What a boon. Brynja hadn't a clue here this strange mist spat her out but she could not complain. Even the small sentimental part of her was rapidly consumed by the childish delight she felt seeing how much there was there. Sly she smirked, her bare wolfish face sparing a small wirey grin in the corners. Plants she knew, once hard to find and valuable, were here in spades. Plants unknown bloomed just as plentiful. Greedily she would walk along, gathering what she desired with tooth and claw. Other plants were inspected mor carefully, a strong nose and analytical gaze fixating on their features. Occasionally she'd even brush the bare skin around her wrist to the leaves to feel them. Shivering sensually with delight at their waxy texture or at the presence of soft hairs that tickled her skin.

Brynja was one happy cat.

"There's so much!" the young lioness chimed happily, her tail fluttering by her side as she bent in an awkward manner to let it reach her ears. She stood like this for a moment nodding every now and then as if listening to what someone was saying. Then a wide grin spread on her lips and she unfolded herself and set into motion. "mhm we really do..." she mumbles as she stops lowering her body to look directly at a strange unknown plant her tail dancing over her back as she giggles and leaps back to her feet. "Maybe it is.. wouldn't it be wonderful?" she says eyeing the plant with suspicion for a moment. "You think it'll kill or just cause nausea?" her voice suddenly shifts into a more cool and collected tone as she stares at the plant, focused for a while until a scent in the air grabs her attention. Standing up she looks around before focusing her attention on one spot her tail dashing to her side before holding still pointed along her flank in the very same direction.

Nodding her head the maned lioness abandons her newfound plant to investigate the stranger. She could always come back for the plant... once she'd found the perfect subject...

Moving along she finds the woman almost frolicking in the swamp seeming to collect herbs and plants. Watching the stranger, Eloise flicks her tail and nods her head "Yeah.... maybe" she replies studying the woman with interest as her tail rises by her side, the fluffy white tip points to the woman as Eloise nods her head. "Wasn't going to, besides she looks... strange," the lioness says, not really caring if the dark woman can hear her. To Eloise the woman looked kinda strange or maybe even sick, her fur seemed off... or maybe it was just because it was short and thin... Eloise was so used to big fluffy lions due to the cold temperatures of the abbey.

WIDE AWAKE IN THIS VIOLET CITY Nusura had realized that Alaric likely chose Ecrosia because it was bordered by two factors sufficient to guard it. The ocean on one side and a massive, dense jungle on the other. Surely the Mire lions would have the upper hand should an invading force traverse the jungle, being that they had to navigate it regularly to not only patrol their borders but to come and go from their home. The jungle was like the vine-wrapped arms of the beating, wet heart of Ecrosia. Nusura rippled beneath the heavy canopy of the forest, listening to the life that teemed from its branches. Birds and foliage unfurled in a harmonic cacophony of life that only changed to include the trickle of water as she delved more into the forest and found the adjacent swamp. Gnarled trunks like teeth became apparent in her milky vision, the green slop upon the surface of the water gathering at her legs as she waded through. Webbed toes feeling the cool waters, ears swiveling to listen for the subtle hiss of alligators. She attempted to be quiet, graceful, but at times it was impossible for her. Stumbling here or there over a root or log, mud caking on her fur. Yet navigating through the swamp wasn’t as unpleasant as others felt, despite her relative disadvantage. The water and mud worked to conceal her scent, meanwhile the world was open to her as a banquet of sensory pleasure. A voice tickled the bone in her ears, causing her to shift her head slightly in the direction, though her eyes merely rested unseeing and thoughtful, even as she craned her head. The words seemed to suggest the woman was...spying. Nusura considered whether she was the target. The stranger was speaking to someone else, though the second voice could not be heard, and they were too far from her location for her to parse out the stranger’s shape amidst the dense foliage to see it was not another being she was talking to but...her own tail. Another body was closer, however, a hoary shape with a familiar jagged texture detectable even with limited sight. The watery frame of the woman drew Nusura’s attention, who approached by pulling herself up from the water, which dripped from her dark frame in glistening rivulets. "Do you know you are being watched?" She asked casually, although loud enough that the other stranger could hear and know that she had been detected. Even so, her voice resonated with a voluptuous sort of curiosity. Nusura would be a dishonest woman if she claimed the stranger who had trespassed in the Mire did not interest her. Of course, Nusura hadn’t been picked by the Rimari order and trained for years in the art of honesty, had she? @Brynja @Eloise

take me to church The jungle was the closest place to home that she had managed to find and so she stuck to it like an insect caught in a spider's web. Over the past week or so Church had become quite familiar with the swamp, particularly the large, gnarled trees that were scattered across the terrain. She had always been an excellent climber, but then again, she had to be if she wanted any chance of survival until she was old enough and large enough to truly fend for herself. Today was no different as she sat perched on one of the large branches, mismatched gaze of cotton candy watching the area curiously. And it didn't take long for strangers to emerge like creatures from the swampy water. What was interesting was the one not only had a thick mane (like Talitha) but she was talking to her tail! Wow, lions must really be crazy. No wonder tigers didn't really socialize with them. She bit back the giggle that rose in her throat, watching the two strangers until a third entered the scene. This one was a patchwork of colors, but the most interesting was her milky white gaze. Do you know you are being watched? The woman spoke and instinctively the cub flattened her body prone against the tree limb, trying to make herself even smaller then what she was. She was far too out-numbered and didn't want to be noticed, at least not yet anyways. Her ears swiveled, listening intently. Perhaps she had already been found out but until they knew her exact location she would stay hidden. *Church is attempting to be hidden @Nusura @Eloise @Brynja▽

The muffled sounds of the swamp filled the air around her, ambient white noises of movements through plant, through waters, and birds crying overhead. Muted sounds suggesting another hit Brynja's ears but it wasn't until the Ecrosian woman came up to her and spoke directly that the wolfish beastly looking woman made any effort to stop what she was doing. Hauntingly bright eyes, glistening and alluring, turned to her. Does being watched frighten you? Brynja mused to @Nusura, the only one around that she could actually fully detect and see. A question answered with a question. A fae's dance. The itch of being watched bit along the back of her neck, sent a shiver down her spine, but the nuisance of that itch was familiar to Brynja. Not that it was wise to ignore, but no sense worrying either. You get used to it. She said sternly, tossing her muzzle up a bit not to point towards anything but to ensure parts of her bare, stretched and leathery skin would be well within Nusura's eyeline. Everyone would always think they had a right to stare at the strange, at the different. No changing that. Most were too scared and nervous to approach or ask what was up so would be no harm.

She strode to a nearby tree where a dried vine curled up the bark, its foliage flesh long turned brown and dry. She began to work her claw up its length breaking the tendrils that still grasped tight to the tree so that she could take a section of it for herself.

Others arrived, oh well one other arrived...

This new stranger seemed more aware of Eloise than the first and the lioness watched with curiosity. She hadn't really been trying to hide, with so much stuff around, so many new and intriguing plants, it had seemed futile to spend energy on something other than studying the lush plant life around her. The two spoke, the odd one seeming unbothered by the idea of being watched even asking if the newcomer was scared... Eloise interested in her answer and ignorant of IT's disapproval ignored her lashing tail as she pushed through the foliage into the light.

"Wasn't intending to scare anyone" she mused a hum to her voice as she approached them referring to the odd once's earlier question. Though her attention was soon drawn away from the newcomer back to the odd one as she seemed to gather a plant sample in the shape of a vine. It looked mostly dead to her being brown and all... most climbing plants she knew of were green and lush, they only turned brown when dead. "You know what kind of plant it is?" Eloise questions her voice intrigued and interested as her ears tipped forward in her pale mane and her eyes widened a slight bit with interest "what it's good for?" it is never too late to learn something new...

WIDE AWAKE IN THIS VIOLET CITY Casual indifference is like a glassy sheen between them, even as she politely considers Brynja’s answer. "Frighten? No. But I consider it important information." She said, the sharp tone of her voice at odds with the casual way she meanders around Brynja, sweeping her eyes over the tree that seems to have her attention and listening to the tender snap of a vine. Collecting herbs, then? Interest piqued, Nusura gets close enough that she is able to respond with ample time should witch have venom...but the next words that swiftly unfurl from her mouth are low, hissed through clenched jaws. "You are lucky she didn’t flay you back there. She shattered the leg of the last rogue to show up in Ecrosia, and she didn’t even win that fight." Nusura doubted her reprimand would be met with anything but scorn, and that was okay. She wasn’t finished. "So the next time I try to help you, I suggest you consider my generosity a limited resource." A cold snap of her tongue, followed by a long drag on a cigarette. Now that she had gotten that off her chest, she leaned back to restore the space between them and allow the insouciance of her demeanor to snap back into it’s practiced pose. Cool as she could be, she still wasn’t sure exactly why she wanted to help Brynja at all. Perhaps it was for the chance of more medics, now that it was clear she had certain kills. It was then they were interrupted by the watcher in the wings, and Nusura’s ears twitched and her head cocked in the direction of the odd woman. Seemed the stranger was just curious. Perhaps intending to learn. Nusura cocked her head in the other direction, back toward Brynja, and made a show of quirking her brow. "Well? What does it do?" Was it a test of Brynja’s skills? Let her think so. Truth was, Nusura had no bloody clue what the other woman had plucked off the tree or what it did. Let’s find out. @Brynja @Church @Eloise

take me to church Well, these ladies were interesting enough indeed. Church had yet to make herself properly acquainted and to be fair she didn't have plans on doing so, at least not yet anyways. Though her curiosity was piqued as @Brynja worked to rip a vine off of a nearby tree. She watched with cotton candy gaze as the women chattered amongst them but Church otherwise remained mute. She crawled forwards on her belly, scooting closer so she could peer over the branch she occupied to watch. Well now that the woman had a proper audience perhaps, she would be inclined to teach them all what this vine did. Church initially hadn't had any ideas of becoming a healer, but if there was something she could take back and tell Talitha she would certainly pay heed to whatever Brynja had to offer. No harm my dear. Brynja said to @Eloise, tipping her skull in the direction of the stranger. No one was scared. A flash of her bright eyes went to @Nusura. Narrowed, darkened. Except maybe this one..

You talk mightily free of Ecrosia's business in foreign company. Brynja lifted a brow, amusing herself and attempting to dismiss the conversation with two firm strikes of her tongue. Next time save your generosity for someone who actually needs it instead of shoving it down my throat. Unsolicited advice. Wasted time and energy... and the resurfacing manufactured memory of her bare skin being touched glistened behind her eyes.

Don't have a fucking clue what it was- it's dead now. She said with a shrug. Brynja handled the vine roughly for a second, setting it down so the side that clung to the tree bark faced up. It was not normally in her wheel house to teach, not something she enjoyed for certain. But, if these are able to let the vine climb the tree bark they should be able to help hold skin shut and anchor it until it heals. She knew of a school and her experience came from not merely stuffing herb after herb down someone's gullet until something worked. Healing skin came from tending to wounds, preventing infection in the first place so you did not need to waste herbs. Physical manipulation of the body.

The newcomer seemed uncaring of her presence and Eloise decided to do the same. The lioness with the vine was far more intriguing. Or she was till she admitted having no idea what the plant did... a shame.. a waste of time... Her tail rose to her side and Eloise rolled her eyes looking back at it for a moment before looking to the woman her eats rising further in her mane as the odd one spoke about potential uses... Interesting, useful. A smile spread on her lips as she moved forward to look at the tree and the vine further her eyes shining with interest and excitement. "Maybe it could be used to bind other things... when collecting bigger herbs and leaves or sticks." she mused aloud more to herself than any of the others.. or the odd one.. the newcomer had been forgotten, she wasn't interested at the moment so Eloise didn't care even if It seemed to think she should as her tail waved behind her seeming to sway in the direction of the lionesses in a sweeping motion.

"But is a dead one gonna be useful for any of it? isn't it too fragile like dried grass or leaves?" she questioned the odd one, @Brynja, as she made her way to the tree to try and reach a piece for herself. Her frame rose to lean on the trunk as she pulled at the vine to get another piece down. She wasn't doing all the well at the moment her claws seemed to get stuck on the bark just as much as the wine and it just wasn't breaking...
