Ronin remained silent and ready, listening and watching as others showed up for both sides. It seemed there was a lot of chatter to be voiced from the uprising side of things, but Ronin would remain silent, words meant very little now, it was action that would decide things. When the action finally began, he found his eyes set on @Ransom and would surge forward into the battle eagerly. His opponent fought well, but in the end, one had to give and this time it was not Ronin. Blood would run hot down his body where claw and tooth had punctured his hide, but he would not be the only one bleeding in this battle. Ronin would snarl a warning to Ransom, even as the leader of the uprising called for a retreat as each of his allies fell beneath those of Alaric’s comrades. There was some talk, some bragging, but for the most part, Alaric’s allies would leave as quickly as they had come. No matter, the important thing was that they had prevailed this time. He doubted this would be the last time the King had to call his allies to his side. This was not over.

Ronin would look to the King and nod to him, “if I am needed, holler and I’ll come.” He would rumble before turning and heading deeper into their secured home. He’d lick his wounds and recover, ready for another battle.

Defeat was always a sour taste, but Morrigan, much like everything else the gods seemed to torment her with, was forced to take it in stride. The urge to throw herself back into another fight was strong, but she was only here as an ally this time, and as the rest of her wounded comrades began to turn and leave, the Greyflood would do the same. There were faces in the usurper's side who Morrigan had once thought toed the line of ally, but no longer. Whatever Avaneira's loyalties might have been, they weren't Morrigan's anymore. Too much trust had been lost or broken and the darker side of the woman found herself mentally goading a reason for a proper war, no matter how costly it could be. exit morrigan

BARBARIAN: +10 Take part of an uprising. +5 lose a fight. His pale skin got damaged by one of the criminal's followers, a female he didnt know and yet he did his best not too be overly savage. Yes they were fighting for a cause, against usurpers but this female wasnt the male who took their home, so he didnt put all the blame on her. But soft meant he had let her blows hit but doing his best to keep them away from vital parts, including eyes and underbelly. Making his rear and back the ones to receive all the damage. Done and full of blood he had gotten enough, besides his still healing leg made him slower and more prone to not fight on his full strength. It was a lost cause, and he knew when he had lost. He said nothing but did his best to memorize her face for later. Limping he was gone to wherever he could get shelter. exit sanson

there is venom on all sides, angry words and spitting faces. @Dysnomia snags his ire first, and he curls his lip as his venomous gaze narrows on her -- "pregnant or not, my wife will send her opponent to the dirt. we fight for our future." was it ideal? hardly. but this is what they were putting on him. alaric had won his crown, but still they demanded more blood, more penance.

@Morrigan, then, and a dark chuckle fell from the mire king's lips. "cub killers? yet you all praise the sigrun as they send their own flesh and blood to drown in the sea." hypocrites the lot of them, and alaric does not lower his voice. his words ring clear among the gathered few -- he does not care who hears them. did they all know?

of course @Maia is there, and her fiery words earn little more than a scoff. "i look forward to the day i can make you bleed," he taunted back, for he would invite her any time to cross claws.

in the end her threats are all for naught, and his chest swells with pride as he downs his foe and those that came with him fall too. alaric's alliances hold strong, his friends stand proud, and he is thrilled to see this uprising fall apart.

@Zoticus earns his attention and is given a nod, a small tip of his head that sums up all that he wishes to say.

@Keir has words and Alaric cannot smother his laugh -- "it is over, little boy." a sneer on his lips, a curl that shows his teeth, blood-stained and yellowed with age and experience. "but come back and i'll show you again if you haven't had enough." his claws flex and his eyes spark with amusement as if he can barely resist the desire to fight right then and there and show his worth again.

@Walpurgis and @Arjana earn a grateful look, as do @Kazimir and ilarion. @Violarum is quick to leave, but he hopes the boy knows he has earned the king's respect today. @Rielus, too, and an added -- "i will seek you out soon" -- spoken as a clear promise. they would talk, hopefully, and see if this friendship could stand the test of two prides divided. the oasis were unlikely to ever be allies, but alaric put far more weight in personal connections.

before they can all slip away he addresses them -- "thank you all again. i will not forget this day." the faces that have come will not be forgotten, and as he watches @ronin leave he feels nothing but satisfaction.

The fighting was over for now anyways but there was heavy thoughts on her mind. She felt conflicted from something @Alaric at had before the battle. About the Sigrun’s drowning their cubs. Surely no one would willingly drown their precious children? Parents are supposed to protect their babies not steal away their future. Thoughts for another time. As she faced her opponent in battle and the two danced she felt the thrill of bloodlust among other things as victory was theirs. Nodding her head to Alaric in the aftermath she paid little mind as the pale lion she had fought slunk away to nurse his wounds and pride. Or whatever he was off to do. Looking at Zoticus and Whopper as it was time to leave she followed silently yet in a cheerful mood.

Their allies continued to flock until one of the opposing side joined. So, only two? She watched with evident disappointment, mocking the dark boy with her expression. Then a bitch, scoffing, came into view and made a remark about Erna's pregnancy. Frankly, Erna imagined drawing her teeth into the woman's throat. Where she came from, pregnant women fought alongside the men. Why would they slack off? They were predators. If they could hunt while pregnant, then they can very much fight. And fight she will. "Pregnant or not, I'll still defeat you." She barked out, ready to have a go at @Dysnomia.

Morrigan joined in on the commentary, throwing more fuel to the raging fire that was Erna's fury. Not only that but she calls her a cub killer. The Rike wench couldn't remember when she'd ever killed a child. Did the onyx Sigrun rat she left as a bloody present on Saga's door actually die? She would've enjoyed watching the roach let out her last breath in front of the fanatics. Pain and suffering were all they deserved, especially the chimera woman. "As if you know anything about us, hündin." She spat to @Morrigan. When the grey ex-Sovereign - Maia, was it? - spoke some bullshit about gods and whatnot, Erna growled loudly. Enough. You talk too much, She snarled. Too much bark, too little bite.

And so they fought, Erna ending up in battle with a grey female. As the Rike had anticipated, she was the victor. @Zoticus' comment made her let out rough mocking laughter in between her panting. "This is what happens when you place your bets on delusions." Gods! Those pathetic little vermin crawling all over this valley were just like the Sigrun. No wonder the Rike's fanatical enemies made their nest here.

The foolhardy boy who led this uprising called to retreat, leaving a promise that he will return. She scoffed. Let him come, the new Ecrosians will send them moping the mud from the Mire's floor. Erna made sure to remember their faces. If she saw them again, she'll know who to attack.

As the defeated tucked their tails and ran, Erna turned around to follow Alaric alongside his supporters back into the swampland.

others arrive -- on their side, and the others. folded ears tick as more and more join, muscles burning with anticipation. soon enough, they pair off ( a rather respectful war, all things considered ) and each fight wages on. his challenger is @Roan -- a strangely familiar face, one he greets easily with a smile and sharpened claws. he is a formidable foe, a decent challenger, but ultimately kazimir comes out the winner. and the others, it seem, win too. victory rings for the mire's king though he feels little joy in it. it was nothing personal towards the other, former members -- but strength was strength, and there was a clear winner here. the others are sore with their loss -- as was to be expected -- and he meets their snarls with easy silence. the others bristle enough for them but the rurik merely seeks to take his victory and leave, intent on filling in ilarion on the recent turn of events.

The ghoul was not sure why they had failed, struggling to admit that the other side might have just been better. No, he would never accept that. Keir called for a retreat and the bloodied giant, exhausted from battle with the white faced male, heeded the order.

He caught a glimpse of Dysnomia, her form disappearing into the jungle trees. Ransom stumbled after the lioness, his battered body requiring rest but determined to see that she was okay. They would have to enact their plan B, now that Ecrosia was lost to them for good.
