Alaric's arrival brought with it an opportunity for Ronin. Sláine was happy for the male even if a little dismayed for herself, Ronin had certainly earned the chance and she would not be sorry to see him win.
Sapphire eyes caught the exchange between @Ronin and @Kinki from afar, understanding the gist, the woman gestured with a slight of her skull for the youngster to come over.

Having set the challenge in motion, Sláine found herself a companion by way of her Chieftain @Alaric. Ears slid toward the large man with a slight shrug of her shoulders as she continued to hold her paw off the ground. "Nothing that cannae be healed."

To her surprise, a mammoth of a lion approached the group (@Ilarion). Sláine watched the unfamiliar male as he took his seat nearby, her curiosity burning bright and she's sure he sensed it, for he spoke to her directly then. "Aye, th' buck got th' better o' me alright. He lives another day a' I am lamed fer a week." Pale lips receded in a grin.

@Nusura answered the summons of the stranger, but Sláine did not want to take the medic away from the combatants who might need her afterwards. "Na need tae attend me just yet." She spoke to the dark woman. "Ah will find ye after. Those fightin' might need ye sooner than I."

Immediately, her attention is given back to the colossal man (Ilarion). "What's yer name, stranger?"

She haven't had any show of affection in her whole life, aside from the brother who was no longer alive. She curled like a cat by his side with her eyes into Erna and to see if anyone would go up to it. She contemplated each lion present, some unknown but others familiar like @Alaric. And there she smiled excited to see Ronin fighting. That brought in a lot of interest from the girl, while she took seat by @Slaine 's side, smiling at the woman. "Hello!" She greeted as she mirrored the adult's sitting posture. Failure from her smaller legs but she didn't mind.

With the approach of @Ronin, Erna tensed up, anticipating his attack. However, he only sat down as part of the audience, which was quite disappointing, really. She expected the man would want a rematch after their last run-in, but he was only idly chatting with the meek @Patchouli. The Rike wench watched them with narrowed eyes, biting at the inside of her cheek. Were they expecting some sort of show? Erna thought herself capable of taking both of them in a battle. That would be entertaining, instead of waiting for some opposition while they talked their mouths off.

Her blood boils at @Neèra's arrival, especially when Neèra goads her on. The bearish wench snapped her jaws in her direction. "Isn't one broken ankle enough?" She wanted to claw the insufferable snake's eyes out. "I can snap the rest in half too." At this point, the female was basically asking for it. If she hadn't learned her place last time, then the banshee will teach her. Today, however, she had other battles to fight. But she will remember the audacity of this bitch.

The other weakling - @Kinki - quipped a greeting while waddling in. @Sláine came limping in. None stood up to Erna's challenge. Her frown deepened, and just as she was about to pick out someone to prove her strength against, @Alaric arrived. He stood beside Ronin, giving him a green light to battle her for the title. Erna nodded when the father of her children spoke to her. She had proven herself before, and she will prove herself again. Such were the laws of this world.

The long-toothed challenger watched her foe closely. As he began to prowl, so did she, resulting in them circling each other in a dance-like movement. Her heartbeat began to pick up the pace in anticipation of his attack, adrenaline coursing through her veins. He came at her from her right, but she began to shift to her left. This resulted in his teeth leaving nasty, deep marks against the right side of her chest, but failing to maintain their grip. She took the opportunity to jut out her right shoulder and attempt to land it into the man's jawline, specifically the left side of his jawbone. His left claws landed against her right flank, leaving deep claw marks in their wake. The pain was immediate, as blood dripped down her thick fur. She snarled and in retaliation her jaws snapped down and to her right, attempting to sink into the lion's right ear.

The Rike would watch him, mirroring his circling prowl so that it was hard to approach from her right. He’d succeed, however, his movements just slightly faster than her own, but not quick enough to get the hit that he had intended. Teeth would pierce flesh, blood flowing into his mouth, but it was a short lived victory, his grip did not hold, instead she would thrust her shoulder forward, he would cock his head to the side, angling so that the brunt of the attack would glance off his cheek. The impact would cause pain to blossom at his cheek, but he ignored it. The motion would also cause her teeth to pierce only the top flesh of his ear. Ronin would take advantage of his bent frame being lower than hers, his jaws already at her chest still, he would reach again for flesh.

This time he would attempt to bite into the tender part of her neck, just above the chest but not at the obvious throat choice he had anticipating that she would try to retract her skull for a better hold on something. He had no problem sacrificing a chunk of his ear. She could have it. Bloodied right paw (furthest from her face cause Im directionally challenged right now) would reach up again, but this time attempting to hook her elbow and yank back towards him in an attempt to throw her off balance and towards him.

A fight. There is no denying the sound. Nor the challenge that had been started. It had taken over the land. The Mire was full of voices and sounds of bodies as they collide. It is enough to capture the attention of the ivory lioness. The one who crept through the muck to find the small group that had gathered. There are many that she had yet to see before, and some she had come across at the fight training.

She lurks in the back. Unable to compare whites with Patchouli or trade stories with the others. She was out of place, not that she cared, as she watched on. Eyes glued to Ronin with curiosity and hidden intent. The female from before was there was well. Her steps would continue on to bring her within their fold. An attempt to find a free side of Sláine. "Your mate fights well." She used the word on purpose. Not sure of their relationship- but she had not missed the glances given at training. She would use this as a way to get a feel if her thought was correct or not.

The wounds on her chest throbbed harder as her right shoulder collided with Ronin's cheek. It wasn't exactly what she'd wanted, but battle had always been messy. She was satisfied with hitting him at all. Her teeth only scraped at the tip of his ear, droplets of blood flying to the ground, and her jaws snapping on thin air. A snarl shook her, and she retracted her skull so her chin would shield her neck.

As she's anticipated, he was going for her neck. Or rather, close to her neck. The long-haired woman suddenly sprang to her back feet, attempting to tower above her opponent. Unlike the last time, this time her claws were attempting to land directly on Ronin's eyes in an effort to throw him off her tender neck. She was not playing today, her ambition was giant. Erna wanted to crush everyone who would dare stand in her way. If that man was smart, he would let go before he lost both of his eyes. She put her whole weight behind her landing, trying to stomp him and claw him simultaneously.

As a result, his teeth left medium gashes across her flesh, while his claws left small lacerations as they barely met their target due to her standing up.

His ear would burn and his cheek would throb, the pulsing heat enough to irritate him but adrenaline dulled the pain and that was enough for now. Neither of them played gently like before when they’d fought while she carried the Kings cubs. Intent behind each attack was more ferocious, more violent, wanting to prove to the other that they were the better combatant and better suited to the rank they fought for. Of course, regardless of the outcome, Alaric would decide who got what. A rumbling growl rolled through the beast as his teeth sank into her neck but it was a short lived victory as claws lacerated her leg weakly. Her momentum brought her upward quickly and Ronin was quick to let go of his hold on her neck- allowing her to move upward more freely.

As she came down with paws aimed at his eyes he propelled forward in an attempt at moving under her raised form, her weight and claws would land on his flesh, digging in viciously. He would growl, limbs bracing against her heavy weight as jaws reached for her belly, like before. This time he did not hold back, his attempt was to cause as much damage as possible to her tender and vulnerable belly.

Her claws dug into his flesh, however, much much further from his face. In fact, not even across his face. He was moving under her, worming his way towards her tender undersides. Erna dug her claws into him, gripping onto the man like a cub stuck on a tree branch. Her teeth would attempt to latch onto anything else, even if it was hair or flesh, as long as she could have a secure grip.

She felt a sharp pain dig into her, muted by the adrenaline of the battle. Erna roared like a crazed beast, and pressed into him, lifting her hind right leg in an attempt to claw at his face and desperately make him regret his decision. It left her in a very compromised (and hilarious) position, basically climbing up the man and leaving only one leg on the ground.

She had made an introduction at least, though if she intended to properly greet each and every male that came into this pride, there were quite a few more she was unaware of currently. As for the lionesses, she mostly observed them from afar, uncertain of how to interact with any of them. Usually, they would pass like two ships in the night.

There was one lioness that would decide she wanted to interact with Patchouli, a pale grey lioness with lovely purple eyes and unique lengths of fur. Patchouli would turn to look at @Neèra as she settled next to her, thus unaware of her injury. Had she known, she might have offered to help in some way, if there was anything she could even do. She still had a lot to learn about healing if she intended to actually pursue this trade. Now that they had obtained another, did Alaric really need her healing as well?

She would merely stare at the female as she spoke, debating within herself if the lioness was talking to her or someone else. She didn't wish to be presumptuous, and it seemed unlikely that she was the one being referred to in that way. There are a few pretty lionesses here miss, including yourself. The blue lady has a lovely color. The black and white one has beautiful spotted patterns as well. She offered, looking towards @Sláine and @Nusura. Her voice was soft but very much neutral, not taking what was said as any form of flirtation, perhaps just words of observation.
