The price of the space she created was steep - sliced flesh and bruised skin, the well of blood against her dark fur sending a tang of copper into the air. Her focus is solely on the pale creature before her - she does not notice the arrival of her sister nor the questioning presence of Pallas's mother. She wouldn't have cared even if she had noticed them. As it was, her slashing attack to his face landed with some success and the momentary triumph zinged through her - a false victory roared through her. It was short lived - so short lived as Pallas aimed to return the favour. Victoria didn't see it coming, the blow to her face. His claws sliced her cheek, but it was the blow to the head that really did it. It caused her to stumble sideways, lights bursting behind her eyes as her head recoiled away from him. He might be smaller than she was (not by much), but he packed a powerful blow that she hadn't expected at all. Momentarily robbed of breath, Victoria stumbled to the side and instinctively curled her body around and away from him. She blinked, enough to take one breath before fury ripped through her. She aimed to use the change in body position to launch an attack towards the left side of his torso instead, claws now aiming for his pale side to slice across his ribs. Pallas
His paw lands hard against Victoria’s skull, the crack of it feeding his need for more - more pain, more blood. She seems to cower against his attacks, bending away from him as if going to give up. Pallas can only hear blood pounding in his head, and he presses forward - just as she lurches at him.
Pallas twists to try to meet the princess head-on, never letting her out of his sight. Her claws come for his side and he acts on instinct to take the hit so that he can try to get as close to her as possible; as Victoria's claws dig into his pale fur and skin, Pallas attempts to slip his smaller frame forward, open jaws attempting to lock onto the right side of her neck, just above her shoulder joint, while she's (seemingly) bent away and exposed.

feyre's been following her mom, wondering why the woman left all of a sudden. she's been worried that something bad's happening. it's always like that with feyre; she feels something off and she worries. unfortunately, her worry comes into fruition when she notices her sibling in the midst of a battle with a brown girl, who looks vaguely familiar. feyre is keen to sit close to @Hecuba, before giving a side eye to the gray girl. the one on the field looks like her - are they related? pallas is getting bullied! feyre declares as if she's been here all along. if pallas loses then i'll fight in his stead. |

Never before had the girl fought for such a sustained period of time. Previous scuffles had been just that - a round or two of scrapping before it became obvious who came out as victor. This was different - this battle was more ferocious and she could feel the fatigue beginning to creep up on her. Pallas did not wish for her to have unhindered access to his side so she could render skin from delicate ribs - even as her claws raked across his pale fur he turned to face her. His body presses closer and for a heartbeat she dreaded what was to come. The ache of flesh that is clamped between fierce jaws - it radiated up her neck and down her shoulder as Pallas latched onto her again. Another snarl, punctuated with an absurd voice from the sidelines - Pallas is getting bullied! It was almost enough for her to laugh - to cackle at the owner of such an outrageous lie. Pallas had started this, it was all his fault. The glint of savage amusement sparked in her dark silver eyes and she attempted to use their close proximity to return the males attack - she aimed to sink her fangs into the opposing neck and shoulder joint of pale fur, hoping to get a grip in the same way that he had on her. Pallas
Once again his teeth rip into flesh, and he attempts to maintain that hold. It opens him up to the same attack, but the Tollaire can’t find it in himself to care. Victoria’s fangs dig into the side of his neck, and as they do Pallas suddenly and violently pushes up from his front legs, seeking to lean his weight into his jaws and force Victoria to balance him while both front legs try to wrap around her shoulders, claws outstretched to try to rip into her body and try to force her down under his weight. Down, on the ground. He can feel blood staining his pale fur, both his own and the princess’s. Weariness makes him almost dizzy, but the pounding in his skull urges him on - to keep fighting until she submits.

They are locked together, both of them latched and attempting to get the other to submit. Perhaps if this were a mere dominance match, they would have resolved the issue by now. But Victoria knew in her gut that there would be retribution from this - whoever won this power struggle would be claiming their price from the flesh of the other. Pallas was fighting just as hard as she was, to claim his pound of flesh. His grip on her neck was used as leverage, his body aiming to push down as his arms came up on either side of her body. And the Princess felt the quiver of her legs, the battle fatigue wearing. She did the only thing she could think of to get him off - shunting the sharp point of her shoulder swiftly up, she aimed to slam into his nose or chin to dislodge him. The surge of her body upwards aimed to similarly throw him off balance - the grappling pair would need the last dredges of their strength to get the other to submit to their will. As the very least, Pallas would have earned the rank he had called for in the first place, but at what cost the the Miroslav Princess? The clash of opponents was not an unknown din to Andal, as he'd both seen and participated in brawls on the sands. Another fight had broke out on the sands and he had come to observe what was going on. Pale eyes scanned the bodies involved and present. Everyone involved was familiar and apart of Andal, though he wasn't aware of who @Pallas was. Paws carried him to stand next to @Diantha, his gaze upon the two fighting lions, one of whom he identified as @Veronica. It always seemed strange that Seneca wasn't around these events that involved his daughters, especially with the ferocity in which Pallas fought. While he didn't know @Hecuba personally, he agreed with her inquiry. Whatever aggression the male had seemed outwardly heightened and needless. {It's likely Victoria has a mouth on her much like my other niece here.} Muzzle motioned towards the silver and white lioness in attendance, somewhat amused, though concerned for Victoria's safety. As the fight was either at its end or finishing he couldn't intervene, and so stood to see what might happen when the fight came to an end.
"Mm, well, someone has to teach them manners. It doesn't seem that anyone else in their life is bothering with it. Talk shit, get hit. It's the way of the world." Hecuba didn't know, nor did she care, who this man was. She would defend her son until her dying breath and found no reason to discipline her son for sticking to his guns. Besides, Pallas was only giving a sample of what an adult man could to do a disobedient wife. Her attention drifted to @Feyre next. "He's alright, darling, it looks like he's winning so far. There will be no further need for bloodshed today." Even if he'd lost, Hecuba didn't find it worth expending the effort to avenge him. Not yet, anyway. "I also have no idea who you are. Name?" she said, returning her attention back onto the man. |

Victoria HAS WON THE CHALLENGE FOR Minor Maim!
05-13-2022, 07:50 AM
Fatigue and pain weighed on her, the loss of blood from the bites and scratches over her body beginning to slow her down. Whilst the Miroslav Princess had been in a fair few scraps before, it had been nothing like this - nothing like the sheer determination in each of the opponents to really hurt one another. Victoria hadn't actually intended to provoke such an attack from the Tollaire - though really she should have just kept her mouth shut in the first place. But @Pallas had attacked without warning and it hardened her expression as the Princess gave one final heave of her body and succeeded in grappling the boy beneath her. With fire flashing in her dark silver gaze, she twisted her head to capture the boys right paw in her jaws and clamped down, the crushing pressure relentless until she felt the bones snapping beneath. Triumph flared and she spat out the broken paw, disengaging from Pallas totally as she stared him down. Breathing heavily, salmon tongue hanging past her teeth, she stared at the pale creature before her and cocked a brow. "Not worth the time and effort, it seems." She murmured for his ears only, though in reality it had been the toughest battle of her life so far. She turned away, white tipped tail flicking dismissively at him before catching sight of those gathered around them. Blinking briefly, she set her sights on @Diantha and @Rielus and moved towards her sister. "Shows over, lets go." She murmured, more than ready to go home and lick her own wounds. |
