July Y13
Summer
Summer is in full swing now, with clear skies, warm nights, and ample sunshine! As such, the deserts begin to grow dry, the shores remain a blissful escape, the north is spared with cooling winds, and humidity continues to rise in the jungle. Rain and storms are long forgotten troubles by now, which is both a virtue and a vice during the heat of the season.

it's colder here, this place with its endless stretch of everlasting ice and cold-churning sea. it's also the closest to her homeland and the path where the sigruns took when they first came here. if she has the ability, she would move her pride here - move her family here as well - so they may feel just a slip of their homeland. her second litter would be happy to know. after all, they are not of the snowy capped mountains and the blizzard-torn lands. but they will remember, as they are sigrun and vellen-blessed. ulla sharply inhales, feeling the chill enter her nostrils. there are snow-pelted creatures here, though less enthused to be out and about unlike their darker-hued counterparts. hunger is not the driving force behind her presence here, only the desire to experience a temperature that reminds her of her true home. so, she stands upon the highest cliff, green eyes wandering to the ocean line. @Leander

+10 Exercise to gain endurance (Double XP)
And Leander is drawn to the Freeze for the extra difficulty the cold climate would provide for someone looking to become more fit. He carries on at a steady jog, breath catching in plumes as hot breaths expel from opened jowls as he works his lungs and his limbs. Since his return to Amaryllis, the Miroslav had been diligent in his work -- keeping busy and returning to old form and physique. It was no laughing matter -- trying to work back fitness had proved tiresome and at times, painful. Fresh cuts and scrapes adorn his patched hide from recent spars, some muscles in his body sore and pushed to their very limits. He has every mind to go loiter in the Hot Springs after this lot of exercises.
The Miroslav stops only when he can travel no further -- ahead of him, the precipice of Ilere's Freeze -- the highest cliff available in these cold lands. But he is not the only being that finds themselves there -- indeed, a ghostly figurine stands by the edge, gazing wistfully at the terrain that unfurls before her. "You compliment the terrain," he rumbles monotonously as he approaches, lumbering steps stopping a good distance away from the lioness as mismatched gaze studies her carefully. Indeed, she was a snowy wraith against the cold environment.

it's not long before someone joins her. the clear winds bring forth the scent of a greenlander, who stops just quite a few feet away. úlla knows a compliment when she hears one and in response she looks behind her shoulder. the man has an orange mane and splotches of white and black on his pelt. he is familiar, perhaps she's seen him somewhere. memories are so fickle now that úlla detests drawing one up unless it's pertinent to what she's doing. as do you she says, her low rumbling voice drawn into a soft response. it's not particularly loud here and úlla has no desire to be loud. she fancies the peace and quiet, as usually her world is drawn in the opposite direction. ...have we met before? it's a question spoken without any hesitation. surely she remembers him, or someone like him, from somewhere?

Mismatched gaze studies the woman silently as she turns around to study him in turn. She claims that he too, looks quite nice against the cold climate of the Freeze and Leander is surprised -- for his family, thanks to his father, had always stuck out like a sore thumb. He had never particularly fancied himself as being able to blend into nature. "I am blushing," he responds though by all inferences, he certainly is not. Soon enough, it becomes apparent as to why @Úlla may be observing him so closely. He looks familiar and there is little hesitation in Leander's reply: "You must have met my brother, Seneca." For the pair, though polar opposites in terms of colouring, were quite distinctive as blood relation. "I am Leander Miroslav." He hoped that this might quell the woman's episode of deja vu, the patched figure taking lumbering steps closer to his company so that he may have a better view of the landscape.
