He would trail across the borders - noting the scent having faded.. A twitch of his nose had his lips parting as the beast would simply trail right over what was once a strong rulers border and pace deep into the heart of the territory. Ears flicked forward as the caramel beast settled his defenses, shoulders shrugging forward and his head lowering. Yes.. this would be a pleasant enough space to rule his throne.

Jaws parted as from his barrel chest ripped the roar that sent wildlife fluttering heavenward in fear of the sudden sound. Eyes of hellfire scanned his surroundings as he slowly paced, keeping the blood flowing through his limbs.. keeping his eyes attuned for would-be challengers. Korrin had given his call to those daring to come from far and wide to contest his claim... His rightful crown.

His machinations he had predicted to be more complex. He did not expect silence yet he would take it as a prelude to screams of fear. The borders were vacant and that was it. He sullied past them as he fancied he would have anyway, but the transgression made him lift his skull and smile. He would take credit for this if he could. He would take kingship if he could. Surely there were other scavengers and he searched, eyes narrowed, embers glinting.

There was a call. Familiar. It brought promises of blood, even in different circumstances. Vermier lowered his head and strode into a lope. His tail extended behind him, stern in confidence. A male who he had once thought to work with, and might work with again, if either could be pounded under the other's heel and remain intact.

Vermier snarled and charged, attempting to approach from head on. All force and bore, attempting to ram his chest directly into the other's front while with carefully scruffed neck and lowered skull he tried to worm his jaws around sideways, attempting to capture a grip within the larger male's right cheek.

How the hell did this happen. Oberon had left to help in search of the attackers, and yet there was one right before him. Vermier was challenging the man that had spoken so poorly about 'the opposite' sex at the borders. And now this. Vasilis was beyond pissed not because the Lagoon had fallen but because two souls he had not wished ever on his heart to rule the lagoon or be anywhere near it, now they BOTH were here. If they were not fighting he would attack vermier himself for what he knew. Instead, he bore daggers at both parties as they were challenging after the Lagoon for their own merits. His fangs were drawing tiny bits of blood from his lips at the pressure he was bitting on them. His nails and paws dug into the plush hot sands beneath his weight. How dare they both. How dare they soil the lagoon with their.............. blood and hellish ways. He hoped to Maua that somehow neither one of them got it. But he knew someone had to come out of this, either it was Vermier or Korrin.

The beast he saw coming for him was familiar and Korrin would attempt to turn to face his opponent as the beast would approach. Korrin attempted to lower his skull , jaws parting as @Vermier's jaws came for his cheek. He felt the searing flame of fire as the beasts jaws lightly shredded the right cheek, leaving blood furrows in his wake. Korrin would attempt to shift, to negate some of the initial impact to his chest - the bruise blossoming across his chest already.

He would attempt to lift his left front paw and try to strike out for his opponents LEFT shoulder, attempting to tear from shoulder to foot with sharpened talons. He would narrow his eyes, ears folding into his mane as he would attempt to sink his fangs into the other males right cheek - attempting to mirror the damage.

Furia hadn't been kidding when she'd told @Aquila that she was nosy when it came to pride shenanigans. While the lagoon had never appealed to her (humidity made her mane do all sorts of terrible things), she understood the tropical appeal. It wasn't a beach day that drew her towards the claim, however, as much as a bored lioness looking for some entertainment. It was getting easier to handle violence day by day, and she was willing to immerse herself in it to further process her traumas if need be.

The golden woman glanced towards the only other bystander, a man who smelled of the pride enough to assume he was a previous member. She felt for him but had nothing to offer, so she settled down quietly on the sands to watch from a distance.

She heard the call and rose from her den, her expression puzzled, her heart pained. What had happened to Oberon? The ebony queen made her way down the sands, as quickly as her laboring lungs and still-healing body could go. When she arrived, she saw not the golden lion she expected to be fighting - or his blood to be what stained the ground... but two males.. only one she was familiar with. Slowly, the twin tail would make her way over towards @Vasilis and shift as if to gently press her shoulder against his side, a gesture of comfort.. An attempt to give him something to lean on. "Durius?" Jewel was only the lead warrior of Caladan now - she couldn't offer him a home.. but the words were there behind trembling lips. "Wh...where will you go?" For she was certain he wouldn't be staying here.. "speech"

She had been putting it off. Going to see Oberon that is. She had betrayed his love chosen duty and her love for the bluffs over her love for him. She was a shameful mess and it was eating at her soul. The orange faced lady needed to speak with him, but it seemed he hadn’t bothered to come visit her. To come check up on her and that hurt. So she had plucked up the courage to ask @Zoticus to come with her to the Lagoon to go see him. She was silent most of the way trying to figure out what she would say and once there her heart skipped a beat. Frozen at the edge of the land her grey gaze looked upon a scene she hadn’t expected. The lion from the pit she had hunted with and that man were fighting. “What is happening? Where is Oberon?” She cried out shaking a bit. The shaking wasn’t due to being scared but more like a broken-hearted rage.

Vermier was ever-zealous and here he was matched. He willed that the opposing force not flee. This beast did not beg for mercy, extending word upon word as though gathering up the last seconds of power for posterity; without plea, Korrin turned to face him and the battle was matched.

Zest for blood overwhelmed his poetic appreciation of honor for his opponent. Simply RIP and TEAR. Gazelle or titan it was force and blood on the line. As his chest clashed into the other, the Frenchman propelled out a gust of air, precluding the impact for doing it for him. This kept him from being winded yet not from being injured. One did not play with this much weight and come out intact! A line of heavy bruising formed across the top of his chest and his haunches shuddered as they promptly descended, assuming the shock. His hind limbs spread to surely plant his balance, their blunt toes spread. Tail, with fastidious instinct, was already extended out.

The larger male ducked a little but Vermier's fangs largely found their target, scraping delicious blood into his loathsome maw. The other beast attempted to mirror his attack. Trying to copy off the superior specimen of Dieudonné blood! Vermier squeezed his right eye closed, mindful of blood and its general integrity, and tried to slam his head to his right, trying to angle his jaws to try to clasp lower along Korrin's right jawline. Deep punctures wound into his right cheek as he did so, forced into place by his own attack, bleeding immediately. The price of investment.

He attempted to slam his left paw downward, trying to plant it atop his opponent's right paw with his claws extended to try to catch whatever interposing flesh they could find. His right limb, less rigorously invested in his balance, was nonetheless not free enough to escape the attack aimed down its length (tabs goofed, we agreed korrin is attacking verm's right leg with his left leg). He shuffled it a few inches inward, lessening the damage as the forceful blow passed with scatterings of wounds and blood downward from his right shoulder along the outside of his entire right limb. The wounds were but scattered scratches where his fur was thick, deepening to moderate along the muscular bulging portions of his arm.

@Jewel arrived and his anger for her protection soared just as much as he had felt for Inez, Aarani, and Fionnuala. He turns to her - shouldering closer as he guarded a growl against blowing out too loudly as he bore daggers at the fighters. " I don't know but I need to get the woman from Scilla out of here. Vermier is one of the attackers...and that man...he doesn't treat the 'opposite' sex as anything else but herding sheep....they are not safe here anymore. No woman, no child is safe to remain in the lagoon if either one of those ass hats wins the Lagoon." he turns to her. " It's not safe for you either, as a bystander. Oberon and I were looking into information on who else was attacking others outside and around Amaryllis.... I don't feel right about this challenge at all...Not at all." he had to go find Inez, get Fionnuala and the others.

He watches the fight, anger boiling harshly against his skeleton as he trembles in his seat. " I will probably go to The brook to Nymeria, where the natives are. They have done much to help me regain my memories. That or go to the Oasis and drop the ladies off there. I am not sure where else I will go ....Perhaps to the Cove but with them as your neighbors...it will not be good... My rage for that man ...... it's not good. " it reminded him of the fight he had against a male who was beating down a nameless face, but he recalled fighting for her security, for her safety, for her life. Vasilis didn't know about Jewel not leading anymore, and when he did his worry for the healing lioness at his shoulder would only rise higher for her.

Following the scent of the one she had met at the boneyard the maned lioness was surprised when she heard a call of claim ring in the air. Oh someone was busy but would someone pick up the call? Moving forward until she found a lovely beach the woman made her way over to see what was going on as a crowd seemed to start forming. Yellow and blue eyes scanned the area until they fell on two forms fighting. Smiling she came to the edge of the borders and took a seat. “Oh! Mis see? Tugev mees võitle tugev mees! Jah, hea hea!” She purred as she sat there watching in delight.
