It was time.

For the next couple of days after the planning thread Keir had been trying the best he could to keep his nerves in check and to make himself mentally and physically prepared for whatever was to happen. He made sure he was getting a little bit of exercise in, but not too much to cause for him to injure of overexert himself. He'd been taking naps and making himself sleep longer than normal so that he were well rested. And when his nerves couldn't calm themselves any longer, that was when he knew he had to round up his forces.

He stood at the borders of Ecrosia, his toes edging the line as narrowed eyes peered in. Ears would flick forward in alertness, his shoulders rolling and muscles tensing. Toes would then flex, allowing for his claws to unsheathe and grip the soft ground below him. Tail would lash behind him while he stood for several more seconds in silence before parting his maw and tipping his skull toward the the sky, releasing a bellowing call for all those that had allied with him, as well as announcing that the new King was no longer safe from the throne he had taken.

We're here to take back what is ours.

He had known it was coming. Amaryllis was vastly different than the land Alaric had come from, and he was mildly amused that he had managed to ruffle so many feathers. And why? For claiming a lioness and fighting for a pride.

Devil incarnate, clearly.

Alaric had rested as much as he could -- Uzma's healing had given him back some of his strength -- but he had been busy, too. Adding to his pride, building up alliances. Alliances that would now be tested, much sooner than he had hoped they would.

All he could do was make his way to face down the challenger, giving him no words because he did not find him worthy of them. Instead Alaric stood on his side of the border, claws flexed and lips curled in a snarl. Then, without breaking eye contact, he released his own bellow for support, calling for those that had pledged themselves to keeping what had been earned.

Days had gone by and nothing. Not a whisper, not a murmer. Nothing. The beast was beginning to wonder if the former members of the Mire had the balls to challenge Alaric. He took the time to sharpen his already long claws, eat small but frequent meals to ensure he wasn’t gut logged by meat when the time came to fight, but mostly, he rested and he paced. He was a gladiator made for war and the promise of it hung in the air, he just had to be patient. When the roar finally did come, and the King’s following right after, Ronin did not waste time. He’d rise from his reclined position, stretch hastily and then be off to meet the pissed off lions at their doorstep.

He was early, not all had arrived from either party. Alaric stood facing the one that clearly led the uprising, no words spoken (that he knew of). Good, there was no need, words had already been said, now it was time to prove if they could back it up. The Warmonger would move to stand next to the rightful King, not allowing mismatched gaze to shift away from the other side of the border, but his ears shifted towards the King, an acknowledgment that he was listening, waiting for the order. Lips twitching in a half smirk, half snarl, toes would flex, stabbing into the softened ground, ground that would soon be saturated with blood from both parties. The warmonger was ready, were they?

Unlike his more thoughtful pride mate, Violarum arrives with a belly full of food and a rather lax expression. Truth be told, he perhaps didn't really understand what he was getting himself into - with little more knowledge of loyalty than Alaric's promise for a body in his bed and meat upon his plate. The pale man had held true however, and it is painfully apparent upon the thickening of his flesh and the waddle within his clumsy stride.

It seemed there were a few angry faces here today; some craving revenge, others just craving a good time. Vio craving nothing. Except for maybe... aardvark. They had a unique spice as he had learnt in the last few days. And so he resists the urge to thud his backside down as he always did, standing somewhere nearby Alaric - casually pricking claws into damp sod in wait. There better have been more food after this. Or jiggly lionesses. Extra jiggly.

Zoticus had a feeling the call was going to come- he couldn't explain why, but rather only frown when the roar was summoned through the air. Jaws tightened, and Zoticus paced among the edge of his border for a small second. He was healed- his wounds no longer weakened him and the King was battle ready- but should he? Fighting was what brought numerous issues to his rule in Wolfbron... but he figured it wouldn't do too much damage to keep his word to @Alaric. He needed their alliance- and one day in the future he may need his aid too.

Before departing, Zoticus let out a summoning roar to any willing members of Firnen who wished to help support their ally in the uprising. He didn't truly expect anyone too - maybe @Arjana - but he hadn't gotten too close to his other members to actually make such a judgement. He intended to fix that sooner rather than later.

Drawing close to the borders of Ecrosia, he could easily scent the other lions in the air. Tongue would draw across his fangs as he stalked forward, face set in stone with a stoic emotion, prepared to draw blood. He looks upon the gathered - none truly looking familiar to him. Drawing upon the land, he crosses the border with a hard stare on @Keir , coming to stand on the defending side without an ounce of hesitation. His claws unsheathed partly into the ground, and Zoticus aimed to meet Alaric's gaze, as well as @Violarum and @Ronin , showing them his support and silently assuring them he was ready to battle.

Her pregnancy was now more than visible. It was blatantly evident, her sides swelled and brimming with life. She was quite sick of this whole baby ordeal. What good was it? It only made her slower, tardier than usual. She wished it would end soon. It was truly unfortunate she won't be in top shape, but when did that stop her? When the call rang she stood from her resting spot, crawling out of the woodwork and appearing to stand by those gathered. She couldnt help it but smirk when the onyx challenger came into view. Their friendship had been the only adult friendship Rielus had formed outside of the Azars; their prior conversation had been riddled in promises. Even as he hadn't promised the family's aid, he had promised his own. To aide a friend in need. While he came there was only @Alaric whom he knew intimately, the other lions gathered were those he assumed Alaric had allied with. None of those present were faces he knew from Wolfbron, something he was greatful for. Thus far only one lion seemed to stand opposite of Alaric and his opposing mass of soldiers. Dark desert form would slip past the only lion in opposition of Alaric, skirting around to come stand with those gathered for the fearsome king. Glory held consequences, friendships were important, he realized as glacial eyes scanned the area. As he had pulled through on his end of the bargain he hoped that Alaric remained true words when it came time.

The day had started out like any other but the more it moved on the more uneasy the air grew. For some reason the orange faced lady felt as if today was going to bring trouble and she didn’t know why. Perhaps it was due to the fact her son Tanmay wasn’t around any longer. He had been sick and had disappeared before, but she was unsure if he had left to simply go explore the world around him or because he didn’t like the fact that their home had a new king once more.

She did hope it was to simply go exploring for @Zoticus wasn’t as bad of a High Sovereign many think he was. He was her friend. Someone she trusted and believed he had a good heart. His ideals didn’t align with everyone that was a fact, but not everything was as they seemed. For it seemed many were closed minded these days. Or would say one thing then become angry and to another thing when it happened to them and not to another.

For example she had known that their closest neighbors had been taken over not long after the Rainforest, but she hadn’t been there. No, she had been too busy doing damage control and trying to keep Wigglebutt from being the rainforest more heat after she had challenged the native pride. Yet she did understand that Firnen and the Mire had an alliance. One she had hoped wouldn’t need to be called upon so soon but didn’t seem to be in the cards as a summoning roar was sent out.

Standing somewhat near the borders Arjana stood still and listened. Soon enough Zoticus had sounded the war drums himself and summoned the pride to him. Allowing a sigh to escape her lips she too lifted her head and roared summoning the pride to gather and follow. She and Zoticus were a team after all and must stay united at such a time. Hopefully those who didn’t really trust Zoti but trusted her would hear and come. Marching now she followed Zoticus and said nothing. Ears back and head lowered over her throat she moved to stand next to the pink pelt red maned king while sizing up who had come to challenge the new mire king. ’Damn I know him.’ She cursed in her head as she looked at @Keir.

The obsidian giant is summoned, so dutifully, he heeds the call of his brother. Arriving at @Keir's side, Ransom lowered his broad head, shoulders rising up as he let his cool gaze drift across those standing on the opposite side.
One is clearly laden with cubs, the ghoul raised an incredulous brow. Were they so lacking in support they had to rely upon her to fight? Maybe she was the fiercest of their fighting force, whatever their reason, he hoped he would not be the one to come to blows with her.
Ransom did not know any of the others present, they were as unfamiliar to him as the new king. It didn't matter, whoever they were or weren't.

Walpurgis was built for war, born into it and only clumsily molded by it. The prospect of bloodshed had her slavering. Blood, glory, and ladies. She wanted ladies. The failure to take the Brook and its plethora of female scents kept her tantalized. Another battle - one she would win - must bring a prize, even if she had to drag it home herself and beg of her leader to keep it. Women. Lionesses. Where were the women? The only enemy voice had been male and Arjana's gender role was still very confusing. Plus Whopper was pretty sure she was on Arjana's side.

Quite literally. She snarled a welcome as she sidled up, clumsily aiming to brush along one side. @Arjana was familiar. Friend. Comrade. Female. "Where da other ladies?" she growled, her crooked tail lashing. She looked around. There were some pretty ladies, yeah, but none of them looked like Enemy. War wasn't going to be fun without hostages to take home and make love her.
