The satisfaction of besting both Tollaire siblings in combat had kept the Miroslav Princess happy for a little while now. Of course, Pallas's defeat had been a long time ago, but the triumphant feeling of overpowering Hestia had fed into her ego more than she could care to admit. It had, however, made her pay attention to the inky yearling and when Hestia stepped out of the pridelands, Victoria was quick to take note. There was, of course, the distinct curiosity that meant the Miroslav just had to know what was going on. But there was also the thought that Hestia did not appear to leave the Oasis often. She followed the slightly older girl out of the sandy Oasis and realised they were heading towards the centre of Amaryllis. She trailed behind, making sure to keep quiet so as not to alert the girl to her presence. But as the dark Tollaire entered the Pit, Victoria was only too happy for once to reveal her presence. A smirk sat firmly on her lips as she prowled on the edge of Hestia's battleground, before she found a flat rock to spectate from. For once, the Princess had no intention of throwing herself into the fray. She would watch instead - dark grey eyes narrowed towards the Tollaire girl and the smirk remained. Let's see what else you've got, Hestia. |
ooc: should she be doing this? nope. is she anyway? HELLYEAH. Since being pulled away from the fight at the challenge that saw Saga kill another lion, Cirilla had wanted to get stuck in and fight. But there was one problem: she had no one to fight. Her brothers were too good, too obedient, and she found that boring. Slipping away from the safety of the Cove, Cirilla made her way through the different neutral territories that surrounded her home. The Sigrún had become quite ept at escaping without being noticed: slinking away from the guards that her mother had hired was easy, and she'd done it that often, it was actually becoming a little boring. But regardless, the brown girl should be thankful - she was exploring, and that could say more than what her brothers were currently doing. When the child (because alas: that's all she is) found herself at the top of the pit, she slowed down to a halt. Cirilla had been here before, but today felt different. And it looked different too, especially since there was another lioness just there in the middle of the arena. Was she waiting to be beaten up? If that was the case... The brown pelted lioness moved away from the top of the Pit and she slunk away, moving down the well-trodden slope into the thick of the Pit. The ground was muddy and sodden with blood, and it smelt rich. A grin was plastered all over her lips at the thought of jumping into battle. Perhaps she was stupid, naive -- an idiot, even, but there was no one here stopping her. She didn't see @Victoria in the distance as the Princess settled on a rock that was positioned on the outskirt of the arena. The child was focused - rightly or wrongly - on her chosen opponent. 'Ey, you!She shouted, revealing her location to the older lion. Let's dance.Cirilla remarks and, without another word, begins to close the gap between her and the Tollaire. Admittedly, the ground was slippy, and she had to unsheathe her claws in a bit to find some traction against the mud. It felt like forever, but eventually the cub closed the gap between herself and @Hestia. With some gusto and determination, the girl attempted to lunge upwards to Hestia's throat, aiming to grab onto any sort of flesh that she could. Simultaneously, the girl attempted to shove her left shoulder into her chest, attempting to wind or bruise. (Another OOC: the size difference... She was bold, brash, hot-headed and fiery, but this was the only way that the girl would learn, especially if she made mistakes. The Sigrún had hoped that her mother would have stopped following her by now, but alas - this was not the case. The child would not notice @Úlla's appearance until after the fight had finished. Her tiny needle-like teeth do not find purchase on the intended target. Instead, they manage to find purchase in the centre of her lower neck. The feeling of flesh between her jaws is a new one, but one that she would eventually grow to enjoy as time pushed on. The girl was oblivious to the sort of damage she may have caused the yearling, especially when her left shoulder makes contact with the centre of @Hestia's chest. The thrill of success is short-lived, though. The older girl is much bigger and taller than the Sigrún child, and her teeth sunk firmly into the back of her head. With Hestia's teeth being much larger than Cirilla's, they are quick to make puncture wounds in the soft part of the tissue. This is the first time that the brown-pelted girl is to feel pain, real pain, and there is a mixture of a howl and a growl than forms in her throat. She resists the urge to pull away from her opponent, to surrender - because that would mean she had lost again, and that would disappoint her mom. That was not an option. Whilst the child wanted to be quick on her feet, she is not quick enough and Hestia's claws find grip on her neck, causing claw lacerations which would almost certainly scar due to the thinner tissue she had there. The feeling of fresh crimson blood running down her fur only fuelled her ambition. With Hestia's grip on the back of her head limiting her movement, Cirilla would attempt to lunge forward again and attempt to bite the girl's chest, aiming for her right shoulder where the lean muscle lies. Simultaneously, the girl would lift her right paw, unsheathe her claws, and attempt to punch and rake her claws down the left side of her chest. for Dominance Round 2 of 3 Hits: Rolling 2d20: 12 + 14 Dodges: Rolling 2d20: 14 + 2 Luck: Rolling 5d20: 15 + 6 + 19 + 14 + 8 |
Victoria was quickly learning that others flocked to a fight like scavengers on carrion - even if that fight happened to be just @Hestia flexing. When the dark yearling had caught her gaze and offered a curt smirk in return, Victoria felt almost as though they were on the same page. And then, the squeaky voice of a cub that Victoria vaguely recognised caused her brow to raise and a crow of laughter to bubble from her lips. Hestia was to prove her worth against a baby. Thankfully @Cirilla wasn't unaccompanied, though when silver eyes fell on @Ulla and @Finnulf she wondered what they thought of the odds. Even so, the young cub attacked fiercely and Hestia was forced to defend and retaliate - Victoria just couldn't help the chuckle of real amusement at seeing the fiesty Tollaire against such a diminutive opponent. |
