roll - just like the elephant. He was wanting to use the floral scents to help better disguise his leonine scent, even if the rest of them gathered alerted the behemoth with their own smells. Feeling satisfied, he'd rise onto all fours and stalk toward the group, falling in toward the back and waiting for the cue to attack.
