little paws step forward -- hesitant, unsure. she feels unmoored by the lack of sisters flanking her sides. without her parents, too, she feels just as small as she truly is. the oasis is big -- too big to explore all on her own! -- but the den is warming in the summer sun and chases her from the confines. sand squishes beneath her paws as she takes another step -- a fearless adventurer setting out on a daring expedition. but her paws hesitate again, pausing terribly as mismatched eyes widen. nervously determined, but nervous nonetheless. there's a whole world out here and she wants to see it all.

and maybe, just maybe, today would be the day that happened.

Just as curious as her sister, Yuna's small legs had been quick to follow the darker brown cub. Curled fur appeared as whirls across her small, chubby body, shown in depth beneath the desert sun as she moved forth to join @Dayana on an adventure outside of the den. Granules crumbled between tiny toes, sometimes felt like swimming, but brought new sensations which excited the girl."Wait fer me!" Excited call rang out to her sister as her sort legs pumped to catch up with the golden marked girl. Safer in numbers and more easily to conquer anything, she would not want to be without her sisters on this first outing.

she had not made it very far when her sister’s voice rings out — both a lifeline and an obstacle. ears pitch forward as ivalice wheels on her heels ( an unsteady, ungraceful motion ), a little shhh! hissing from her teeth nearly the moment she lays eyes on @Yuna. be quiet! she snaps, voice and tone both baby-soft. a beat passes, filled with silence, before she adds: please! though it is just as hissed. manners, as their mother was teaching them, were always important — but so was being quiet so that daddy did not find them. if rielus stumbled upon them now, they’d probably be drug back to the den. though they weren’t very far from the den in the first place, this was still further than ivalice had ever come — and she wanted to keep it that way! @Dayana must be nearby, but impatience blooms in her chest, spurned on by just how new everything was here. come with me! she says, voice just a little louder than her previous whispers ( already forgetting the need to be quiet in her awe ), reaching for her sister, hoping they will go together.

The gilded baby sleeps deep, rolling about and twitching while she dreams, until she turns over and is jostled awake by the utter lack of any sibling to snuggle up against. She blinks, once, twice - yawns big, jaw swinging wide on its hinges as she prepares a luxurious stretch and drinks in the warmth of the day … she pauses, finally noticing the glaring deviation in her morning routine. Dayana is immediately devoid of any lingering hint of sleep - where are those sisters of hers? Um … hello? She squeaks with huffy expectancy into the echo of their empty den, thoroughly confused by this absence. Her little gold face spins to follow a sound, faint, beyond the safety of the nest, ”Wait fer me!” and the babe’s mask splits with a wide grin. It was about time.

Unaware of Ivalice’s shushing and frankly disinterested in any semblance of remaining inconspicuous the last member of the trio sprints to catch up with her sisters, all the while letting out a wail of excitement. She attempts to barrel in between the two, skidding to a halt just in front of them with a fiery glint behind the blue of her gaze. She looks equal parts upset and exhilarated. ’K so which one a you decide to leave me! She accuses them with a cubbish fumbling of her words, looking from one girl to another before she turns up her nose and attempts to take the lead of this little excursion, twisting clumsily to hop ahead of her sisters. ’S okay, da fun officially starts … now. You’re welcome. Wha’ we doing first? She raises a brow toward @Ivalice and then @Yuna, while she punches her paws into the warm sand, curious to hear what these two have come up with before she provides any ideas of her own.

The last one was always a rotten egg! Yuna was content to be second after @Ivalice and not last like @Dayana. Small legs churned with eagerness as she had caught up to her sister, grinning ear-to-ear in excitement as she dropped her voice low. We sneakin'? Just as soon as she'd whispered the question had a yodel sounded across the sands. Glacial eyes widened with recognition of the voice, knowing full well that Dayana barreled towards them.

Clumsy paws side stepped as the darker brown form wedged between she and Ivalice. Blue eyes would look to the golden sister, wondering if she would admonish their sibling for such a loud entrance. I'm jus' followin' Iva. Innocence coats the young voice as she immediately placed all responsibility for the venture onto the golden girl. She didn't want Dayana mad at her that they didn't wake her up before they'd left the den.

she had assumed her darker sister to be around — and she was, though not as nearby as she had hoped. @Dayana arrives with a huff and ivalice pauses, stopping short even in her childish anticipation. mismatched eyes turn towards her sister, widening slightly, to see the hurt on her sister’s countenance. a nervous little sound whispers from her chest — akin to a whine, golden tail curling around her own ankle. sorry! she whispers, flustered and hurt in turn, especially when @Yuna places the blame squarely at her paws. no, no — that’s not what she meant to happen! ivalice certainly did not mean to cause her sister distress — but at least they hadn’t gone far!

sorry, she repeats once more, as if hoping to impart the seriousness upon her sisters. as if hoping to soothe whatever hurts might linger. because there was an adventure to be had here today, outside the watchful gaze of their parents. the sands stretched out before them and the world was theirs — and they would go, together.

where do you want to go? she asks, sunsky eyes looking between her siblings. it might have her idea originally but she graciously leaves the adventure in their hands. she will follow wherever they go, as long as they go quietly.

She looks back and forth between her sisters, letting her gaze linger on each with a scouring gleam. Iva seems to be at fault for not waiting, but Dayana decides to let it go. She lifts a paw to try and pap Ivalice on the head softly - stop apologizing! Daya is too consumed now by the thought of what it is exactly they should get up to! The golden girl sends her stare into the vast stretch of sun and sand that lay beyond them - mesmerized. She knew there was an oasis somewhere among their desert home, she had heard their parents mention it. She wondered what the water was like ... what the cool blue might feel like in this arid heat.

Les' go swimming ... les' find the water! And she sends an electric grin toward @Yuna and then @Ivalice, before she breaks off into a sprint, trying to move faster than the sand swallowing her steps below. She heads in the direction of the cluster of palms along the horizon, hoping her sister's aren't far behind.

Out of the three she was likely the more timid, the one who needed to grow into herself the most. Both of her other sisters appeared to hold more confidence than she did, more gusto for life. At this moment she felt almost like a third wheel, but she loved @Ivalice and @Dayana enough that she wanted to be involved in their antics, no matter what they might be.

Dayana's suggestion they go for a swim brought some excitement to her. The desert always felt hot, and if not hot, at least warm. Jumping into the water sounded like a good idea for a few moments reprieve. I'mma win! Small voice chirped as her legs churned against the sand in an effort to propel her towards the oasis's pool. Sand sprayed in every direction around her, though she was not attempting to shower her sisters in the grains.
