The Taur had certainly appreciated being a quiet figure in the face of Vermeda for a while. A soldier waiting to be called into battle, whilst protecting it closer to home. Looking after Nymeria was his first job and would always be his last, too. He rarely spent time away from her and when he did it was usually spent doing patrols of the pride in the event of chaos. In the event that that male he had wounded came back for round two. To this day he was confident in what he had done but so far, nothing about the guy had come back to haunt Vermeda but that didn't mean that he wouldn't. isla (1/2) +5 Practice covering your scent Isla woke up bored. She had been keeping close to the den and where mummy could easily find her, but as days passed would she find herself becoming restless more and more. She didn't want to get into trouble but there was only so much fun she could have with bones and rocks! So the white wolf decided to venture further around Vermeda, wanting to learn more about her new home and what all it had to offer. She would take her time, stumbling over fallen branches and pushing her way past brush and plants. Every now and then would she stop to inhale all the new scents that were around her, dual eyes wide with curiosity as well as wanting to take every single thing she saw in. It was all so much, and it was all cool. Soon would Isla find a mud puddle, her tail tip twitching as an idea swam through her head. Without much thought would she throw herself into it, rolling around and covering herself with a thick layer of mud. Almost head to toe was she covered, and after her giggles died down would she right herself and hoist back up onto all fours. Giving a light shake - and sending mud flying - would the cub continue onward, now a mud monster who had masked her scent. Maybe this would help her stalk those pesky bunnies that always got away from her! @Gareth

The behemoth wandered with one goal in mind and he did not stray from his path. Keeping his eyes in check on the horizon outside of Vermeda's borders and making sure that nothing was amiss. He remembered when that strange male had come trespassing across the borders and as soon as someone else had shown up had pleaded that he was just wanting to bother a scrap of meat. As though he had been starving when his body and figure said that he was otherwise well-fed. Only then had the striped Taur taken the man's tail but not without the now tail-less coward threatening their home. It had been many, many months since he had seen the male or anything come of it but one could never be too careful. Just as he was just as ignorant to the potential mud monster that lurked within the Brook's borders and not outside. +10 - Patrol your borders (double xp) @Isla ♔

isla (2/2) +5 Practice covering your scent With now being covered in mud would Isla work on finding her something to stalk. Perhaps one of those bunnies, or maybe a bird. Dual colored eyes would keep a watchful lookout at she crept through the Brook, tail tip twitching with excitement. She could feel her adrenaline begin to slowly course through her veins, waiting for the thrill of the hunt. But what she found instead was a large lion walking several feet in front of her. With a soft gasp would the cub come to an abrupt halt, muscles tensing and her body crouching low. Maybe he could be her prey! Lips would pull into a smirk as she watched him move further away, taking this time to begin to follow him, careful to not step on anything that would give her away. @Gareth

The beast wandered quietly along the border, keeping his heart rate steady and his eyes ahead. Ears on a swivel and occasionally picking up small sounds but it wasn't anything that he set forth to be alarmed about. All the scents that were around him were of Vermeda and nothing out of the ordinary, though he supposed that that could automatically be means to be concerned. That if everything seemed normal that it might not be. Casually, the ambassador stopped his patrolling of the borders and lifted his head up. Sniffing the air as though he had something right at the tip of his nose, eyes squinting curiously into the trees of home and then those outside. Hm. Something felt... off. @Isla ♔

isla With every step he took she would do the same, stopping whenever he did and holding her breath while she waited for him to resume his walking before she would trail him once again. She had been following him on his right side at an angle, making sure to keep him in her sights. Isla could feel her adrenaline begin to overflow, the excitement and anxiety from stalking wanting to burst at the seams. Isla was able to control the urge to pounce for the time being, only feeling her paws itch with anticipation once the lion would stop and sniff the air. Waiting for what felt like an eternity (more so like a minute or two) would the cub finally give into her instinctual urges, rushing forward as swiftly as she could before leaping out at the lion's right side. "AHHH!!" Her caterwaul would come with her lunge, attempting to throw herself square onto his back. She knew she wasn't much of a force at her current age and size, but boy was this fun! @Gareth

A part of him could only sense that something was off but he couldn't smell anything and nor could he see anything. It was all simply the feeling that there were eyes on him that shook his core so when there was the slightest blur of motion on his right side did his head turn just in time to have a raging ball of fluff come at him with a great shriek. Shoulders tensed and his eyes were wide as the strange culprit of a creature came flying at his backside but he was far too slow to react to it. Too focused on moving forward rather than relying on his instinct that there had been something out there. @Isla ♔'s claws were sharp as they scratched at his marbled fur and skin but he wasn't stupid enough to throw down a child. So instead he decided he'd try and rear back, buck like a bronco and give her a ride.

isla Her lunge would be successful, accidentally pricking the lion's hide with her claws as she tried to gain a good hold. And then he would begin to buck and jump around, causing for the cub to let out yowls of excitement. It wouldn't take long, though, for the jostled girl to tumble off of his back, tumbling to the ground and rolling before she stopped on her side. With a wheeze would she take a moment to regain herself, slowly rising to all fours before looking up at him with mismatched eyes. A giggle would then erupt from Isla, her tail swishing in the air. "That was fun!" She would exclaim as she pranced toward the man, a grin seeming to stretch from ear to ear. Now whether or not he thought it was fun was to be determined.

Even if it was meant to dissuade the child from getting out easy, he couldn't help the ease with which he felt his heart grow ten times its size. The laughter rupturing out of @Isla ♔'s mouth as he bucked and kicked in play, tossling the young girl up and down until she eventually went tumbling the ground. Gareth stopped and turned, to look at the youngster in the hopes that the tumbling hadn't hurt her but it seemed from the giggle that eventually came that was absolutely just fine. Maybe for you! the Lead Advisor chuckles and shakes his head, you were quite sneaky. Hardly even noticed ya. Give him a few more seconds and he would've known but he couldn't exactly rewind time to see if he would.

isla Even though he says their little encounter was more fun for her than him Isla could tell that he wasn't too upset by him chuckling. Why else would someone laugh if they didn't enjoy it? The grin would continue to stay on her lips as he continued, mentioning how sneaky she had been, causing for her ego to inflate just a bit more. "Thanks! I've been practicing." The girl would make herself stand up a little taller and push her shoulders back a bit, trying to give off a confident pose. Getting a compliment on how she were doing on her skills only made Isla feel more confident in continuing to pursue what she seemed to enjoy to do - sneaking around. "I'm Isla," she would finally say, introducing herself with a wide smile. Dual colored eyes would glance at the man, head tilting to the side, an ever curious expression on her face. "Who are you?" Might as well learn the name of her 'prey', right? @Gareth
